This story got followed and favourited! Woo-hoo! Thank you!

Stupid Bloom! Stupid Roxy! Stupid Alfea! Stupid EVERYTHING! Naomi barely restrained the urge to punch a wall in frustration. She shouldn't be here. She didn't want to be here. Naomi walked down the stairs, speeding up into a run and racing through the dorms, narrowly dodging fairies as she tried very hard not to scream with frustration. She stopped in front of what looked like a supply closet and ducked inside, breathing hard. She threw herself down against the wall and hugged her knees to herself, pressing her face into her legs and unleashing a muffled scream that turned into a sob. Thank the Dragon she'd got out of there quickly; she wasn't sure what she might have done if Bloom had said anything else. She might have turned into a lion and pounced on the fairy, or possibly just broken down and cried as she was doing now. If she was being honest, she wasn't sure which would have been worse.

Naomi cried for a long time. Her tears were born of an overwhelming mix of heartache, fury, fear, loneliness, confusion, homesickness and emotional exhaustion, and they'd been waiting to spill since she'd woken up on Tir Na N'og. She wanted to go home. She wanted to curl up on her bed where everything was safe and familiar. She wanted her family. She wanted Anagan to fold her into his arms and stroke her hair the way he used to when she had a nightmare, and Duman to turn into a cat and nuzzle her until she smiled, like when she was small. She wanted to wake up and realise that all this was just a bad dream, and she was in her bed at home, and her family were just downstairs, not frozen in Omega or dead.

She screamed into her legs again, trying to release some of the pent-up emotions inside her.

Her head snapped up as the door creaked open and bright light streamed into the supply closet.

'Really gotta oil those hinges...Oh!' A large yellow ogre stood in the doorway, staring down at her with surprise and concern. 'Are you alright?'

Naomi rapidly scrambled to her feet, futilely wiping her eyes. 'Fine,' she gasped, ducking past the ogre and dashing away down the corridor.

After running for about a minute, she slipped into a bathroom.

'Leave!' she snarled at the two fairies doing their lipstick in the mirror, and they quickly obliged, hurrying out of the room nervously.

Naomi gripped the edges of a sink and took a few deep breaths. Calm down. She looked at herself in the mirror and flinched as she saw her red-rimmed panda-eyes. Hastily grabbing some tissues from the box next to the sink, she aggressively wiped the tears and smudged makeup off her face, completing the job with a slight glamour to disguise her puffy eyes. She wasn't going to let anyone at this damn school see she'd been crying. If you let them see they've hurt you, they'll know they can do it again. Gantlos had said that to her once, when she'd come back from a trip into the nearest town crying because some kids had called her a freak after seeing her change the colour of her hair. She'd taken his advice then, and she could take it now. After double-checking her appearance, she took another deep breath and walked out of the bathroom.

Naomi wandered aimlessly down the corridor, not really going anywhere, just avoiding going back to her room. Great Dragon, this school was huge. She walked past the library, and considered going inside. She started to turn around, but was knocked into the wall by a girl walking down the hall staring at her phone. The smart thing to do would be to ignore her and keep heading for the library, but Naomi was much too emotionally charged to think about the smart thing to do.

'Hey!' Naomi glared at the girl. 'Remember reality? It's that thing you live in and should pay attention to?' The girl turned slightly.

'Excuse me?'

Naomi folded her arms. 'You might want to try saying that before you barge into someone.'

The girl put her hands on her hips. 'Just who do you think you are?'

'Uh, I'm the girl you just slammed into a wall. You might want to consider apologising. Who do you think you are?'

'I'm Olivia Silvers.'

Naomi raised an eyebrow. 'Is that supposed to mean something to me?'

Olivia looked incredulous. 'I'm the princess of Aria.'

'I've never heard of Aria, but if you're their princess, I feel bad for them.'

Smoke was practically coming out of Olivia's ears. 'How dare you!'

'Oh, please,' Naomi scoffed. 'You think I care that you're a princess? All I care about is that you barged into me and you still haven't apologised.' By now, quite a few students had stopped to watch the altercation.

Olivia looked furious, then something seemed to occur to her, and she laughed. 'Oh, I know who you are. You're that last-minute enrolment from Earth!' Naomi stiffened. Olivia laughed again. 'I heard about you; you spent last night in Tir Na N'og's dungeon! You're the Wizards of the Black Circle's shapeshifting freak of a daughter!' The spectating students started whispering, and Naomi put all her effort into keeping her cool. 'How come you're here instead of in Omega like the rest of your family?' Naomi clenched her fists. 'Oh, sorry, I forgot. How come you're here instead of frozen in Omega or dead like the rest of your family?' At the sight of Olivia's sadistic smirk, Naomi's self-restraint shrugged and gave up, and the pink-haired fairy snarled and leapt forward, shifting into a wolf midair and tackling Olivia. The spectators gasped, and Olivia shrieked.

'What the hell?! Get off, freak!' Olivia blasted Naomi in the stomach, but Naomi kept clinging on and the pair rolled around the corridor in a tangled mess of fur, clothes, and excessively-gelled hair.

'I'll go get a teacher!' someone called.

'What, are you kidding? This is brilliant! Ten dollars says the wolf wins!'

'Whoa, whoa, whoa!' Naomi felt herself get pulled off Olivia, and she snarled and struggled against the magic lifting her off the princess.

'Hey! Hey, chill!' Naomi saw Khadija, the student aid from earlier, levitating her. 'Naomi, calm down!' She looked down and saw Olivia glaring up at her.

'Freak!' spat the princess, and Naomi growled at her, lunging to reignite their conflict, but Khadija's magic held her back.

'Hey! Hey!' Khadija glared at the girls. 'Naomi, calm down! Olivia, don't provoke her!'

'Naomi Hunter!' Naomi turned to see Miss Grizelda stalking down the corridor. 'Miss Hunter, turn human again this instant!' Naomi reluctantly shifted back into her own form, continuing to glare at Olivia. 'What is going on here?' Grizelda demanded.

Olivia scrambled to her feet. 'Miss Grizelda, I was just walking along the hall, and this little freak attacked me out of nowhere!'

'What-?' Naomi began, but Miss Grizelda held up a hand.

'Miss Silvers, I really don't think such language is called for.'

'But-'

Grizelda cut her off. 'Both of you, Faragonda's office. Now.'

Roxy wandered out to the courtyard. It had been over an hour since Naomi had stormed out, and she hadn't seen the shapeshifter since. In all honesty, she was getting kind of worried. She glanced around the courtyard, but couldn't see her roommate. However, she did spot Bloom, Musa, Aisha, Tecna, Flora, Sky, Brandon and Helia standing across the courtyard, talking. Maybe they'd seen Naomi.

'Bloom!' Roxy ran over, waving.

'I didn't say it was going to be easy...Roxy!' Bloom turned and smiled weakly at Roxy.

'Bloom?' Roxy took in the worry etched on her friend's face. 'Is everything okay?'

Musa put a hand on Bloom's shoulder and sighed. 'Our meeting with Miss Faragonda had...mixed results.'

'What do you mean?'

'In order to get strong enough to defeat Tritannus, we need a new power,' Bloom explained.

'Well, then you'll get the new power,' Roxy encouraged. 'You got Believix easily enough.'

Bloom shook her head. 'This is more complicated. We need to gain Sirenix, an ancient power of the oceans, but in order to earn it, we have to complete a quest, which would be fine, if it wasn't for the fact that there's a curse on Sirenix. And...it turns out that the curse...' Bloom swallowed hard. 'The curse is the same curse that took my sister's body and condemned her to her spirit form.'

'Oh, Bloom...' Roxy folded her arms around Bloom.

'Miss Faragonda said we have to find the Sirenix Book,' Tecna said. 'And she told us that Daphne might know where it was.'

'...I just went to talk to Daphne, and I managed to convince her to tell me where to find the Sirenix Book, but she wasn't at all on board with the idea.' Bloom pulled out of the hug and wiped her eyes. 'It's in the Magic Archive; we're gonna go look for it now.'

'You want some help?' Roxy offered.

'I'm not sure Concorda would be on board with that...' Tecna said worriedly.

'Oh, I'm sure Concorda will be fine with it.' Musa brushed Tecna's concerns aside. 'We'd love your help, thanks, Roxy.'

'No problem.' Roxy grinned.

'But, before we go, has anyone seen Stella?' Musa looked around. 'She was supposed to be here...'

'She probably just got distracted,' Flora reassured her. 'I'm sure we'll run into her inside, probably with some new gossip.'

'Okay, let's go.' Bloom turned to the three boys. 'Guys, this is a pretty big job; we need you to make sure we're not disturbed.'

'You got it, Bloom.' Sky grinned at his girlfriend. 'Brandon and Helia are gonna wait out here, and I'll come to the Archive with you.'

'Great.' Everyone but Brandon and Helia set off inside the school.

'Helia!' Roxy looked behind her to see Crystal, one of the girls from her shuttle that morning, running up to the two guys. She noticed Flora watching her too, her green eyes sad and worried, though Roxy wasn't sure why.

'Oh my God!' Roxy stared up at the towering shelves of the Alfea Magic Archive. 'This place is incredible!'

Bloom smiled at Roxy's awe, before turning and calling out, 'Concorda? Are you here?'

There was a sound like the tinkling of bells, and a tiny being that Roxy realised must be a pixie came flying over.

'Bloom, how can I help you?'

'Concorda, we need to find the Sirenix Book.' Concorda furrowed her brow.

'The Sirenix Book?' Bloom nodded. 'I'm sorry, but I've never heard of it. It's not in the official records.' Bloom's face fell. 'Why are you looking for it?'

'We need to use it to earn Sirenix so we can save the Magic Dimension; my sister Daphne said it was here.'

'Well, I've never seen it, but that doesn't mean it isn't here,' Concorda admitted. 'You can look for it, though, if it's not in the official records, with all the books in here, it could take a while.'

'We don't mind,' Bloom replied.

'Well, good luck then.' Concorda turned to Roxy. 'Bloom, I believe you are yet to introduce me to your friend.'

'Oh!' Bloom grinned. 'Concorda, this is Roxy Wilde, the fairy we went to Earth to protect. Roxy, this is Concorda, keeper of the Alfea Magic Archive.'

'Nice to meet you, Roxy.' Concorda smiled amicably, and Roxy smiled back.

'Nice to meet you, too.'

'Concorda, do you have any idea where we should start looking?' Tecna asked. Concorda shook her head.

'I'm afraid not.'

'We could try looking under S,' Aisha suggested. 'For Sirenix.'

'Or F, for fat chance,' Musa muttered.

'A special book will be in a special place,' Bloom mused, getting up onto a star shaped platform.

'Bloom, this whole place seems pretty special.' Roxy followed Bloom onto the platform, gasping as it started to lift up into the air.

'That's why I'm going to perform a scan of the whole archive,' Tecna said, pressing several buttons on her cellphone and projecting a complicated-looking green hologram into the air. 'When this is complete, I'll be able to devise an algorithm to locate the Sirenix Book.'

'You guys!' Stella came pelting into the room, looking slightly out of breath.

'Stella!' Musa glared down at Stella from the platform she and Aisha were standing on. 'Where have you been?'

'You won't believe what I just heard!' Stella was practically overflowing with gossipy excitement.

'Unless you heard where the Sirenix Book is, I'm not interested.' Musa folded her arms.

Stella ignored Musa and continued. 'Roxy's new roommate, Naomi, just got into a fight with Princess Olivia of Aria! She's been sent to Miss Faragonda's office only two hours after the start of the year! That's a new school record!'

'Oh no,' Roxy murmured. She was supposed to be keeping an eye on Naomi! Two hours in, and the girl had already fought a princess and got sent to the headmistress' office. She felt Bloom's hand on her shoulder. 'I...I should go see what's happening...'

Bloom started to reply, but suddenly a dark storm-cloud shot into the archive and transformed into three witches Roxy recognised as the Trix!

'Hey, you guys!' Icy smirked sadistically. 'Looking for something to read?'

'The Trix,' Bloom growled.

'Hello, Winx!' Icy laughed maniacally.

'Did you miss us?' Darcy grinned.

Icy sent a bolt of ice flying straight for the platform Bloom and Roxy were standing on, and Roxy screamed as she plummeted towards the floor.

'Roxy!' Bloom grabbed her wrist just in the nick of time, clinging to the platform. 'Aisha! Musa!' Aisha and Musa's platform had been similarly hit, and the two girls were now clinging to a small outcropping.

'Bloom!' Sky drew his sword and ran towards Icy.

'Prince Sky! New hair?' Icy hurled deadly shards of ice at Sky, and he barely managed to use his sword to stop them.

'Hold on, Roxy!' Bloom heaved Roxy back up onto the platform.

'Well, well, Bloom!' Roxy stepped back as Icy flew up to the platform. 'Who's this?'

'Leave her alone, Icy!' Bloom stood between Roxy and Icy.

'Let me pretend to carefully consider that.' Icy furrowed her brow, then broke into a sadistic grin. 'Nope! Ice shards!' Roxy threw her arms up as icicles shot towards her.

'Roxy!' Bloom grabbed her arm and pulled her to the ground, gasping as one of the icicles sliced across her arm.

'Bloom!' Bloom was clutching her arm and grimacing.

'Well, look who's here!' Roxy looked down to see Stormy hovering over Helia and Brandon.

'Flora!' Helia started to run towards his girlfriend, who had been knocked to the ground.

'Helia, look out!' Flora cried, and Helia turned just in time to get hit in the stomach by the attack Darcy had just thrown at him. 'Helia!'

Roxy stared in horror, but had to quickly turn her attention back to the ice witch above her.

'Well, who'd have guessed?' Icy smirked at Bloom. 'After all the years of trying to destroy you, this is how it ends. If I wasn't so utterly sick of you, I'd almost be disappointed. Endless Blizzard!'

Roxy grabbed Bloom's non-injured arm and leapt off the platform and onto a lower one just seconds before Icy's attack obliterated where they'd been standing.

'Bloom, are you okay?' Roxy looked worriedly at the deep gash on Bloom's arm.

'I'm fine, Roxy. It's just a scratch. Right now, we need to stop the Trix. Winx! Transform! Magic Winx! Enchantix!' There was a flash of light and Bloom was wearing her blue Enchantix dress and sporting a pair of wings. Corresponding flashes of light told Roxy that the other Winx had likewise transformed. Now, it was her turn.

'Roxy, magic, transform!' She flew up into the air as soon as she had her wings; no way was she falling off another platform.

'Aw, she's base-level!' Icy cackled hysterically. 'That's adorable!'

Roxy had had just about enough of these witches.

'If I remember correctly, Bloom and the Winx kicked your ass when they were base-level, Icy!' Icy's smirked dropped, replaced with cold fury.

'How dare you! Ice shards!'

'Crystal shell!' Roxy was knocked back several metres by the force of the attack, but her shield held. 'Please. You think you're the first super-villains I've faced? No way.' She smirked slightly. 'Though you are the most annoying.'

Icy snarled. 'Who the heck are you?'

'Roxy, Fairy of Animals. Though, I don't think you should be so worried about my name when Bloom is behind you charging up an attack.'

'Wha-?' Icy whipped around to see Bloom throwing a fiery ball of magic right at her.

'Dragon Fury!'

'Aaah!' Icy slammed into the far wall, looking slightly singed.

'Enchanted Morphix!' Aisha bound Icy with sticky pink plasma.

'Grr! It's always the same old thing with you Winx, isn't it?'

Aisha folded her arms. 'Why mess with what works?'

Icy smirked. 'Let's see if you still think that after seeing our upgrade.' Icy glowed black and green, and the plasma froze and shattered, turning into deadly little shards that flew across the Magic Archive.

'Whoa!' Bloom flung up a shield and Aisha and Roxy ducked behind it, narrowly avoiding getting sliced by the shards.

'Stormy!' Icy yelled down to where her sisters were fighting Musa, Tecna, Stella, Brandon and Sky. Helia and Flora were nowhere to be seen.

'Yeah?'

Icy smirked. 'Give these Winx some reading material!'

'Ooh, fun!' Stormy raised her arms and every book in the Archive flew off the shelves, spinning around in a sudden tornado. While most of the books continued to spin, Stormy used magic to gather some of them, and Roxy watched with dread as the books transformed into two giant dragons.

'Okay, Fairy of Animals.' Icy smirked at her. 'Let's see how you get on with those.' One of the dragons roared and shot straight for Roxy, and she flew away as fast as her wings could carry her, ducking behind an outcropping as the dragon blew a powerful gust of wind right at her.

'Roxy!' Bloom exclaimed.

'Oh, don't worry about her, Bloom. You've got plenty of your own problems to deal with!' Icy hurled a ball of ice at Bloom, and the fire fairy was forced to fly away.

'Crystal Shell!' Roxy's shield barely held up against the dragon's attacks. She tried to create a mental connection with it, but it was just books! There was no mind to connect with! Roxy screamed as the dragon threw itself against her shield, cracking it, and blew a gust of wind, sending her hurtling towards the ground.

'Magic Winx! Enchantix! Green Luxuriant Ivy!' Roxy felt herself get caught by strong green vines, and she looked behind her to see Flora in her Enchantix form.

'You okay, Roxy?' Flora ran over as the vines gently set Roxy down.

'I'm fine. Thanks, Flora.'

Flora smiled weakly, then frowned as she looked at the battle. 'I can't believe how strong the Trix are! They should be much weaker after all their time in prison!'

Roxy thought for a moment. '...Maybe Tritannus gave them a power boost, like the wizards did with Mitzi.'

'Of course!' Flora exclaimed. 'That must be it!' She looked at the dragons. 'I've been in the hall with Helia and Crystal, so I haven't seen the whole fight; where did the Trix get dragons?'

Roxy frowned. 'Darcy transformed some of the books.'

To Roxy's surprise, Flora smiled. 'In that case, I've got an idea. Can you cover me?' Roxy nodded, and the two fairies flew into the battle.

Stormy popped up in front of them, flanked by one of the dragons. 'Where do you think you're going?'

'Mystic Talons!' Roxy cried, sending sharp bolts of magic flying at Stormy, who had to fly out of the way, while the dragon roared and sent another gust of wind at her and Flora.

'Crystal Shell! Whatever you're gonna do, Flora, I'd suggest doing it now!'

'Return to Nature!' Flora cried, and the dragon glowed green for a second before transforming back into a pile of books.

'Laser Cage!' Tecna trapped the other dragon. 'Flora! Over here!'

'Return to Nature!' The other dragon was rapidly taken care of.

'No!' Icy yelled.

'Dragon Fury!' Bloom sent another attack at Icy, but the ice witch froze the orb and threw it to the ground.

'Frostbite!' Bloom screamed as Icy's attack hit her square in the chest, a thin white frost spreading over her body as she landed hard on one of the platforms.

'Bloom!' Sky yelled from on one of the other platforms.

Icy cackled. 'So long, Bloom!' Time seemed to stand still as a ball of ice shot towards Bloom.

'Bloom! No!' Sky leapt between Bloom and the attack, and Roxy screamed as he was hit and plummeted towards the deadly stone floor below.

Naomi had been sitting in the chair outside Faragonda's office for what felt like centuries. It had actually probably only been about fifteen minutes, but she was in a bad mood and felt like a little hyperbole.

Olivia had gone in before her, probably to continue telling her innocent-little-fairy-princess story to Faragonda. It was a real travesty that someone like that was going to rule over a kingdom one day just because they'd had the good fortune to be born.

The office door opened and Olivia flounced out, shooting Naomi a mean little smirk as she walked off, probably to go buy more hair products.

'Miss Hunter?' Grizelda poked her head around the door. Naomi raised an eyebrow. 'Please come in.' Naomi got up and stalked into the office, throwing herself down into a chair opposite the headmistress and folding her arms.

'Hello.' Faragonda smiled warmly at her. Naomi gave her a stony glare, but the headmistress seemed unfazed. 'It's Naomi, isn't it.' Naomi gave a curt nod. 'I understand you attacked Olivia Silvers.' Naomi nodded again. 'Why?' Naomi was slightly surprised by the question.

'Huh?'

'I asked why you attacked Olivia.'

Naomi shrugged. 'You already talked to Olivia; I'm sure she gave you a complete account.'

Faragonda pursed her lips. 'Yes, she did give me an account of what happened, but since I do not believe Olivia is capable of seeing inside your brain, I would like to hear your motivations from you.' When Naomi stayed silent, she raised an eyebrow. 'You seem surprised I want to hear from you.'

'...Well, yeah.'

'Why?'

'Because if it's my word against hers, you're gonna take hers.'

'And why would I do that?'

'Because...because she's a fairy princess and I'm the daughter of the super-villains your prize pupils just defeated.'

'As far as I'm aware, neither of those things impact one's ability to discuss one's motives.' She cocked her head. 'Am I wrong? From what I have heard of them, the wizards seemed to be intelligent enough people, so I would be surprised if they didn't raise you to be able to speak your mind. So, why did you attack Olivia? Because I find it hard to believe that you just decided to tackle her for absolutely no reason.'

Naomi looked down. 'She...she said some...unpleasant things. She called me a...shapeshifting freak.'

Faragonda frowned. 'That is certainly not acceptable language.'

'And she...brought up my family.' Faragonda gestured for her to continue. 'She asked why I was here instead of frozen in Omega with the rest of my family.' Faragonda's frown deepened. 'I wouldn't have done anything at that point, but then she amended the sentence to...why was I here instead of frozen in Omega or...' She swallowed hard. '...dead, like the rest of my family.'

'I see,' Faragonda murmured. 'And then you lost control?'

Naomi nodded. 'Miss Faragonda, I just need you to know, shifting and tackling Olivia...that's not a raised by the Wizards of the Black Circle thing. That's a me thing. If they were around, they wouldn't exactly be thrilled about it either.'

'Well, they'd be right.' Grizelda folded her arms. 'Your behaviour was unacceptable, Miss Hunter. We will have to discuss a suitable punishment-'

Naomi sat bolt-upright as her sensitive ears picked up a shrill scream from across the school. That had sounded like...Roxy!

'Naomi, don't worry, it will probably just be a detention...' Faragonda trailed off as Naomi leapt out of her chair and bolted out of the office after the sound. 'Naomi! Naomi, we're not done here!' Naomi heard Faragonda and Grizelda hurrying after her, but she ignored them in favour of trying to tune into the hum of noise she could hear coming from the other end of the school. She picked up yelling, and a lot of it. Endless Blizzard! That was a magical attack; had to be! There was a battle going on in the school!

Magic Winx! Enchantix! The Winx were fighting; no surprises there. But who were they fighting? Thinking back to the conversation she'd eavesdropped on earlier, and the attack name she'd heard, Naomi was willing to bet it was the Trix. She didn't know much about the trio of witches, but she'd come across a few articles mentioning them when she'd looked up the Winx after her family had started fighting them.

Naomi ducked around fairies, wondering whether it was some kind of school tradition to just randomly stand around in hallways on the first day of school.

She heard a roar, followed by someone shouting 'Return to Nature', and she turned a corner to see a open door at the end of the corridor, through which she could see the Winx transformed and fighting.

There were more shouted attacks, followed by someone screaming 'No!'. Naomi pelted down the hall.

'Dragon Fury!'

'Frostbite!' Naomi winced as someone uttered a piercing scream.

'Bloom!'

'So long, Bloom!'

'Bloom, no!' Naomi ran into the room just in time to see Prince Sky get hit by a ball of ice and hurtle towards the ground. Someone screamed. As the specialist plummeted towards certain death, Naomi didn't think, she just flung her hand out and yelled, 'Transmutation!'

A stream of pink energy shot from her hand to the floor below Sky, and when he hit the ground, to everyone's shock, he bounced a few times, before sitting up and staring at the floor in amazement.

'Sky!' Brandon ran over and knelt next to his friend.

'What is going on in here?' Faragonda and Grizelda ran in behind Naomi and stared at the scene in front of them.

'Faragonda and Grizelda?' Icy looked worriedly at the headmistress. 'Let's get out of here, Trix. Until next time, Winx!' The three witches vanished in a puff of dark smoke.

'Is everyone alright?' Grizelda asked.

Aisha and Musa flew down carrying Bloom between them. The redhead was covered in a thin layer of frost, and there was a deep gash on her right arm.

'Bloom!' Faragonda rushed forward. 'Oh my! Are you okay?'

'Sky...' Bloom murmured, turning her head to look at her boyfriend.

'Sky's okay, Bloom,' Roxy reassured her. 'Naomi did something to the floor, and he's okay.' As Roxy said Naomi's name, Aisha's head snapped up to look at the pink-haired fairy standing in the doorway, her expression hardening as they made eye-contact.

Not wanting to wait for the other Winx to really take notice of her, Naomi turned and slipped away from the scene, unnoticed by Faragonda and Grizelda, who were focused on finding out exactly what had happened and assessing injuries.

'We need to take Bloom, Sky and Helia to the infirmary,' she heard Faragonda say. 'Aisha, can you make some stretchers?'

Roxy flew down to land next to where Aisha and Musa were supporting Bloom, gently reassuring her friend that Sky was fine.

'Naomi did something to the floor, and he's okay.' Roxy stared at the floor where Sky had landed, then lifted her gaze to the doorway. Naomi was standing just outside the room, and as she watched, her roommate turned and walked away. She considered going after her, but Faragonda and Grizelda wanted to ask all of them what had happened.

As the teachers started to move Bloom, Sky and Helia to the infirmary, Roxy walked over to where Sky had landed, crouching and pressing her hand into the flagstone. To her surprise, her hand pushed into the stone, springing back like she was pushing a trampoline. She moved her hand across by a few stones, and felt hard, cold, rock. If Sky had hit that, he'd be dead for sure. Naomi had saved his life. Definitely not what she would've expected of the daughter of the Wizards of the Black Circle.

'Roxy, c'mon.' Musa waved for Roxy to follow her and the others, and Roxy stood and de-transformed.

'Coming.'

Roxy paced back and forth in the hall outside the infirmary. How long did it take to check three people over? It had already been...Her gaze drifted up to the clock on the wall...seven minutes! Okay, so maybe it hadn't actually been that long, but still! Was Bloom okay? Was Sky? And Helia? Sure, they'd all made it through worse (She was pretty sure Sky had actually died once), but that didn't stop her from worrying.

She spun around so quickly she almost tripped as the nurse opened the infirmary door.

'Winx? Brandon?' Everyone looked worried. 'They're fine; you can see them now.' Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief, and Flora bolted out of her chair and into the infirmary, closely followed by the others.

'Helia!' Flora threw her arms around her boyfriend, who was sitting on a hospital bed.

'Hey!' Helia hugged her back. 'Flora, I'm fine. Crystal's magic worked perfectly.' Flora didn't seem satisfied, taking his face in her hands and inspecting it. 'Flora; seriously, I'm fine.' Helia gently removed her hands and kissed her.

Roxy breathed a sigh of relief that Helia was okay; Darcy's spell had looked painful, and she'd had a few doubts about Crystal's healing powers.

Sky was sitting across the infirmary, and Brandon was checking him over almost as thoroughly as Flora had checked Helia.

Roxy walked over to Bloom, who thankfully seemed to be okay. Her arm was bandaged, but the frost had vanished. She guessed that ice attacks weren't actually that dangerous to the Fairy of the Dragon Flame.

'Bloom!' She quickly hugged her friend. 'You okay?'

'My arm's a little sore, but it'll heal soon. You did a great job back there, Roxy.' Roxy flushed at the older fairy's praise. Bloom furrowed her brow. 'What exactly happened? With Sky, I mean. I was down, so I only saw him fall. You said something about Naomi?'

'Yeah. Naomi ran in just as Sky fell, and she cast some kind of spell on the floor. When I touched it afterwards, it felt kinda like...a trampoline.'

'A trampoline?'

'Uh-huh. When Sky hit it, he bounced.' Roxy was quiet for a minute. '...Naomi saved his life.'

Bloom bit her lip. 'Well now I feel worse about what I said back at the dorms. Why would she save him?'

Roxy sighed. 'I don't know. She's...confusing. She's the daughter of the Wizards of the Black Circle, but she saved Sky. Bloom, I don't know what to think, other than that I'm in over my head here.' Bloom squeezed Roxy's shoulder sympathetically.

'Maybe you should try talking to her.'

'I tried. I've tried to talk to her, but she just ignores me.' Roxy sighed.

'Well, I guess you just have to keep trying.' Roxy raised an eyebrow.

'That's all you got?' Bloom shrugged.

'Pretty much. I'm the Fairy of the Dragon Flame, not of befriending shapeshifting fairies.' Roxy snickered, and Bloom smiled. 'At the risk of sounding clichéd, just be yourself. Sooner or later, I'm sure she'll trust you enough to open up a little.'

Miss Grizelda walked into the infirmary.

'Alright, it's almost curfew. Boys, as it's late, you may stay here overnight and head back to Red Fountain in the morning.'

'Miss Grizelda?' Bloom raised her hand.

'Yes, Bloom?'

'I'm feeling much better, so may I go back to my own room?' Grizelda looked over at the nurse, who nodded.

'Well, alright. Winx, please walk back with Bloom and make sure she goes straight to bed.'

'Of course, Miss Grizelda.' Tecna helped Bloom up, despite the redhead's assertions that she was fine, and perfectly capable of walking on her own.

Roxy walked back to the dorms with the Winx, occasionally joining in with their conversation about the Trix and Tritannus, and how they were going to find the Sirenix Book, but her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Naomi.

'Goodnight, Winx.' Roxy waved tiredly to the Winx as she headed up the stairs to her room, the exhaustion from the fight finally starting to hit her.

'Naomi?' she called as she opened the door, looking around for her roommate. There was no reply, but she could hear water running in the bathroom.

She raised her hand to knock on the bathroom door, but lowered it again and opened her dresser, pulling out a pair of green pyjamas patterned with pink paw-prints and getting changed.

As she finished pulling her shirt on, the bathroom door opened and Naomi walked out, dressed in a black t-shirt and cropped trousers, her hair damp.

'Hey...' Roxy waved awkwardly. Naomi looked over disinterestedly. '...That was really amazing, what you did back at the Archive.' Naomi didn't respond. '...Why did you save Sky?'

Naomi rolled her eyes and climbed into bed. 'My motivations aren't really any of your business, princess.' She clicked off her bedside lamp, shrouding her side of the room in darkness.

'Oh...' Roxy stared uncomfortably at the floor. 'Well...Thanks.' There was no reply from the other side of the room. Roxy got into bed and turned out her own light. '...Goodnight, Naomi.'

So we just saw a whole new side to Naomi. And, yeah, I'm not having Sky lose his memories. I didn't love that storyline in the show, and it wouldn't have been relevant to this story, so I cut it.

As for Olivia, turns out that not even magical fairy schools are free of mean girls, unfortunately for everyone, especially Naomi. But on the plus side, we got to see Roxy being totally awesome in a fight against the Trix!

Next chapter, school is in session. Thank you everyone for reading, and please favourite and review! If there are any Alfea students from seasons 1 through 4 that you would like to see cameo (like Khadija, Alice and Clarice did), please let me know in a review and I'll try to make it happen! Alternatively, if you want to come up with a OC for Roxy and Naomi's freshman class, just put their description in a review and I'll see about including them (though I can't guarantee they'll do much).
