Chapter 7: Tarts:

Cyrus' POV:

We crashed into this area where the Hatter, the Hare, and the Dormouse were having tea. "Time's up," I said.

"Ve are lookingkt fur Alic Naturlich!"

"And you are," asks Mally.

"I am Time undt zis fool iss Alice's lof Naturlich! Now, vhere iss sche?"

"We did invite her for tea," says the Hatter.

"Zen ve schall vait. Boy, sit down!"

"You could at least say please," I said.

"So, you are Time," says the Hatter, "I've always been wondering... when is soon?"

Alice's POV:

I traveled to the time the Red Princess hit her head. I saw Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum as toddlers and they were making a snow man. I then saw the Hatter as a kid, talking to the Cheshire Kitten and Bayard as a puppy. "Watch me disappear," says Cheshire. He does so, but we can see his tail.

"Where'd the cat go," asks the Tweedles.

Bayard then bites Cheshire's tail. The Hatter then sees me. "I like your head," says the Hatter, "come with me!"

. . .

He took me to his family's habadashery. "Father, she has a great head for hats," says the Hatter, "also, I made this hat!"

"You got this on the wrong side," says the Hatter's Father. He starts breaking it and the Hatter runs off.

Cyrus' POV:

"So, is it true that you heal all wounds," asks the Hatter.

"Time is on my side," says the Hare.

"Why is it that you wait for no man," asks the Hatter.

"I just can't find the time," says Mally. Cheshire then appears. "Cheshire, where have you been? You're late?"

"Actually, I'm right on time," says Cheshire.

"I got time on my hand," says the Hatter.

"Guys," I said, "I think you're killing time!"

"Do you silly nitwits zink zat I haf nicht heart zese silly chokes before? Your attempts at mockery fall fla Seig Heil!"

"I guess we're just wasting time," I said.

"Look, look," says the Hatter, playing with Time's shoulder things, "time is flying!"

"Enough! Vhere iss Alice?"

"Well, I said we invited her," says the Hatter, "I never said she was coming!"

"You vant to know vhen soon vas? It iss ein minute to te Naturlich!" He then zaps them.

"What did you do," I asked.

"Since zey are all vaitingkt fur Alice, now it vill always be ein minute to tea until sche kome Seig Heil! By ze time sche does kome, zey'll probably forget vho sche undt you ar Naturlich!" Time then started walking.

I saw the others trying to leave the table. "What are we going to do to pass the time," asks Mally.

I then had an idea. "Well, think of the birthday celebrations," I said.

"But we can't celebrate birthdays all the time," says the Hare.

"What about unbirthdays," I asked.

The three were confused. "What's an unbirthday," asks the hare.

"He doesn't know what an unbirthday is," I said, "well, you know how a birthday is celebrated once a year? An unbirthday is celebrated on all the days a birthday is not celebrated on!"

"But doesn't that make it less special," asks Mally.

"It's not like you three have anything else to do," I said.

"Works for me," says Mally.

"In fact," I said, "I believe it's the Hatter's unbirthday."

"It is," asks the Hatter.

"It is," says the Hare and Mally.

And I walked away as they celebrate the Hatter's unbirthday.

Alice's POV:

I was then searching for the castle.

White Princess' POV:

To everyone else, our Mother is a horrible tyrant who rules with an iron fist, but to us, she's a loving mother. Though I wish she would be nicer to the common people. "You're taking all the tarts," I said.

"You can have the crusts," says Iracebeth.

"I don't like the crusts," I said.

"Now that's enough," says Mother, "now, out of the kitchen!"

Cyrus' POV:

We're in this palace. "Where are we," I asked.

"Vhere do you zink? Now, I am goingkt to find Alic Naturlich! Tell me vhere sche most likely vould b Naturlich!"

I then took a look at our location. Then I looked and saw the Red Princess and White Princess as children. "She's going to try to keep the Red Princess from becoming who she is today!"

"Uff kourse, sche beliefes zat if mein belofed vhere to nefer become a tyrant, zen ze Hatter's family vill be spare Naturlich!" Time then leaves to find Alice.

I then walked and almost screamed when I saw the shadow of the Jabberwock! I then looked and saw the Jabberwock was just a puppy... or something. I then hid when I saw the Red Princess coming out and petting the Jabberwock. It was strangely cute. "You and me forever," says the Red Princess.

Now I feel bad because Alice is going to decaptitate it one day! I then saw the White Princess steal a tart and she runs, but some crumbs fall to the floor, and she hides them under the Red Princess' bed. "WHO ATE THE TARTS?" I then saw her... the Queen of Hearts! So, that's what she looks like! "Iracebeth, did you take the tart?"

"No Mother," says the Red Princess, "it must have been Mirana!"

"Mirana, did you eat the tart," asks the Queen.

There was a pause. "No," says the White Princess.

The Red Princess then ran out.

Alice's POV:

I then saw the Red Princess and she was about to hit a clock. I managed to get the clock out of the way, but she slipped and fell and hit her head anyway. "My head!" Her family was checking on her. I then ran.

. . .

It's like Time said... you can't change the past! "Alice," says Cyrus.

"Cyrus," I said. We then embraced.

"Alice, I know how this feud began," says Cyrus, "the White Princess stole the last tart and let the Red Princess take the blame!"

"And I know you can't change the past," I said, "now the Hightopps... wait... Underland's Deceased! There was a space next to the Highbottoms! An empty space! The Hightopps are alive! Hang on... how did you get here?"

"Take a guess," says Cyrus.

Then Time appears. "We must talk," says Time.
