Ch.48
They didn't stay in the hospital for long. Ron had already healed all damage the surgery had done and Shego was dressed. After the ashes of Rufus and their child were brought, they left the hospital and headed to the airport, their next destination Japan.
The flight was uneventful, Shego spent it cradling the ashes and holding Ron's hand. Upon landing Ron took the lead and hailed a taxi. Getting in he directed the driver to the train station and sat back to wait. A train ride out of the city, a couple hours hiking and they were at the entrance of Yamanouchi.
Sensei stood there seemingly waiting for them. Shego wasn't surprised, there was very little information that Sensei couldn't get his hands on. They bowed to each other in greeting and spoke in english for her benefit.
"I wish your visit was under better circumstances." Sensei declared.
Shego swallowed back a sob and said. "So do I Sensei."
Sensei guided them to a room that was by the cherry blossom tree. The same tree that accompanied Yori. As for her wishes she had been cremated and her ashes buried under the cherry blossom tree.
Sensei asked the details of what happened and Ron proceeded to summarized what happened. The only time he struggled to explain was when he mentioned Rufus and the child. Even the torture of Senior was explained without a hint of remorse just a brief instant of bloodlust. Sensei listened from beginning to end offering no judgement or reprimand for Ron's actions, simply accepting them.
"I see." Sensei finally said once Ron finished explaining.
Shego took a deep breath and asked for the final hope she had left. "Sensei can you help Ron go back to his normal self?"
Sensei looked at Ron deeply for a while before shaking his head. Ever since he was turned evil his eyes remained blue and Shego knew Ron was honing his Ki. He was a drawn blade in a battlefield and only blood would sate his thirst.
"Let's put Rufus and our child to rest." Ron said and Shego nodded.
Sensei accompanied the to the cherry blossom tree where Ron and Shego kneeled and began digging with their hands. When they were satisfied with the depth Shego picked up the ashes and opened the lid of the metal container.

Shego didn't know when she started crying but as she poured the ashes into the hole her tears joined them. Then softly, as if she were tucking them in bed she slid the dirt over them and laid them to rest. Shego cried the rest of the day and night, Sensei and Ron never leaving her side.
Shego and Ron spent three weeks at Yamanouchi, then it was time to go hunting as per Ron's desires.
Jack Hench was their first target. Then man was a businessman and there was only so long he was willing to step away from the office. Shego convinced Ron to hold off burning the company to the ground long enough to steal everything they had on the Attitudedinator. Then everything was up for grabs.
Ron spent an hour planning his attack, then we infiltrated. Shego had one word to describe the process, easy. An employee went out to lunch and lost his ID card, a swipe here then there and they were in shipping. A couple of commands into a computer later and Hench Co deliveries for the week went missing. Next they went to the RnD department and set every prototype and doomsday machine into a controlled firing sequence that would leave Hench Co a crater. When the impending destruction was realized that cleared out the personnel and gave Shego and Ron free access to Jack Hench's office. Not twenty minutes later the assets of Hench Co and anyone involved with it were transferred into their bank accounts leaving them penniless. That done, they went to a safe distance and watched Hench Co dissapear.
Jack Hench showed an hour later with twenty molecular enhanced henchmen. The man looked to be in shock as he walked around the crater. Ron didn't wait any longer and faded out, beginning his attack with Shego right behind him. Turned out her assistance was not needed as Ron simply cut down the henchmen and knockout and knocked out Jack Hench, tossing him into his own car. Ron got in after him and the screams started.
Shego waited outside making sure that none of the police and spectators got close. It was three hours later when the screams stopped and Ron, bathed in blood, came out of the car.
Their hunt continued as they went after the villains one by one. After the Fashionistas, Gill, Camile Leon and the Mather, they found DNAmy. When they found DNAmy at Monkey Fist's castle the woman put a ferocious fight. She had transformed into a gorilla and seemed hellbent on cracking time travel. Upon seeing them she demanded they hand over the Tempus Simia which Shego filled for later. The fight was bloody and even Shego helped Ron cut down the waves of mutated beasts.
With bodies all over the place, missing her left arm and her face half melted off, DNAmy refused to stop fighting. They eventually beat her, cutting off her other arm and a leg, then the torture started. Shego had tried to talk Ron out of the torturing but all he said was 'they need to understand'. So here she was, bearing witness to the consequences of the villains actions.
Considering DNAmy's wound Shego almost hoped the torture would be fast but she turned out to be a fighter. She kept focused on her task insulting Ron and demanding for the Tempus Simia, promising that with it she could fix everything. Just when Shego finally wanted to know more, DNAmy finally died.
"Ron why did you bring the monkey statue with us that day?" Shego asked unable to hold her curiosity.
"Felt a pull from it." Ron replied.
"Give me an hour to see what I can find out." Shego said moving to the pile of schematics and scrolls.
The schematics being beyond her and possibly a bit of gibberish, Shego settled for the scrolls. Forty minutes of going through the scrolls she realized one problem, they weren't translated. Cursing Shego decided to bring them with her.

It was two years later when they paid Drakken a visit. To their surprise he was accompanied by Kim Possible and the new 'Partner', though Ron was always a sidekick. Shego hoped for a split second that their friendship would snap the old Ron back but he was entirely focused on Josh Mankey, Kim's partner.
"Princess you really shouldn't get involved. You don't know what they've done and Ron is not the the Ron you knew anymore." Shego advised.
"Shut it you bitch, this is all your fault!" Screamed Kim. "If you hadn't sunk your claws into him none of this would have happened. Ron wouldn't be wanted by numerous countries around the world and he wouldn't have left me!"
Shego stared and even Josh turned his head to look at Kim but Ron showed no reaction at all focused on Josh's every move.
Ron's voice reached Shego accompanied by a wave of bloodlust. "I'm taking Josh down, keep Kim out of the way."
Shego wanted to ask why, Mankey wasn't why they were here but chose to listen for now, nodding.
The second she nodded Ron was across the room and closing on Mankey. Ron was impossibly fast, his swords at the ready and if Shego wasn't seeing things he was getting faster. Kim tried to bar Ron's way but he simply raced past her like she wasn't even there.
"Josh look out!" Yelled Kim then asked Ron. "Why are you attacking him?"
Ron didn't bother answering and Kim already began perusing him. As much as Shego wanted to know why she didn't stop to ask, launching a few plasma balls at Kim to intercept her, she began her attack. Shego attacked Kim with the intent to bring her out of the fight as quickly as possible. Ron was acting strangely and Shego needed to have his back.
Kim was wearing her battlesuit so the plasma throwing would be a demerit from here on but it got her attention. Kim turned to Shego, her anger plain to see and disappeared from sight. Kim expected Shego to panic but Shego had gone over countermeasures for invisible foes with Ron. Reaching into her leg pocket, Shego brought out a few paint pellets. The next part always sucked, she had to be hit but Shego at least guessed where Kim would hit her. The face, Kim had always hit to the face when she was angry. Clenching her teeth Shego took the expected hit, probably a right punch and countered with a paint pellet.
Her attack struck Kim in the chest, spraying the area green. With a target, Shego took the initiative to attack paint pellets still in hand, she might see Kim's torso but her hands and feet were the threat. The strike aiming for Kim's chest was blocked and Shego threw another pellet at what out to be an arm but misjudged its location hitting Kim in the face. Miss or hit the effect was great as Kim wiped at her face exposing an opening and both her hands. Shego didn't miss it, she threw every paint pellet at Kim and attacked right after. Shego went for a chokehold, pinning Kim to the ground and taking a look at Ron's fight.
What she saw was outstanding, Josh was surprisingly holding on against Ron in terms of strength though his speed was falling behind. Ron was still speeding up and his bloodlust covered the area like rain. Shego looked for the telltale signs of a battlesuit but saw nothing that gave it away. It should have been impossible for the seemingly normal Mankey to keep up with Ron, though Ron had yet to use Ki in the fight his body had been exponentially strengthened by it.
As Shego watched she relaxed her hold on Kim ever so slightly, giving Kim an opening to activate her shield. The shield threw Shego across the room and she berated herself for loosing focus. Shego knew about the shield yet she'd given Kim enough time to think to use it. Although a quick knockout was not an option anymore at least the paint made going invisible pointless.
Getting off the floor Shego continued the fight with Kim. Kim seemed to be intent on beating Shego at the moment, solving Shego's worry that she'd interfere in Ron's fight. Though the redhead seemed to have also missed her new partner accomplishing an unbelievable feat.
Shego kept attacking Kim in an exchange of punches and kicks, occasionally activating her plasma to drain the battlesuit's power supply. Still, Shego was taking some hard hits thanks to Kim's hit and run style and was going to wake up with a few bruises in the morning. Taking another hit, this time to the jaw, Shego kneed Kim's solar plexus. Seeing Kim turn on her shield to catch her breath, Shego brought out the plasma to drain the power supply. Kim seemed to have finally panicked a bit and started to look around, when she spotted Josh's fight her request for help died in her throat. Their fight that impressive but more unbelievable than Ron's level of skill was Josh's.
Just when Kim thought she wouldn't be surprised anymore, Josh pulled out a highly modified lazer gun, firing and forcing Ron to open some distance between the two. Kim's gasp in the silence was like thunder as even Shego looked up finally seeing what surprised her. It was the same gun the hooded figure carried with him, the same gun that killed Yori. From Kim's trembling Shego knew she connected the dots.
"Josh?" Kim said unsure.
Josh ignored her and asked Ron. "What gave me away loser?"
Ron didn't answer, simply reaching into his pocket and bringing out the cylinder that extended at will. Shego knew Ron was done testing the opponent out and was moving in for the kill, judging from the style he was about to use.
Kim finally started crying, realizing that her boyfriend and the person who once nearly killed her were one and the same.
Shego finally understood some things. Why Ron's bloodlust practically burst out when he saw Josh, he read his aura connecting Josh to the hooded figure. Why Josh was able to hold on against Ron, he was probably enhanced through science or other means. Seeing Kim was probably not going to fight anymore Shego flared her plasma and got ready to attack but Ron moved to stand between her and Josh, message clear, I'll handle him. Reluctantly accepting for now Shego retracted her plasma.
Ron confirmed that Shego accepted and moved in for the attack. He first let go of the cylinder and telekineticaly began manipulating it. Extending and retracting the cylinder to simulate thrusts, Ron closed the distance. Shego's eyes barely followed Ron, his movements almost reaching the limits that her eyes could percieve. Ron going on the offensive was a scary thing to witness even for Shego. His speed, precision and waves of attacks were like fighting multiple opponents.
Josh's demeanor showed the pressure he was under. As Ron approached he fired a few shots to slow him down but they proved ineffective. When Ron finally closed in on him he brought out a knife and started firing shots faster and faster just to keep from being overwhelmed by Ron. This too proved useless as Ron blocked with the staff or evaded them altogether. Josh's knife started chipping as Ron attacked with the sword. Ron was in constant motion, attacking every opening if there was any or creating them by attacking multiple places at once. Wounds started appearing on Josh, his face distorting into desperation little by little. Josh tried shooting Ron at point blank range by taking a stab to the arm but failed as Ron channeled Ki into the sword and cut off half of Josh's arm and the gun, the fight was over.
"Ron don't!" Kim had snapped from her shock when she saw this.
Ron didn't stop, he continued attacking till Josh was nothing but a head, then roared loud enough to shake dust from the ceiling. Kim still went after Ron, to do what Shego didn't know but Ron simply jabbed a few pressure points and knocked her out.

Drakken managed to avoid them for another week with the help of GJ till Ron decided to burn the organization to the ground. Shego thought it would have been hard but Ron simply hacked his way into their systems and found their locations. They then attacked each base and demolished them from the inside. Ron didn't forget to take their funds as he crippled them. When they got to the GJ headquarters, Betty Director tried to compromise, offering to hand over Drakken if Ron would only return their funds. Ron simply attacked. An hour later they brought a crying Drakken out. Shego thought to spare Drakken the torture on account of their history so she had Ron simply behead him.
After their revenge was over they dissapeared for a while.

They had spent six months in seclusion and from what Shego could tell Ron had no intention to do anything besides training, even becoming intimate with her seemed beyond him.
Shego for her part continued translating the scrolls they got at Monkey Fist's castle and working on having an Attitudedinator built. So far she had little success, all she knew was that the monkey statue was called Tempus Simia translated as time monkey but had no idea how it was used. It must have been how the villains knew that Ron would always stop them, they'd gone to the future and seen it themselves. Now thanks to that knowledge they were dead.
It was all calm in the house they were at, till Ron walked into the study and turned on the news. He said nothing and let her digest what she was seeing. There stood an eight to ten feet tall green skinned alien calling herself Warmonga, demanding to see the great blue. Beside her was projected a video of Drakken from when he participated in America Star Maker. When it was explained that her great blue was killed six months prior, she demanded to face the warrior responsible within the hour or she'd destroy one of their cities. By the time Ron was notified by Sensei three cities had been destroyed and the world's military had lasted all but three minutes to her war machines. Even now cities continued to fall.
"We have to face her." Shego announced.
Ron looked at Shego for a moment before nodding and going to get ready. Shego followed suit and in minutes they were in the hangar with Shego ready to pilot their hypersonic hovercraft. They found Warmonga easily since she waited in the same place for them. Leaving the hovercraft in stealth mode a mile away, they went on Shego's hoverboard the rest of the way.
Warmonga didn't seem surprised by their arrival and simply asked. "Were you the one that defeated the great blue."
"I was." Said Ron looking her in the eyes.
"I, Warmonga, demand the right to challenge you in combat." She screamed.
"Your death." Ron said agreeing.
The fight started as soon as Ron agreed with Warmonga throwing a wicked looking spear. Ron took out the staff and deflected the spear before letting it go as he jumped down. Ron was going all out from the start it seemed. As they fought the area around them was getting destroyed, any landmarks were replaced by craters as the force of their blows spread. Shego hadn't seen Ron use so much force before, surprising her that he could. Warmonga seemed equally surprised, hitting a button on her wrist that called her weapon back to her. Ron didn't wait, using the staff he kept her weapon away while he attempted to cut down Warmonga. His attacks ineffective as she activated a shield.
Ron pulled back his staff allowing Warmonga to get her weapon to see if it'll get her to drop the shield. Seeing her do so, he drew forth more Ki, it wrapping around him like a blue monkey, the staff at the tip of the tail. Lightning flickered and Ron levitated off the ground, while monkey howling was heard.
"Great blue!" Warmonga called out before dropping to her knees, her body trembling. "Stop, I was wrong!"
"How you call me matters not, stop your war machines." Ron demanded.
Warmonga pressed a few buttons at her wrist and said. "It is done."
"Good." Ron said before promptly beheading her.
Every choice has consequences. Ron's did too. Three months later an armada invaded the earth. They took no prisoners. Earth's population dropped to a few hundred thousand in a day and Ron continued going from one battle to the next. He was unbeatable but the rest of the planet suffered. The Lowardians, as they called themselves, hunted down every human and animal, burning every plant life they could find. When they found no one left, their mightiest warriors came daily to challenge Ron, none returned. Then one day Ron didn't return.

Shego sat in her bed looking at and older version of herself. One who upon intruding in her home proceeded to promptly defeat her before telling her a story. Shego could tell the heartache her older self went through even though she didn't entirely believe her story.
"You're telling me this is our future?" Shego asked. "That I would end up with Ron, become pregnant but because of that statue it will all go down the drain? That we will loose everyone we care about even each other."
"Yes." Her older self replied.
"Then why are you here? You can travel through time, why not make it so that none of that happens." Shego demanded.
"I've tried." Her older self replies. "I took over the world, I made it so no one precious to me would be hurt. Then I watched as the Lowardians followed Drakken's lead and turned the world into rivers of blood. That's why I'm here. I thought maybe you could take the monkey statue and succeed where I failed. If you won't then I can only ask Ron."
"Wait!" Shego screamed thinking quickly and deciding that she couldn't let Ron take that burden. "I'll do it."
When her older self gave her the statue Shego turned and smashed it against the floor. A vortex with appeared in the roof of the room.
"Why did you break it?" Her older self asked.
"That statue was the reason everything went wrong." Shego said simply. "As the villains searched for it Yori died. When they had it you lost Ron and your child. The world would be better without it."
With a smirk her older self asked. "What if this destroys the world?"
"One way to know." Shego said watching as everything around her dissapeared.
