Chapter 4: Time:
Alice's POV:
"So, he thinks his family's out there," asks Cyrus, "I would think that that would be impossible even for this place."
"It is," says the White Queen, "while our world is made entirely out of nonsense... there is still logic we must follow."
"I'll say there is," says Cookie, showing up.
"Cookie," I said.
"Alice! Cyrus! Boy, did I miss you two," says Cookie.
"I wish we could go back in time and save the Hatter's family," I said.
"There might be a way," says the White Queen, "but it could affect all of existence itself!"
"What is it," asks Cyrus.
"The Chronosphere," says the White Queen, "but you must get it from Time himself!"
"Wait," I said, "Time is a he?"
"I told Alice Time wasn't even alive," says Cyrus.
. . .
The White Queen then took us to this grandfather clock. "You can use this to get to Time's castle," says the White Queen, "but Time can be very difficult!"
"Alice, I don't think-" Cyrus begins.
"Again, you said you would do anything for me," I said.
"Alright then," says the White Queen, "good luck you two and maybe you should have a talk later. This would be dangerous for any of us because if you ever meet yourself in the past of future, it could destroy all of Underland, but you two aren't from here, so it might be fine."
We then entered the grandfather clock.
. . .
After going through this deadly obstacle course, we found Time's castle.
"Nice place," says Cyrus, "who's the decorator? The Hatter himself?"
"Come on," I said.
. . .
We entered the castle, but we didn't know where to go. Then we saw a door opens and a man falls. "Schtupid Me Schaped Korridor!" He then gets up.
"Time," I said.
Time enters a room. The sign says 'Underland's Living'. "Sorry, but your time iss u Seig Heil, Brilliam Hinkle!" He then takes that clock and leaves for a room with a sign that says 'Underland's Deceased'. He then places that clock in the H's. Strange, there's a space next to the Highbottoms.
"I wonder if the Jabberwock's clock is among these," says Cyrus.
"Vho iss zere?"
"Thanks a lot," I said. We then revealed ourselves.
"Oh, it iss chust a girl undt a boy?"
"Listen," I said, "we need the Chronosphere so we can go back in time and save the Hatter's family!"
"I see... zere iss chust ein awkwart problem... I kan't do za Seig Heil!"
"But-"
"Vhy do you haf zat fallen soldier in your pocket?"
"It's my Father's watch," I said, "and I will never part with it!"
"Mr... Time," says Cyrus, "what if we can make a deal-"
"Vhat kould I possibly vant, I'm infinite, immortal, undt ozzer vorts zat schtart mitt I! Besides, you kan't khange ze pas Seig Heil!"
"What if I took your clock from the living room," says Cyrus.
"It vouldn't matter. I kan't die. Besides, zose klocks kan only kome down if ze people do pass on."
"Sorry for wasting your you," I said. Time and Cyrus were both confused from that. "Time!" Time and Cyrus then got it. Cyrus and I then walked out.
. . .
"Maybe we can just tell the Hatter he's got a family with the rest of us," says Cyrus.
"As nice as that would be, the Hatter needs his real family," I said.
"I can't believe you're going to make me do this," asks Cyrus.
"What," I asked. I then had an idea. "We're going to steal the Chronosphere... oh, that's what you were talking about."
"You're predictable," says Cyrus.
