Kevin, the Toad:
Percy was still hiding behind the cupboard in the history classroom, he had seen the history teacher take a book out of his briefcase, which had the same symbol as the principal's necklace. Mr. Gibson went to a page in the book and held up Skyla's drawing to it and they drew the same symbol as in the book. Mr. Gibson put the book back in his bag and left the room. Percy grabbed his recorder.
"Mr. Gibson had a mysterious book, could this be one of the secret books he talked about earlier?" Asked Percy. "He said no one knew where those books are. Yet, he has one. I will investigate this further."
In the meantime, Milo was in Mr. Danbury's office and as his punishment he now had to clean it completely. Milo walked over to the terrarium, when Mr. Danbury wasn't looking, Milo knelt down and opened the cupboard that the terrarium was on. In the cupboard were all insects and Milo got a little scared and nauseous from this, he also saw a picture of a toad lying there. Milo picked up the picture and saw that there was a name written under it, Kevin.
"Kevin," said Milo
Milo wanted to see if there were any more pictures, but then Mr. Danbury stood behind him.
"What are you doing?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
"Nothing," said Milo, as he got up.
"I know you're up to something Mr. Fletcher," said Mr. Danbury.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sir," said Milo.
"Did I give you permission to open that cupboard?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
"No, sir," said Milo.
"We don't like sneaky boys," said Mr. Danbury.
"We?" Asked Milo.
"Or you will continue your punishment, or I will make sure you're unable to use your little hands ever again," said Mr. Danbury.
Milo put his hands behind his back, Mr. Danbury walked back to desk and Milo started cleaning agian.
In the meantime Percy had gone to the library, he was at the computer looking for a book that was about druids, but couldn't find anything in the system. Winnie walked in.
"It's always nice to see a driven student," said Winnie.
Percy quickly turned off the computer and turned to Winnie.
"Can I help you?" Asked Winnie.
"No, I think I can find it myself," said Percy.
Winnie nodded her head and walked away. Percy turned and grabbed his recorder. From behind the bookcase, Winnie spiedon Percy.
Percy turned off his recorder, put it in his pocket and left the library. Winnie walked toward the computer and went to find out what Percy had looked up. When she had discovered what he had looked up, she looked shocked and began to bite nervously on the leg of her glasses.
"Note to self: Be more careful when looking for sources, that's all," said Percy.
In the meantime, Raphael was walking down the hallway, talking to his father on the phone.
"I'm doing my best," said Raphael.
Raphael tunred around and looked at the poster of the auditions of the school musical.
"No, no, I'm not participating in the musical, Yes, I promised that, Yes, fine, bye, dad," said Raphael.
Raphael hung up his phone and put it in his pocket. At the same time, Anastacia walked down the hallway and was on her way to the next class, though she had no idea where it was. She saw Raphael standing and walked up to him, but a student bumped into her.
"Look out! I could've been severely harmed," said Anastacia.
The student quickly walked away and Raphael was gone too. Skyla came walking up.
"Thingy, what class do we've now?" Asked Anastacia
"Musical class," said Skyla.
"At least one worthy class at this stupid school," said Anastacia.
Skyla and Anastacia went to the drama room together and sat down. Ms. Mills came in, she said nothing and sat down behind the piano and began to play. Anastacia didn't really let up and started talking to Skyla.
"In movies they always end up together at very end, yes. At first there are a lot of misunderstandings, but eventually they find each other and live happily ever after," said Anastacia. "It will happen the same way for me and Raphael."
Ms. Mills finished playing and everyone in the class started clapping for her.
"Well, thank you, said Ms. Mills. Well, my musical stars, which one of you has signed up for the auditions? "Who dares to give it a try?"
Anastacia and another female student raised their hands.
"Very well, Anastacia, I knew I could count on you Marie, great," said Ms. Mills. "No one else? Well, you have few days left to sign up. I would think about it if I were you, because it's an amazing opportunity."
No one else raised his or her hand, Skyla looked at Raphael, she had this feeling that he wanted to partcipate in it, but for some reason he didn't. Ms. Mills noticed that Milo was talking and not paying attention.
"Milo?" Asked Ms. Mills.
"Yes, Anastacia," said Milo.
Milo got up and took the stage.
"Would you like to start today?" Asked Ms. Mills.
"Sure," said Milo.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," said Milo.
"Very well, but usually we bow after the performance," said Ms. Mills.
"Okay," said Milo.
"I would like you to…," said Ms. Mills, but Milo already started to sing.
"Anastacia, you're the most beautiful woman in the world! Anastacia!" Sang Milo.
"Wait, wait, wait, stop," said Ms. Mills. "Did I tell you, you could begin?"
"Sometimes I wish not everyone was in love with me, really," said Anastacia.
In the meantime in the headmaster's office. Mr. Danbury was busy feeding his toads.
"Yes, that's a nice snack, here we go," said Mr. Danbury.
Mr. Danbury dropped a cricket in the tank and Winnie walked into the office.
"Mr. Danbury," said Winnie.
"Do we no longer knock?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
"Percy Beckett, sir," said Winnie.
"What did he do?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
"He was looking for a book," said Winnie.
"And that is why you enter my office unannounced?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
"About druids," said Winnie.
"Why are they looking up information about that subject?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
Back in the drama room. Milo, meanwhile, was back in his seat.
"For the next assignment, I need two people, Let's see, Raphael, go on stage," said Ms. Mills.
"Yes," said Raphael.
"And, let's see," said Ms. Mills.
Raphael stood up and took the stage. Anastacia raised her hand, hoping she would be chosen.
"Skyla," said Ms. Mills.
"Don't forget your broom," said Milo.
Skyla got up and walked the stage and Anastacia was not happy about this.
"Hey Witchy, you forgot your broom," said Milo.
"Milo," said Ms. Mills. "Or would you rather play a love scene with Raphael?"
"No, eww," said Milo.
"No, no love scene, you're going to play the same person, one another's mirror image, it sounds easy, but's very difficult, try your best," said Ms. Mills.
Skyla and Raphael turned toward each other and began to make the same motion with their hand, their fingers almost touching.
"Okay, this is very good, but make it more active," said Ms. Mills.
Skyla and Raphael began to move more, only at the last one Skyla took a little too big a step and almost fell off the stage, but Raphael managed to catch her just in time, their faces just a few inches away from each other. Also at that same moment, a girl walked into the classroom.
"Am I one time? Yes, I got lost and my bike has been stolen, not the entire bike, just the handlebar, that makes it quite difficult to use it," said the girl.
"Okay, you can…," said Ms. Mills.
"So I thought I take the bus, then I stood at the bus stop and a huge light burned and I didn't know what it was. And then a spaceship landed in front of me, just out of nowhere, on the road," said the girl.
"Who are you?" Asked Ms. Mills.
"Yes, and I didn't know what happened and aliens emerged and I was very scared, they were going to kidnap me," said the girl.
"If you can just tell me your na…," said Ms. Mills.
"But they only asked for directions to the supermarket, so I brought them to the supermarket. And they gave me a ride as a thank you, but they couldn't park their spaceship, so I had to walk," said the girl.
"And who are you?" Asked Ms. Mills.
"Oh, hi, I'm Lexie," said Lexie.
"Okay, Lexie, maybe take a bike instead of a spaceship," said Ms. Mills.
The bell rang and class was over, the students got up and left the room. Raphael walked off the stage and Ms. Mills walked up to him.
"Can I talk to you?" Asked Ms. Mills.
"Yes," said Raphael.
Skyla watched Raphael as she and Anastacia left the classroom and headed over to their lockers.
"Yes," said Raphael.
"Actually, I should give them my sizes for the musical, the costumes have to fit, of course," said Anastacia.
Lexie also walked up and had caught part of the conversation between Skyla and Anastacia.
"I'm very experienced in musicals as well, Yes, I've played an enchanted carrot in middle school, yes, it seems very easy, but it was very difficult," said Lexie.
"Like I was saying..," said Anastacia, but she was interrupted by Lexie.
Yes, They eye holes are very high, so I didn't see much, so I was almost walking like a penguin, but they didn't notice, because I made it look it was part of the play," said Lexie. "And there was a song, how did it go again?"
"I've played the lead roles a few times at my theater school," said Anastacia.
"Really?" Asked Lexie.
"Yes," said Anastacia.
"You must be great then," said Lexie.
"Yes, they say I'm very talented, Raphael and I will be the perfect duo in the school musical," said Anastacia.
Skyla wasn't really paying attention to what Lexie and Anastacia were saying, and was more concerned about how Raphael was doing.
"I don't understand that someone with so much talent doesn't participate in the musical," said Ms. Mills.
Raphael was thinking about what his father said and that he didn't have time for the musical because it was nonsense according to him anyway. And that if he got distracted, that his father would take him back home and that was something Raphael really didn't want.
"You love playing the piano, right?" Asked Ms. Mills.
"Yes," said Raphael.
"Well, what is holding you back?" Asked Ms. Mills.
"It doesn't fit the way I have to play," said Raphael.
"Raphael, it's about what you want, not your parents, I hope you will think about it, because this would be a missed opportunity for you," said Ms. Mills. "Do you want me to talk to your parents?"
"No, it's not necessary," said Raphael.
Raphael said nothing, he grabbed his bag and left the classroom.
In the meantime, Percy and Milo were in the library. Percy grabbed his recorder to it again.
"The suspicious book of the history teacher isn't in the library, that's all," said Percy.
"Dude, it's one big witch's ploy, Why else does the teacher keep talking about the book with scary rituals? He was wearing a dress," said Milo.
"You mean a cloak," said Percy.
"Whatever, dude, He keeps talking about druids and their rituals, the dude is a witch, and you don't need to be a detective to know. He probably works together with Witchy and the headmaster," said Milo.
"There is no direct evidence for that, a real detective can't just make speculations like that," said Percy.
"We have to stop them, dude. We've to stop them before the take control and turn us into toads. I already saw a picture of a toad with a name on it," said Milo.
"Maybe they are this pets, you give names to pets," said Percy.
"They aren't pets. They are bewitched students, we've to stop them," said Milo. "Do you know how many students live in there?"
"No, how many?" Asked Percy.
"I didn't count, but it were a lot of them, all because of Witchy and the headmaster, Dude, what if they catch us and turn us into toads and
Milo was going through the book on witchcraft while Percy watched with him, both boys didn't realize Mr. Danbury was behind them.
"How do I discover if someone is a witch, with a scale," said Milo.
"What are you gentlemen reading?" Asked Mr. Danbury.
What will happen to Percy and Milo next. Mr. Danbury knows that Percy went looking for information about the druids. And the toads are they really enchanted students as Milo thinks, or are they ordinary toads after all? What does the history teacher have to do with this? And who is Lexie?
