It was Friday. Damon had been captured and he was locked up in the dungeon. I now understood why we had a dungeon but I couldn't help but wonder if he had ever used it before. Stefan said that he figured Damon would wake up today. I wasn't sure what the point of letting him wake up was. I supposed it was so the two of us could return to our lives. We couldn't keep doing the round-the clock thing. Stefan had to get back to Elena and I wanted to get back to school. I wouldn't have thought I would ever be thinking that. I was wearing a black top with a white tulle skirt and a leather jacket with a pair of black booties.

"Where am I?" Damon croaked as he woke up. "Where's my ring?"

"You're not going to need it anymore." I declared. It seemed a little unnecessary but Stefan said that we should take it as a precaution."

"What day is it?" He asked.

"It's Friday." Stefan replied.

"What are you doing to me?" Damon questioned.

"In the old days when a vampire became a problem, they sought to reeducate him instead of punish him." Stefan explained. You know that sounded like a load of crap. I wouldn't be surprised if Stefan had just made it up."

"You know what will happen if I don't feed." Damon declared.

"Yes we do." I replied. I didn't before this started, but Stefan filled me in.

"We're going to put you in the family crypt and in a few years, we'll see if you've learned your lesson." Stefan added.

"Stefan, I don't want to agree to that. My father is in there." I pointed out. "Plus a few others as well."

"I'm stronger than you think I am." Damon tried to boast. The coughing didn't help his case.

"You're not stronger than the vervain." I replied. "I wish it didn't have to be this way but you brought this upon yourself."

We then went upstairs where Zach was having breakfast. Maybe we shouldn't have let him do the shopping because he got these generic bran flakes.

"Did you check on him?" He asked as Rachel came downstairs.

"He's awake." Stefan declared. "He's weak but it's probably not a good idea to go down there. He could still hurt you."

I then headed upstairs and back down with my bag.

"Are you going to school?" Zach asked.

"I came back to have a life and I want to return to that." Stefan said. "That is if Elena will still speak to me."

"Ditto." I added. It was possible that she was angrier at me because I was her and I was supposed to be there for her when her boyfriend went MIA.

"Why haven't you talked to her?" Zach questioned.

"What am I supposed to do? Tell her another lie?" Stefan challenged. "She already knows that I'm hiding something. It's not like I can tell her the truth."

"You can't keep hiding what you are from this girl. Uncle Stefan." Zach replied. "If you stay together, she's going to find out eventually."

"I don't think we should do that right now." I proposed. "Maybe after Damon's dealt with, we can go down that road. In the meantime, don't go downstairs."

As we drove to school, I tried to think of how I could possibly tell Elena. I didn't think I could just go "Hey, I'm a vampire.". For one, I was pretty sure that she wouldn't believe me and if she did, she would probably freak out.

When I got to school, I went to History and saw…Kelsey.

"Ms. Rogers, what are you doing here?" I asked her in surprise.

"The school asked me to fill in for one class while they search for a new teacher." She explained. "If you had been here, you would have known that. That brings us to the question of where you have been."

"Sick." I answered. "I had food poisoning."

"Well your monologue is still going to be due later. Since you weren't here, you must have had plenty of time to rehearse." She replied.

"Are you mad at me?" I inquired. "Is it because of what happened at the party?"

"I'm not mad at you but I am disappointed. Usually when you're sick, you at least call to let someone know. If I didn't like you so much, I would dock your grade for the semester for so many unexcused absences." She declared.

Okay, note to self, do not get on her bad side. I realized that I could have compelled her.

"I'll compel her after class." Rachel volunteered when we sat down.

"No you won't." I argued. "She's the only teacher that I actually like. Hopefully that will still be true after this,"

After class, I noticed Stefan was talking to Elena. I tried to listen before I suddenly saw Caroline in front of me.

"Hi." I greeted her.

"Where is Damon? He has some major apologizing that he needs to do." She remarked. I thought Stefan would have compelled her to forget him, but I realized that he couldn't do that because he'd also have to compel Elena, who had vervain and Bonnie, which was literally impossible.

"He's gone, Caroline." I replied.

"When's he coming back?" She questioned.

"Never." I said. "You don't need him anymore."

"Well you need to make sure you have a bikini for the carwash tomorrow." She stated. It seemed kind of late in the year to have a bikini carwash. I also managed to hear that Stefan wanted to meet Elena at the Grill today. I would have to apologize to her in my own way.

In Theatre, I basically had to come up with something I remembered off the spot because I had not rehearsed at all. I went something from The Fresh Prince because I could say most of that from memory. Specifically it was Will talking to Uncle Phil when his father abandons him again.

"That was impressive." Kelsey told me.

After school, I went to do some shopping because I did not trust Zach's judgment when it came to food. When I got back, I found that Stefan was there with Zach in the kitchen.

"Did you already talk to Elena?" Rachel asked.

"Fuck." Stefan cursed as he realized that he was late. He then rushed to the Grill. However, he came back not long after. It didn't like he had had a good time.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Well Elena was mad at me for being late and before I could say anything to her, this man who had seen me in the 50s showed up." Stefan explained. "And then Elena left. I'm pretty sure that she broke up with me."

"Okay, I think we need to try a different tactic." I suggested. "I need to apologize to Elena too and I think that if it goes well, I think I can convince her to let you talk to her. I was going to cook dinner tonight, but I'm going to cook it for Elena instead. Wish me luck."

"Careful, Stefan, she's going to steal your girl." Rachel remarked. Both of us glared at her before I left.

I went and knocked on her door. If I was Elena, I would probably be in my room, so I wasn't surprised when Jeremy opened the door.

"Elena's not home." He said,

"Did she tell you to say that because that's clearly her car." I remarked. "Listen, I know that she's mad at me but I want to make things up to her by making her dinner. Can you give me a few minutes to get set up, then send her down. I'll even give you something. Do you know if she likes Chicken Parmesan?"

"It's actually her favorite." He declared.

"I'll save some for you." I promised. "So can I come in?"

He stepped aside and I headed to the kitchen before I started to unpack and set things up. A few minutes later, I heard someone coming downstairs. From what I gathered Jenna was not there.

"Jenna, I thought you were…Brandy." She said.

"Hey." I greeted her.

"It's okay if I'm confused because you seriously haven't talked to me in four days and now you're suddenly in my kitchen cooking…something?" She asked. I supposed that I probably should have tried to talk to her at school.

"Well I realize that I needed to talk to you about my sudden absence and I thought the best way to do that would be over dinner." I said. "I can't cook much but Jeremy told me that you like Chicken Parmesan."

"You can't just cook me food and expect things to be better." She remarked.

"So, anyway let's start with how I came here." I remarked. "So as you know, I was in foster care. Rachel and I were between families when I found out that I had a living relative who lived here. He was my dad's second cousin and I was just so happy to find a place that I could call home."

"Wow." She remarked as I continued to get things ready.

"But enough with the Lifetime movie stuff. Let's talk about me." I said as she smiled. "My favorite movie is The Breakfast Club. I've seen most of the John Hughes movies and I'm not just saying that because he died recently. For books, I've been really into Twilight recently and my favorite TV Show is The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which you may have guessed from my monologue. Now what else is there? I know we can talk about you now."

"Um I really like She's the Man." She replied as she started to chop vegetables. "Fuck."

It was then that I noticed that she cut herself.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah I just need to wash it." She remarked as she rushed over to the sink. I then smelled the blood. Damn it. It was happening again. Okay, Brandy breathe. You can do this. "Your face."

"What?" I asked as I managed to return it normal. I hoped that she hadn't seen any of that.

"I think I am starting to hallucinate from blood loss." She joked.

"Okay, no more cutting for you. Leave the cooking to the professionals." I retorted as I put the knife away.

The dinner went pretty well. I even convinced her to give Stefan another chance and he came over and they were even kissing by the end of the night.

The following day I had on my black and white striped bikini with random red polka dots on it. First I went down to check on Damon.

"You must be feeling pretty good right now." He told me. I didn't want to lock him up but he left me no choice.

"Not really." I retorted.

"She's going to find out and I bet she won't like you then." He replied.

"You know the nice thing about you being down here is I can leave and I won't have to hear you anymore."

I went to the carwash with Rachel, who was wearing a red bikini that showed off her impressive chest. We found Elena and Stefan at the cashbox and apparently we were the only ones who were wearing full bikinis. Wasn't that the point of a bikini carwash?

"I thought everyone was supposed to wear bikinis." I said to Caroline.

"Well I can't actually make anyone wear a bikini but you two need to be sexier." She replied to Elena and Stefan before she walked off.

"Did we just get scolded?" Stefan asked.

"Looks like both of you need to strip." Rachel remarked.

So the thing about the carwash was we were going to be working in pairs. I was assigned to someone that I was not expecting to see there, at least not in the way she was dressed.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her. She was wearing a pink scaly bikini.

"Well according to Caroline, I am the only teacher that's hot enough to pull off a swimsuit," She stated. That made me think of the idea of any of my other teachers in swimsuits and I cringed.

"Well she's probably right." I admitted. She was also definitely hot. I seriously wished that she wasn't my teacher because I would probably be all over her if I wasn't. Okay, maybe not but seeing her like that was turning me on. Besides the normal flaws of being a vampire, one of the other things was an overactive libido. That was why Rachel had sex so much, but I liked to thing that I had more control than that and while college graduates were statistically more experienced than high schoolers, that didn't mean that it was actually true. We started to wash the car that we had been assigned to do together as I decided to focus on the vehicle and not her.

"You're getting soap in that." She remarked. What? I wasn't sure what she was talking about. "Your ring."

Oh. I hadn't thought about that. I hadn't ever done anything like this before and I didn't think that it would be an issue.

"Oh." I replied.

"Maybe you should take it off." She suggested. "You don't want to ruin it."

"It's waterproof so I don't have to take it off." I declared. It actually was because I liked being able to swim and not just when it was night, even though that was pretty good too. Come to think of it, I hadn't really seen anywhere to do that here. I mean the school had a pool, but it wasn't exactly something that anyone could use because it was for the swimming team and the water polo team. I was surprised that they had either of those in such a small town.

"So that stone is pretty. I don't think I've ever seen it before." She commented. "Well besides the one that Rachel has."

"We got them together as a friendship keepsake." I lied. "It's called Lapis Lazuli. It means blue stone in Latin. Are you sure you're okay?"

"I really feel like I shouldn't be here. It's kind of inappropriate for me to be doing this with a bunch of students." She replied. While her being participating might not be the best idea, I didn't see any of sort of reason that it was inappropriate. We were just wearing swimsuits and washing cars. There wasn't anything sexual about it.

"Then why did you agree to it?" I asked.

"Well one Caroline is pretty persuasive." She replied. I couldn't help but giggle a little even though I wasn't sure if it was okay for me to do so. "And it is for a good cause. I do charity events, even though I really don't like all of those guys looking at me."

I felt kind of bad for her. It was kind of how I felt in my cheerleading uniform. I was much more used to wearing bikinis and the one that I had on didn't show a lot of my boobs.

"So I don't mean to leave you to do all of the work by yourself, but I think it would be best for me to go." She said before she walked off. The downside to that was that I didn't have anyone to talk to anymore and washing cars really wasn't the most exciting activity.

"You know the two of you would look really good together." Rachel said as she appeared behind me.

"Would you stop trying to set me up with everyone that I talk to?" I asked her in frustration.

"It's not my fault that you seem to have chemistry with everyone." She pointed out.

"Rachel, there are laws that say students cannot date teachers. I do not want her to go to jail and get blacklisted from teaching especially since she literally just started." I declared. I also didn't know if she liked girls, but she did seem to enjoy dancing with me.

"Since when do vampires have to follow laws?" She asked. She was missing the point of this.

"She's not a vampire. Do you know how hard it would be to compel everyone everywhere?" I asked. "Please just let it go because it isn't going to happen."

That was when I noticed Elena was talking to the local news reporter. I wasn't sure why this event was newsworthy whether it was a small town or not. Apparently he was also pretty close with Elena's aunt. It was then that I realized that his reasons for being there were actually quite perverted. He wanted to ogle a bunch of high school girls, which was pretty disgusting if you ask me. Anyway, Elena asked if he could take her to the station for some reason. I didn't know why but the two of them left in the news van. I was also surprised that such a small town had its own news station.

A few minutes later, I started to smell smoke and then I saw fire and I saw Bonnie. She seemed to be casting a spell, but she didn't even seem to know it. I then I had to stop her because the fire could cause a lot of damage. I ran over to her and started to shake her.

"Bonnie." I declared as she blinked a few times and the fire went out.

"What happened?" She asked. It seemed like she did not remember casting the spell.

"You were in some sort of trance." I told her. You know maybe I could have Rachel teach her some magic, but that was probably not a good idea because A: we would have to tell her why Rachel can't do magic which meant that we would have to tell her that we were vampires and B: I really didn't even know how much magic Rachel even knew anymore.

"Did I do this?" She asked as she looked over the small amount of damage that had been caused.

"I think so." I replied. She looked so scared.

"Did anyone else see this?" She responded. Well I was pretty sure that Stefan and Rachel had both noticed it but I knew that I probably shouldn't tell her that.

"No." I lied.

"Please don't tell anyone." She stated as she ran away. That was the third person that left and we still had a bunch of cars to wash. Come to think of it, I had not seen Caroline lately either.

So once the carwash was finally done, I knew that I needed to go down to the hospital to get some blood. I could have just fed on someone there, but it probably wasn't the best idea. They had extra blood and as long as I didn't take any of the rare stuff I would be okay. I needed to have some extra especially since I had to get some for Rachel as well since she was not biting the people that she had sex with because according to her, they performed better when they weren't dealing with blood loss.

I actually managed to get home before Stefan did. Of course I could tell that something was wrong. The door was opened and I could smell a combination of blood and death. I had a bad feeling about it. I slowly walked inside. I saw a few strands of blonde hair on the floor that I was pretty sure were not Rachel's before I saw a dead bird on the floor. If I wasn't mistaken, it was the same cry that followed Damon around. That only made me more nervous. I had a feeling that something bad had happened downstairs.

"Zach?" I asked. He didn't answer, but his car was still there. I started to head downstairs as the smell of death started to grow stronger. My suspicions were confirmed when I found Zach lying on the ground with his neck broken and more importantly Damon had escaped.

"I'm home." I heard Stefan call. I headed back upstairs. I knew that he would be pissed. I was pretty angry but Stefan had known Zach longer. "Brandy, where's Zach?"

"Stefan, there's something that I need to tell you." I replied. Before I could say anything, he rushed downstairs and he found him. You know I could help but wonder what we were going to do with his body. We would probably need to hide this.

"I'm gonna kill him." He declared with a look of rage on his face. "I should have done this before and now he's out there."

"Stefan, you need to calm down." I told him. I knew that vampires got stronger when they were angry, but I did not want him to kill his brother.

"Calm down? He killed the one person in my family that I've always been able to count on." He replied. Why did he have to say it like that?

"Good to know that you think so highly of me." I replied. I was a little angry myself. He ran upstairs and grabbed a stake. Why did we have stakes lying around the house? It seemed like a bad idea. I needed to get some blood. I would probably have to capture Damon again and I might have to be able to fight Stefan off so he didn't kill him. I didn't know why I wanted to save him but it was probably for the same reason as before. He was family, even though Zach was family too. Stefan was probably even right but for some reason I didn't want to do it.

Stefan then threw the door open and he prepared to go out and kill Damon. It was then that I saw Elena was there and she saw him with a stake in his hand and me a glass of blood literally about to touch my lips. Well it seemed like she was going to know how. She looked terrified.

"What are you?" She asked.

So now Damon has escaped and Elena found out that Stefan and Brandy are vampires. Things are not going to be easy for them, but Elena will be okay. Please don't forget to review.
