At the assembly hall at Beacon it was night time and Megumi and Maki were laying down in their spots.
"So Megumi we're are your thoughts so far?" Maki asked her younger twin brother.
"About what, sis?" Megumi replied as he looked at his older twin sister.
"Your thoughts so far about the people here keep in mind one of these guys could be our partners and teammates for the next four years" Maki reminded her brother.
"Hmm that's true well their is Pyhrra Nikos we know that she pretty strong if we are in a team with her we could be a pretty deadly team" Megumi said.
"That's true Nikos wouldn't be bad at all to have as a teammate I actually want to fight her to see if she as strong as she appears" Maki said.
Megumi smirk it was so like his sister to go and challenge the strongest person around in order to prove herself especially since she doesn't have a semblance like their father.
"Their is also the Schnee" Megumi said.
"The princess, hmm I can tell she strong but I can tell she has that bitchy attitude like most people in Atlas" Maki said.
"C'mom Maki not all people from Atlas are that bad" Megumi said.
"Maybe but our old man didn't paint them in a good light" Maki said.
"The blacked hair guy with the pink streak he looks like a skill fighter along with the orange hair girl" Megumi said.
"That's true but man she seems like the energetic one let's hope you don't be her partner bro she might wear you out" Maki teased her younger brother.
"Oh shut up" Megumi said.
"Hey Megumi blondie looks pretty strong" Maki said as she looked at Yang.
"Yeah she does, hey sis doesn't she look a bit familiar" Megumi said as he unknowingly was looking at his older half sister.
"Hmm now that you mention it she does...in any case she looks like someone I wouldn't mind fighting too" Maki said.
Megumi nodded he knew Maki was thinking the same thing that this girl looks like their mother.
Maki and Megumi never knew or met their mother and their father rarely talks about her but he and their uncle Qrow had shown them pictures.
Megumi was a bit curious about their mother and was a bit interested in meeting her to at least see what kind of woman she was.
Maki however doesn't share Megumi curiosity she couldn't care less about a woman that they never saw before and didn't raise them. As far she is concerned her brother, father and her uncle even though he is a drunk we're the family she needed.
"Their also that kid with the brownish hair sitting next to the pipsqueak he seems strong too" Maki said getting away from talking more about their mother.
"Yeah he also seems pretty strong either way Maki most likely we are going to have some teammates overall" Megumi said.
"Seems so c'mom let's try to get some sleep" Maki said as she took off her glasses and set them down and she turn to the side and closed her eyes.
Meanwhile with Yuji and Ruby the duo was currently laying down in their spots and Ruby was writing on a piece paper.
"It's like a big slumber party" Yang said as she laid down in her bed.
"I don't think dad would improve of all the boys though" Ruby said.
"I know I would" Yang said as she started at all the boys here and she saw Jaune walking in pajamas she had a disgusted look on her face.
"So what have you have and Yuji been up too?" Yang asked.
"Ah nothing much I guess I'm just a bit nervous about tomorrow that's all" Yuji said as he looked at his friend.
"I'm just writing to the gang back in signal, I promised to tell them all about beacon and how things are going" Ruby said.
"Aww that's so cute" Yang said but Ruby threw a pillow at her causing Yuji to laugh a bit.
"Shut up I didn't take my friends with me to school and besides Yuji I don't know anybody here" Ruby said.
"What about Jaune he seems...nice so plus one friend is a one hundred percent increase" Yang said.
"Well their was Weiss, but I don't think she exactly counts at least not yet" Yuji said.
"But I think she would likely be your friend then mine, Yuji" Ruby said.
"Of course not Ruby you just need to be confident and be yourself and talking to people will come naturally" Yuji said to his friend.
"Yuji has a point sis besides it's only been one day, you have friends all of you, you've just haven't met them yet" Yang said.
Ruby, Yang and Yuji looked and they saw a girl lit up some candles by the wall and she began reading the book she has in her possession.
"Hey that girl seems interesting maybe she can be another possible friend that Ruby can make" Yang said.
"Are you sure she is reading after all maybe we shouldn't disturb her" Yuji said as he rubbed the back of his head a bit.
"Don't worry Yuji, it's only going to be for a few minutes" Yang said as she dragged Ruby over to the girl.
"Huh hey wait what are you doing!" Ruby said as she was being dragged away.
The girl looked up and saw Ruby, Yang and Yuji coming up to her.
"Hellooo" Yang called up to the girl.
"Uh hi" the girl said as she looked at them.
"Sorry to bother you but we just wanted to introduce ourselves since it's you know it's possible we all could be a team tomorrow" Yuji said.
The girl thought Yuji made a great point she didn't really consider that much about who was going to be her team. It's possible these people could be on the same team as her so she might as humor them while also reading her book.
"You make a good point go ahead" the girl said.
"I'm Yang I do like your nightgown by the way" Yang said.
"I'm...Ruby it's nice to meet you" Ruby nervously said.
"I'm Yuji so what's your name" Yuji said.
"It's Blake" the girl now known as Blake said.
"Blake, you know you have a pretty cool name so Blake you mind telling me what book your reading?" Yuji said.
"Huh" Blake said as she looked up as she didn't expect Yuji to ask her that question.
"The book your reading I want to know what's it about" Yuji said as he smiled at Blake.
"I'm curious too actually, does the book have a name?" Ruby asked Blake.
"Well it's about a man with two souls each of them fighting for control of the body" Blake said.
"Oh that's real lovely" Yang said.
"I love books Yang use to read them to me every night before bed, stories about hero's and monsters their one of the reasons why I wanted to be a huntress" Ruby said.
"Why is that,hoping you'll live happily ever after" Blake asked.
"Hoping we all will, as a girl I wanted to be just like those hero's in the books, someone who fought what was right and someone who protected people who couldn't protect themselves" Ruby said.
"That's very ambitious for a child unfortunately the real world isn't like a fairy tale" Blake said.
"Well that's why we're here to make it better" Ruby said.
"Ruby right besides isn't it better for people to live happily without any regrets then to die horribly and have a lot of regrets" Yuji said.
"Live without regrets huh" Blake said.
"This was a interesting conversation Ruby Yang and Yuji it was nice to meet all three of you but I'm about to get some sleep" Blake said.
"Ok it was nice meeting you, Blake I guess we'll see you around" Ruby said.
"Same here and who knows we might be on the same team tomorrow" Yuji said.
"See ya Blake" Yang said as the group walked away as they did Blake set her book to the side and blew out the candles as she went ahead and tried to get some sleep.
"I'm so proud of you Ruby" Yang said.
"Yeah that wasn't so bad you managed to open up and talk with someone" Yuji said.
"Yeah I guess you two are right and Blake wasn't so bad quiet and mysterious sure but I can tell she a good person" Ruby said.
"That's true" Yuji yawned.
"Well we better go ahead and get some sleep" Yang said.
"Goodnight sis, Yuji" Yang said as she started to put the covers over herself and turned to her right side and began to sleep.
"Goodnight Yang" Ruby said
"Night, Yang" Yuji said
"Goodnight Yuji" Ruby said
"Goodnight Ruby" Yuji said.
After that it wasn't long until Yuji and Ruby drifted off to sleep as they awaiting for their entrance exam that's going to start tomorrow.
We go to the next day it was morning and Yuji, Ruby and Yang and the rest of the students got up and they headed to the changing rooms to put on their regular clothes and once they did the students were heading straight to the mess hall.
As they were walking Yuji Ruby and Yang saw Weiss who was walking in front of them.
"Oh hey their, Weiss" Yuji said.
"Wait you know her, Yuji?" Yang asked.
"Well I almost kind of fell into her luggage yesterday until Yuji save me from that disaster" Ruby said.
"Well let's go say hi to her besides we didn't really tell her our names, Ruby" Yuji said.
"You do have a point" Ruby said as she rubbed her head in a nervous manner.
"Sure I don't mind but let's make it quick though I want to see what kind of food they have" Yang said.
"Ok hey Weiss!!" Yuji yelled out to her causing the Schnee heiress to turn around and look and saw that Yuji Yang and Ruby were walking up to her.
"Oh it's you two again, is their something you want from me?" Weiss asked bring cordial and polite with them.
"No not really we just wanted to say hello that's all and we haven't given you our names I'm Yuji by the way" Yuji said.
"I'm Ruby it's nice to meet you Weiss hopefully we can...get along with each other" Ruby said.
"What's up I'm Yang and a possible friend of my sister and Yuji is a possible friend of mine" Yang said.
Weiss raised her eyebrow they really came over here just to say hi to her and introduce themselves. A part of her wanted to say why are they wasting her time by doing that but she also thought it was nice of them to introduce themselves without any bad intentions.
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you truly, now then would that be all?" Weiss said.
"Well since we're all heading to the mess hall anyway, why don't you walk with us that way we can all get to know each other and just in case all four of us can somehow be on the same team" Yuji said.
That's actually the last thing Weiss wanted to do her grand plan was to partner with Pyhrra and gather the strongest students here to create the perfect team.
"However even if Phyrra and I are on the same team, we would have to be teammates with two other people maybe I can use this opportunity to get to know them and gain some information" Weiss said.
"You raise a good point Yuji, very well I shall accompany you to the mess hall" Weiss said.
"Awesome thanks Weiss you won't regret it!" Yuji said.
Weiss had to keep herself some smiling at Yuji but she simply nodded and after that the four of them began walking to the mess hall together.
"So Weiss, I was wondering what kind of weapon do you use?" Ruby asked.
"I carry a rapier called Myrtneaster" Weiss said.
"Wow really that's actually pretty cool do you infuse your rapier with dust what else it can do?" Ruby said.
"Well I do rely on dust heavily in combat especially when I use my semblance" Weiss said.
"Wow you must be a really versatile fighter then that's awesome" Yuji said.
"I'll say maybe one day we could have a spar with one another" Yang said.
"Well I actually have a sniper like scythe in crescent rose I can show it to you tomorrow if you like" Ruby said.
Weiss raised her eyebrow a bit she wonders why Ruby would choose a scythe as a weapon. Now that she mentioned it Ruby looked a little bit younger then the rest of them could she really be trying to get in to beacon like the rest of them. But then again she might just have a youthful face.
"What about you Yuji,Yang what do you two use?" Weiss asked.
"Well Yang and I use shot gauntlets since we are hand to hand fighters" Yuji said.
"Yeah but Yuji you are a natural you can almost use any weapon while in battle" Yang said.
"Wait really?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah when it comes to using weapons Yuji is almost a natural he was one of the best fighters in our class for a reason despite him not having a semblance" Yang said.
"I see you must be a skilled fighter then Yuji if you are able to adapt and use any weapon" Weiss said sounding impressed with Yuji skills as a fighter.
"Nah I don't think it's a big deal at all" Yuji said as he rubbed his head.
"No need to be modest Yuji I just know your going to kill it when we take our test today@ Yang said as she put her arm around Yuji.
"Thanks Yang I think your going to kill it out their too" Yuji said as he and Yang bump fist.
After that the group also talked more about themselves and what they liked to do and actually for Weiss she actually enjoyed their company a bit. Yuji and Yang might be on the joking and energetic side and Ruby a little naive and childish but they weren't terrible people.She could see herself on a team with either of those three.
It wasn't long until they gotten to the mess hall which was huge and after that Yuji Ruby and Yang had said their goodbyes to Weiss for the moment as they went and gotten breakfast.
Beacon had everything when it came to food so much that Yuji and the others didn't know what to pick in the end they just settle for the traditional eggs bacon and sausage.
After they finished eating their food it wasn't long until everyone was in the locker room area.
Megumi and Maki currently gotten their weapons out for Megumi he gotten out his black blade called shadow garden and strapped it to the side and Maki gotten out her polearm and she went ahead and strapped it behind her back.
"Well Megumi looks like it's time let's hope that blindfolded moron can make this test interesting at least" Maki said.
"You seemed pretty confident Maki" Megumi said.
"Of course with how hard we trained passing initiation should be easy enough but don't worry I'm going to have my guard up at all times" Maki said.
Megumi nodded "so if their a chance we are separated then do you want me to try to find you?" Megumi asked,
"Nah just focus on the test, I don't to distract you from passing and besides even if we are on different teams we are still going to see each other during and after school hours" Maki said as he rubbed Megumi head much to his annoyance.
Maki and Megumi then heard the announcement from Glynda on how they needed to report to Beacon hill in order to take their initiation.
"Well looks like it's time you ready Megumi?" Maki asked her younger twin brother.
Megumi nodded at his older twin sister.
"Then let's get going" Maki said as she and Megumi left the locker room area and they began making their way into Beacon Hill.
A of minutes later it wasn't long until all of the students were at Beacon Hill and they were all facing Gojo and Glynda and Gojo had a cup of coffee in his hand.
"Alright did everybody have a good night sleep and a good breakfast good because your going to need it once your skills are put to the test in the emerald forest" Gojo said as he took a sip from his coffee.
"Now I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams, well allow us to put an end to your confusion each of you will be given teammates today" Glynda said.
Making Ruby and a blue haired girl that was next to her wearing a suit nervous as Glynda said that.
"Keep in mind folks these teammates will be here with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So I would try to pair with someone you can work well with and get along with like Glynda and I!" Gojo cheerfully said. Making Ruby and the blue haired girl more nervous.
While Glynda had to keep a straight face at Gojo statement, Gojo continued his speech.
"Now with that being said the first person you make eye contact with after your landing will be your partner for the next four years hah bet you guys wish you had a cool blindfold like mine did ya" Gojo said as he laughed a bit.
"What!!" both Ruby and the blue haired girl said.
"After you partnered up head to the northern end of the forest, you guys will face all sorts of danger so do everything you can to take out anything that stands in your way if you don't well I'm sure none of you wants to die young" Gojo said cheerfully.
"Now you guys will be monitored and graded upon your initiation by mostly Glynda since that's what I pay her for" Gojo said.
"You don't pay me enough" Glynda said under her breath.
"But our instructors will not intervene, you will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff" Gojo said.
"We will regard that item, as well as your standing and grade you appropriately now then are their any questions" Gojo asked.
"Um yeah sir-" Jaune said.
"Good now hurry and take your positions let's go!!" Gojo cheerfully said.
The students gotten ready and Megumi and Maki both got into a bending position.
"Uh sir I got a question this landing strategy what it is your like dropping us off or something" Jaune asked as Weiss Megumi and Maki were catapulted into the air.
Gojo gave Jaune a devious smile "oh no you will be falling my blonde haired friend" Gojo replied.
"Oh I see so will you like hand out parachutes for us?" Jaune nervously asked as each student was catapulted into the air.
"Nah you will be using your own landing strategy so good luck!!" Gojo said as Yang put on some sunglasses and winked at Ruby and Ruby smiled as she Yuji and Yang were flung in the air.
"Ok so what exactly is a landing strategy-AHHHH!!!!!" Jaune yelled as he was flung into the air.
"Man we always have that one screamer every year" Gojo laughed a bit as he took a sip from his coffee and looked at Glynda.
"By the way Glynda this is some good coffee you know we should open up a coffee shop as a side business" Gojo said.
"Sir, as much of a grand idea that is we really need to focus on the students" Glynda said as she rubbed her head a bit.
"Relax Glynda I got my full attention on the students especially the few I'm keeping an eye on that could join us in the upcoming battles ahead" Gojo said as he shift into a serious tone.
"Now then let's see what these upcoming students can do" Gojo said as he was going to keep an eye on this exam very closely.
