Blu woke up from his nap in the morning to see that. He bathed in the pool of water Roberto had given them with the large hollow. Afterwards, Blu shook his feathers free of water and flew out and into the Amazon. Finding them eating Brazil Nuts for breakfast on a tree branch with the rest of the family and friends, he alighted down as well.
"Good morning, Blu.", Jewel said.
"Good morning, Jewel.", he replied. "I bathed.
"Oh. Blu... Come eat." Jewel said.
As they began to eat the nut, Blu is thinking about visiting Rio De Janeiro, see the Carnival parade and Linda. "Jewel, February 9th is Carnival in Rio De Janeiro. Me and my friends wants to go see it. Can you please let us go?" Blu asked his wife.
"Blu, I know you love Rio and Carnival, but what about the kids? The kids are growing up." Jewel said.
"Well, I mean your family and friends can come too. Roberto, your father, and Aunt Mimi can come too." Blu said.
"Okay, they can come as well." Jewel said.
"Yes, thank you so much honey." Blu said.
"You're welcome love-hawk." Jewel said.
"Eduardo compromised. "What you guys talking about?"
"Jewel and I were talking about about going to a Carnival parade in Rio De Janeiro. It's on starts on February 9th. Would you like to come with us?" Blu asked his father-in-law.
"Well Blu, you did show me not all humans are bad. If Rio De Janeiro is a good place. Of course, I wouldn't mind joining you guys. I enjoyed the city after New Year's Eve party. My son loves my daughter and Rio. I will join you. your family and friends." Eduardo said.
"Oh this is so great! I love you daddy! You won't regret the fun in store." Jewel said.
"Yeah, Wohoo, we are going to CARNIVAL!", Carla said in excitement.
"We'll be on our way in half an hour.", Blu suggested. There would not be anything to take with them. The chicks went off to enjoy the 'hot tub' before their long flight to Rio de Janeiro, while the others spread the news.
Blu announced wants to invite one more bird. "I know my way around, now." They flew off to the edges of their sides of the forest. He flew all the way to the scarlet macaws territory. He found a group colorful red birds chatting on a branch.
"Hello Blu, how are you doing?" Antonio asked him.
"I am doing good. I am looking for Felipe." Blu answered.
"Hello Blu, what's up?" Felipe asked him.
"Me and our group of friends and family are going to a bird festival in Rio De Janeiro called Carnival and all kinds are awesome. I want to asked you would you like to come with us?" Blu asked his friend.
"Who is going with you? Is Roberto going?" Felipe asked him.
"Yes Roberto is going. I decided to invite him, we are friends after all." Blu said.
"Okay, why you want me to join you, your family, and friends?" Felipe asked Blu.
"Felipe you are the bird. I think you deserve to go to this party after all. You become my friend after the battle with the loggers." Blu said to him.
"Alright I will go with you, your friends and family." Felipe said.
Felipe said goodbye to his friends. The scarlet macaws said goodbye to Felipe.
"Silence!", Blu yelled. The Blue Spix Macaw Tribe silenced as Blu spoke. "We are going to an all bird festival in Rio de Janeiro, which is pretty far from here. Felipe is going with us. In Rio De Janeiro, birds have no problem with differing species. This is something the humans do to celebrate us is called Carnival. We will return in a few days."
"Have a safe flight." The Blue Macaw Tribe said.
"We will, see you guys when we returned." Roberto said.
"Jewel, I suppose you can lead the way?", Eduardo figured.
"Yes, father.", she replied. And so they left the trees of the Amazon behind them heading off to Rio de Janeiro. Luiz was the most trouble of all the flight. Jewel and Blu were carrying him across the river with Blu at the front and Jewel in the back. "Man Luiz, it's too hard for us to carry you .", Jewel complained.
"Hey, I am a dog. What do you expect?", He defended.
"Maybe to lose a few pounds." Jewel said.
"Aww, come on." Luiz said.
"Jewel, this is what friends are for.", Blu said. "Besides, we will only be holding him for a couple more hours before we stop, switch, and have a snack." Jewel imagined the last hour had felt like four.
Through the next three hours the birds and contaminated dogs flew across the rivers and Amazon to Rio, but as the sun began to set, they still had a few hundred more kilometers to go until they arrived. Rafael, Eva, Nico, Pedro, and Felipe kindly took the place of Eduardo and Roberto to carry Luiz. Jewel carried Carla, Blu carried Tiago, and Jewel's Aunt Mimi carried Bia because their wings are tired. After another thirty minutes, they had all decided to sleep the night where the majority of them bathed on their way to the Amazon. There were several hollow-like holes in the small brick building.
"Okay guys, it's time for you to get some sleep.", Jewel told them.
"But mom, how will we know when to wake up?", Bia asked. "We have know alarm clock and our brains would function to make us get more sleep by sleeping into the noon."
"Blu will wake us all up." Jewel said.
"Wow. When did you become so smart, mother?" Bia asked her.
"I always have been smart sweetie. Now let's get some rest." Jewel said.
Everyone is sleeping, they need a lot of rest for tomorrow journey. Blu set his alarm until 5:30am. He will wake everybody up. Blu was up early at 5:15 am that Jewel predicted. At 5:30am Blu's phone alarm and Blu shut off his phone.
Blu said " Everyone get up, it's 5:30am. Everyone woke up and yawn. "Alright everyone, let's go, we have miles away to Rio De Janeiro, and we will do a lot of stops along the way."
"Yes Blu, I got a lot of sleep so I should be good." Jewel said happily.
"Wow, such a beautiful sunrise, is it not?" Bia said.
"Yeah, it sure is." Blu said.
"I love you, Blu." She said as she and him embraced with their wings but not for a kiss but just a hug.
"Love you too my love." The hug lasted until they released to get prepared to continue their flight to Rio De Janeiro. Jewel across the jungle and they watch the kids fly but the kids are still tired.
"I am hungry, mommy." Tiago whined.
"When we get to Rio, you will not be hungry anymore. Right Tiago." Jewel said with a giggle.
"Right mom, when we get to Rio. I won't be hungry." Tiago said.
Felipe and Mimi is holding Luiz. Eduardo, Roberto, and Mimi carried the little ones because the kids are sleeping. Eduardo carrying Tiago, Roberto carrying Carla, and Mimi is carrying Bia. The birds flew for forty-five minutes.
"Jewel, how much longer do we have to fly?" Aunt Mimi asked her.
"Yeah, my wings are getting tired." Roberto said.
"I will say about a minute." Jewel replied as they came out of the clouds and saw the city Rio De Janeiro.
"Rio De Janeiro is a beautiful city." Roberto said.
"So where are we heading Jewel?" Eduardo asked her.
"That is for Blu to decide." Jewel replied.
"Blu, what do you want to do since we are here?" Jewel asked him.
"Let's see my dear Linda." Blu informed everyone. Jewel smiled at Blu because she knows how he miss Linda. She knows that Linda is still her companion.
"Lead us to Linda, my love-hawk." Jewel said.
"We will go to Luiz's garage to get him settled." Rafael said to his friends.
"Okay no problem. We will see you guys later." Blu said.
"Alright, see you there." Nico said.
"I will help them as well. See you guys later." Felipe said.
Jewel, Bia, Carla, Tiago, Eduardo, Roberto, and Mimi followed Blu to Linda's house. It took them 20 minutes to get to Linda's house. Blu rings the doorbell. Linda answered it. Linda is shocked to see her companion Blu and his family.
"BLU!" Linda yelled excitedly. "You brought your family and some friends!" She hugged him with her arms holding his back and Blu hugged her back. All the others watched this moment. Jewel, who was smiling. "Oh, let them all come inside and rest. 2,000 miles to get to Rio De Janeiro. Kids, sleep now and party later. Eduardo wants to ask Jewel a question.
"Jewel, are you sure this human and whatever family can be trusted?" Eduardo asked her.
"Yes, I am sure that Linda is trusted. She is the one that raised Blu and he is a companion of her." Jewel told her father.
"Man, this house looks nice." Mimi said.
"Tell me about it. This is our first time being in a human house." Roberto said.
"I got my iPod to listen to music." Carla said and she got her earphones as she listen to Bruno Mars 24K Magic In The Air.
"I am listening to Bruno's Mars music." Carla said. Jewel was listening to the music and wants to give it a shot.
"Sweetie, can you share the earphones with me?" She asked her daughter.
"Sure mom, you can listen to music." Carla gave the earphone to her mother and Jewel listened to Bruno Mars music called Finesse. She begins to smile and dance to the song. Carla is happy that her mother love the song she uploaded from the IPOD.
"Wow Carla, you do know your music." Bia said proudly.
"Thank you. I am joining Nico and Pedro's club when I am older." Carla said.
"Carla, I listened to the music. I enjoyed it. You are a superstar." Jewel said.
"Thank you so much mom." Carla said.
"You're welcome." Jewel said.
"Linda, where is Túlio and Fernando?" Blu asked his companion.
"Tulio and Fernando are working at the aviary but they will be here for Carnival night." Linda answered back.
A few hours later everyone already rest up and ready for tonight. The birds woke up, stretch, and getting ready for their big night. The sun was on its way down and the party of birds had gathered around, getting ready to leave for Carnival. Nico, Pedro, Rafael, and Eva came over bringing Luiz. Felipe joined in and he brought his girlfriend Mia whom he met in Nico and Pedro's Samba Club.
"So who ready to party?" Jewel yelled. All the birds yelled chants of excitement and happiness. After all the napping, it was time for the big parade. Not anybody is not tired. Eduardo, Roberto, and Mimi are enjoying their stay in Rio.
The parade was beginning, Rio's entire bird population passed over the parade area. The crowd of people were cheering for all the birds, floats, and music. Carla was singing aloud with the music for all to hear, while it seemed Nico is backing them up. It was a great night and they were watching the performers. Pedro was rapping. All the couples were dancing, including Blu and Jewel.
Eduardo was paired with Mimi. Roberto was dancing and laughing with Bia and Carla. Felipe was with his new girlfriend Mia. Tiago is hanging out with some of their pals are Rafael and Eva's children.
The parade went on for another hour until it ended with the gorgeous float. The children took a nap after the parade ended. Blu and Jewel had set them down into their nests and they sleep. Everyone had a good time at the Carnival parade.
