The hot summer sky was glowing brightly in the Brazilian nation the heat was felt by everyone including a young girl with long brown hair that reaches the base of her neck and matching eyes wearing a green button up shirt that is cut above her belly button and showing a window of her breasts, a black skirt with matching fingerless gloves and brown sandals she walked around the streets of her home town watching the people rushing in and sellers haggle the prices of their wares.
Not far from the girl a young man followed he had tan skin long braided black hair and a beard wearing a white shirt with brown streaks, a pair of dark black jeans and brown shoes along with a pair of shades he carried a photo with him one that matched the girl he's following once clear he placed the photo away picking the pace "Hey you there!"
The girl stopped and looked back "Yes?"
"Are you Christie Monteiro?" the man asked.
"I am" Christie answered looking back at the man alarmed "And you are?"
The man scratched the back of his head nervously before he looked to the side catching the glimpse of a café "Do you have time to drink?"
"Well unless you can get something cold I don't see why not" Christie replied as she followed him towards the café.
Once in the café Christie watched the young man with narrowed eyes "So what do you want?"
The young man lifted his shades off slightly showing his brown eyes "Your grandfather is the legendary Capoeira master that is imprisoned."
Christie's alarm bells rang harder at the mention of her grandfather the reason he's behind bars as far as she was told was because he made contact with the wrong kind of people "So what? I haven't ever met the man before."
The young man seemed to narrow his eyes at her response letting out a sigh "Didn't your parents ever think about letting you see him?"
"No mother fears the people he's connected to" Christie clarified.
"Well it's about time to remedy this" the young man spoke "My name is Eddy Gordo and I owe a lot to your grandfather."
Christie stared at Eddy looking up with a thoughtful expression before her eyes widened immediately she got off her chair "You're the guy that killed his dad!"
This caught many people's attention who looked to the duo to be more specifically at Eddy as murmurs began being traded "Listen here what you think of me is not important and frankly I don't care, the reason I'm even here is because I owe a favour to someone and I pay back in full."
Christie sat back down slowly before she locked eyes with Eddy again "That person is grandpa."
"I believe I said that" Eddy answered "When the prisoners were breaking free and turned the prison grounds became rings for the strongest I was the first to be targeted but I was saved by that man using a form of fighting I never saw before."
"Capoeira is it's name mom always told me her father is the greatest master of this art" Christie said.
"That he is I asked him to teach me this fighting style and he agreed under on condition, that is to find and teach that art to his granddaughter Christie Monteiro."
"How does he know my name?"
"Your mother though she didn't let you meet him still kept in touch through letters where she mentioned you, the master wanted to see you more than anything but he shared his daughter's fears and he doubts he'll get to see you before he gets released" Eddy grimly revealed "For this reason he asked me to find you and teach you his art in his steed."
"I-I see" Christie uneasily answered not knowing weather to believe this guy or not.
Thankfully it didn't take long for their drinks to come and the man Eddy to take his leave.

The night had fallen when Christie reached her apartment she had moved in here since her previous resident was too far away from the institution, the apartment was a regular studio apartment with one room continuing the living room along with the kitchen while the bedroom and the bathroom were in separate in doors.
The young woman gazed at her phone taking a deep breath she picked it up and began dialling she heard the ring before it was finally picked up "Hey Christie how are you doing?"
"I'm doing fine mom actually something came up today."
"What happened?"
"Some guy came to me and talked to me about grandpa."
"Dad? He wasn't Japanese the guy is right?" her mother asked in alarm.
"No he's actually Eddy Gordo."
"Gordo?! The boy that killed his dad!" her mother was even more alarmed.
"Yes he told me about owing grandpa and how he wished to teach me his Capoeira."
"I wished he was lying in these letters" her mother replied.
"You knew?" Christie felt sweat pouring from her forehead.
"Yes I got some recent letters from dad about how he entrusted a young man that was a fellow inmate to teach you."
"Thanks for clarification mom, love you bye" Christie closed the line placing her phone down before she dropped in the couch with a sigh.

*Knock-knock
The door knocking echoed through the apartment it along with the sun rays bothered Christie forcing her to at least attend to one of them and since the sun is already far from her reach she wobbled towards the door and opened it, she was in for a surprise when she met Eddy Gordo in the door "Good morning."
"Good morning" Christie replied with a narrowed glare "How did you find me?"
"I know some people" Eddy simply answered lowering his shades a bit giving her the look to leave it at that.
"Alright not so suspicious" Christie didn't even hide her sarcasm.
"Well have some good breakfast our training starts half an hour from now."
"Wait hold on I just got up!"
"Morning is the best time to start not to mention the heat will prove to be useful" Eddy looked out in the window "The road will be a long one hope you're ready."
Christie can only shake her head in preparation for what to come her way.

"Ah!" Christie grunted as she hit the ground again.
"Get up!" Eddy commanded as he rushed in for a kick but Christie's eyes widened as she managed to roll away and countered with her own kick.
Eddy retracted his leg and couldn't help but smirk proudly "The Oldman wasn't lying about your potential, however."
Eddy rolled down and swept Christie's leg before he crossed his legs around her throat taking her down "Your still fresh it'll take about a year or two before we finish off the training."
