Dirty, Slimy Animals:
Milo was in the headmaster's office and had looked to see what was in the tank. And in the tank were toads.
"Sit, stay, sweet little animal. I'll leave slowly, okay. Stay there dirty slimy animals," said Milo.
Milo got away from the tank and fled out of the principal's office.
Meanwhile in history class, Mr. Gibson walked up to Skyla with her notebook.
"How did you get this?" Asked Mr. Gibson.
Skyla did not answer and closed her notebook, Mr. Gibson looked a bit concerned, Percy raised his hand.
"Sir, you were going to tell us about the dark druids and their rituals," said Percy.
"Yes, but there isn't much to tell you about. But there is a legends that says the dark druids were magicians of Atlantis," said Mr. Gibson as he got up and walked to the front of the class.
"Atlantis? I believe I want their on vacation once," said Anastacia. "Where is it?"
"Somewhere deep in the ocean," said Percy.
"That right, when Atlantis succumbed to the ocean, it was thought that all druids died, and with their rituals," said Mr. Gibson.
"Is nothing known?" Asked Percy.
"No, like I told you before, all their knowledge was spoken with other druids," said Mr. Gibson.
"Didn't they write anything down?" Asked Percy.
"No, there are rumors that there are a few copies of a book, a book full of magical hexes," said Mr. Gibson.
"Of the dark druids?" Asked Percy.
"Yes, let's hope that the book doesn't end up in the wrong hands, well it's only a rumor," said Mr. Gibson.
After class, Anastacia went to her locker and grabbed some of her things and had not yet realized that Milo was in her locker.
"Hey," said Milo.
"Hello," said Anastacia.
Anastacia closed her locker, but quickly opened it again when she realized Milo was in it.
"What are you doing in my locker?" Asked Anastacia.
"Don't tell anyone," said Milo.
"Are you stalking me? Yes, you're stalking me," said Anastacia.
"No, I'm playing hide and seek," said Milo.
"Are you a little too old for that?" Asked Anastacia.
"No, no, no, hide and seek is making a comeback," said Milo.
"If you're not out of my locker in two seconds, I'm going to scream," said Anastacia.
Anastacia started screaming, Milo covered his ears and Mr. Danbury came out his office to see what was going on.
"What's wrong now? Asked Mr. Danbury, then he saw Milo sitting in Anastacia's locker. "You."
"Me? Asked Milo.
"I was looking for you," said Mr. Danbury.
"You see, hide and seek," said Milo.
Mr. Danbury grabbed Milo by his ear pulled him out of Anastacia's locker and put him up against the lockers.
"Have you been in my office?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
"I wouldn't dare," said Milo.
"So you didn't touch my terrarium? Asked Mr. Danbury.
"Terrarium? No, never. I would hate touching those dirty, slimy…, said Milo, realizing he slipped up. Whoops.
"You're mine, you're cleaning every day after school for a week, said Mr. Danbury. And if I ever see you near my terrarium again, I'll turn you into a toad, understood?
"Yes, said Milo softly.
"I can't hear you, said Mr. Danbury.
"Yes, headmaster Danbury, said Milo.
Mr. Danbury swept his hand over Milo's shoulder and walked away while he went through his hair. Anastacia walked over to Milo and also swept her hand over Milo's shoulder with a smug smile on her face and was glad Milo was punished.
A few hours later and school was over, Skyla walked through the woods by herself on her way home.
"Great Skyla, congratulations, you're not only crazy, but also a witch," said Skyla. "It has its positive side being a witch, I can go to school with the broom, with some luck Anastacia can sit on the back of the broom."
Skyla actually laughed quite a bit at her own joke, but the laughter soon stopped when she heard Milo's voice in her head accusing her of witchcraft.
"Why can't I be normal like everyone else? Keep your head straight, Skyla, there must be an explanation for it," said Skyla.
Skyla thought about the girl and then she remembered something, she had seen the sign before, in the little store but she had been kicking it with Anastacia.
"That girl, that mark in the shop. Maybe I've to go back to the shop? There must be something written about it. If I didn't had you," said Skyla.
Back at the school, Percy stood by the lockers and looked at his watch, Milo came running up with a bucket, mop and other cleaning supplies in his hand and he was wearing an apron.
"You're 24 minutes and 29 seconds late," said Percy.
"Sorry, okay," said Milo.
"A detective is never late, it's one of the golden rules," said Percy.
"I found something in the office of the headmaster, said Milo, as he took the necklace out his pocket and gave it to Percy.
"In his office?" Asked Percy.
"Yes," said Milo.
"Did you see what was in that tank?" Asked Percy.
Milo thought back to the toads he saw in the tank, Percy noticed Milo was staring ahead and waved his hand in his face, trying to get his attention back to it.
"Hello, earth to Milo!" Said Percy. "Did you see what was in that tank?"
"Yeah, dude and I wish I could unsee it," said Milo.
"Tell me what was in it?" asked Percy.
"Toads, dude, Dirty, slimy toads," said Milo.
"Toads? Peculiar, well done partner," said Percy.
"Yes, I know right, until I was caught," said Milo.
"You were caught?" Asked Percy.
"Yes, dude, do you think I'm look like this for fun?" Asked Milo.
"Amateur," said Percy.
What did you say?" Asked Milo.
"Nothing, we're behind on schedule," said Percy.
"Which schedule?" Asked Milo.
"Our tracks investigation, we've to figure out who's fingerprints are on the door," said Percy.
Percy grabbed his recorder from his pocket and turned it on.
"3:40 pm, after a 30 minutes delay, I'm going home, we'll know shortly if the fingerprints of Arlene are a match with those of the door," said Percy.
Percy put away his recorder and started walking, Milo put away the cleaning supplies and followed Percy.
In the meantime in the house, Skyla was in her room, she had decided to go back to the store, she went to look in her purse to see how much money she had.
"How much would a book like that cost?" Asked Skyla.
Anastacia entered the room and sat down on her bed.
"Some boys are so desperate," said Anastacia. "Do you know who I found in my locker today?"
"No," said Skyla.
"Milo, I know that boys go the extra mile for me and do weird things at time, but this is another level," said Anastacia.
Skyla grabbed her bag and stood up, not realizing that her wallet had fallen out of her bag.
"Where are you going?" Asked Anastacia.
"The village," said Skyla.
"Oh, I'll join you," said Anastacia.
"Join me? Asked Skyla.
"Yes, everything is better than doing homework about those dirty druids," said Anastacia.
Anastacia got up and went to get ready, Skyla wasn't actually happy about this, but she couldn't forbid Anastacia to go with her.
A few minutes later Percy and Milo came home and went to their room, Percy noticed right away the cup was on the table, he knew it was in a plastic bag when he left. Percy then went to search the drawers and saw that the rest of the evidence was also gone.
"Where is my evidence? Everything is gone!" Said Percy.
"What is?" Asked Milo.
"The fingerprints," said Percy.
"This place is haunted, dude, I knew it," said Milo.
Percy grabbed his magnifying glass and his recorder and looked at the glass, but nothing, it was completely clean.
"This very peculiar, my proof is gone and the glass has been cleaned, the culprit is unknow," said Percy.
"It was the ghost, I know just know it, it was the ghost," said Milo.
"We can't rule anything out," said Percy.
"What are we going to do?" Asked Milo.
"Get new fingerprints," said Percy.
"Again?" Asked Milo.
"Yes, if you get the fingerprints of Arlene, then everything is fine," said Percy.
"And that has to happen now?" Asked Milo.
"Yes, it has to happen now," said Percy.
In the meantime Skyla and Anastacia were walking back to the village together, to go to Madam Gretha's store.
"If everyone keeps saying; You've a beautiful voice Anastacia. Who am I to disagree?" Said Anastacia. "I mean, not everyone has been born with a voice like mine, I see the lead of the musical as my duty, I can't let anyone else do it."
The closer they got to the village the more nervous Skyla became, she thought back to the history lesson, soon she will find something in the store that shows she can be a witch.
"Thingy, what were you thinking about?" Asked Anastacia. "Oh, there must be a role for you too."
"Huh," said Skyla.
"In the musical, they are always looking for extra's, said Anastacia. "Hey, are we going to the funny shop? I've to know my horoscope."
"Yes," said Skyla.
"Great, I feel today is my lucky day, I've never felt so lucky," said Anastacia.
Meanwhile in Kent's secret room, Arlene entered and walked toward the crystal dome.
"Ewan, sweetheart, here you are, I miss you," said Arlene. "Kent is working on the calculations, he is all over it, Soon we'll know when the first incorporation ritual is going to take place, which of those kids is going to give you their special sense."
Arlene wiped away her tear and placed her hands on the glass, with a determined look in her eyes.
"If all five are incorporated I can finally hug you again," said Arlene.
A few minutes later Skyla and Anastacia were in the little shop, Anastacia was looking at the accessories and Skyla looked at the books and found a book that thing about Witches and Magic, she was just about to grab the book, when Anastacia walked over to her, with two pairs of earings in her hands
"Hey, thingy, which one is better, the big or the small one?" Asked Anastacia.
"The small one," said Skyla.
"The small one? Are you sure?" Asked Anastacia.
Anastacia walked away again, Skyla grabbed the book and flipped through it and then saw the mark that looked a lot like mark of her dream.
At the same time in the house, Kent was in his study and was doing calculations, Arlene walked into the room with a cup of coffee and set it down by him.
"I've destroyed the fingerprints," said Arlene.
"Good," said Kent. "You can go now."
Arlene nodded her head and left the room and Kent resumed his calculations.
Back in the store, Skyla still had the book in her hands, she wanted to take out her drawing to compare the marks, but at that exact moment Anastacia walked up, with scarves in her hands.
"Thingy, I'm having such a hard time shopping without my personal assistant, which one do I've to choose, this one, that one or this one?" Asked Anastacia.
"The blue one," said Skyla.
"The blue one?" Asked Anastacia.
"What you think you think is beautiful?" Asked Skyla.
"The one my stylist would choose," said Anastacia.
"The yellow one?" Guessed Skyla.
"Yeah, yeah, she would pick that one, yes," said Anastacia.
Anastacia walked toward the mirror with the scarves and started looking at herself. Skyla picked up the book and Madam Gretha walked up.
"Did you find something?" asked Gretha.
"Yes, I had to find something for school, for an essay," said Skyla
Skyla went in her bag to grab her wallet, but felt that her wallet was not in her bag.
"I've lost my wallet," said Skyla.
"You know what, I'll loan you the book, it would be a shame if you get a bad grade for you essay," said Gretha.
"Thank you," said Skyla, as she turned to Anastacia. "Come, we've to leave."
"Coming," said Anastacia.
"Thank you again," said Skyla.
Anastacia came running up and gave Madam Gretha the money for the things she wanted.
"Bye, good luck with your essay," said Gretha.
"Essay? What kind of essay?" Asked Anastacia.
"Come, we're leaving," said Skyla.
"Why don't I know anything about an essay?" Asked Anastacia.
"It's nothing," said Skyla.
"Do we have to write an essay? About what?" Asked Anastacia.
Skyla and Anastacia left the little store and went back to Anubis house.
Back at the house, Kent had finished his calculation, he closed the book and on the cover was the same sign from Skyla's dream.
"It's almost time," said Kent.
What are Kent and Arlene going to do with the Five? Will Percy and Milo find out, that Arlene was the one who covered the tracks? And will Skyla find out what the mark is? And whether she is a witch?
