Chapter 12: Saving Time:
Alice's POV:
The Hatter and I then returned to Time's castle. "Alice," asks Cyrus.
"Cyrus," I said. I then embraced him and kissed him. "Cyrus, I realized how I've been using you and I am so sorry-"
"This is a really bad time, actually," says Cyrus, "wait, were you two collecting ants?"
"Cyrus, this is my family," says the Hatter.
"So. that's where he was," says Cyrus.
"He who," I asked.
"Pimlick," says Cyrus.
"You've seen Pimlick," asks the Hatter.
"Yes, and he, somehow, escaped from that ant farm and gave the Red Duchess the idea to go back in time because he expects her to see herself because he wants revenge on her and he's willing to destroy Underland to get it and because he ate a demon's ashes and a deity's hair, he'll be fine, and he plans to remake Underland in his image and become a God!"
"I don't believe what I am hearing," says the Hatter, "I mean, I know you're telling the truth, but I'm still in shock!"
"When I went back in time, I heard him talk about feeling he was meant for more than just making hats," I said.
"He never did like making hats," says the Hatter.
"Cyrus, we need to use that handcar you and Time used," I said.
. . .
The Hatter and I used to go back in time, and we saw everything turning to rust. The White Queen dragged the rusted Red Duchess onto the handcar, and we returned to the present.
. . .
We had to hurry to return the Chronosphere to the Grand Clock. "Going somewhere," asks Pimlick.
"Pimlick," says the Hatter, "I thought I was the disgrace to the Hightopp name, but it was you!"
"You have that big headed beast to thank," says Pimlick, "if she didn't capture us, I wouldn't have to do this!"
"Go," says the Hatter, "he is mine-"
"No," I said, "there has been enough sibling fighting sibling! I'll take him on! Alice, you have to return the Chronosphere!"
"Cyrus, I can't let you-" I began.
"Alice, I would do anything for you, now go!" We then all left.
. . .
As we were moving, the rust kept infecting us. "It's been an honor, Brother," says Tweedle Dee.
"An honor it's been," says Tweedle Dum.
They turn to rust.
Cyrus' POV:
I was faced with Pimlick. "So, you think you're going to be the hero," asks Pimlick.
"No," I said, "Tarrant is the Hatter!" We then started fighting. "Thackery is the Hare!" Pimlick punches me, then I punched him. "Cheshire's the cat!" I then kicked him. "Mirana's the Queen! Mally's the Dormouse! Alice is the hero! And me, I'm Cyrus!" I then knocked him out. But then I looked at myself and saw I was turning to rust.
Alice's POV:
Everyone was turning to rust until it was just me and the Hatter, but then he turned to rust and just as I was about to place the Chronosphere, I was turned to rust... luckily, it was close enough to turn everything back.
The White Queen's POV:
My sister was alive again. She was furious, but... "Racie," I said, "I am sorry. I did take the last tart! I lied all these years! Can you ever forgive me?"
"That's all I ever wanted," she says.
I then hugged my sister.
Alice's POV:
Everything was fixed, there was just one thing. "What are we going to do with Pimlick," asks Cyrus.
"Zere iss only ein punischment fittingkt fur him! He schall be trapped in a time loo Seig Heil! Schtartingkt mitt ze moment he escaped from ze ant farm, endingkt mitt zis moment her Naturlich!"
Pimlick then runs to the Hatter. "Tarrant, brother, please, don't let him do this," says Pimlick.
"I realized who my true brothers are," says the Hatter, "and my sisters."
"He is talking about us, right," I asked Thackery.
"I hope so," says Thackery.
"Please, anything, but-" Pimlick then disapapears.
"He khose ze vorst last vorts anyone kan zink of."
"Sorry for trying to squash your head with my head the last time," the Red Duchess says to Cyrus.
"Awe, bring it in," says Cyrus.
"We're not there yet," says the Red Duchess, "I'd rather settle for a handshake."
"That works too." Cyrus then shakes her hand.
"Alice, Cyrus," says the Hatter, "meet my family! The ones that will not try to destroy the world!"
"A pleasure to meet you all," says the Hatter's Father.
"There is just one thing before we go," I asked.
. . .
"What is going on," asks Cyrus.
"I want to show you how much I appreciate you," I said, "so, it's your unbirthday!"
"What," asks Cyrus, "you didn't have to-"
"Cyrus, I would do anything for you," I said.
Every one of our friends then come out to celebrate. Also, I gave my Father's watch to Time. I realized Time was not a thief, he gives before he takes.
. . .
Cyrus and I then returned to our world. My mother decides not to sell the ship. We then traveled the seas together.
Epilogue:
Years later, Cyrus and I have a son, Theodore Tarrant Baker. He's reading a book. 'Alice in Wonderland'. Written by Lewis Caroll. Apparently, during all of that, Pimlick managed to write a book. It sickens me, knowing he made me famous, but that's life. "I have to go," says Cyrus, "I'm going to be late!"
