Chapter 2: The Strongest Huntsmen and The Silver Eyed Huntress
"I don't get paid enough for this" Glynda said she exited the coffee shop that Gojo's like to go to and carrying two cups of coffee and a bag that carried some cakes inside of them. Gojo had sent her out of town much to her annoyance to grab some more coffee and cakes but in reality that wasn't really the only reason why Gojo had sent Glynda out into the city at night. There had been a bunch of dust robberies here in Vale and Gojo had wanted Glynda to investigate what was going on and also if she encountered Roman Torchwick, try to capture him.
"Alright I should probably go to some dust stores that's probably where Torchwick is going to be at right now" Glynda said/
As she said that he heard of the sounds of police sirens and she narrowed her eyes and ran heading straight towards the shopping area where the dust stores about a couple of minutes Glynda had gotten to the dust store and she looked and saw that the owner of the store was outside and Glynda then went ahead and talked to the old man.
"Excuse me can you tell me what happened here, I'm a huntress" Glynda said to the old man.
The men explained how Torchwick and his men robbed the store and that a young girl managed to take the grunts and she went after Torchwick and that she headed straight towards the roof of that building. Glynda nodded in thanks and asked the man to hold her stuff while she went ahead to chase after Torchwick and the girl. It took about a minute or so but Glynda had managed to make it to the roof top and she saw that Roman Torchwick was already on the plane and he threw a fire dust crystal down towards a young girl who had red blackish hair and she was wielding a scythe.
Glynda knew immediately who this girl this was Ruby Rose she was Summer's and Tai's daughter, Glynda saw Roman firing a shot from his cane and he was aiming at the fire dust and Glynda knew what he was planning. If he hit that fire dust even with her aura Ruby was about to take a huge amount of damage so Glynda jump up in the air and landed in front of Ruby as the shot hit the dust causing an explosion.
Roman laughed as he thought he got rid of Ruby but Glynda created a glyph to protect herself and Ruby from the blast, she then fired some purple like blast from her crop hitting the plane and knocking it off course and Glynda saw Roman going inside of the plane.
"He heading inside of the plane, is getting the pilot to fend us off as he escape" Glynda thought.
But Glynda didn't ponder those thoughts as she created a glyph in the sky causing a storm and she waved her crop and ice rained down from the sky hitting the bullhead and Glynda narrowed her eyes and although she couldn't see her face Glynda saw a young woman in a red dress heading down to confront them. The woman then shot a fireball at Glynda who created a glyph to protect herself from the attack. The woman then heated up the ground and Glynda backflipped out of the way as the ground exploded. She then used her semblance to create a spear made from the cunks of the roof top floor and threw it at the plane but the woman shot more fire blast to destroy the spear. But Glynda recreated the spear with her semblance and used it to attack the plane but Torchwick moved the plane downward so the plane wouldn't take massive damage.
Glynda then used her semblance to separate the rocks into three separate attacks but the woman made a gesture with her hands and in a moment she destroyed Glynda attack in a instant. Ruby then turned her scythe into a gun and fired a woman who easily blocked her shots and she then created a motion and heated the ground Ruby and Glynda was standing on and Glynda used her semblance to push Ruby out of the way while she backflipped out of the way. Glynda looked as she saw the door to the plane closed as Torchwick and the woman got away.
"You're a huntress" Ruby said as Glynda looked at her.
"Can I have your autograph" Ruby said.
Ruby really didn't expect her night to go like this one minute she was in the store listening to music and the next thing she knew she was fighting and chasing down Roman Torchwick and ended up being saved by a actual huntress and now she ended up being in a interrogation room being scolded by the huntress who saved her. It's safe to say that Ruby had an eventful night to say the least.
"I hope you realize that your actions will not be taken lightly young lady you put yourself and others in great danger" Glynda said as she walked back and forth.
"They started it" Ruby said.
"If it were up to me you be sent home with a pat on the back...and a slap on the wrist" Glynda said slapping her crop on the table scaring Ruby.
Glynda sighed "but there is someone here who would like to meet you" Glynda said.
"I'm here Glynda did you manage to bring my coffee and cake?" Gojo said as he walked into the room carrying a tray of cookies.
Glynda sigh "there on the table sir" Glynda said as she pointed at the coffee and cake on the table.
"Awesome, you really are the best Glynda" Gojo said as he grabbed his coffee and drunk from it and he widen his eyes.
"Glynda this coffee is so cold! why is it cold!" Gojo asked as he looked at Glynda.
"Because I was currently busy saving this young girl life and fending off Torchwick so I'm sorry that your coffee gotten cold while I was risking my life out there" Glynda said as she gave Gojo a deadpan stare.
"Oh...right my mistake hehehe" Gojo said as he turned to look at Ruby Rose.
"So you must be our little troublemaker Ruby Rose got to say kid I do love your silver eyes of yours" Gojo said as he set the trey of cookies down and went and grabbed the cake and fork from the bag and started to eat it.
"Uh...thanks" Ruby said a bit confused by Gojo behavior.
"I got to say your pretty good for a kid your age I wonder where did you develop your skills from?" Gojo said as he took a bite from his cake.
"Umm Signal Academy" Ruby said.
"Really they taught you how to use one of the most dangerous weapons a huntsman to use, man that's pretty awesome" Gojo said as Glynda glared at him.
"And irresponsible a little bit" Gojo said.
Ruby then wasted little time and began eating the cookies while Gojo kept speaking "you know I know one other scythe wielder, he used to go to Beacon once upon a time and was quite a troublemaker back in the day, a dusty, old Qrow who probably passed out at a bar right now" Gojo said.
"Oh that's my uncle" Ruby said while eating her cookies and Gojo looked like he was about to burst out laughing much to Ruby embarrassment she then gulped down the cookies.
"Sorry, that's my uncle Qrow he a teacher at Signal, I was complete garbage until he took me under his wing and now I'm like wooh ahh" Ruby said as she made karate motions.
Gojo chuckled "yeah I can see that clearly, but I do wonder Ruby why is a cute girl yourself be at a school design to train warriors?" Gojo asked.
"Well, I want to be a huntress" Ruby said.
"Really so you want to be a awesome badass and slay monsters aren't you scared at all?" Gojo asked Ruby as he sat down from across from here.
"Well yeah, I only have two more years of training at Signal and then I'm going to apply at Beacon you see my sister and my friend Yuji are starting this year and they are trying to become a huntsmen and huntress and I'm trying to become a huntress because I want to help people, my parents always taught us to help others and I might as well make a career out of it, I mean the pay is alright but Huntsmen and Huntresses are so much more romantic and excting and cool and just ugh! ya know" Ruby said.
Glynda just looked at her and Gojo just smiled "oh believe me Ruby being a huntsmen is pretty cool especially when you know that your the strongsest one among them I can assume you know who I am" Gojo said as he lifted his blindfold to look at Ruby.
"Of course I know your professor Gojo, your the strongest huntsman on Remnant and the headmaster at Beacon Academy" Ruby said.
"Wow did you hear that Glynda, Ruby here knows who I am I'm even famous among the young people!" Gojo said as he gave Glynda a thumbs up.
"Sir there no need to be excited since mostly everyone on Remnant knows who you are" Glynda said as she rolled her eyes.
"That's true, I am pretty awesome aren't I" Gojo said causing Glynda to rub her forehead and sighed at the headmaster arrogant and childish nature.
"Anyway it's nice to meet you Ruby" Gojo said.
"It's nice to meet you too, sir" Ruby said.
"So you want to come to my school, right?" Gojo asked.
"More then anything" Ruby said.
"Really now well then your in luck, Ruby because right now we have an opening Glynda here will give you the papers to the entrance exam to apply for" Gojo said as he smiled at Ruby.
Ruby smiled "really awesome!" Ruby then squealed in excitement.
"We're going to let you go now Ruby, like I said on your way out Glynda will provide you the papers necessary for to take the entrance exam I believe you should tell your family about this as well" Gojo said.
"Oh alright I can't believe it I'm actually going to attend, Beacon this might be the greatest day in my life" Ruby said.
After that Glynda had given Ruby the papers and Gojo had left Ruby leaving Glynda and Gojo alone in the interrogation room and Glynda glared at the headmaster at Beacon academy.
"Now Glynda I can tell you have something to say so come go ahead and say it" Gojo said to the deputy headmistress of Beacon.
"You planned this you wanted to get Ruby into Beacon from the start" Glynda said.
"Well my plan was to ask Tai for his approval, I didn't expect that she would go in and try to stop Torchwick herself seems like, she more like Summer then I realized" Gojo said as he rubbed his head.
"But Ruby is fifteen sir she still just a child I get allowing Megumi and Maki a year early but Ruby?" Glynda said as Gojo sighed.
"Believe me Glynda the last thing I want to to is drag more people especially any more children into my battle, but Ruby even though she young has potential to not only be a great huntress but a great leader as soon as she gets out of that awkward faze of hers" Gojo said as he chuckled a bit.
"Besides Ruby is a silver eyed warrior its only a matter of time that Salem will go after her once she learn of her existence, we need to guide her and prepare her for the battles ahead she also one of the students I'm going to let in to inner circle" Gojo said in a serious like tone.
"You do bring up a fair point sir, we know Tai and Qrow are strong but with us she will have the best training and learning experience she could ever dream of and we can protect her as best as we can" Glynda said.
"Well she seems like she can take care of herself just fine hahaha, but there is always room for improvement nobody is invincible" Gojo said.
"Expect for you sir" Glynda said jokingly.
"Did you just make a joke, Glynda am I actually rubbing off on you after over two decades?" Gojo asked.
"I guess your craziness is effecting me somewhat" Glynda said as she pushed up her glasses and looked down not allowing for Gojo to see her smile.
"But don't get use to that" Glynda said.
"Of course, but your joke is in poor taste Glynda since I'm pretty much invincible after all" Gojo said causing Glynda to roll her eyes.
"In any case sir, we need to put the finishing touches with the exam and not to mention we also need to prepare the students for the vytal festival after that" Glynda said.
"Yeah seems like its going to be a interesting year, Glynda I say we might have some students that might have more potential then your generation" Gojo said.
"I actually agree with that" Glynda said as she and Ozpin left the room and were about to make their way back to Beacon.
"Now then before we go back to Beacon, lets go..." Gojo started to say but Glynda interrupted him.
"No" Glynda
"But Glyndaaaaaaa!" Gojo whined.
"If you want more coffee then your going to have make it yourself in the teacher lounge, we're not going back into town again we still have a lot of work to do" Glynda said.
"Your so mean" Gojo said but at the same time he was thinking that it really was going to be a bit of a interesting year.
A/N: Well I'm back with this I honestly didn't expect that people wanted more from this, this was actually going to be a one shot but since people like it, it's going to be a full story haha, sorry that its another slow burn but hey we need to build up before we get to the action. Also don't expect this story to update frequently its going to be a slow process because of the other stories I need to write and update.
