A New Main Suspect:
Percy and Milo wanted to leave their room to go on their mission, but when they wanted to walk out of their room, Arlene was standing outside their door.
"I thought I heard something," said Arlene. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, We're not detectives, we're not going downstairs," said Milo, but before he could say anything else Percy covered his mouth with his hand.
"Milo was sleepwalking," said Percy. "But Milo was about to go back to bed, right?"
"Yes, Milo is very tired, yeah," said Milo.
"Goodnight," said Percy.
"Goodnight," said Arlene.
Arlene walked away, Percy closed the door and lay down in his bed, beginning to wonder if it was a coincidence that Arlene was at their door so suddenly.
In the meantime in the girls' room, the girl had reappeared, Skyla was scared and pulled the blanket almost completely over herself and closed her eyes so she couldn't see the girl.
"Don't be afraid Skyla, you've to help me, you can't trust her," said the girl
"Who?" Asked Skyla.
"Arlene," said the girl.
"Arlene?" Asked Arlene.
"Look for the mark, Skyla, the mark," said the girl.
Someone was comnig and the girl vanished again, the door slowly opened, Skyla lay down, closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep. Arlene walked into the room and looked around, she walked over to Skyla's bed and looked at her, Skyla tried to be very still and not move. Arlene walked out of the room again. Skyla opened her eyes, but the girl did not return.
A few minutes later in the boys' room, Percy had taken out his recorder again.
"Was it an coincidence that Arlene came by? Or was it planned? We can't conclude anything at the moment," said Percy. "Our second try well happen within in 10 minutes."
"Second try?" Asked Milo.
"Yes, we've to figure out what is behind that door," said Percy.
"Can you guys just sleep?" Asked Raphael.
"I'm more of a day detective," said Milo.
"It has to happened tonight," said Percy. "You don't have to join me, if you're too scared."
"Scared? Scared? Just wait dude, I'll show you who is scared, door here we come," said Milo.
In the meantime in Kent's study room. Kent and Arlene were dressed in black cloaks in the study were also three other people in cloaks, Arlene put on her hood and sat down with the rest. Kent put his hand on the book and looked at the rest.
"It is time to reveal who will be the first one to be incorporated," said Kent.
Meanwhile in the girls' room. Skyla was in bed but could not sleep after seeing the girl again, she could also only think what the girl had said to her about Arlene and that she could not trust her.
"Mouse, I don't want to be a witch," said Skyla. "Should I tell Arlene everything? Or not?"
At the same time in the boys' room. Percy looked at his watch and saw that there were less than two minutes left before he and Milo were going to make another attempt to investigate the door.
"The investigation has been reopened, this time nothing can go wrong, it's too dangerous," said Percy.
Percy turned off his recorder and into his pocket; he got out of bed and went to try to wake Milo.
"Milo, we're leaving, Milo," said Percy.
But Milo didn't gave an answer, Percy pulled the blanket off Milo and saw that he was lying there looking quite frightened.
"Hey," said Milo.
"What are you doing?" Asked Percy.
"Nothing," said Milo.
"Well come," said Percy.
Percy was about to leave, but Milo didn't get up and pulled the blanket half over himself. Percy walked toward Milo's bed again.
"Listen, I get that you're scared, it's dangerous, very dangerous even, but I've explained all the rules to you and we've practiced," said Percy. "If you survive this mission, you're a good detective."
Milo got out of his bed and walked toward Percy's desk, who was once again busy checking that he had all his things.
"Oh by the way, I wasn't scared, and, of course I'm the greatest detective, I'm the greatest detective ever," said Milo.
"If you stick to my rules," said Percy.
"Rules, dude, a real detective doesn't need rules, I've my own style, Milo Style," said Milo.
"If you ruin this, it will be your first and last mission," said Percy.
"Okay," said Milo.
Percy walked up to the door and carefully opened it, he carefully checked that there was no one in the hall and when the coast was clear, he signed to Milo, that he could come, Milo was quite scared and didn't really want to go, but went with Percy anyway.
A few minutes later, Percy and Milo were sitting in the living room. Percy had left the door ajar and could clearly see the secret door.
"Location: Unnoticeable position across the door, no one can leave or enter without us noticing, that's all," said Percy.
Percy closed the door and sat down, he looked at Milo holding his knees and rocking back and forth. Milo looked at Percy and stopped moving.
"Sorry," said Milo.
"This is going to be a long night," said Percy.
A few moments later, Percy had his parabolic sonic scope and pointed it at the door so he could try to hear what was being said inside.
"There are people inside, I can't understand them, though," said Percy.
Percy tried to listen again, but this was disturbed by Milo's loud yawning, Percy turned to Milo and signed to him that he should be quiet.
After an hour nothing had happened, Percy was still looking at the door, Milo had used tape to keep his eyes open. Another hour later the two boys were sitting in the living room, Percy was still looking in the door and Milo was almost completely asleep. Percy's watch began to beep. Percy quickly stopped the beeping.
"I have to leave for a moment, do you keep an eye on the door?" Asked Percy.
"Yeah, dude, I've got this," said Milo, half asleep.
"I will be right back, just keep looking at that door," said Percy.
"The door," said Milo.
Percy grabbed his bag and carefully left the living room. And Percy was not even 30 seconds away and Milo had fallen asleep.
In the meantime in the girls' room. Skyla was asleep and had a dream about all different things. That she saw the mark on the wall in the hallway, the girl begging her for help. Arlene saying she could always come to her if something was bothering her, but that the girl said Skyla could not trust Arlene. The book about witchcraft and the mark. Milo who in history class accused her of witchcraft.
"Help, me Skyla. You can always come to me. You can't trust her. Witch!"
Skyla was startled awake and sat straight up in her bed. All this had caused Anastacia to wake up.
"I'm trying to get some sleep over here, rule 57: I need at least 8 and half hour of beauty sleep," said Anastacia.
"Sorry, I…," said Skyla.
"Did you have another nightmare, again?" Asked Anastacia.
"Yeah," said Skyla.
"Can you dream about something nice the next time? So this won't happen every time," said Anastacia.
"I'll try," said Skyla.
"Good, I'm going back to sleep now, so don't wake me again," said Anastacia.
Anastacia lay down again and quickly fell back asleep. Skyla also lay down again, but she couldn't sleep, everything that had happened over the past few days haunting her mind.
Meanwhile in the living room, Milo heard a noise and woke up and saw that no one was there.
"Percy? Percy? Perce? Percy?" Asked Milo.
Milo panicked and fled out of the living room and bumped into Percy.
"Percy! Percy! Percy! No! No! No!" yelled Milo.
The secret door opened, Milo fled upstairs, Percy managed to hide in the living room just in time. And none other than the headmaster came out of the room. Percy carefully wanted to leave the door ajar, when Mr. Danbury looked into the living room through the tinted patterned glass, Percy sat down against the wall and through a small piece of clear glass he could see the headmaster's necklace, and that was the same symbol Skyla had dreamed about. Mr. Danbury walked away and went back into the study room.
A few moments later, Percy went back to his room; he was just walking into his room when he was almost jumped by Milo.
"Dude, where were you?" Asked Milo. "You can't leave me alone in dangerous situations."
"I told you," said Percy.
"I did, you said, yes, dude, I've got his, those were you exact words," said Percy.
"I never said such a thing," said Milo.
"Then you probably said it in your sleep, you were asleep," said Percy.
"You guys never sleep," said Raphael.
"It was only dangerous, because you were too loud," said Percy.
"I was being attacked, I don't know if I want to be a detective, dude, it is way to dangerous, I rather sleep a night on it," said Milo, as he walked over to his bed and climbed in it.
"That will be a very short night," said Percy.
Percy sat down at his desk and grabbed his recorder.
"Location: Boys' room, the investigation of the door gave me a new main suspect, the headmaster. He may be the source of the footsteps and fingerprints," said Percy. 'He was wearing a necklace with a symbol. I recognized it from somewhere, but I don't remember, I'll have to investigate it further, that's all."
The next morning. Skyla was in her room looking at the drawing of the mark she had made in history class. She still had no idea whether or not she should start telling Arlene everything.
"Mouse, I don't know, Arlene will show up in a bit and I don't know if I can trust her. Yes, I don't know anymore," said Skyla.
The door opened and Anastacia walked into the room.
"Thingy, the staff said breakfast is ready," said Anastacia.
"Oh," said Skyla.
"Are you coming?" Asked Anastacia.
"Go ahead, I'll come in a bit, okay," said Skyla.
Anastacia walked out of the room again. Skyla thought about the girl's words that she said she couldn't trust Arlene.
"Arlene, you can't trust her."
But Skyla was not the only one who had made this sign; Percy had also drawning the symbol. Just after he finished, Milo entered the room, Percy grabbed his recorder.
"I just tried to draw the symbol of the headmaster's necklace, on a comparison scale from one to ten, I give it a seven and a half," said Percy.
"Dude, the headmaster?" Asked Milo, as he walked over to his bed.
"Yeah, he walked out of the secret door after you ran away," said Percy.
"The headmaster is one pretty scary dude. On a scale from one to ten, he score an eleven, he has all kinds of slimy toads in his office," said Milo.
Milo walked up to Percy and saw the drawing he had made.
"Hey, isn't that the symbol of Catgirl? Or should I say Witch Girl," said Milo.
"That is it," said Percy.
Percy thought back to history class and about how Mr. Gibson explained that the sign was a wicca sign. Milo walked over to his bed and pulled the book on witchcraft from under his pillow. Milo went to a page that had the meaning of the symbol, Percy held his drawing next to the book and saw that they were the same.
"They are the same, said Percy.
In the meantime, Skyla was still in her room and still she didn't know what to do. Any moment Arlene could come and Skyla didn't know what to say then.
"I still don't know, Mouse," said Skyla.
The door opened and Arlene walked into the room.
"Hi, you wanted to talk about something with me," said Arlene.
Is Skyla going to tell Arlene everything? Or won't she? Can Arlene really be trusted? Percy and Milo think they have figured out the meaning of the symbol on the principal's necklace? What role does the headmaster play in all this?
