The Creepy Headmaster:

Raphael was not happy that Skyla had heard him play, Raphael turned and packed up his sheet music. Skyla picked up her lunch box from the floor and walked toward the stage.

"I'm sorry," said Skyla.

"How long have you been standing there?" Asked Raphael.

"Only a minute ago," said Skyla.

"You should not have heard that," said Raphael.

"But it was really beautiful," said Skyla.

"Forget it, okay," said Raphael.

Raphael walked off the stage and left the drama room.

In the meantime, Percy looked through the window into the headmaster's office, the door was open and Percy entered the office. Percy looked around and turned on his recorder.

"Location: School, part 2, the headmaster's office," said Percy.

Percy put on rubber gloves and began searching the desk, he picked up a stapler and pulled out his recorder again.

"Object found, a stapler, very usable to get fingerprints," said Percy.

Percy accidentally dropped the stapler from his hands, he picked it up off the floor and put it back on the desk.

"Note to self: Don't drop staplers, end to self," said Percy.

Percy continued his investigation and toward a portrait, the portrait showed a man who was around 60 years old, the man had gray thinning hair.

"Object, picture on the wall, there is a name under the frame, Hubert Danbury, conclusion he must be the headmaster," said Percy.

Percy looked around the office again and then sat a large object covered with a large black cloth.

"Suspicious object found, big glass thank with darkened window, lighting in the tank must be 100 Watt," said Percy as he walked closer to the tank. "Temperature is rising the closer I get."

There were strange sounds coming from the tank, that made Percy even more curious.

"Checking for life, I've to stop talking," said Percy.

Percy was about to remove the cloth, until he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"What are you doing here?" Asked a voice in a German accent.

In the meantime, Skyla sat in the drama room, she took Mouse out of her bag and set him down next to her.

"I don't know what I said. It must have been something stupid and I probably had a weird look on my face," said Skyla.

Skyla thought back to earlier and about Raphael's behavior and thought it was just strange that she hadn't been allowed to hear him play.

"But what does he mean with 'forget it?' He was playing so beautifully, Maybe he thought that I was eavesdropping on him? What do I've to say when I run into him? Or should I say nothing at all?" Asked Skyla.

Skyla also thought back to the voice she heard at the house and didn't get a good feeling about it.

"I don't want to go home," said Skyla. "That voice you heard it too, right?"

Percy thought the headmaster had caught him, he turned and saw it was Milo.

"What are you doing? Well?" Asked Milo, still in a German accent.

"Be quiet," said Percy.

"Why? Or are you on to something?" asked Milo.

"Maybe," said Percy.

"Can I join you? Can I join you?" Asked Milo. "Or are you afraid that I solve before you do?"

Milo took the recorder from Percy and turned it on and he heard Percy talking about the large glass tank that was covered with a cloth.

"This detective will solve it," said Milo.

"Just be quiet," said Percy.

Milo walked toward the tank and was about to remove the cloth. And at that same moment the headmaster entered his office

"What are you doing here?" Asked Mr. Danbury.

Percy and Milo turned around startled and saw the headmaster standing in the doorway, Milo was so startled that he had dropped Percy's recorder out of his hands.

At that same moment, Skyla walked down the hall and saw Anastacia standing and two men busy placing a white cabinet in a corner.

"A bit more back, yes, Is it standing straight? Okay, great," said Anastacia.

The men had placed the cabinet and left. Skyla walked toward Anastacia to see what was going on.

"What is that?" Asked Skyla.

"This is my locker," said Anastacia, as she opened her new locker.

"How did you get it?" asked Skyla.

"I had it delivered," said Anastacia.

"It's so..," said Skyla.

"Small? I know it's quite small, I can still switch it to a bigger model, I've to see about that," said Anastacia.

"What is going there?" Asked Skyla, as she pointed to a big empty space at the bottom.

"Here? The fridge," said Anastacia.

"Yes, dad, I did it," said Raphael, as he walked over the his locker, while he was talking to his dad on the phone.

"The fridge?" Asked Skyla.

"For my fresh smoothies, because show how they don't have them here," said Anastacia.

"Yes, dad I'm going home now. Yes, dad, I promise to study," said Raphael. "Yes, dad, I'll go through them twice, bye dad."

Raphael hung up his phone, he still looked at Skyla for a few seconds, but quickly walked past her.

"Oh no," said Skyla.

"Sorry?" Asked Anastacia.

"Too bad, you know too bad about your fridge, I mean," said Skyla.

"Yes," said Anastacia.

In the meantime, the principal had caught Percy and Milo in his office, he closed the door and walked toward them.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Mr. Danbury.

"We, we, we…," said Milo, but he couldn't come up with anything.

"Well?" Asked Mr. Danbury.

"We, we…," said Milo, but he still barley able to say anything.

"Speak," said Mr. Danbury.

"Milo Fletcher, sir, I'm a new student here," said Milo.

"I didn't ask you that," said Mr. Danbury.

"It wasn't my idea, it was his idea," said Milo pointing to Percy.

"We thought that we had to report here, it's our first day of school," lied Percy.

"Report, Mr. Beckett?" Asked Mr. Danbury.

The headmaster licked his hand and went through his hair with it, something Percy and Milo both found very gross.

"Weird, I thought you were snooping around," said Mr. Danbury.

"No, of course not, weren't snooping, I'm no snoop, in fact I don't even like snoopy the dog," said Milo.

"Be quiet Mr. Fletcher," said Mr. Danbury.

"Yes sir," said a very intimated Milo.

"We've to get books for tomorrow," said Percy.

"Make sure, that I never see you boys in here ever again," said Mr. Danbury. "Understood?"

Percy and Milo nodded their heads and fled out of the principal's office as fast as they could.

A few minutes later, Skyla and Anastacia were on their way home. Anastacia was talking, but Skyla wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying.

"I don't understand, a school without a swimming pool. No swimming pool! No, tennis court. Or was there a tennis court? No there wasn't a tennis court," said Anastacia. "There were no horses, no staff, not even a restaurant."

"That voice," said Skyla softly to herself.

"I believe that I've never been in room with that many people, ugh, wait I've at the country club, no that was outside," said Anastacia. "Well you know what I mean right?"

Skyla didn't pay attention to what Anastacia was saying and stopped walking, she thought back to the voice she heard in the house. Anastacia turned to Skyla and saw her staring ahead.

"Thingy are you listing?" Asked Anastacia.

"Yes, sorry," said Skyla.

"Well, what I was saying no restaurant, do you understand that? Do you have to bring your own lunch to school?" Asked Anastacia.

Skyla and Anastacia walked on to go home while Anastacia continued talking.

At the same time, Percy and Milo were still at school and standing outside the principal's office.

"Dude, what do you think is in that tank? Did you see something?" asked Milo. "I heard noises."

"I never said my name," said Percy.

"Monsters?" Asked Milo.

"How did he know my name? I never told him that," said Percy.

"What?" Asked Milo.

"I've to investigate it, said Percy, as he went in his pocket to grab his recorder but he couldn't find it. "Where is my recorder?"

"Oops," said Milo.

At the same time in the principal's office. Mr. Danbury had found Percy's recorder and grabbed it off the floor. Mr. Danbury sat down in his chair and turned on the recorder and so went to listen to everything Percy had recorded, his observations about the Anubis house, the school and about his fellow residents.

"You are very observant Mr. Beckett," said Mr. Danbury.

Percy and Milo stood in the hallway and Percy still wanted to know where his recorder was and Milo knew that Percy wasn't going to like the answer.

"Where is it?" Asked Percy.

"It kinda is still in the office of the headmaster, I believe," said Milo.

"What? We must get it back immediately," said Percy.

"Yeah, but how?" Asked Milo

"I need my recorder, I can't live without my recorder," said Percy.

"Dude, he is inside, he send us away, we're not allowed back in there," said Milo.

"You lost it, so you think of something," said Percy.

"Percy," said Milo

Percy ignored Milo and walked away angrily. Milo sighed deeply and had to figure out a way to get Percy's recorder back from the principal's office. Milo started walking down the hall

"You lost it, so you think of something. I don't want to go back to that scary office," said Milo. "Okay, think Milo, think. What would a real detective do?"

Milo walked into the drama room and saw all the costumes lying around and got an idea. Milo walked toward the costumes.

"He would put on a disguise," said Milo

Milo tried all different disguises but none were good enough, until he saw a suit hanging and he got an idea.

"Genius. Percy, you're getting your voice recorder back, I'll make sure of that," said Milo.

In the meantime, Skyla and Anastacia were already home. Anastacia was in the bathroom nursing her eye and Skyla was in the hallway downstairs talking on the phone with her mother.

"How are you sweetheart? Is it a beautiful house? How was your school day? Are the classes interesting? Asked Mrs. Tolliver.

"Yeah," said Skyla

"How did you like the library? Is it big? Beautiful? Are you allowed to rent everything?" Asked Mrs. Tolliver.

"Yes, I believe so," said Skyla.

"Good to hear. Everything is also going good here, your father is on his way back from Austria," said Mrs. Tolliver.

"Mum," said Skyla.

Skyla said nothing, she wanted to tell her mother about the voice she keeps hearing, but she doesn't know how to do it.

"Sweetheart, are you still there?" Asked Mrs. Tolliver.

"Yeah, sorry. Mum I've been hearing things again, it sounded like a voice," said Skyla.

"It's probably because you're in a new environment, don't you think, a new house?" Asked Mrs. Tolliver.

"No, mum, but it's" said Skyla.

"It's always like that in the beginning," said Mrs. Tolliver.

"Mum," said Skyla.

"Think about what your fathers always said, what you don't see..," said Mrs. Tolliver.

"Doesn't exist," said Skyla.

"Exactly, Maybe you should do something fun with one of your housemates, to get used to everything," said Mrs. Tolliver.

Yeah, okay," said Skyla.

"Bye sweetheart," said Mrs. Tolliver.

"Bye," said Skyla.

Skyla hung up the phone and walked toward the living room and thought about what her mother just said to her.

"What you don't see, doesn't exist," said Skyla to herself.

"Skyla."

Again Skyla heard the voice. Whose is that voice? What does the voice want from Skyla? And why can only Skyla hear the voice? And will Percy and Milo succeed in getting the recorder back? And what is Milo up to?
