Marcus: Hey Everyone! Marcus here, and I've got news for you.
Marcus: Crest decided that in today's episode. I'll be doing the intro since he has a few things to announce at the end of this episode.
Marcus: And not only that, This will be a padded episode that will only focus on me and a few new Original Characters on my side of this story.
Marcus: I will not interfere with the plot. Instead, Brief hints from the original episode will be mentioned and most of the stuff is just Crest's work for his plot of the episode.
Marcus: Also he said that don't flame this episode or this story for bad writing, bad character, or a bad plot. After all, He's doing his best to fix most of his writing in the future and like every living being. We're all bound to making mistakes from the past till now, and what we can do about it is to learn from them and move to a better future.
Marcus: That's all I can say, Enjoy the Episode and remember Crest doesn't own Rick and Morty. He only owns me!
Marcus' Dimension Room (Marcus' POV)
I just returned from a job, and I started cleaning my blades from alien blood since I had to fight my way out from several armed guards just to kill a drug lord from the Calesius System.
But after I cleaned my blades, My computer announced, "You have 1 new message..."
"Who's it from?" I asked as I focused on sharpening my blades without sparing a glance at the Computer.
"Message from Ragnarous Vex Andrel" The Computer announced, and I immediately stopped sharpening my blades, dropped the wrist blades onto a table, and went towards my desk.
Soon, I opened the message and readied the following:
Ragnarous Vex Andrel:
Hey Marcus!
Listen, I have a job for you today.
My father has told me that if I want to ascend the throne in the future. I would require the proper knowledge to manage it should my father pass down the Empire to me. That's why he decided to give me some of his meetings with other races from different sectors and systems to learn more about Diplomatic Approaches and Negotiations.
And that's where you come in. I want you to act as my Bodyguard in case one of those meetings goes horribly wrong or some Galactic Federal Ships started intercepting us from establishing an alliance with Independent Planets or Systems to the Zeno Empire.
I haven't thought of the reward just yet. But depending on how dire the situations become, I promise that I compensate you with whatever you need as a reward for finishing this job.
So... Do we have ourselves an agreement?
I thought long and hard about this job. Normally, I would settle in with several amounts of money as a reward. But Zeno Empire and I have a long history in fighting against the Galactic Federation side-by-side. In fact, it's one of the few reasons why I refused Galactic Federal Jobs and willingly interfere with their plans in dominating the entire universe as their own.
The Prince of the Empire is not only my most frequent client, but he also happens to be my best friend since he and I had our fair shares in fighting against the Galactic Federation and we ofter hang out with each other when we both have nothing to do in our occupations.
After processing my decision, I typed in my reply.
Marcus Smith:
You got yourself a Deal, Ragnar.
But I expect something in return since I don't like doing shit for free and your no exception in this role. Got it?
After sending the reply back to the Prince. I waited for his reply, soon enough, another message appears on the screen and I opened it.
Ragnaros Vex Andrel:
Sure thing, Marcus.
And I promise that I will repay you with whatever you want when the task is done.
I turned off my computer, went to my armory, and started preparing with the following:
The first one was my helmet with NanoTech suit built into it (Death Trooper Helmet and the NanoTech suit inside the helmet is similar to the Predator Killer but without the large guns on the shoulder), Next one was my Signature Blaster Pistol along with Slugger rounds, Fragmentation Rounds, Plasma Rounds, and Some Proximity Mine Rounds, and lastly, was my Carbine Blaster Rifle (Death Trooper Rifle with a Multi Vision Scope attachment, and a laser attachment)
Once I had everything ready, I decided to hide them since I don't want my family to see my equipment. So I put my helmet, and Blaster Pistol inside a bag while I disassembled my Carbine Blaster Rifle into three parts and placed them inside a briefcase.
After I've placed them inside my briefcase and bag, I went out of my interdimensional room, headed downstairs. There, everyone in the living room except Rick sees me heading towards the door.
"Marcus, Where are you going?" Beth asked,
"I'm... going out with a friend," I said,
"A friend?" Beth questioned,
"Yeah, He just called in and he wants me to hang out with him for today. He's also coming here to pick me up as well," I said, and just in time someone knocks on the door, "And there he is now,"
I went towards the door, opened it, and everyone stands up from the living room, and went towards the door.
There, they see a young teenage boy who's at the same age as Marcus, has brown hair, sapphire blue eyes (Everyone in the Series has black eyes so there will be a few exceptions,), wearing a grey shirt, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes. This was Ragnarous Vex Andrel, Marcus' best friend, and his most frequent client.
"Hey, Marcus," He greeted, then he turns to my family wearing confused looks on their faces, "Is that your family?"
"Yeah, Everyone meet Ragnar, Ragnar meet Everyone," I said while gesturing him to my family and back.
"Hello," Ragnar greeted,
"Um... Hi," Summer greeted, waving to him.
"Hey," Morty greeted, raising his hand a bit
"Nice to meet you too," Ragnar said, then turns to Jerry "And you must be..."
"Hi, My name is Jerry Smith and I'm Marcus' Father... So, quick question, how did you and my son got acquitted with each other?" Jerry asked,
"I met him online, we became friends and started hanging out with each other when he has the time for it," I said, then turned to Ragnar, "Speaking of which, Is your Uncle here by any chance?"
"Yeah, He's currently waiting by the car," Ragnar said and points at the car parked right across the house.
As for Ragnar's Uncle, He was waiting outside the car, wearing a brown collared shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, brown eyes, and has a dirty blonde hairstyle and physical appearance that similar to Bruce Willis. In which, the family notices the last feature of Ragnar's Uncle.
"Why does he look like the guy from that movie called 'Die Hard'?" Summer asked, squinted her eyes at Ragnar's uncle
"He's basically a fan to the franchise and decided to look just like the guy," I said, then placed my hands onto Ragnar's shoulders and turned him away from the family "But enough about questioning me and friend, Ragnar and I will be going now and I'll be back in a few days since I'll be sleeping at his house and I'll be going on an outing with his family on a few places,"
"Okay... Just be careful sweetie," Beth said, while I kept pushing Ragnar towards the car.
"Yeah, Mom! I'll be careful!" I said, then I turned my head to Ragnar and said, "Get in the car,"
"Alright, Man. You're a bit impatient you know," Ragnar said, going to the passenger seat while I went at the backseat of the car.
As Ragnar's uncle started the car, I pulled down a window and waving at my family as I go. They waved back and their goodbyes until the car made a right turn and the house was no longer in sight.
I pulled up the window again and sighed heavily as I leaned back from the seat, Ragnar notices this and turns to me from the passenger seat.
"Why were you in such a hurry?" Ragnar asked,
"Because I can't have my family getting suspicious when they start asking questions," I said, then I leaned forward from the seat, "Speaking of which, Can you take off those disguises already? It's not like anybody will recognize you since the car windows are tinted with the coating I designed,"
Ragnar and his uncle glanced at each other for a moment, then nodded as they take off their disguises by removing what looks like a faceless mask from their faces.
These are ID Masks (Ben 10), a mask that lets you disguise yourself to be another person depending on who that person is inputted within the mask. And these masks are capable of fooling anyone once the wearer uses the mask. But they still contain a few flaws that could expose the wearer's true appearance to everyone around them.
After Ragnar and his Uncle had removed their masks. Ragnar's skin color changed from Caucasian to emerald green, and he was wearing a dark emerald green vest over his grey shirt, the Zeno Empire Insignia patched to the right side of his vest while his uncle was none other than Dezar wearing his Custom Made Armor without the helmet.
"That's better," I said, then I pulled out my helmet and placed it on my lap "First things first. Who are you going to meet?"
"There's a lot of places I need to go today. But the first meeting involves a couple of Zigerions," Ragnar said and my suspicion level has increased for a moment.
"Zigerions? What does the Empire want with them?" I asked,
"My father arranged a meeting to buy a few Processor Chips from them. But not only that, We received a tip that they're trying to create Concentrated Dark Matter," Ragnar explained and I got curious about the last part of his explanation.
"Concentrated Dark Matter? Isn't that stuff hard to make?" I questioned,
"It is, But the Zigerions we heard about are making plans in creating it and My Father wants to discuss terms of trade with them," Ragnar explained,
"I see... But I have my doubts with those guys," I said, "After all, My Grandfather told me that the Zigerions are the most ambiguous and least successful con artists,"
"I'll take note of that, Marcus," Ragnar said, then he turns to Dezar "Dezar, Once we make a turn on an alleyway. We take flight towards the cruiser,"
Dezar nods and makes a few turns until he found an empty alleyway for him to park in. Once we arrived, Ragnar pulls down the glove compartment and presses a button that opens up a control panel. Dezar pulls down the sun visor, presses another button, and another control panel pops up with a few switches on them. He then flips a few and the car started transforming to a spacecraft.
Once the transformation was done, It started taking off from the ground, and both Dezar and Ragnar started piloting the ship into the air.
"Increasing Altitude," Dezar said, flipping a switch and the ship started gaining more altitude and we're already above the clouds. The Spacecraft happens to have a function that makes the ship undetected by radar.
A few minutes later, We were already outside Earth's Atmosphere and I leaned forward to the two.
"Quick question, Where did you dock the ship?" I asked,
"It's hidden behind Jupiter since you don't want us being detected by Earth Scientist, So you might as well settle in for the time being," Dezar said,
"I see, In that case," I said, then proceeded to lie down on the backseat, "Wake me up when we get there,"
As I took a nap at the backseat, Ragnar and Dezar continued piloting the spacecraft as it heads its way towards Jupiter,
Timeskip
"Hey, Marcus. Wake up, We're almost there," Ragnar informed, and I started waking up from my nap as I rubbed my eyes and blink a few times.
At that point on, we saw a large Dreadnought Ship accompanied by two Heavy Cruiser ships, docked just behind Jupiter, and both Ragnar and Dezar landed the spacecraft inside the landing bay. (The Space Cruiser models that drakin6345 is the Dominion Dreadnought and Heavy Cruiser from Star Trek and the Light Cruiser are Bulldog Light Cruisers by karanak. Disclaimer: I do not own the Ship's Design, It belongs to its original creator!)
Once we've landed inside the ship, I decided to look professional as I picked up my helmet, wore it on my head, pressed a button, and the NanoTech suit started appearing all over my body.
Soon enough, Ragnar, Dezar, and I step outside the spacecraft and we were greeted by the Commander of the cruiser along with his Lieutenants.
The Commander was Glidoozian wearing a cyan tunic and trousers, a brown leather belt with a silver buckle, shoulder pieces with three yellow stripes, black boots and gloves, and a badge with the Zeno Empire Insignia placed to his left chest. The Lieutenant to his Right was a Flooxian wearing the same standard uniform except for his shoulder pieces only has two yellow stripes on them. The Lieutenant on the Commander's left side was a Gromflomite wearing the same standard uniform and has the same shoulder pieces as a Lieutenant.
As we approached the Commander and his escort, all three of them stood up straight started saluting at us.
"Prince Ragnarous, Sir!" He and his escort said in unison.
"At ease, you three," Ragnar said, and the Commander along with his Lieutenants stopped saluting and put both of their hands behind his back. Ragnar then turns to me and said, "Marcus, This is Commander Zax *Gestures at the Glindoozian*, and his Lieutenants, Vermil *The Flooxian* and Yael *The Gromflomite*"
"Pleasure to meet you three," I said under my mask while offering a handshake to the three.
"Likewise, Marcus Smith," Commander Zax said, shaking my hand while his lieutenants followed suit.
"You know, It's been a while since I got to a Space Cruiser and I still can't get over my impression with a ship this large," I said, as I wander my eyes all over the ship
"Well, This is one of the large ships the Empire has in store," Commander Zax said, "Now if you will follow me to the bridge, We will commence our warp drive on your Order, Prince Ragnarous,"
"Well then, Let's get this show on the road," I said, as Commander Zax and his Lieutenants guided us to the bridge of the cruiser.
Short Timeskip
We all arrived at the bridge, and most of the staff turned their heads to us, stood up from their posts, and gave separate salutes to us.
"Officer on deck!" The First Officer greeted,
"At ease, men," Commander Zax said, then he goes to the center of the bridge "Now, Set the coordinates of our first destination,"
"Yes sir! Inputting coordinates now," One of the Officers said, inputting the coordinates of the next designated system on the control panel.
"Engaging Hyperdrive Sequence," Another Officer said, operating the Cruiser's Hyperdrive.
"Adjusting Navi Computers," A Navigation Officer said, making the necessary calculations of the ship's course.
After making the necessary preparations for the Ship's course. The First Officer turns to Commander Zax,
"We're ready and waiting on your order, Commander," He said, and Commander Zax nodded.
"Commence Warp Jump on my mark," Commander Zax said, looking down on his watch. It counted down about ten seconds, It was enough time for me to hold onto a handlebar while Ragnar and Dezar grab onto the railings. Once the watch reaches zero, Commander Zax raised his head to his crew and said "Mark!"
With a couple of switches and buttons, The Hyperdrive of the ship was engaged and The Cruiser jumps to hyperspace in lightspeed.
As we waited for the Cruiser to make its way out of Hyperspace, I've decided to let go of the handlebar and approached Commander Zax.
"Hey, I've got a quick question, Zax," I said, and Zax turned his head to me.
"What is it?" He asked,
"How long will it take to get to the designated system?" I asked,
"Judging from the distance between our previous destination and the next. I'd said, We'll be there for about 5 minutes before we reach the system," Commander Zax concluded.
"I see," I said, before rejoining with Ragnar and Dezar,
As the Cruiser travels through Hyperspace. We've waited for our first arrival in the next system.
Timeskip
Five minutes later, The Cruiser exits through Hyperspace and there. We saw a large red planet in front of us.
"Commander, We have arrived at the designated point," The First Officer said,
"Excellent work," Commander Zax said,
"Are there any signs of the Zigerions' Ship?" Ragnar asked, and the Commander simply replied, "We'll try to search for their ship in orbit since they've agreed in meeting on this very system. If there isn't any sign of them, I guess we'll move on to the next system, Your Highness,"
"Okay, We might as well wait for their arrival," Ragnar said, and Commander gave the order to search of the Zigerions Ship.
Meanwhile, In the Zigerion Ship (3rd POV)
Prince Nebulon is seen on his chair, relentlessly tapping two of his feet on the floor while his ship is currently on it's way to the meeting point.
"Prince Nebulon, We're about to reach our designated point in the system," One of his Staff said,
"Finally! Do any of you have an idea of how important this meeting will be?" Nebulon asked, and his Crew simply shrugged their shoulders in confusion while the Prince himself facepalm at this.
"My God, I'm talking about our negotiation with an Imperial Prince of the Zeno Empire? Hello? He's like our most important contact than anyone else on the list," Nebulon scolded
"But, Sir. What's so important about making this meeting our first priority before we commence our plans to stealing Rick Sanchez's formula for Concentrated Dark Matter?" Stu asked,
"Because they're paying a lot of credits in exchange for a couple of processer chips, and they're also want to buy that Concentrated Dark Matter from us," Nebulon explained, "After we get what we need from Rick Sanchez, We'll not only be able to make Concentrated Dark Matter, but we'll also get a load of credits after we sold some of them to Empire. See? It's like killing two birds with one stone,"
Nebulon's crew soon gets the idea... but all except for one person.
"Can't we just scam them or something?" Kevin asked, and Nebulon stood up from his chair, approached Kevin, and gave him one hard slap across his face.
"Are you fucking out of your mind, Kevin?!" Nebulon yelled, "The Emperor's son isn't someone we can just scam for anything! If we do something like that to him, He will be coming after us with a fucking fleet that will undeniably kill us all!"
"I also heard rumors that the Prince of the Empire can send in a Highly Trained Mercenary when he feels threaten or deceived," One of Nebulon's men said,
"Exactly, and I'm not risking everything I... I mean we, we've worked so hard to achieve. So let's do this deal very smoothly and hope that the Mercenary that was mentioned earlier, doesn't come and kill us all," Nebulon said, and his crew, including Kevin, agreed with him.
Back to the Imperial Cruiser (Marcus' POV)
I sneezed all of a sudden and got a bit of a runny nose after that. I decided to turn off my Nanotech suit, removed my helmet for a while, and rubbed my nose with my hand.
"Hey Marcus, Are you alright?" Ragnar asked,
"I'm fine, maybe the helmet had some dust inside or something," I said, rubbing off the sneeze with a handkerchief from my pocket, and wore helmet again as the NanoTech Suit appears all over my body.
"You think so?" Ragnar asked, and I shrugged my shoulders from this,
"Maybe... I mean It's been sitting in my room for a while, So there's bound to be dust inside of it," I said,
While Ragnar and I finished our conversation, one of Zax's officers gets a reading of a nearby vessel and said, "Commander Zax, We've detected the Zigerion Ship,"
Zax soon steps forward and orders "Send in transmission to that ship,"
"Yes, Commander, Preparing the Transmission," One of Zax's officers said, preparing to send in a transmission to the Zigerion Ship
In the Zigerion Ship (3rd POV)
Prince Nebulon was still sitting on his chair... Until...
"Prince Nebulon, We're picking up a transmission from a nearby vessel," An Officer said,
"Then patch it through, They must have arrived by now," Nebulon said,
Back to the Imperial Cruiser (Marcus' POV)
Soon enough, The transmission sent by Zax's order had gone through the Zigerion ship and what appeared on the hologram was Prince Nebulon, sitting on his chair. Prince Ragnar steps forward and goes into character.
"Greetings, My name is Prince Ragnaros Vex Andrel of the Zeno Empire and we're here to negotiate our terms of trade with you, Prince Nebulon," He said, and I mentally whistled at Ragnar going into his prince act.
"Ah yes, Of course. Everything your father requested is all packed up and ready to go! So... Do we like send this stuff to you or-" Before Nebulon could continue his sentence, Ragnar decided to speak up once again "I will be sending someone to go to your ship and retrieve the cargo,"
"Uh... Yeah! Sure... Do whatever you please," Nebulon said, nervously.
Ragnar then turns to me and Dezar and nodded his head. In turn, we nodded back and made our way towards the landing bay.
"They are now on their way to your ship," Ragnar said, then he suddenly frowns the Zigerion Prince "But if anything bad happens to them... You will become an enemy of the Zeno Empire,"
Prince Nebulon gulped a little since he fully knows too well about the Zeno Empire being the only one who can go toe to toe with the Galactic Federation. Most of the battles against the Federation were led by Ragnar's mother 'Empress Diolra'. and his Father 'Emperor Vargon' is a leader that rules with absolute monarchy over his territories.
Both were responsible for converting Federal Territory into Imperial Territory since the Empress is a cunning and fearsome general, while the Emperor is a born leader that was fully known throughout several galaxies in the whole universe. Put those two together, and you get Ragnar, The Prince of the Empire whose soon to become the Future Emperor of the Zeno Empire.
Meanwhile...
Dezar and I boarded the same spacecraft, and both of us piloted it towards the Zigerion Ship.
Minutes later, We both entered the landing bay of the Zigerion Ship, grabbed our weapons in case we get ourselves into a gunfight, and went out of the spacecraft. There we're greeted with a few Zigerion Guards and an Officer, holding onto a cart that has a few cargo boxes.
"I'll check the crate," I said with a voice module from my helmet, approached a cargo box, opened it, and inspected every last processor crystal inside. Since the helmets come with a scanner module, It lets me identify whether the processor crystals are real or not.
Once I've confirmed that every crystal inside the box is the real deal, I turned to Dezar and nodded, in which he nodded back, and went to the spacecraft.
Then he comes back with a large briefcase, places it onto the cargo box, opens it, and shows several Zeno Credits to the Zigerions.
"That's about 25,000,000 Credits, Just as promised," I said,
The Zigerion Officer lets go of the cart, and I started pushing the cargo towards the spacecraft and Dezar passes the credits to the Zigerion Officer.
After putting the cargo inside the spacecraft, Both me and Dezar entered the spacecraft, and I send a message through a transmitter.
"Ragnar, We have the package and were on our way back to the cruiser," I said, without the voice module.
"Good job, Marcus. Now return to the ship immediately," Ragnar ordered
"Roger that," I said, then turned to the Zigerions one last time, "Pleasure doing business with you,"
Soon, Dezar and I boarded on the spacecraft and took off as we returned to the cruiser.
Bridge (Ragnar's POV)
I received the transmission from Marcus and ordered him to return to the ship with the cargo in hand. Once I saw them returning, I turned back to Prince Nebulon and placed both of my hands behind my back.
"Now that we've finished our first order of business, What about the Concentrated Dark Matter we've heard about?" I asked,
"About that, We're still making attempts in creating it. So can you give us some time?" Prince Nebulon said,
I noticed the expression he was bearing and it looked like he was stalling. If Marcus' doubts are correct, Then he might as well stop the negotiations and move onto the next system. But since the rumor about Zigerions attempting to create Concentrated Dark Matter was recent, he decided to trust in his decision and try to hope that Zigerions will keep their end of the deal.
"Very well, I'll give you one week. If you manage to create Concentrated Dark Matter, Then we will talk about our negotiations sometime in the future," I said, and Prince Nebulon smiled for a moment. But stopped when I spoke again, "But! If you reach the deadline and fail to create it. Then the deal is off and we will cuts ties between you and the Empire, Am I understood?"
"Y-Yes, Your highness! I understand your conditions!" Prince Nebulon said,
"Good, That concludes our meeting for today, I'll see you very soon," I said before cutting off transmission between the cruiser and the Zigerion ship.
A few moments later, I sighed heavily while I wipe off the non-existing sweat away from my forehead with my arm.
"Man, That was hard," I said, and Commander Zax turns to me,
"In my opinion, you did a fine job, Your Highness," He said, and I nodded at that.
"Thanks, Zax, I appreciate your encouragement," I said, smiling, But soon I stopped when I turned to the front of the bridge, "But enough about that, Once Marcus and Dezar return to the ship. We make our next course to the second designated point,"
"Understood, Your Highness," Commander Zax said, saluting before continuing his duties.
Back to Marcus...
After receiving the Cargo from the Zigerions, I was the first one to step outside the spacecraft and removed the NanoTech Suit and Helmet as I took a breather.
"Something troubling you, Marcus?" Dezar asked, stepping outside his spacecraft.
"It just that Ragnar wanted me to be his bodyguard, not his delivery boy," I said, followed by a few groans of annoyance,
Meanwhile, Dezar chuckles at this and gave a few pats on the back.
"Don't worry about it, Marcus. I'm sure we'll get some action soon enough," Dezar said, and I smiled at his words.
"Yeah, I guess so... But right now, He's head back to bridge. I'm pretty sure that our Royal Highness is awaiting for our safe return," I joked, and both Dezar and I laughed as we went to the Bridge.
Once we've arrived at the bridge, Dezar and I stood beside Ragnar and nodded to him while the Prince nodded back and turns to Commander Zax
"Alright, Commander, Take us to our next destination," Ragnar ordered, and Commander Zax started giving out orders to his officers to make the necessary preparations for another warp jump.
Several seconds later, The Adjustments were set and the Cruiser goes into Hyperspace into the next system.
Timeskip...
After exiting through Hyperspace, We arrived on another system. In front of us was a large desert planet with few spots of water on the surface, and I frowned at this sight as I groan in annoyance.
"A Desert Planet... Why did have to be a Desert Planet," I complained, and Ragnar hears my words and asks "Is there something wrong, Marcus?"
"I've been to a bunch of these planets, and I've dealt with a lot of shit when it comes to those kinds of planets," I said,
"Such as...?" Ragnar questioned,
"Chances of Dehydration, Desert Bandits, Feral Aliens that Roam around, and the list goes on," I explained, "One time, I went to this Desert Planet for a job. I ended up getting chased by a huge ass sandworm that tried to kill me. It took a lot of bullets and running just to get away from it,"
"Whoa... Okay," Ragnar said, feeling surprised while he trails off a bit. Then he shakes it off from his mind and focuses on the true topic at hand, "But don't worry, Marcus. What we're doing here is different,"
"Then what would that be?" I asked,
"My Father received a distress call, and it said that the planet is currently suffering starvation and shows no signs of slowing. The Leaders of the Planet still remains its independence despite its dire situation. Most of their people were getting so desperate, That they've started to rebel against them and made several attempts in aligning themselves with the Federation in hopes of stopping this disaster completely," Ragnar explained, "Our job is to prevent this and convert the entire planet under our banner,"
"So basically, we're adding another planet under the list of every planet the Empire has control while helping out those who've suffered from starvation?" I asked, and Ragnar nodded,
"Exactly, But we will be arriving at the Capital City of 'Ograd' with the relief goods, and deliver them before the situation worsen in every passing hour," Ragnar said, and stared at the planet with concern, "I just hope we're not too late,"
Before I could reassure him, one of Zax's officers spoke up and said, "Sir! I'm picking up a transmission from the surface of the planet,"
Ragnar and I turned our attentions to this while Commander Zax steps forward and said, "Patch it through,"
Several seconds later, A Hologram of one of the Capital's Leader pops up in front of us. This alien's appearance was similar to a reptile-like species, its dark grey skin was scaly as an iguana, its head had a few small horns were popping out around the back, and claws and feet were almost long as a Komodo Dragon.
I immediately recognized the species of the aliens upon first glance and the name of their species is called the Ikkarians. One of the Reptile-like alien species I've encountered in my previous jobs.
The Transmission from the surface was a bit static and hard to understand. But with few adjustments in the Radio Frequency, The Statics stopped and a message plays out.
"To anyone who hearing this message, Do you copy?" The Ikkarian said,
Ragnar soon goes into character and approaches the Hologram.
"My name is Prince Ragnaros Vex Andrel of the Zeno Empire, and we hear you out and all clear," Ragnar stated, "But who am I speaking to?"
"My name is Helilles, Prime Minister of the Ikkiarian Capital, and we are in dire need of your assistance," The Ikkarian, now known as Helilles, said,
"What is your situation?" Ragnar asked,
"Most of the capital soldiers have defected from the army and joined with the rebels, Several Colonies are falling under the Rebel's control, and soon they will attack the Capital City in less than 6 hours with a full-scale assault. If the rebels succeed in taking control over Ograd, All will be lost," He explained,
"Very well, We will make the necessary preparations of sending in the shuttles to the capital as soon as possible," Ragnar said, "In fact, I will be leading the operation personally and help out with the situation as best as I could,"
The last part of Ragnar's explanation shocked everyone excluding me and Dezar, Commander Zax steps forward to him and said, "Sir! You can't just-"
Before he could finish his sentence, Ragnar cuts his off by saying, "I will not stand here and do nothing as I watch thousands of Ikkarians slaughter one another. My Father would have told the same thing if the situation persists in other worlds,"
I smiled at his words and saw the Resemblance between him and his father. They sought to help out with whatever they can and take a few risks in doing it, and despite my being a Mercenary, I have faith in Ragnar as the Future Emperor of the Zeno Empire.
Ragnar then turns back to the Hologram and said, "We will arrive in the planet's several in less than 3 hours, In the meantime, you must hold out until we arrive at the surface,"
"Thank you, Prince Ragnarous, I have faith in your arrival to assist us in this situation," Helilles said, and Ragnar nodded to him. Soon enough, The Transmission between Helilles and Ragnar was finished, and the Hologram disappears after Helilles had turned off his line of communication.
Ragnar then approaches me and said, "Marcus, There's something I want you to do,"
"What is it?" I asked,
"Listen, While I make the preparations of my arrival on the planet's surface, I want you to go down there and find out the cause of the Rebellion," Ragnar requested,
"Why would want me to do that?" I asked,
"Cause I have a feeling that there's a reason behind the Ikkarians Rebellion against their leaders, What I want you to do is find out the cause of all this and report to me," Ragnar said,
"Sounds easy enough," I said, placing my hands on my waist,
"True... But I don't want you to engage the rebels unless you're being fired upon, and don't cause any serious casualties on their side. We must resolve the planet's situation without causing too much death from Ikkarian Rebels," Ragnar added, and I put my hand under my chin.
"Well, that complicates things," I said,
"Don't worry about that, Marcus. Once my men are in position inside the capital city, I'll do what I can to divert the most of rebel forces' attention as you investigate the matter," Ragnar said,
"Hmmm... *Sigh* Fine, I'll do it. But I expect a higher payment once this is all over," I said,
"Thanks, man, I really appreciate it," Ragnar said, giving a few pats on my shoulder.
3 hours later...
Ragnar had escorted me to the landing bay, where several shuttle crafts are filled with soldiers and relief goods to aid the Ikkarians. Meanwhile, I boarded on Ragnar's Ship 'Mjolnir' (The Model of the Ship is a Jupiter 2 from Lost in Space, but the size of the ship is similar to the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars and the name, of course, comes from Thor's Hammer. I will explain this sometime in the Future)
Not only I boarded the ship, but Dezar and a handful of soldiers also came along with me since they'll be escorting Ragnar towards the Ikkirian Capital.
Soon, Ragnar and several Shuttle Crafts had departed from the Space Cruiser and made their way towards the Planet's Surface.
But as they entered the Planet's Atmosphere, The shuttle crafts were now under fire by several anti-aircraft defenses. Some of the shuttlecrafts were damaged as they headed towards the Capital City of Ograd, and a few of those Shuttle Crafts were severely damaged and crashed onto the planet's surface.
Ragnar had engaged his shields as he continued making his way towards the Capital. But some of the Anti Aircraft fire was making minor damage on his ships and the passengers were having a bumpy ride on the Imperial Prince's ship.
"Those Defences are going to deal with serious damage on the ship if we don't do something about it!" One of the Soldiers said,
He was right though, even with Ragnar's expert piloting skills. The Anti Aircraft Defenses would shred through his shields if nothing is done about it. But I wasn't going to let that happen.
I soon brought out the briefcase containing my disassembled rifle, started reassembling it, putting behind my back, and approached the bay doors. Then I pressed a button that opens the door, and everyone, including Ragnar and Dezar, saw me standing there as the bay doors started opening.
"What is that guy up to?" One of the soldiers asked, but his question was answered when I gave myself a running start and jump out of Ragnar's ship. Causing everyone, except Ragnar and Dezar, to gasped as I jump off the ship.
"Is he mad?!"
"We're about 1000 feet in the air, and the first thing he does is jump off a ship?!"
"Don't worry about it," Ragnar said, still focusing on piloting his ship,
"But sir?! He's gonna get himself killed out there!" A soldier said, and Ragnar smirks which surprised him a bit,
"Why should I worry about that? After all... He's the best mercenary in the whole universe, It would take more than an army to stop him," Ragnar said, causing everyone, except Dezar, to glance at one another in curiosity while the Imperial Prince presses a button that closes the bay doors.
Back to Marcus,
As I was freefalling towards a nearby Anti Aircraft site, I pressed a touch screen on my left gauntlet, and select a certain feature to my suit.
"Shield Generator Activated," A Female Voice said, as a holographic suit appears around my armor.
The Rebels manning the Anti Aircraft Gun spotted me, aimed their guns at me, and started firing several rounds of lasers towards my face. But the Shield Generator I created for my suit can take on large laser volleys of fire from battle cruisers or dreadnoughts. But that doesn't make it invincible since blocking incoming fire requires a certain amount of power to the Generator, and over-usage of the shield could lead to a malfunction to the shields and make it unavailable unless I repair it or replace it with a spare.
I was already 300 feet above the air and the anti-aircraft defense below me was giving everything it got to shoot me down. But the suit's shields absorbed most of the gunfire, and I braced my arms together once I was about 100 feet below.
Upon Impact, I crashed towards the Anti-Aircraft Gun and created a large dust cloud that covered the entire area. Some of the nearby Rebels had pulled out their Rifles (Models or Ikkirian Assault Rifles are similar to the Repeating Blasters from Star Wars Knights except it has the body of a rifle) and slowly closes in the dust cloud.
But within it, they heard a rifle being powered up, and all of a sudden. Someone shoots a single round at one of the rebels and the rest open fire at the dust cloud. But one by one, The Rebels were brought down, and strangely enough, They were only unconscious due to being shot by stun rounds from their enemy.
As the last Rebel kept on firing his rifle at the cloud, he also sees someone in the middle as the dust clears up. But was soon, shot by a stun round and falls to the ground with several bolts of electricity surging through his body.
Once the smoke clears up, I revealed me standing on top of a now-destroyed anti-aircraft gun. I looked up to and saw the shuttle crafts were out of range from the Anti Craft Guns.
My radar then picked up a shuttlecraft that crashed just a few miles away from my location and I also picked up a distress call within the site.
I boosted the frequency of my suit to reduce the system, and I started to hear the following message from the crash site.
*bzzt!* To anyone whose out there! This is Captain Aphorin! *bzzt!* My Squad and I are under fire by the Ikkirian Rebels and I've already lost two of my men in their attack. Requesting Support! I Repeat! Requesting- *bzzt!*
Since I still have some time before I continue on my job. I've decided to save them first as I readied my rifle and headed towards the crash site.
Crash Site... (3rd POV)
Captain Aphorin is a Female Glidoozian Soldier of the Empire. After the shuttlecraft had been severely damaged by the Anti Aircraft guns from the planet's surface, Some of her men including the Pilot of the shuttlecraft were injured after the crash.
The rest of them were fine but suffered minor injuries, but that was the least of their problems when the Ikkirian Rebels spotted the Crashed Shuttlecraft and started firing their rifles at the survivors.
Captain Aphorin and her men picked up their guns and fired back at the Rebels.
The Fighting went on for several minutes and Aphorin's men managed to repel most of the attacking Rebels but suffered two casualties during the battle.
Moments later, more of the Ikkirian Rebels arrived to back up the previous numbers of attacking forces, and Glidoozian Captain and her men were under heavy fire from the rebels.
They all took cover in the remains of the shuttlecraft and hoped that someone would come to their aid.
But luck was on their side when they hear several groans from the rebels, and they all took a peek and saw someone fighting against the Rebels.
And that someone, was Ragnar's Bodyguard...
Back to Marcus
Since Ragnar told me to lessen the death count on the rebels. I decided to knock them out cold by using a cloaking feature on my suit, sneak up to a couple of rebels, use a taser feature on my gloves to stunned them into the ground.
Once the coast was clear, I approached the Crash site and found a couple of Imperial Soldiers peeking out under their cover. One of them even raised his weapon at me, but Captain Aphorin placed her hand on top of the rifle and said "Don't shoot him, He's Ragnar's Bodyguard,"
As I approached them, She went towards me and saluted. But I waved it off and said, "At Ease, Captain,"
She lowers her hand, and I went past her to inspect the men that were injured in the fight. Aphorin went beside me and checked the pulse of her men.
"He's dead, but the rest aren't," She said, and I turned to her and asked, "Are there any more of your men nearby?"
"I picked up a distress call not too far from here. If we don't hurry, We might lose them," She said,
"Then gather what you can carry and bring the injured to a safe location," I said, then turning away from them and started walking while saying, "I'll go on ahead and save what remains of your platoon,"
"All by yourself? Why not take one of two of my men with you?" She asked, feeling concerned.
"Don't, They'll only slow me down. Besides, you'll need them to carry the injured out of this site," I said, as I stopped a few meters away from them, "What's are the coordinates of the next crash site?"
"Just 300 meters North West from here," She said, pointing at the direction.
"Good enough," I said, pressing the touchscreen of my left gauntlet, activated my cloak feature, and disappeared as I departed to the next crash site.
Meanwhile, Captain Aphorin stared at my previous position but soon started moving the injured alongside her men with one thing flowing through her mind.
"Stay Safe..." She said in thought while moving an injured soldier.
Next Crash site, a Few Minutes later...
The Crew of the Second Crash Site were defending themselves from large numbers of Rebels.
Soon enough, I arrive and shot several stun rounds at the Rebels and the rest started retreating after their numbers have dwindled into a handful while they dragged the injured out of the battle.
I turned off the cloaking device and approached the crew of the Shuttlecraft. But they all raised their guns at me, and I stopped walking towards them.
"Identify yourself!" A Soldier said,
I put my rifle into a holster behind my back and told them, "There's no need to shoot! Aphorin sent me here to support you!"
The Crew lowered their guns and I continued my approach with them. Once I was standing in front of them, A soldier walked towards me, removed his helmet which revealed that he's a Nuptian Soldier, and introduced himself, "My name is Elyot, Second Lieutenant of the 22nd Company,"
"Do you have any injured men with you?" I asked,
"Not much, but most of my men are still able to fight," Elyot said,
"Good," I said, then I pressed a transmission feature on my helmet and sent a message to Aphorin, "Aphorin, I found a squad at the crash site. I'm sending them to you now,"
"Copy that! I'm almost finished with escorting my injured men to a safe location, Sending Coordinates," Aphorin said, through a transmitter while she sends in the coordinates of her location
"Here's what I want you to do. I want you to take your men and regroup with Aphorin's squad located on these coordinates," I instructed while giving the coordinates of Aphorin's location, "Once your there, Aphorin will handle the rest of your troops,"
"Alright," Elyot said, putting his helmet back and ordered his men, "Listen up! Grab what you can carry and let's move out,"
"Yes sir!" Elyot's men shouted in unison, grabbing what they can carry.
"Are there any more Crash Sites in the area?" I asked Elyot, and he replied, "Yeah, There are at least Four Shuttle Crafts in the area. Including mine and Aphorin's ship, There are about two more ships you need to save. The First one is just 500 meters East of here, and The Second is 700 meters Northwest from here. Both are under heavy fire, and in need of Support."
"What do those ships contain?" I asked,
"The First Ship is carrying a platoon of soldiers while The Second Ship is filled Relief Goods for the Ikkirians," Elyot explained,
"Then I'll focus on the first ship before I proceed to the next," I said, as I turned away from him and started walking towards East,
"If you like, I could have some of my men to escort you there," Elyot offered, but I simply waved him off and said, "No need, I can handle it myself. Just get your men to Aphorin's location,"
"But how are you going to go there by yourself?" Elyot asked, and I glanced at him one last time.
"I have my ways..." I said, before activating my cloaking feature and disappeared as I departed to the next crash site.
Elyot watched as he saw a trail of footprints on the ground, moments later, he snaps out from this and focuses on the task at hand.
"Gather what you can carry! Once you're done, We move out!" Elyot yelled out,
With Marcus
While I headed towards the next crash site. My helmet picks up a transmission from Ragnar and patched it through.
"Marcus, Can you hear me?" Ragnar asked through a transmitter,
"Out and Clear, Ragnar," I replied,
"Listen, My Men and I have arrived at the Capital and the Ikkirian Rebels are launching a full-scale assault on the capital in the next hour. I need you to pick up the pace and find the cause of the Rebellion,"
"Alright, Ragnar. Also, I rescued some of the survivors that crashed just near my location. Right now, I might need your permission to have them under my command in case I ran into a Rebel army or something," I said,
"I should thank you for saving them, Marcus. In return, you have my permission to take command should you need their assistance," Ragnar said, and I smiled with content at his permission.
"No problem," I said before Ragnar hangs up from his transmitter while I continued making my way towards the next crash site.
Later...
I arrived at the crash site... and no one was there.
I pulled out my scanner and checked the surrounding area...
...
...
...
Nothing...
There wasn't a single soul in sight on the crash site.
I went towards the remains of the shuttlecraft and checked inside if anyone was trapped there.
...
...
...
But no one was inside the ship.
I went outside the shuttlecraft and searched the surrounding area.
There were multiple signs of a gunfight between the crew and the Rebels. But Strangely enough, there wasn't a single body or gun on the ground.
I felt cautious about my surroundings and pulled out my rifle should anything pop out of nowhere. Soon enough, I hear an incoming transmission from my transmitter. Once I patched it through, I get the following message.
"This is *bzzt* *bzzt* and I need *bzzt* support *bzzt* *bzzt* My men are *bzzt* *bzzt* suffering heavy casualties *bzzt* *bzzt* I repeat requesting *static...*"
I tried boosting the frequency of my transmitter, But the signal was too weak due to the distance of the message. I checked the clock from the hub of my helmet and saw that 30 minutes have passed.
And have an hour later, The Rebels will begin their assault on the capital and it'll be a massacre between Ikkirian Soldiers and the Ikkirian Rebels. I soon used a transmitter to contacted Captain Aphorin and waited for her response. A few seconds later, the connections between us have been established.
"Captain Aphorin. Do you hear me?" I asked,
"Loud and Clear, Marcus! Also, I received a message from his Imperial Highness. We are now under your command, sir" Aphorin responded,
"Has the Lieutenant reached you?" I asked,
"Affirmative, Marcus, Second Lieutenant Elyot has arrived at my position and he's currently waiting for your orders," Aphorin replied,
"Good, I heading back to your location, Stay put until I get to you. Once I'm there, Our First Priority is to find the Rebel Leader and stop the Rebellion," I instructed,
"Roger that! We will stand by and wait for your arrival, Stay safe," Aphorin said, before hanging up from the transmission.
Then I sent a message from the transmission I received earlier and said,
"To anyone who's hearing this message, Proceed to these coordinates and we will regroup with you as soon as you arrive at the designated area. Stay Strong and We will back you up," I said, before turning off my transmitter, activating my cloak again, and went back to regroup with Aphorin and Elyot.
But unbeknownst to me... Someone watches me... In dark corners of the crash site...
Bonus Scene!
Earlier, Before Dezar and I went to Zigerion Ship to pick up the cargo.
"Hey, Marcus. I have a question to ask you," Dezar said,
"What's on your mind?" I asked,
"I couldn't help but overheard your family saying that my disguise looked like a guy from some movie called 'Die Hard'," Dezar said, "And... I just wanna know... What's 'Die Hard'?"
"It's actually an action movie, Dez. In fact, your disguise almost looked just like the main character of the movie," I said,
"Is it good?" Dezar questioned,
"Hell ya it's good," I said,
"I better find that movie," Dezar said, while I snorted a chuckle under my breath. But I have to admit, It really was a good movie.
Hey guys, Crescent Rider here, and before you wrap this up. I'm just going to say I'm not going to write Episode 5 yet. Because...
Marcus: Episode 4 has Two Parts of the story!
Marcus is correct. At first, I wanted this episode in one go and move on to the next. But due to this idea being a long one, I've decided that this episode will have two parts instead of one.
Marcus: And Crest told me that Rick and Jerry get abducted much later than before.
Right again, Marcus. And once again, If you guys have any OC Requests you want to add to the story. Whether that person is human or alien, Send me your Request through my Private Messaging and we will discuss it once I receive your request.
Marcus: And again! Crest hates seeing OC Requests in the Review Sections! If he sees one, It's going to the trash immediately!
And one last thing, I won't be updating this story in a while since I'll be working on my other stories or focusing on my life here in my own home.
Marcus: I'm gonna miss you guys for a while. But I promise that I will return in the future!
Alright, That's it for now and I'll see you guys in the next part of the Episode
Marcus: Stay Safe from the Corona Virus! *leaves*
Crescent Rider has signed out...
