Alice and Cyrus are appointed to save their beloved Mad Hatter from deadly grief by travelling back to the past, but this means fatally harming Time himself, the noble clockwork man with the device needed to save the Hatter's family from the Red Duchess. It's a sequel to Return to Wonderland.

5. Chapter 5 - The Red Duchess

Chapter 5: The Red Duchess:

Alice's POV:

Cyrus and I were then sneaking around, but then we saw Time's minions, the seconds, and his butler, Wilkins. They were greeting someone. "Your Highness-"

"MAJESTY! I may no longer be the Queen, but I still want to be addressed as Majesty! The humiliation of being known as the Red Duchess!"

"The Blasted Big Head," says Cyrus.

"Cyrus, remember how you said you would do anything for me," I asked.

"What now," asks Cyrus.

"I want you to see what Time and the Red Duchess are up to!"

"You have got to be kidding me," says Cyrus.

Cyrus' POV:

I then saw Time and the Red Duches. "Mein lofe, your head iss lookingkt fery big toda Seig Heil!" Time is in love with her?

"Your gift," asks the Red Duchess.

"I know how much you like tiny zingkts."

She then threw it. "What I really want is the Chronosphere," says the Red Duchess.

"I am sorry, but I kannot gife it to yo Seig Heil!"

Then the Red Duchess starts crying. "No one loves me! No one fears me!"

"It's nicht true, I lofe yo Seig Heil!" And I fear this whole conversation. Well, at least he can show her the time of day. But look at how pathetic he is. It's like he would do almost anything for her... and meanwhile, I would keep an eye on the scariest people in Underland for Alice. Time is me and the Red Duchess is Alice! Now that's scary.

Alice's POV:

I was about to grab the Chronosphere, but then the Seconds came, and they combined into minutes! Just as they were about to grab me, I took the Chronosphere!

Cyrus' POV:

As the Red Duchess was sulking, I sneezed. "Bless you," says the Red Duchess, but then she stopped. "Who was I just talking to?" They then both saw me. "YOU?"

"Hi, Red," I said, "how's the Red Knight?"

"You know zis boy?"

"Last I saw him, I nearly smashed his head with my own," says the Red Duchess, "bring him here so I can finish the job!"

I then ran.

Alice's POV:

I had the Chronosphere. I saw Cyrus being chased from Time and the Red Duchess.

"Nichzzingkt kan trafel faster zan time!"

"Alice, you have the Chronosphere, then use it! Don't worry about me," says Cyrus.

"I love you," I said as I used the Chronosphere and took off...

Cyrus' POV:

"Sche got away," says Time.

"Idiot," says the Red Duchess, "find her and get the Chronosphere back!" She then left.

"I vill undt you vill help m Naturlich!"

"Sorry, but Alice is the only one I would do anything for," I said, "that won't work with you. Trust me, it won't!"

"But you vould do anyzzingkt fur Underlent, am I korrect?"

"Are you threatening to destroy Underland," I asked.

"I von't destroy it, your belofed Alice vill! Vizzout ze Khronosphere, ze Grent Klock vill schtop vorkingkt undt vhen zat happens, I vill die undt all uff Underlent vill perisch! Now, vill you help me schtop your belofed?"

I either help Alice save the Hatter... or stop her from destroying Underland!
