Summary: Iruma confessed to Alice but was rejected. The other alphas, which incidentally all of their classmates, are secretly invested and proceed to knock some sense into their fellow alpha. Main: IruAzz side: EveryoneXIru
A/N: I know I have other unfinished fanfics. Let me reread them for a while before updating. Anyway, on with the one shot.
"Azz-kun…" Iruma's lips quivered, head slightly bent and two hands fisted behind him, as if they'd brace him for impact if something goes wrong.
His face was flushed as he faced Asmodeus on the rooftop. It had been Elizabetta's idea. And everyone else has urged him to go for it. But her voice soothed him the most. She always had this sisterly bond with him that never fails to calm him down. Even when he presented, she and Lied were the ones who helped understand the changes to his body.
Her words still rang in his ear when they talked to him this morning.
"Go for it, Iruma… Ohh… I know… why don't you go invite him to the rooftop come lunch time? It would be so romantic. Go on, we'll cheer you on, right guys? He has to be stupid to reject a proposition from a valuable omega like you." Iruma, too was spurred by the resounding cheer in Royal One.
Well, it's now or never. And it's not like he's getting out of this one. Everyone had such high hopes after all. And he trusts his classmates more than ever.
He closed his eyes and steeled himself.
"I love you." His voice quivered a little. Then… silence.
He opened one eye and he honestly wished he didn't. Asmodeus' face was unreadable. His body still and stiff, to the point that regret and fear was instantly in his chest, squeezing it tight in anticipation.
He could have sworn a conflict of emotions flashed through Azz's face. But he wasn't sure how to read it. He can usually read the pink-haired alpha. To him Alice is practically an open book. But not this time. Alice seems to be fighting with something, fists tightly balled, shoulders shaking.
"You mean… you mean friendship or romantically?" Asmodeus took a deep breath, as if steeling himself, his lips pursed thinly as if struggling with something within him.
"Romantically. I… I've loved you for a while now Azz-kun." And Iruma waited. He didn't have to wait long however. As Asmodeus' face hardened.
"Iruma-sama…" Iruma was hopeful. For a minute, he could have sworn happiness slipped into the alpha's voice. But then…
"I'm…" Asmodeus took a deep breath once more.
"I apologize if I have given you any hope or signal before… I mustn't—" Alice shook his hood. Vigorously as if shaking something from himself. "No… I don't feel for you in the same way. You are my master. What I feel for you is nothing but devotion and loyalty. But romantically… I don't see it that way at all."
The instant those words reached his ears, Iruma's heart was broken. It wouldn't have been so bad if his other classmates weren't hyping him up. They got his hopes up. He was expecting this would go well. Some part of him wanted things to go well, too. And now…
He would have been content to hide his feelings, admiring Asmodeus by his side. But hearing it straight like this is more than he could take.
Without saying a word, Iruma turned, not seeing the tears that fell from Alice's face as the omega ran downstairs.
—
Iruma felt his face met something soft and firm…
"Iruma… back so soon?"
It was the intoxicating smell of Elizabetta that greeted him. In fact everyone was here. It appears that everyone was waiting for the good news.
"Where's Azz-azz Irumacci?" Piped Clara from Sabnock's shoulders.
Even Agares was seen peaking from his sleeping mask.
"Well? How'd it go?" Jazz asked.
Iruma couldn't help it. The expectant looks from the other alpha, plus the rejection was more than he could take. Tears flowed like river from his eyes. He mumbled something in Elizabetta's breast.
"Thou shalt have to speak up my Rival. We can't hear you." Sabnock looked down.
"He said no…" Was Iruma's shaky reply. Instantly, the whole mood changed. Like a bee's nest that was disturbed, everyone was in a frenzy. A mixed of emotions and pheromones flew through the room.
While Elizabetta was consoling him, the result was instanenous. Icy breeze wafted through the room. A gust of wind from Gaap and even Caim was closed to bursting. Lied dropped his game and wrapped his tail protectively around Iruma.
"That idiot!" Sabnock said in frustration, biting his lower lip enough to draw blood.
"Take care of him, Elizabetta, Lied. We have an appointment with a wayward fool." Allocer said. Sabnock, Jazz, even Kerori were in agreement as they cracked their knuckles, beginning their march to the rooftop.
While the remaining alphas were cradling Iruma, hugging him and whispering sweet comforts in his ear, Allocer, Sabnock, Jazz and Kerori found Azz on the rooftop.
But what surprised them was Purson was already there, holding Asmodeus by his collar ready to punch the fire demon.
"I never took you for a coward, Asmodeus." Purson said in a rare display of opinion, fangs bared in full force. This is also one of those rare moment that they can fully see him in all his glory.
The other four alpha advances, their bloodline powers in full display. Kerori even had her familiars out. She doesn't say much but she's ready to deliver her icy frustration in full force. But once they saw Alice's face, they paused.
Alice was crying. The first time they saw their proud classmate cry genuine tears of anguish. Even Purson faltered at the sight, his wrist feeling the hot scalding tears.
Maybe because of unbridled frustration, but Kerori was finally ready to blow up.
"Why did you reject him? You knew how heads over heels in love he was for you. WE took a back seat Asmodeus. We planned for you to take him first because we respected the bond you shared. That's why we waited. And yet you— Arghh. Answer me, damn it! Why!" Kerori asked, the rooftop is now near freezing but only Alice was shaking. The other alpha were steely, anger clear in their eyes.
Alice looked away, maybe it's regret… maybe it's shame. They don't know. Emotions were running high and no one has time to properly assess how they're all feeling. Over their time together, the misfits have grown overprotective over their leader, the only omega in their class.
He led them through so much and the fact that he was their only omega… it's like an attack to them all when someone hurt him, even so much as a scratch is a cause for war.
Alice finally spoke.
"I am his servant. I cannot think of him that way. I mustn't. I can't defile Iruma-sama's purity like this."
A loud crash was heard. Sabnock punched the wall next to him. It appears he's finally snapped. His eyes has turned crimson. For a moment they thought he'd go into an evil cycle.
"I am so close to punch thou right now, you coward." Sabnock growled, pheromones in full display that all the other alpha felt it, including Asmodeus.
"An asinine reason to hurt our precious." Allocer said.
Alice looked at his fellow alpha.
"I know how he felt for me. I just couldn't think myself of a worthy mate for him. I—"
"Stop…" Kerori exhaled deeply. "All I hear is you thinking about yourself. If you feel you're not enough, we all feel the same Alice. We know his greed. We know how he deserves so much. That's why we back each other up. We're a team. We're supposed to help make up for each other's weakness. And here you are spouting your dumb excuses. Do you love him or not? Because if you say no right now, you'll lose your chance forever. WE will make him happy. And you can just watch in the side lines. Is that what you really want?"
"No… I… I love him too, alright… So much that it hurts."
"Then go." Purson finally released him. "Go down there and fix it." This is the first time he has ever been this assertive, his inner alpha almost ready to run wild, too. His eyes were turning red like Sabnock. "And for Devi's sake kiss him proper. Consider yourself lucky, that you get the honor of first kiss." And then Purson disappears.
At those words, Alice's entire face has changed. Resolve replace his despair. As he made his way for Royal One, the alpha left behind could only shake their head.
"What a dumb idiot." Someone whispered behind him. The four alpha took a moment to cool themselves. They don't want to go down there and agitate their omega any further. Especially with the bloodlust and pheromones they are emitting.
—
Asmodeus saw Iruma still cradled in Elizabetta's arms, Lied and Caim drawing circles on his back while Clara handed Iruma a tissue from her pockets. Chocolates, candies and sweets kept pouring from her pockets, a testament of her own sympathy and solidarity with her fellow alphas in comforting their omega.
Alice gulped as he met Agares' amber eyes, usually warm and uncaring, but now cautious and fierce. The sleepyhead has completely removed his eye mask in a rare show of solidarity to his fellow Alpha.
"Iruma… someone is here to see you." Lied said softly in the blue-haired omega's ears. Iruma hiccuped before turning and meeting Alice's eyes.
"Iruma-sama… I apologize for how I reacted. Can I still change my answer?" Alice's voice shook for a moment. Elizabetta placed Iruma down the couch. It was in this moment that the other alpha came down from the room, having the time to cool themselves down.
Iruma looked at him, still hopeful despite his initial hurt.
"I have loved you since the beginning too, Iruma-sama. How could I not? You were strong, smart and you shine brightly, sometimes too bright that you're blinding. You lead everyone here even though you're an omega. You earned the respect of everyone in Babyls as evidenced by how so many showed up when we were gathering those signatures. You have the qualities of a strong and undeniable partner. Please forgive me."
Iruma was close to him now. So close that he could smell the scent of sweet vanilla and rainforest. The unique delicate smell of an omega mixed with something wild… like that of an alpha. Which reflects Iruma's qualities not as a weak omega, but an omega worthy of dominance and respect, a true melding of a strong alpha and omega's scent worthy of a future demon king.
"Azz-kun…" Iruma whispered, body still shaking. Sabnock gave a reassuring push to Alice's back, it was much gentler this time. And that seemed to be his cue. Alice dried the fresh tears from Iruma's eyelids. "May I kiss you, Iruma-sama?"
Iruma nodded shyly. And that was all the encouragement Alice needed. He bent down and went in for a soft chaste kiss. And his world exploded, his vision filled with rainbows as Iruma's sweet and wild scent assaulted his every senses. As they kissed, the other alpha in the room applauded, relief flowed through all of them.
"See? Iruma, what did we tell you?"
The room was lighter after that. Sabnock and Jazz high fived and Kerori and Elizabetta hugged each other. Allocer and Jazz clenched fists met.
The room was night and day from mere minutes ago whebn pheromones from all of them wafted through the air. Now there is harmony in their pheromones transforming the mood inside Royal One into a more jovial one.
But they will have their moment soon. For now, they all sighed in relief. They knew Alice would be the most difficult part. And now they can relax.
"Attaboy…" Jazz patted Alice's back as the pink haired demon continue to kiss Iruma.
The rest of the class watched with smiles in their faces. For now, they will all take one day at a time.
And when Alice and Iruma did part for air, Lied finally broke the tension.
"Finally. Now let's go for a celebratory dinner!"
The alphas agreed where they each confessed their love for their leader. Twelve alphas, one omega. It might be a little unconventional but they would surely die for their omega, the Jewel of Royal One.
As they slowly marched out of Royal One, they took a protective stance around Iruma, the same formation they took when they marched to Kalego's office before. Because for them, they would go to the ends and back, all for their omega. All for Iruma.

Note: More one shots to follow to five the other characters to shine. Until next time.
A/N: And we're done. Writing so many characters all at once is so draining. I hope you like it. Feel free to point out any mistakes, comments or suggestions.
