The Dragon King desires to marry Ye Xian, but she manages to escape and uses a magic stone to take a human appearance, and, in the surface, she falls in love, but the Dragon King refuses to give up and is hunting her down. It's a mixture of Ye Xian, Kongjwi and Patjwi, and Chunhyangjeon. With some references to Journey to the West.

6. Chapter 6 - Sparrow

Chapter 6: Sparrow:

Ye Xian's POV:

Seo-Hee had another job for me. I was to fill a huge sack with rice. "Yeah, you got this," says Hyun-Ah.

"Why are you stalking me," I asked.

. . .

I was then trying to fill the sack, but it would be a lot easier with some help. "Allow me to help you." It was a sparrow. "I am Lim!" Lim then helps me fill the sack.

"How did you accomplish this," asks Seo-Hee.

"A sparrow helped me," I said.

"What madness are you speaking of," asks Seo-Hee, "never mind! Just get back to work!"

. . .

I then got back to work. "I hear the Magistrate's son will be coming," says Patjwi, "I just know he's going to be dazzled by my beauty!"

Someone's in denial. I then turned and saw Hyun-Ah and I screamed. "He's okay and all," says Hyun-Ah, "but maybe there's someone else for you?"

"Oh... I am sorry," I said, "but you... are not really my type."

Hyun-Ah then gets wide-eyes. "That's not what I meant... never mind!" She then leaves. She is so odd.
