"This place is super creepy huh? To think something like this was beneath the city..." Seriously, this whole catacomb thing is full of scary corridors and symbols... And I'm pretty sure I saw a skeleton.

Rika nods. "Yeah, this place is definitely the spookiest part of Souya. I can't wait to leave it." It's certainly going to take sometime.

To be honest I don't even understand why we are here in the first place. Ciel said she wants to fight Vlov by herself, so all we can do is fight ghouls. Though I guess Vlov could have a weaker subservient dead apostle running around.

Noel, who's stealing glances at Rika, mutters. "I don't thinki the scary part of this is the catacombs." She's been shivering from fear ever since Rika came out.

It's strange to see, normally everyone I know is fine with Rika. Noel really is just a normal person, so she can't handle her like Shiki or the others do... Shiki has bigger balls than a church executor, how shameful.

Rika chuckles. "Scaredy cat~. People like you never get a boyfriend." Thankfully Rika is taking her fear in stride. She's also refusing to acknowledge the fact that I will be taking Noel on a date.

Does she seriously think Noel will mess up so badly that even I will refuse to tap that ass? Sorry Rika, but I like pathetic desperate woman a lot, so Noel's chances of seducing me are really high.

Noel looks down. "Just you wait..." She then looks at me and starts skipping around. "Just you wait~!" Please remember that I'm seventeen... Actually, please forget that and drag me towards a love hotel.

I smirk. "Man, it feels good to be popular... Anyways, do you think Ciel already reached Vlov?" She apparently needs to find his coffin or something.

Noel shakes her head. "I doubt it, the catacombs haven't started to shake yet." That sounds scary. This whole place could fall down on me, though I do have an idea on how to survive it.

Rika gives Noel a questioning look. "Is that Rabbit even strong enough to take on the vampire? He's seriously scary you know?"

Noel jumps a little, but then calms down and responds. "Yeah, she's strong enough. Didn't you just see her zoom past us at super sonic speeds?" It was pretty insane.

As soon as we stepped foot in the catacombs, Ciel assumed a running position and then she took off like a rocket. That's why I'm surprised she isn't fighting Vlov yet, she can probably scour this place in minutes.

To be honest now I feel sort of bad for my school's track team. Recently Ciel won a big race and showed off, even though she's not a part of them. Everyone at the school thought it was super impressive, but it turns out she just had superpowers.

Rika shrugs. "Eh, I can go faster! Like... At least twice as fast!" Both of you leave me and Noel in the dust, that's for sure. I won't forget how you traded blows with Arcueid and Vlov anytime soon.

Noel hesitantly nods. "That may be soon, but Ciel is immortal too.. And she also has tons of magical energy. It wouldn't be wrong to call her a monster."

She continues. "Yeah, that's what she is." She then looks at me. "A monster who hunts monster, she's not human like us Okkotsu." She then shifts her gaze back to Rika. "Though I guess you two are similar."

I sigh. "Please don't call Rika or Ciel monsters." I don't want my opinion of Noel to be even lower. "Also, I'm not exactly a normal human, I'm a super prodigy."

Noel shrugs. "You can be as prodigious as you want, you won't be able to match Ciel with only one lifetime. Make sure to be smart and hide behind her everytime shit hits the fan."

Don't talk like that about a teenager! Honestly her tone is weird, Noel sounds like she both admires and dislikes Ciel. Maybe it's jealousy? Noel has probably been on this hunting business for longer, and yet Ciel is clearly more skilled.

I smirk. "I don't know about that, I'm built differently you see." I then give Rika a smile. "Besides, I already have a woman I like to hide behind."

Rika nods. "Yep! Yuta and I have been a team for a long time, there's no need to put extra pressure in Rabbit's shoulders."

Noel frowns. "I for one thing she deserves it, you don't know Okkotsu, but Ciel she..." Noel sighs. "Nevermind, right now we should be watching out for ghouls."

She nods to herself. "We can't let them spread out too much after all. We're lucky this Vlov guy has been pretty reserved so far, but that won't last long, all vampires are scum in the end."

A sudden sounds is heard, it slowly approaches us. The smell of burning rotted flash hits us, it's one of Vlov's fire ghouls. No, not just one of them, there are multiple.

Though their little group also contains normal ghouls, more normal ghouls than special ones in fact. Currently there are two fire ones, and three normal ones.

The fire ones walk in front, making a deadly wall in these tight corridors, but it should be easy enough to break through. Specially with Rika here.

Noel takes a black key out of her pockets, it grows into a full one. "Okay Okkotsu, let's take advantage of the fact that they're slow." Right, we can kill them with projectiles.

Noel throws her black key at the head of a fire ghoul, someone like Ciel could actually fire three at the same time. Noel however, lacks the dexterity to pull of such a feat.

Nonetheless, the key strikes it mark, it's blade penetrates the eye of one of the fire zombies. I can tell what Noel is planning really easily, she wants to take them all out in one attack.

According to Ciel, those fire zombies explode after they have been killed. When Sensei killed one back then it didn't explode of course, but that was probably due to her magecraft doing something.

Noel sighs. "N-no way..." The reason for her disbelief is that the gould didn't even flinch in pain, she didn't penetrate deep enough to kill him.

As expected of Noel, she's useless. Though apparently close quarters combat is her specialty anyways, and she could probably kill them easily with that massive weapon she carries around.

Rika snorts. "Weak~! You're so weak Noel~! Do you want my help~?"" Stop being mean to her, anyone is weak when compared to you.

Noel nods. "Yes please! I mean, you were watching my classes through Okkotsu right? That means you own me!" Please don't beg like that...

Rika giggles. "I hate your classes though, the only reason I pay attention is because Yuta asked me to." I want you to have an education after all. That's why I also make Rika take tests sometime, tests I stole online of course.

I chuckle. "Stop bullying Noel... Even if it's funny." I give my teacher a wink. "And don't worry, just let me handle this."

Noel blushes. "Okkotsu...! What a man you are!" Please remember that you're almost thirty. Don't blush at my shitty wink.

But now to kill the ghouls... A memory of Rika's destroyed body comes to my mind. "Give me Everything." I use my trigger word, and hypnotize my body into using magic.

First I use that endless pink reserves around me to scan through my body and through my Katana. It's almost like a bat using echolocation, but with magic.

With that I find the 'weaknesses' of my body, first I put mana there, so I can streghten myself to the limit. That's what reinforcement is, though it has a limit of course, even if that limit is super human.

Ciel has to have another way to reinforce herself, because there's no way she's this strong with just reinforcement. Specially when you consider my reinforcement is actually much better than normal.

That's because grain is better than ether. Basically think of my body like a piece of equipment in FFVII, it has a limited amount of spots to put Materia in.

Someone like Ciel has to use shitty Materia that she got at the beginning of the game, while I use endgame Materia... My results are better even if we are equally limited.

Which is why I should be stronger than Ciel, yet I'm clearly not. I can only imagine that it has something to do with those church upgrades she talked about.

In the end that doesn't matter right now, what matter is... "Time to wipe out everything!" I move, in a second I'm closer to the ghouls.

There was a distance of about twenty meters between us, I closed that distance to five meters in less than a second. I have no idea how impressiva that is, but it's certainly above human.

That said, fighting a bunch of explosive zombies in close range isn't exactly a good idea. Though maybe I could tank the explosion as I currently am.

However, I won't fight them close quarters, instead I swing my sword at the air. Before I had analyzed it, so it's easy enough to run mana through it.

I don't want to reinforce the sword of course, Ciel told me that my grain would eat straight through its enchanting. Instead I'm using the sword to release a bunch of energy.

My grain spreads forth like a wave coming from the sword, it's essentially a Getsuga Tensho. Normally something like this would be an extreme waste of resources, but I'm built different.

If a normal mage did this, two things would happen... First he would run out of mana. Secondly his mana would hit like a hammer, knocking away the zombies.

My mana however is actually grain, it melts and eats everything around it, like a poison that acts unbelievably fast.

In less than a second the ghouls are disintegrated, they have no time to explode, because their very mana is consumed. They aren't the only things destroyed either, my grain eat through a decent chunk of the floor and the roof.

Using this in the catacombs is actually fairly dangerous, mostly because this place is filled with leylines, according to Senpai they are very important to the mana of the city.

My grain eats right through them of course, but it's not like there's a mage family living here, so I can just go wild.

I smirk. "See Noel? That's how you deal with ghouls." They aren't super strong at all, how are these guys supposed to wipe out cities?

Rika giggles. "Retire and become a full time teacher already! You're not strong enought to work here!"

Noel glares at me. "How am I supposed to do that!?" Fair enough. "Besides, I was so sure the black key would kill them, I have ended plenty of ghouls before you know!?"

She sighs. "The fact that they're so strong probably means their parent is close... That's scary, hopefully Ciel finds him soon." Nah, I want to fight him.

Noel awkwardly looks down. "And of course I'm not strong enough to be here, I would become a teacher if I could." Is there something stopping you?

Is it the church? I guess Noel probably knows a bunch of important stuff... Nah, if it was just that I'm sure Ciel would have helped. So maybe it's something more emotional?

Or Noel simply didn't ask Ciel for help, she seems to have a weird relationship with her. Though I don't think I'm close enough to the two to pry into that.

Still... "Noel, don't worry about being weak then. I actually think you're a great teacher, that's where your talents lie." She's actually an alright teacher.

Noel crosses her arms. "Like I said, I can't stop working for the church, so what does it matter anyways? And even if I could, I wil definitely die before that." That's pretty grim.

I smirk. "Don't worry, I'll find a way to help you out." Because I'm a freak of nature. "And until then I'll protect you."

Rika nods. "I'll help out too, since you look like you need it. By the way Noel, you should sleep more... You look ugly." Choose whether you like her or not already!

Noel sighs. "Ignoring the sleep comment... I guess I could use some more meat shields, more Ciels are always nice." Wow, no shame.

She continues. "But I can't retire, not until someone very specific is dead, and he can't ever die." A revenge plot huh?

I raise an eyebrow. "So who is this immortal who you're hunting? If you don't mind me asking that is?" She mentioned him, so I'm taking the opportunity.

She frowns. "Michael Roa Valdamjong, the biggest bastard to ever be a bastard." She looks genuinely angry, and disgusted. It's a face I never seen her do before. "But Ciel is just letting him move around without a care for the world..."

I sigh. "Roa huh? I know who he is, that's the vampire Arcueid is hunting down right?" She nods, her expression doesn't change at all.

Rika sighs just like me. "Wow, the entire world hates this guys. How is he even alive when so many people want him dead?" That just means he's really strong.

But I do have something I'm confused about. "By the way Noel, what do you mean Roa is just moving around? Do you guys know where he is?"

Noel grits her teeth. "We... don't, but we have some pretty heavy suspicions of who his reincarnation is... And yet Ciel isn't doing anything."

Her body is trembling of rage. "How dare she? Ciel of all people should massacre Roa when she has the chance..." More people who hate that guy!?

I'm guessing Ciel is just being Ciel as usual, that is to say overly kind. She's probably considering his host to be innocent until proven guilty. It's a good attitude to have, I agree with her of course.

But I can also understand Noel probably has some dark backstory with Roa. She probably forgot the host is a person at all, for her he might as well be Roa already.

I smile. "Okay then Noel, let's make a deal. I'll kill Roa for you, in exchange when that happens you will retire and become my wife."

Noel glares at me. "This is serious stuff Okkotsu, Roa is immortal, he cannot be killed and... you won't be able to fight him."

My smile turns into a smirk. "I'm completely serious, I can put down immortals." I cross my arms. "I actually possess the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception." Sort of... I have a copy of it.

Or Rika does... Ciel is still not sure whether I'm responsible for Rika's copying ability, hell we aren't even sure if I'm responsible for Rika. To be honest it's bothering me, I feel like there's just one more thing I have to realize.

Noel shivers. "For real?" Her eyes are dead cold. I can only nod. "Yeah, kill Roa for me and I would fall completely in love with you." That's easy enough.

But... "Don't worry, this is a deal you don't have to pay for if you don't want to. So fall for me through our dates instead of my vampire killing." I don't want to treat Noel like a quest I have to complete.

I just want to kill Roa because he's a bastard who hurt her somehow, and he also hurt Arcueid and Ciel... This guy might be worse than Vlov.

Rika nods. "Yeah, we are going to kill Roa because we like you Seagull! But don't get too close to Yuta..." Seagull!? And we are going in a date soon.

Noel's eye twitches. "You two idiots seriously think that someone can ever kill Roa? Ciel can't, so you two can't as well." There's that weird Ciel worship again...

Before I can say anything we hear more steps, they're slow, but not like the ghouls we faces before. There's some sort of grandeur to them, like someone is purposefully making them louder.

Noel immediately points her weapon at the man behind these steps. "More ghouls...? Wait, that's a genuine dead apostle!" She immediately starts to sweat.

I grin and grip my sword tighter. "That's not a generic dead apostle Noel, I guess you were right when you said the parent had to be close."

Vlov Arkhangel stands before me, he hasn't changed a bit since our previous encounter. No, that's not right, he has some sort of gleam in his eyes.

And most import of all, he's holding a strange spear. And that weapon is warning my instincts of danger, whatever it is I should avoid.

Vlov sighs. "You again? Though it seems I managed to avoid that exorcist... I don't want to fight that woman, she reminds me of a wife of mine."

I slowly walk forward towards him, Rika following me. "Don't worry, I'm a guy. So you can just fight normally against me."

He grins. "Indeed." The corridor gets hotter, he's preparing his fire... But that doesn't worry me as much as his lance.

I look back at the trembling Noel. "Don't worry, I'll protect you. I'm your future husband after all... Actually take this as proof that I'm going to kill Roa." She doesn't respond, Noel is still paralyzed with fear.

Vlov raises an eyebrow. "Oh? I thought the Queen of Curses was your lover? Or perhaps you simply are one of my people..."

He continues. "Though I'm glad to see there are more people who want to kill that snake Roa." Even you hate him!?

I nod. "Yeah, now let's end this talk. Tonight your reign ends vampire. I will personally put a end to your pathetic life."

I continue "My power as a human will conquer your power as a non-human. Old will kill ancient." I'm a reincarnated person after all, I'm certainly not young. In a sense I'm just like Michael Roa Valdamjong, and that's why...

I laugh. "Today you face a snake, my scales and venom may differ from Roa, but I'm dangerous all the same."

This battlefield is awful, everything here helps Vlov. It's a corridor that could fall at any minute, and yet...

Vlov Arkhangel, Seventeenth member of the Dead Apostle Ancestors will meet his end on this night.

AN: It's kinda crazy to think that even Vlov wants to kill Roa... I kinda wish we could have a Shiki and Vlov team up because of that. Sadly Vlov's vlovness makes that impossible.
