To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes, I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes, she will. You won't be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.
As I write this chapter, you see Yugi talking to Atem. Since this is season 1, in this chapter, Yugi was asking Atem about the Black Luster Ritual on behalf of him and Paige.
If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!
I DONT OWN YUGIOH AT ALL! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND HER DUELING DECK!
Shoutouts:
RPMShadow-Thanks. Right now, I don't know if I'm going to make this a Atem/Tea Paring. I'm letting each episode for all 5 seasons take my imagination as far as it can go.
"The first match of these playoffs has come to a close." said Croquet. "Yugi Muto has emerged victorious over Mai Valentine. He will advance to the next round."
"All right! Yeah! Go Yugi! Way to go, Yugi!" cheered everyone, happy that Yugi was going to the finals.
"I wouldn't have won if not for your help…everyone's help." Yugi said to Yami when suddenly Pegasus starts clapping.
"Huh?" they said, turning their attention to Pegasus.
"Well done, Yugi. Superb duel." said Pegasus. "You certainly know how to put on a good show."
"What a creep." said Tristan.
"Not only that, but a weirdo at that." added Paige.
"Enjoy this while you can, Pegasus, 'cause the only reason why Paige and I are here is to rescue our grandpa." thought Yugi, glaring at the creator. "And once I beat you to get him back, you won't have anything to chuckle about."
"Hmm. Proceed." said Pegasus, sitting back down in his chair.
"The second match of these playoffs will begin shortly. Bandit Keith will battle Joey Wheeler." announced Croquet. "Prepare your decks."
"Me? Now?" asked Joey.
"No, tomorrow!" said Paige, sarcastically before giving him the Muto look. "Of course now, idiot!"
"Ehh!" groaned Joey, knowing very well when Paige gives him that look. "Boy, that was sure quick."
"Joey, you're going to do fine." said Bakura.
"Come on, don't worry." said Tea.
"Hmm? Thanks. Guess I'm kind of tense." said Joey.
"Yeah." said Tristan as he wraps his arm around Joey. "You got a few reasons to be. First off, look who you're going up against…..Bandit Keith, the intercontinental champion. I mean, the guy makes his living out of winning prize money from tournaments just like this one."
"Tristan, don't psych him out." said Paige.
"I'm not." he tells her. Yugi walks out of the arena and lets out a sigh of relief.
"Yugi." said Joey.
"Huh?"
"What…oh. Hey, Joey. What's up?" he asked. "Are you okay?"
"Yugi, if I win this, then we're next." said Joey. "You dueling against me. What do you think about that?"
"I think we can look forward to an honorably fought match." said Yugi.
"Huh?" gasped Joey, then smiled. "Nice call. Then you give it your best, and I'll give it mine, and we'll stay best friends no matter what."
"Hmm." Yugi said, nodding. Joey pushes the double doors open and walks into the arena with his head held high.
"Yeah! There's our man!" Tristan called out as Yugi joins him and the others in the wings.
"Go, Joey!" shouted Tea.
"You got this, Joey!" shouted Paige.
"Hah! Huh?" Joey looked over across the arena and sees that Bandit Keith wasn't there.
"Whats the deal?" asked Joey. "Where's Keith?"
Bandit Keith was sitting on a couch in the wings, yawning. "What time is it?" he asked.
"Yit! What are you doing? Get over here." said Joey.
"Hey, chill out." Bandit Keith said to Joey. "The pummeling will commence as soon as I'm good and ready, so don't get your briefs in a bunch. You got that, blondie?"
"Stall as long as you want, Keith, but you're gonna have to duel me sooner or later." said Joey.
"That's what you think, dork." thought Bandit Keith as he laughs internally.
"Tournament verification cards, gentlemen." said Croquet.
"No, problem." said Bandit Keith, showing the card he had stolen off of Joey. "Hey, dweeb, show the man your card."
"Sure. It's right here." said Joey, digging through his jacket pocket and finds that the card from his jacket is missing. "Um…."
"Tournament verification cards…." Croquet started to say to Joey.
"I know." he snapped, still looking for the card on his person. "Just give me a minute, would you? I-I-I know it's in here somewhere. Aah…"
"Seriously?" asked Paige.
"Joey lost his tournament entry card?" asked Tea.
"He couldn't be that absentminded." said Bakura.
"Yeah, he could." said Tristan.
"Well, what a shame." said Bandit Keith, still sitting on the couch. "I guess I won't be needing to get up off of this couch after all, huh, Joey?"
"Well, don't get too comfortable, 'cause once I find that card…." said Joey, but was interrupted.
"If." said Croquet. "If you find it within the set time parameters the regulations allows."
"You mean there's a time limit?" Joey asked, nervously.
"Ha ha ha. And seeing how I snatched that card from your coat pocket last night, I got a hunch that time is gonna run out way before you find it." thought Bandit Keith, smirking to himself.
"Retrace your steps, Joey." said Tea. "Are you sure you put it in your coat?"
"Well, I guess that it could have fallen out in the room." said Joey. "I'm gonna head back there and check it out."
"5 minutes." said Croquet.
"What?" questioned Joey.
"Your match will begin at 11:00 sharp." he tells him as a clock appears on the field. "Extensions are given to no one. If you havent returned with the card by 11:00, you'll be disqualified."
"Uhh!" groaned Joey as he left the arena to look for his card.
"No fair! That's barely enough time for Joey to even make it back to the room." said Tea.
"Yeah!" said Paige in agreement.
"These are the rules, and they will be enforced." said Croquet as they groaned at this.
"Run as fast as you can." Bandit Keith said, laughing. "It won't do you any good. Your card's got a new owner these days."
"If I can't find that card in 3 minutes, then I'll have to forfeit to Keith." thought Joey as he ran to his room. Another minute went by as Bandit Keith let out another yawn.
"Hey, would you guys mind if I took off my boots?" Bandit Keith asked Yugi, Paige and the others.
"Do as you wish, but if you're not in the dueling arena at the designated time, you'll be disqualified too." said Croquet.
"Say what?" asked a shocked Bandit Keith. "Man! You suits and your rules."
"But on the plus side, we didn't make them." said Paige.
"We just live by them." said Yugi, smiling at her as she giggled.
"Uhh! I don't get it!" said Joey as he tore the room apart. "I can't find that card anywhere."
"I'd give Joey this Glory of the Kings opposite hand card to duel with, except then I wouldn't be able to duel Pegasus and save our grandpa." thought Yugi as he looked down at the card and then at his sister.
"Ah, come on." said Bandit Keith, impatiently.
"Huh?"
"Can't we just disqualify that punk right now?" he asked Croquet. "We all know he aint coming back, anyway."
"What's that mean?" Tristan asked Bandit Keith.
"You're in that much of a hurry to duel my brother?" asked Paige.
"You're wrong. He'll be here." said Tea.
"Come on….think about it. You're little friend's been scared to death of me ever since we had that run-in back at that cave." said Bandit Keith. "You know he's not looking for that Glory of the Kings hand card, he's looking for a place to hide. In fact, kiddies, he probably lost that entry card on purpose, just so that he'd have an excuse not to duel me. Ha ha. Pretty spineless, I'd say."
"Joey is not spineless!" shouted Paige, glaring at Bandit Keith. "You don't know Joey well enough like we do."
"Easy now." said Tristan.
"Calm down!" said Tea.
"No need to be angry." said Bakura.
"No way!" said Yugi.
"What?" Bandit Keith said in shock.
"Joey has never backed down from a duel before, and he's not going to start now." said Yugi. "He'll be back. You'll see."
"Believe what you want, twerp, but there's only one minute left." said Bandit Keith as the digital clock read 10:59.
"Oh, no." said Tea.
"He had better hurry up." said Bakura.
"Man! What if he can't find that card?" asked Tristan.
"Come on, Joey." thought Yugi.
"Must have searched the whole castle…." thought Joey, catching his breath before falling to his knees. "And still no card. I can't believe it. After lasting on this island all this time, after beating duelists twice my experience, after getting past all of Pegasus' traps, I'm gonna get disqualified from this tournament 'cause of this? For losing one lousy card?! Sorry, sis. I came close. I came real close."
Tears fell from his eyes as Mai walks up behind him. "Get up off the floor, Joey." said Mai.
"Huh?" said Joey, looking up at Mai.
"And quit all your crying, already. You look like a big baby." she tells him, glaring as she said this.
"Who's crying?" Joey asked, sniffling as he wipes away his tears. "I got something in my eye."
"Mm." said Mai, her expression softening as she feels for him.
"Stupid thing won't come out." said Joey, still wiping away his tears.
"Here." said Mai, handing the blonde her hanky.
"Huh?" asked Joey, confused.
"Just don't go blowing your nose in it." said Mai as Joey takes her hanky. "You know, every time I think I've got you figured, you surprise me, Joey."
"Huh?"
"Tea and Paige told me about your little sister." Mai explained. "How your dueling to win the tournament's prize money for her so she can have that operation. Sounded like a bad soap opera, to be honest, but then, who doesn't love a bad soap opera? Anyway, see you around, hon."
"Huh?" said Joey, confused as he stood up. He then looks inside Mai's handkerchief and sees the card. "Mai's card." he said to himself then runs around the corner to catch up with her. "Wait! Mai!"
"Take it." said Mai. "I don't need it anymore."
"So, does that mean we're finally friends, Mai?" asked Joey.
"Don't you have a duel to run off to?" she asked, reminding him.
"Yeah, you're right." said Joey.
"One thing though." said Mai just as Joey was about to take off.
"Whoa. What?" he asked.
"Take him down." Mai tells Joey.
"Huh? Right." replied Joey, smiling and takes off for his duel.
"Dork. Of course we're friends." said Mai as Joey's footsteps faded.
"It's Joey!" shouted Tea as he enters the arena.
"He made it!" they shouted.
"Finally!" shouted Paige, her arms in the air. "I was getting bored, Joey!"
"Hmm?" said Pegasus and Croquet, looking up to see Joey.
"Huh?" said Bandit Keith, shocked to see Joey as he had a determined look on his face.
"Yay! Yeah!" said his friends as he walks into the arena.
"So, the punk's come back to give us the bad news, huh?" asked Bandit Keith, smirking. "Let me guess. You couldn't find that card anywhere. Ha ha ha."
"What are you talking about?" asked Joey confidently as he shows the card Mai gave him. "I got it right here."
Just then, the digital clock struck 11:00. "Impossible! I'm using his card!" thought Bandit Keith.
"Very well, then. The duel will proceed as scheduled." said Croquet as everyone sighed.
"I'm already beat." said Tristan.
"You're not the only one." said Paige.
"All right, Keith. Nap time is over. Time to duel." said Joey.
"Fine. You know, a part of me wanted you to show up." Bandit Keith said. "A nice little warm up match might do me some good."
"I'll warm you up and wear you out." Joey fired back.
"Just you try it!" shouted Bandit Keith.
"The second match of these playoffs will now commence." said Croquet. "Joey Wheeler, Bandit Keith, prepare to duel."
Yugi and the others as they cheered their friend on from the wings. "Come on, Joey. You have to win this match or you're out." thought Yugi.
"Ready? Begin." Croquet said.
"Let's duel!" said Joey and Bandit Keith as their life points counter started off at 2,000.
"Joey Wheeler, Bandit Keith, your peers and gracious host await your bout, so let this duel commence." said Croquet as both duelists drew their hand.
"Ok, Joey, your sister's counting on you." thought Yugi.
"Don't let him get to your head, Joey." thought Paige. "He's not worth dueling my brother."
"So tell me how it feels to be an amateur going up against the intercontinental dueling champion?" Bandit Keith asked Joey, laughing a bit.
"Whoo-hoo. The intercontinental dueling championship." said Joey, mocking him. "I could win a better prize than that in a box of cereal."
"Huh. Punk." said Bandit Keith. "I'll teach you to respect my title. One card face down in defense mode."
"Here we go, guys." Tea said.
"Crunch time." added Paige.
"Do you think that title gives Keith an edge?" asked Bakura.
"Nah. Joey's got something a lot better than titles, he's got guts." said Tristan.
"And heart, too." said Tea. "Just remember what you're fighting for, Joey, and you can't lose."
"Right. Now take it to 'em, bud. This is the moment you've been waiting for." said Tristan.
"Ok, then. It's time to go to work." thought Joey, ready to make his first move. "Serenity, this duel's for you, sis. My turn, and I'm throwing a monster card in defense mode, too."
"Well, this aint gonna be a very exciting match if we're both going to be playing defense all day, so I think I'll switch my card to attack mode." said Bandit Keith, switching his card from face down. Go, Pendulum Machine!"
Pendulum Machine (ATT: 1,750/ DEF: 2,000) appeared on the field, standing on its pendulum. "A machine monster." said a shocked Joey, his eyes went wide.
"That's right, and he's about to go into overdrive on that defense card of yours." said Bandit Keith as Pendulum Machine made its way over to Joey's face down card, pulling out a blue monster. "Slashing Blade Attack!"
The pendulum swings a few times, destroying Joey's monster. "Ouch. That's not good." said Tristan.
"Well, it isn't…bad." said Yugi as Paige tilts her head to the side.
"Huh?"
"Yugi is right." said Bakura, not taking his eyes off the duel. "Now that Keith's card is set in attack mode, Joey can see precisely how strong it is. Now all he has to do is play something stronger, and he'll be able to destroy it."
"Still, I wonder why Bandit Keith played a machine monster." Yugi thought to himself.
"So, are you going to make your move, or what?" asked Bandit Keith.
"I sure am, and it's a big one, all thanks to your lousy move." said Joey. "Giltia the Knight, Mash that machine into scrap metal."
"Wow." said Bakura as Giltia the Knight (ATT:1,850/ DEF:1,500) growled his way onto the field.
"Giltia the Knight, has a higher attack power then Keith's monster." said Tea, comparing both monsters.
"Soul Spear, attack!" commanded Joey as Giltia sends an invisible energy wave towards Pendulum Machine. Bandit Keith grins as the attack didn't affect his monster.
"What? My attack's not working." said Joey, shocked that Pendulum Machine was still on the field.
"Huh?" asked Tea.
"Great Scott, its not." said Bakura.
"Yug, Paige, that cant be right, can it?" asked Tristan as Bandit Keith laughs evilly before the brother and sister could answer.
"You bet its right." he replied. "All of my machine monsters are protected by magic-resistant armor, so that makes all of your magic attacks worth squat."
"Dude…." said Paige.
"That's why he played a machine card…." said Yugi. "they're magic proof, and not just against magical-type monsters, but they can withstand attacks from any card that uses magic."
"Man, cant we ever catch a break?" asked Tristan.
"My turn…" said Bandit Keith.
"Huh?" said Joey.
"And I got another well-oiled machine all ready for you." said Bandit Keith, revealing a spider like machine. "Launcher Spider!"
Launcher Spider (ATT:2,200/ DEF:2,500) appeared, ready for its orders. "More machines. Just great." said Bakura.
"His whole deck is probably full of them." said Tea.
"I'm starting to hate Bandit Keith more than I dislike Kaiba on a good day." said Paige.
"Paige…." warned Yugi.
"What? It's a mutual feeling and you know it." said Paige as Launcher Spider targeted Giltia.
"Now, Spider," said Bandit Keith as Joey growled for the moment. "Shock-Rocket Attack!"
Launcher Spider fired its rockets at Giltia, blasting him. "Come on, Punk, fight me back." said Bandit Keith as Joey's life points lowered to 1,650. "It's more fun when you struggle."
"Oh, man!" thought Joey. "I'd knew I would get a rough match from Keith, but I wasn't prepared for these big metal bullies."
"They're tough, true. Still, no machine is without its glitch." said Bakura.
"So, what's their glitch, Yugi? Paige?" asked Tea, looking at the Muto siblings.
"Oh, I'm not sure." said Yugi. "Machine monsters are some of the most powerful monsters in the dueling world. Not only are they impervious to magic attacks, but they have an amazing strong offense as well. But they can only use that strong offense one way: against head on attacks."
"I bet you guys anything that Bandit Keith might have an all-machine monster deck." added Paige.
"Maybe if Joey plays his cards right, he can use that to his advantage." Yugi said, nodding.
"Hmm." thought Joey as he looks at his next card. "Attacking those metal freaks will just get me clobbered, so…." He then places his next card on his side of the field. "I play this card face down and this monster card in defense mode."
"Whats the matter, dweeb, afraid to fight like a man?" Bandit Keith asked, taunting Joey who then growls in response. "Hmm. If this guy keeps throwing cards in defensive mode, I'll never get at his life points. I got to draw him out, get him to attack me, then he'll be open to some real damage. (Laughs) I'll lay a card face-down, too, and this in defense. Oop."
Bandit Keith drops a card face up, landing on his side of the field. "My mistake." he said, picking up the card before it made its appearance. "Just forget what you saw. Anyhow, as I was saying, I'll play this card in defense mode."
"Whatever that was, it sure looked ugly." said Tea.
"But not metal." said Tristan.
"Ha ha ha ha ha." Joey laughed to himself as he stares down Bandit Keith. "Tristan's right. That card wasn't a machine, it was a shadow monster called a Zoa, a beast my Flame Swordsman could toast easily. And unlike machine monsters, it's totally vulnerable to magic. Ha ha."
"Yeah! Check out Joey's big grin." said Tristan, seeing the look on Joey's face. "Something's up."
"I don't know." said Yugi.
"Huh? Know what?" asked Tristan as Joey makes his move.
"Go, Flame Swordsman, in attack mode!" shouted Joey as he played Flame Swordsman.
"The attack points of that Zoa card Keith dropped…" Yugi said to Tristan. "They're higher than its defense."
"So what?" asked Tea.
"Think about it, Tea." said Paige as Bakura understands.
"Oh, I see." he said.
"And I'll add this magic card, too." said Joey, revealing his Salamandra card.
"Since Zoa's attack is more than his defense, it makes little sense to play him in defensive mode, unless Keith is trying to lure Joey into attacking him." said Bakura.
"And there we have it, Tea." said Paige. "That's what Keith is trying to do to Joey."
"Go, Salamandra." said Joey, powering up his Flame Swordsman's sword and his attack points. "His magic raises my attack power by 700 points."
"So then Keith must have shown Zoa on purpose." exclaimed Tea.
"Joey, wait!" Tristan called.
"Swordsman, attack!" said Joey, hearing Tristan's warning too late as Flame Swordsman sends out Salamandra.
"I got you." said Bandit Keith as he turns over his face down card, revealing a trap card. "My trap activates."
"What?" asked Joey as Zoa (ATT:2,600/ DEF:1,900) appears on the field.
"Go, Magic Metal Force!" shouted Bandit Keith as metal covers Zoa's body, raising his power (ATT:3,000/ DEF:2,300). "Now Zoa is metal, with 400 attack and defense points."
"Ah, no big thing." said Joey.
"But that's not all, blonde, that new metallic paint job he's sporting deflects all magic attacks back to where they came from." Bandit Keith tells him.
"My Swordsman." yelled Joey but it was too late.
"That's right. Just watch this." said Bandit Keith as Salamandra was redirected back to Flame Swordsman.
"No!" Joey cried out as he watched in horror as his Flame Swordsman was burned off the field and into the graveyard. Joey was shocked as his life points dropped to 1,150. "My Swordsman's been outmaneuvered." he thought to himself as Bandit Keith laughs as his misery.
"You should have seen the look on your loser face, you dweeb, when your Swordsman's own attack toasted him." said Bandit Keith as the others looked on in shock. "It was priceless. Ha ha ha ha! Hmm…and I'm just getting started."
"Say what?" Joey asked in fear.
"That's right." Bandit Keith said. "Next on my list is that little defense card of yours, but he wont be defending you much longer."
"A Stop Defense Card?" asked Joey, shocked.
"Lets see what you're hiding there." said Bandit Keith, revealing Joey's defense card, his Axe Raider (ATT:1,700/ DEF:1,150). "An Axe Raider, huh? No problem. Not for my metal Zoa, anyway."
"Oh, no! Joey's life points will be all gone if that metal Zoa's attack hits." said Yugi.
"Joey." said Paige apprehensively.
"Hang tough, bud." said Tristan.
"Sayonara, sucker." said Bandit Keith, preparing to attack. "Metal Zoa, attack the Axe Raider."
"Ooh…" said Tea as she and Paige looked away when suddenly Metal Zoa disappeared.
"Huh?" they said, confused by what happened.
"Where'd he go?" thought Bandit Keith.
"Of course." said Yugi as Metal Zoa was in the middle of the arena.
"Huh?" said the girls.
"Nice move." said Tristan.
"All right!" said Joey, smiling as his trap worked. "You fell right into my trap, just like I planned."
"No way!" shouted Bandit Keith, taken aback that Joey had sprung a trap on him. "You set a trap for me?"
"Perfect! The Chasm of Spikes Card!" said Yugi as Metal Zoa was struggling to get out. "Now not only is Metal Zoa destroyed, but one quarter of his attack points will be deducted from Keith's life points."
"Go Joey!" shouted Paige.
"Aah…" growled Keith as his life points dropped to 1,250.
"Not bad, huh?" asked Joey. "I only wish you could have seen the look on your face when that Metal Zoa of yours got shish-kabobbed. It was priceless."
"You tell him." said Tea. "Its about time someone gave that Bandit Keith jerk a taste of his own medicine."
"Yeah!" said Paige.
"That's not the only way he's turning the tables on Keith." said Yugi with a smile on his face. "I think Joey might have finally found the glitch in those machine monsters. Rather than try and beat them in a direct assault, he's letting his traps do all the work."
"And now Keith's only winning by 100 life points." added Bakura.
"All right!" shouted Tristan. "Go, Joe, Go!"
"My turn." said Joey as he places his next card face down. "And first, I'm laying this card face down. Oh, and it's a trap card, so don't bother attacking."
"Wow. Will you just look at him duel?" asked Tristan, impressed by Joey.
"Careful. You havent won this duel yet, Joey." Tea warned him.
"Don't lay all your cards in one basket." said Paige.
"You amateur!" screamed Bandit Keith. "That's gotta be the lousiest bluff I've ever heard in my entire dueling career."
"And next, I'm switching my Axe Raider back into defensive mode and throwing this in attack mode." said Joey. "Go, Garusies. Now junk that Pendulum Machine. Attack!"
Garusies (ATT:1,800/ DEF:1,500) appeared on the field and rushes towards Pendulum Machine. "With Battle Blades, strike!" shouted Joey. Garusies strikes Pendulum Machine, slicing it in half as Bandit Keith's life points drops even more to 1,200.
"Punk." growled Bandit Keith.
"Yeah, that's right." said Joey. "Take a permanent vacation at the scrap yard, you hunk of junk."
"Now its my turn!" Bandit Keith roared. "Launcher Spider! Demolish Garusies!"
Launcher Spider fires off its rockets at Garusies, creating a cloud. "Hah! I knew you didn't have another trap card." said Bandit Keith.
"Wrong again, Keith. You thought I was bluffing and now you're gonna pay for it." said Joey as the dust clears on the field.
"What's that?" he asked as he sees Kunai with Chain wrapped around Launcher Spider.
"Kunai with Chains. And once activated, it raises my attack points 500 points." said Joey as Garusies attack points was raised to 2,300. "Attack, Garusies! Battle Axe Crush!"
Garusies attacks Launcher Spider, slashing it in half vertically, causing it to explode as Bandit Keith's life points dropped once again to 1,100. "All right. Its still close, but Joey has just won himself a slight lead." said Bakura.
"I knew he'd make a comeback!" Tea said, laughing.
"Joey's trusting his instincts and believing in his cards." thought Yugi. "He's dueling like a true champion."
"Way to go, Joey!" cheered Tristan.
"Whoo-hoo!" cheered Paige.
"If you keep this up, you'll be dueling Pegasus in no time!" said Tristan.
"Hmm." said Pegasus, looking up at Joey with a small smile on his face.
"Uhh! I'm not gonna let him make a fool out of me." thought Bandit Keith, pounding his fist on the panel.
"What's wrong, Mr. Champ? Don't tell me you're losing your cool to an amateur like me." Joey said, mocking Bandit Keith. Instead of retorting, Bandit Keith smiles and laughs in response.
"What the…what's the big joke?" asked Joey.
"The joke is on you, blondie. You're already counting the tournament's prize money, and this duel aint even close to being over yet." Bandit Keith tells him.
"Oh, yeah?" asked Joey.
"You think your traps will last you forever?" he asked. "You're gonna run out sooner or later, and then I'll bring out my bigger machines and really give our audience a show."
"I don't like the sound in his voice." said Paige.
"What sound?" asked Tristan.
"You know how in every horror film, there's always one person who goes into unsuspecting danger and the audience says, 'Don't go in there!'?" she asked as Tristan nodded. "Well, Joey is going into unknown territory in the duel and I'm already scared."
"You're going down, you sniveling little wannabe. Nobody beats Bandit Keith." threatened Bandit Keith. "Nobody!"
