Percy to the Rescue:
Skyla was in Mr. Danbury's office, she had grabbed a toad from the terrarium and was about to give that toad a kiss, until someone put a hand over her mouth.
"Don't be scared, it's me, I'm here help you," said Percy.
Percy removed his hand from Skyla's mouth and Skyla turned to Percy and had no idea where he was helping her.
"You don't have to kiss the toad, I'll put it back," said Percy.
And while Percy grabbed the toad from Skyla's hands, Milo was still standing outside the office and had no idea Percy was in the office.
"When Joseph and the other students walk out of that office, they will be so happy, little witch cat," said Milo. "Anastacia will be so happy, it's just matter of days."
Percy put the toad back in the bin, Skyla was speechless and had no idea what exactly was going on.
"But.. how... why?" Asked Skyla.
"One question at a time," said Percy.
Skyla actually had no idea what she should go ask first, but there was no time for that either because she heard someone walk into the office.
"Hurry, we've to hide," said Percy.
Skyla and Percy quickly hid under Mr. Danbury's desk. Mr. Danbury walked into his office and saw that someone had been touching his terrarium.
"Miserable brats," said Mr. Danbury.
Milo was still standing in the hallway, looking impatiently at his watch.
"How long would it take? Would she be done already?" Asked Milo.
Mr. Danbury put a cloth over the terrarium and then walked toward his desk and sat down. Milo walked toward the office and opened the door.
"Here I am!" Said Milo.
"Mr. Fletcher, who else?" Said Mr. Danbury.
Milo was startled to see Mr. Danbury sitting there and quickly ran away. Mr. Danbury got up and went after Milo. As soon as Mr. Danbury was out of the office, Skyla and Percy came out from under the desk and left the office. Milo had fled to the library; he looked around to see where he could hide, but before he could do so, Mr. Danbury walked into the library.
"Come here, right now," said Mr. Danbury.
Milo turned and walked toward Mr. Danbury.
"I believe I wasn't clear enough last time," said Mr. Danbury.
"But I haven't entered your office, sir, really," said Milo.
"Lying doesn't make it better, do you understand," said Mr. Danbury.
At that same moment, Percy and Skyla walked past the library and Milo watched them.
"It was them, it was them!" Said Milo.
"Be quiet," said Mr. Danbury.
"Sorry," said Milo.
"I've had enough of your behavior, if you enter my office one more time, you can keep my toads company in the terrarium," said Mr. Danbury.
A few moments later, Milo walked through the woods and was on his way to the house.
"We were betrayed. Percy and Witch Girl are working together, I don't know how they got Percy, but they won't get me!" Said Milo.
Milo opened his bag and took out Mouse.
"You know Witch Girl, tell me how I can end the curse? How can I save the toads? You're no use!" Said Milo. "You! You warned them, you've warned them with your witchcraft, thanks to you they know where I am. I'm ahead of you witch cat! I'm ahead!"
Milo looked at Mouse and walked to then toward the bushes and hid Mouse in a tree trunk and then walked away again and he had no idea that he dropped the picture of the toad from his bag.
Meanwhile in the house, Anastacia and Lexie were in the bathroom and Lexie was in the bathtub.
"Actually how often a do you shower? Asked Anastacia.
"Uhm, a day?" Asked Lexie.
"Yes," said Anastacia.
"Once, I guess," said Lexie.
"It should be enough," said Anastacia.
"What do you mean?" Asked Lexie.
"I don't understand why always look like that, maybe your shower is broken? You know what? I'll send someone to you, give me your address," said Anastacia.
The question about her address made Lexie nervous and she threw the bottle on the floor and it broke.
"What did you do?" Asked Anastacia, as she walked over to the bathtub
"I dropped your bottle," said Lexie.
"Oh, this bottle is more expensive than all my other things combined, Well, I'll let them deliver a new one," said Anastacia.
"Okay, that's good," said Lexie.
"Well, you smell a lot fresher now," said Anastacia.
"Yes, right? I thought so too. It always makes me happy and when I'm happy I want to sing," said Lexie.
"Oh, I used to do that too, but not anymore, I save my voice for the musical at the moment," said Anastacia.
Anastacia walked over to the trash can and threw away the shards, Lexie started singing and to Anastacia's surprise, Lexie could sing very well.
In the meantime, Skyla and Percy walked through the woods and were on their way to the house, they found the picture of the toad that Milo had dropped from his bag. Percy's saw footsteps and grabbed his magnifying glass.
"Milo has been here," said Skyla.
"This are his footprints," said Percy.
Percy followed the footsteps and walked toward the bushes and to the tree trunk where Milo, Mouse had hidden.
"We have to find Mouse, said Skyla, as she walked towards Percy.
"No, we don't," said Percy.
"What do you mean we don't have to? Mouse is very important to me, if you think it's stupid because he is a stuffed toy," said Skyla.
"I meant, we don't have to because Mouse is here," said Percy, as he got Mouse out of the tree stump and gave him to Skyla.
"Oh sorry, that is was acting that way, thank you," said Skyla, as she gave Percy hug.
"It's fine," said Percy.
Skyla let go off Percy and gave Mouse a hug, Percy grabbed his recorder and turned it on.
"Location" the woods, Mission save Skyla completed, Mouse is back and Skyla didn't have to kiss toads, that's all," said Percy.
A few hours later, Anastacia, Raphael and Lexie were sitting at the table for dinner. Arlene walked back to the stove with the pan and put the pan on it.
"Do you enjoy it?" asked Arlene.
"It's delicious, it's so cozy here, do you always eat together?" Asked Lexie.
"Yes," said Anastacia.
"Yes?" Asked Lexie.
"Normally, there are more people, very little space," said Anastacia.
"Speaking of the others, where are they? It's getting late," said Arlene.
"Can I have the salt?" Asked Lexie.
"What did you say? How the musical is going? Very good, I'm practicing a lot, but for a talented singer as myself, it's not needed," said Anastacia.
Raphael handed the salt to Lexie and then got up.
"Are you leaving?" Asked Arlene.
"Yes, I'm not hungry," said Raphael.
Raphael left the living room and headed toward his room. Lexie grabbed Raphael's plate and put his food on her plate.
"So about the musical, I love it, I've entered too," said Lexie.
"You signed up for the auditions?" Asked Anastacia.
"Yes, fun, right?" Asked Lexie.
A few moments later, Percy and Skyla were home and walked toward Percy's room.
"You can walk with me to my room," said Percy.
"I think it's better if I go home," said Skyla.
"Home? But this is home, right?" Asked Percy.
"No, I mean my real house, I don't belong here," said Skyla.
"Is it because of Milo? You're not a witch, I saw the symbol you drew during the class in a book Mr. Gibson, I heard you say it's supposed to be upside down," said Percy.
Milo walked into the hallway and walked toward Percy and Skyla.
"So witch cat did warn you via witchcraft, if you think I'll quit, you don't know Milo yet," said Milo.
"If you listen to me, instead of drawing conclusions," said Percy.
"And you snap out of the witch spell!" Said Milo. "I'll save the toads, ever if it's the last thing I do."
Milo looked at Skyla with a warning look and then walked toward his room.
"You see? It's better if I go home," said Skyla.
"No, I want to show you what I have discovered in the book, don't go, later in the bathroom, knock 3 times," said Percy.
In the meantime, Arlene walked into Kent's study and he just hung up the phone after getting a call from Mr. Danbury and he did not look happy.
"What are the children doing the Hubert's office after school?" Asked Kent.
"I don't know," said Arlene.
"You need to know what they're doing, if those children discover what we're going to do with them, they're going to run away and we won't be able to revive Ewan," said Kent. "We only have one change for each incorporation, if the children aren't here at the right time, then Ewan will remain a spirt forever."
"I'll watch them even closer," said Arlene.
"Who is that girl?" Asked Kent.
"Lexie, she is a friend of Anastacia, I couldn't send her home," said Arlene.
"As long as she doesn't get in our way," said Kent.
"I'll make sure of that," said Arlene.
"Ewan and I will get that sword, no one will stop us," said Kent.
Arlene left the study. Kent sat down at his desk and continued preparations for the first incorporation.
A few hours later and it was almost time for bed, Skyla already had her pajamas on and was sitting in her window seat with Mouse in her arms.
"Do you think I should stay?" Asked Skyla. "Yes, I'm staying until I know what Percy has discovered."
Skyla got up put Mouse under her pillow and then left her room, at exactly the same time Anastacia and Lexie entered the room.
"Is your food always so delicious? I loved it," said Lexie, as she pointed and walked over to the bunk bed. "Does no one sleep there?"
"Wait, wait, wait, rule 2: No sudden moves when you're near me," said Anastacia.
"Okay," said Lexie.
"Sorry, you've to go home," said Anastacia.
"I almost never have sleep over, I promise to follow your rules, and clean your eye products," said Lexie.
"Don't you have parents?" Asked Anastacia.
"No, of course, I do, I mean, I do have parents, if I'm home too late, they lock the door and the house is soundproof, So I can't enter and they won't hear me. So I'll have to sleep outside in the chicken den," said Lexie.
"But you can call them?" Asked Anastacia.
"They don't have a phone," said Lexie.
"Then how did you call them the first time?" Asked Anastacia.
Lexie got nervous when Anastacia asked about her parents and tried to think of something to change the subject.
"Did you know Raphael really wanted to perform with you during Musical class?" Asked Lexie.
"Oh?" Said Anastacia.
"Yes, yes, I've noticed a lot more between you and Raphael," said Lexie.
"What?" Asked Anastacia.
"I could talk about it for hours, but I do have to stay here then," said Lexie.
"I'll arrange it, yes, well, tell me," said Anastacia.
Anastacia and Lexie sat down on Anastacia's bed.
"Okay, well during Musical class we had to pair up, right?" Asked Lexie.
"Yes," said Anastacia.
"Well, he wanted to go with you, but he stubbed his toe and couldn't walk, it's quite difficult to walk without a toe," said Lexie.
"Yes," said Anastacia.
"So he had to sit down the whole time," said Lexie.
In the meantime, Percy was already in the bathroom looking through the book, he also looked at the burns on his fingers. There was a knock on the door three times, Percy walked up to the door and opened it and Skyla walked into the bathroom, Percy grabbed his recorder and turned it on.
"Location: Bathroom, the door is locked, Skyla is in, we can begin," said Percy.
"That rhymes," said Skyla.
Percy couldn't help but laugh a little at Skyla's comment, he turned off his recorder and put it back in his pocket.
"I'm glad that didn't go home," said Percy.
"Yes," said Skyla.
"That's what I wanted to show you," said Percy.
Percy and Skyla walked over to the book and sat down.
"This is a witch symbol, but if you turn it around like you saw, it's a druid mark, it means passage or portal," said Percy.
"So it isn't a witch symbol?" Asked Skyla.
"No," said Percy.
"And what is this?" Asked Skyla, as she pointed to the page.
"It's a Celtic stone circle, there are a lot of notes next to it, probably written by Mr. Gibson, but I haven't investigated them yet," said Percy.
Skyla looked at the image of the stone circle in the book, but then she also noticed the burns on Percy's fingers.
"How did you get that?" Asked Skyla.
"This proof that strange things don't only happens to you," said Percy.
Percy moved toward the special section of the book.
"This happened when I tried to open this chapter," said Percy.
"Didn't the teacher say something about that?" Asked Skyla.
The bathroom door was opened from the outside and Arlene walked into the bathroom.
"Sorry, I didn't know someone was inside," said Arlene.
Were Skyla and Percy now caught by Arlene? Would she have seen the book? Would Skyla and Percy find out what was in the book? And what about Lexie anyway? Does she have something to hide?
