And here we are again folks. Sentinel is getting another chapter out for your enjoyment.
Oh, let's get this outta the way right now. Warning, warning. This chapter has a character death, soooooo if you have to take meds to keep from freaking out you know what you need to do. Anyway, I said I would give you fair warning and now you have it.
I want to thank everyone who has read, faved, alerted or reviewed this work. Speaking of reviews, I guess I'd better answer some of them, so here we go: CB73, yes dominoes. Eric/Hans has planned this in detail, so you have to expect some of the plan is going to work. Kim delusional? Yeah, she's trying to have her cake and eat it too. Again, Eric is a master at playing teenaged females. His pay day counts on it. Monique? The girl will eat a lot of crow when this is over; Uberscribbler, take your blood pressure meds bud. In truth, this story shows that there really isn't a totally 'white' person (except for a few); Gj agent, by he you mean Eric? Yeah, more of that to follow. Hans/Eric knows the weakness in Team Possible (which he has a contract to break up) and that is Ron and the key to Ron is his family.
Guest, the Possibles will find out, but not till the very end of book 2; Bobtrumpet, yay more chapters (actually halfway through 92, it should end in 96). Ron is doing what he does best…..cooking. Resurrection powers? Please elaborate; shtar, yes it was….too bad about this one though.
Jimmy1201, Yes, Ron does have friends. Eric~Satan? Hand in hand. Yup Ronnie boy is cooking. Reputations tend to follow you around….Drakken? Not at the moment. Nancy? She is in the Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant and works full time as a nurse….so she is wayyyyyy older than Ron.
So, again I want to thank the reviewers. Here I also want to thank CajunBear73 for all his work as my beta both now and over the last fifty years.
So, let's get this show on the road,

The Hunter: Book Two
Chapter 28
Middleton High:
The former linebacker chuckled as he sipped his soda in the library (against school rules BTW…AN), "So, this means you are gainfully employed again, right Stoppable?"
Ron leaned back in his chair and reached in to his backpack and pulled out a thick note book and handed it to his friend, "YeP. The Ronman is employable again. (the 'P' was accentuated…AN) and this is for you and Curt. It might be worth some cash to a publisher."
"What is it?", Tank inquired.
"A manuscript of a cookbook, I wrote several of them. Dave, Josh, Wheels and my new place of employment each got one.", Ron explained.
"So, we each get a copy…"
"No, you guys each get an original, the recipes aren't the same."
"What is mine…ours, include?"
"Authentic Spanish style cooking including Mexican, Tex-Mex, Peruvian and other styles of cooking in Central and South America. Josh's is French, Dave's is Italian, and Felix's is Greek, Russian…you know basically what's left in Europe."
"Are there meat pies in here…I'm of Norwegian heritage.", Woodson explained, "On my mom's side."
Ron shuddered for some reason, "Uh no, I sorta left that out."
"Okay, so, how do you know these books will be worth money, Stoppable?"
"I put a lot of research into each of them and signed them and since I have been in major chef periodicals, the name Ron Stoppable is known. All have my signature in them, I also have a Japanese book and a Chinese book as well. I don't know who'll get them. I was going to give Rockwaller the one on Jewish cooking, but with her boyfriend she doesn't need the cash."
"Why is that?", Tank inquired.
"Junior's old man has more money than G_d…well, the Catholic Church.", Ron informed his friend.
"Why are you giving this stuff away?"
"Well, that's a good question Tank, you know that Kim's squeeze is suing my parents…well me, since like, they won't care anymore, and it looks like he is getting the house within the next month, and I don't want that a-hole to get anything valuable. I've already off-loaded stuff onto Wade and some of my stuff is at Felix's in their basement. Eric may get some things, but he isn't going to get anything worth much, other than the house.", Ron informed his older friend, "I might even stop cleaning the place and get some mold started."
"I thought he had a place…"
"He does, but you know how some people are…they want to lord over people who they think are below them.", Ron muttered.
"You're awful calm about being taken to the cleaners and losing your home to an asshole, Stoppable…"
"I accept that it is going to happen, not happy about it, but there isn't much I can do so freaking out at this point won't do me or my sister any good. And she can tell when I tense up and it's costing me what little sleep, I usually get, so that's the reason why.", Ron told his friend.
"Yeah, I guess I understand. Are you still planning on moving to Lowerton after you graduate, Ron?"
The blond teen pulled his elbow across his chest to stretch it out and replied, "Yeah, there's not much for me here 'cept for you, Curt, Mike and some of the others from the team. I might even drive in with Hanna sometimes during the next season to take in a game and I'll keep attending Temple here."
"Ron,", Tank laughed as he opened the cover of the large-assed notebook and glanced inside, "you sound like an old man."
The relaxed former running back grinned, "I am what I is."
"How are you doing…now?", Woodson inquired.
"As well as can be expected, everyone has been helping me…sigh...I owe everyone, all the guys…."
"I heard you and Possible got called out on an emergency, flooding and stuff."
"Yeah, well we weren't working together. She was working as an EMT and the guys I was hanging with were mostly filling sandbags and reinforcing some levees because of the melting snow.", Ron explained.
"Are you back at the firehouse?"
"No, on a leave of absence, Tank, until…well, I guess I'm gone from there until I can find a twenty-four-hour caregiver for the rugrat. I did like that job, it was fun."
"Dangerous too, Stoppable, or have you forgotten about falling into a fire last fall."
"Tank, being a school crossing guard can be just as dangerous.", Ron countered.
"Are you working tonight at your new job?"
"Yeah, five to ten-thirty. I have pickup Hanna from the hospital nursery and stop by the house and get her some grub and a restocking of diapers first."
"And then what are you doing after you get her home from work?"
"I'll get her a bath and ready for bed, then I either clean the house then study till about two and hit the rack."
"What time do you get up?"
"Around five.", the now retired high school running back responded.
"Shit, you are an idiot Stoppable."
"So, sue me. It's a little rough being a guardian of an infant, go to school and work at the same time.", Ron grunted.
"You are burning the candle at both ends again asshole, you'd better hope your sister doesn't pay for you being stupid with your health."
Ron's eyes narrowed, "Thanks for the input, I appreciate it."
"You could have one of the guys clean your house for you…"
"And do my homework for me too? Listen Tank, you guys have been spending too much time helping me out, I mean I appreciate everything, but you guys have lives too. I have ta make my way…I wanna keep my friends you know. I don't want them to feel like they need to help me out because I am pathetic…"
"I was right, you are an asshole, all people need help at times even heroes. The world took a dump on you and your sister, and you need help, so let us help. Anyway, you are not pathetic.", Tank snorted out as he was a little annoyed by his friend.
"You gonna disagree with Sarge Barkin? I'm no hero bud, but the way this is going you guys might want to stay away from me and Sis, so the world doesn't screw with you.", Ron advised still trying to warn his friends off, "It'd really be bad if Dave or Liz or Felix or any of my friends get into shit because they are close to me."
"What about the place you are working? They could end up being targets too.", Woodson pointed out as Dave and Liz Sours walked up.
"They could,", Ron admitted, "but I think that a Marine Gunnery Sergeant and his Jarhead buddies might be able to handle their own if something goes down, they are always packing heat and they know how to use their pieces. Anyway, that book might make them enough money so they can either relocate or start a new eatery."
Dave and Liz sat down; then, she started up, "I read through that book and showed it to my mom and all she said was 'what the…'. She didn't know all the different sauces and one of her cousins has his own eatery. She didn't even know there were some recipes that didn't have sauces, like back from the Middle Ages."
"Yeah, well a little history never hurt anybody Liz. I mean I hoped you guys liked it…."
"Mom already tried out a couple of them, she was impressed."
Dave added, "Both our moms were impressed. How much work did you put into that?"
The former Middleton Mad Dog thought for a moment then informed them, "Well some…err most of the background data came from the Library of Congress, Kim and I had a three-day mission in DC and well she had two days of talks and Wade got me in there 'cause I'm this big-time sidekick and all and I was able to make notes while she was speaking to some Congressional committee or other about something I have no idea about. That library is huge. Though, old lady Hatchett would love it 'cept she wouldn't like all the talking."
Dave frowned, "You put a lot of work into these books?"
"Yeah, I mean when Kim went on dates and stuff", sigh, "I worked on them since, otherwise I'd be crying in my slurpster. Mom and Dad liked me experimenting in the kitchen, they got to sample the results.", Ron explained.
Liz reached out and touched the blond teen's arm, "You don't need to go through this alone Ron…"
"Yeah, I do…Hey, I have a question?", the sidekick inquired.
Dave replied, "What's that?"
"Why are you doing an in-school jip like what I am hearing about?"
"Meh, the seniors decided to cut class today…Rockwaller was behind it, I think she wanted to stick it in Barkin's ass.", Dave informed his friend as a beaming Liz Sours nodded.
Ron grinned as he stated, "Welp if everybody else who is anybody is jipping this joint there is no reason for little ole me to be here either."
Liz giggled, "What can they do to you Ron? Send a note to your parents?"
The former running back laughed, "Maybe to my sister since she seems to run my life for the most part. See ya."
"Where are you going?", Dave inquired.
"In to work early to make some extra cash, later."
Tank stared at his QB friend and the petite cheerleader, "Stoppable works his guts out, he's in that place almost every day."
Dave Alberts responded, "Ron knows the money from the insurance policies are not going to last, he feels he has to do something. He's squirreled most of it way, I heard he's looking at places to live. Why is that?"
"Possible's boyfriend sued Ron's parents for the house, and it looks like he's going to win…so our friend is moving to Lowerton after we graduate."
Dave snapped, "That is bullshit!"
"Not arguing with you Dave, but maybe Ron needs to get out of this town and make a new start. He's got a job and it looks like temporary housing until after graduation.", Tank informed his friend, "Listen, I have an overnight shift to cover for one of our guys. I can get some early sleep, so I don't crash tomorrow. Like Ron said, 'later'."
Dave smiled, "See ya in the morning."
XX
The sidekick headed back to the locker rooms and slipped through an outside door as he muttered to himself, "Who wants to be in school anyway?"
Our hero didn't see a large flat-topped man behind him as he exited the school.
XX
"GF, this is way cool. We need to do this a couple more times before we graduate.", Monique Jenkins laughed to her red-headed BFF as they walked down the hall towards their lockers.
An annoyed Kim Possible muttered, "Moni, this isn't right. We could all end up in D-Hall over this."
"So, I've never been, but you should see your face. It almost matches your hair. Just think, the whole senior class will be in detention all at the same time, it'll overload the system.", the African American young woman chuckled.
"I am so gonna give Bonnie a piece of my mind if this so much as costs me any time with Eric.", Kim told her.
"BCGF.", the fashionista replied.
"Huh?"
"Be. Cool. Girlfriend.", Monique rolled her eyes, "All seniors do this once in a while, it's tradition all across the country."
"I think it's a dumb one 'Nique, Eric said they don't have jip days in England, he said it was a waste of time.", Kim countered.
"Did he take off?", Monique asked.
"Yeah…", she drawled out.
"Then you are saying that Eric is a hypocrite, GF? Anyway, you'll both be in detention together."
"I did not say that…"
"Betcha Stoppable and most of the cheer squad have disappeared by now.", the fashionista countered.
The heroine responded, "They know better, and Ron is sometimes little more than a child."
"Well GF, your lifelong friend is planning on leaving town right after graduation from what the four one-one says.", Monique informed her friend.
"Huh?" Then Kim thought about it for a moment, "Moni, what are you talking about?"
"The gossip is that one Ron Stoppable is moving to Lowerton after graduation. He can't work in Middleton from what my sources are telling me and so he is planning on giving his house to your boyfriend to settle a lawsuit against his 'rents…Ron is already working out of town most days after school.", Monique revealed.
"I…uh,", Kim stopped for a moment since this gobsmacked her, "Eric sued Ron's 'rents?"
"According to the rumor mill; yes. My sources also tell me that there was a gag order on the proceedings because Eric didn't want anyone to know. I guess your BF hurt his back…"
Sigh, "I guess I should talk to Eric, I…I was there when it happened, if it's what I think it is…maybe I can find out what is going on… and diffuse this problem before it gets any worse.", the red head didn't want to say anything bad about her boyfriend now and she knew her temper could and would get her into trouble. Of course, Kim also didn't understand that her ego wouldn't really stand up in the court system.
"Don't know, GF. Anyway, I don't know how much worse it can get towards Stoppable, but the guys on the football team are tweaked at your BF."
Sigh, "…I didn't know Ron got a new job. Where is he working?", Kim didn't want to fight the whole damned school over her squeeze and how he seemed to tweak them occasionally.
Monique explained to Kim, "Some Marine themed diner out towards Lowerton. The goof got the job there and is planning on living in Lowerton since he's losing the house, but like I said all that is just a rumor. Most of Stoppable's friends don't really say much to me now. They won't even tell Brick stuff about that blond idiot friend of yours."
"I think I know where the place is.", Kim responded about the diner where Ron had taken her for breakfast once in the fall.
The fashionista brightened hoping to get her apology taken care of before much longer and suggested, "We could go out for a bite to eat…"
"I have a date tonight with Eric, 'Nique.", Kim tried to defer.
"Bring him along."
"Uh, that place is a greasy spoon, Eric doesn't do well at those kinds of places.", the red head revealed.
"I didn't know Mister Handsome's constitution was so fragile Kim. If it's a problem, I'll go over there by myself then."
Sigh, "Let me call my BF to see if he can make plans with the guys he lives with.", Kim huffed as she pushed the 'connect' button on her wrist unit.
Moments later Wade's holographic image appeared, "Hey Kim, what's up?"
"Can you get hold of Eric? I don't know if he has his Kimmunicator or his cell today."
"Sure Kim, I'll check them both.", the genius responded (there was the sound of typing in the background), "I got him on his cell. Call me if you need anything else."
"Thanks Wade, you rock.", the heroine responded.
XX
Wade broke his end of the conversation (he only listened in, although he recorded always, in certain situations like Ron's termination with Smarty Mart…AN), and checked again for the fourth time to make sure that some programs had been deleted or denatured on the unit Kim had given to Eric the previous fall, seeing that confirmation back from the old unit that the orders had been completed and confirmed, the genius chuckled to himself, "If that English snob wants anything valuable out of Kim's old unit he is going to have to come to the source…ME, since I have patents pending on most of that technology."
XX
"Yes, this is Eric…."
"Hi, honey. I uh know we have something planned tonight and 'Nique wants to go to this greasy spoon place on the way to Lowerton and she asked me. So, are you up for that tonight?", Kim inquired from her 'squeeze'.
"Ah, Kimberly I am not sure what this place you are talking about is. Could you tell me more?", the 'English teen' asked in response as he put his SIG down on the table for the firing line.
Kim explained, "A 'greasy spoon' is slang term for a lower class of restaurant, the food is more the type of things that most people eat. It's a popular place to go eat."
"Kimberly, you know how I feel about mundane food. I am used to quality food, to help maintain my health. My parents went out of their way to make sure that their family always had the best quality food and preparation. Therefore, I must decline your offer for this evening's repast.", Eric calmly stated, "I will dine with my associates instead. Maybe, we can go out tomorrow evening?"
"Thanks boyfriend, I would like that. I'll call you later tonight, if that's alright."
"Certainly Kimberly, till this evening.", then the connection shut down.
Monique could hear the whole conversation and said, "Wow, at least your BF is understanding."
Sigh, "Yeah, I'm glad I have Eric. He is so…so much more than the other boys I've ever dated. He is so sophisticated and not well…high schoolish."
"And your 'rents know about you living with him in England while you go to college there?", Monique asked to make sure she was 'current' on the situation.
"They do Monique…It will be so romantic, and I will be getting a first-class education. While doing it all with no adult supervision."
The fashionista chuckled, "That's Brick and my plan as well. I think we're going to move in together in the spring semester. I will be nineteen then."
"I will be too, Wade has been checking into having the Sloth flown over there although mission time with Team Possible is going to end right after graduation.", Kim reacted.
Monique avoided the world saving thing for a moment, "Don't they drive on the wrong side of the road?"
"Yeah, they do, but I have an AI in the Sloth and it will be safe so that I don't have to have a co-driver.", Kim explained.
"I guess that's safe enough if geek boy has his fingerprints on it. So, did you break it to Stoppable that your days at saving the world are numbered?", Monique asked as they reached the heroine's locker.
"Yeah, I did after he knocked me silly before he went to Japan the last time.", Kim reminded her best friend girlfriend.
"Are you retiring now or wait till graduation Kim?"
"We're still doing missions when they come up until graduation.", the red head informed her friend as she opened her locker.
Taking out the books that she needed, Kim rechecked the homework that was due soon and put them into her backpack along with her notebook that had her assignment schedule.
"Want to out for a snack before we go to see if Stoppable is working tonight, Kim?", the gossip queen of Middleton High inquired. "I was planning on doing some shopping at the mall and check-in at Club Banana."
"Yeah, it sounds like fun, but I need to stop at home before we go."
XX
The ranch:
"Who was that?", Otto inquired.
"My girlfriend.", Hans/Eric responded as he slapped home another magazine.
"Well, what did she want?"
"She invited me to some quaint diner…", he snarked. "I don't understand, I take her to good restaurants, and she wants to eat at this lower-class place. It is a good thing that her dreams of going to college with me next year will not come true. It will be enjoyable to see the look on her face when she realizes that she has helped to destroy her lifelong friend and his family.", Eric chortled as he set the SIG down on the pedestal and placed his hearing protection back on over his ears.
Hans you should have accompanied Miss Possible, you never know when you will learn something which will aid us on our mission. Knowledge is power.", Otto reminded his nephew.
Hans/Eric frowned, "What kind of information could I have learned, uncle?"
"I do not know, but since you have decided not to go to this eatery with Miss Possible you can participate in our operations tonight. You can use the experience.", Otto instructed.
"What have you done?"
"Making you into a more rounded operative, I won't be around forever to hold your hand and since you wanted both of these done you can take an active role.", the older German responded.
XXX
The Jar Head Diner:
"Early Ron?", Mac asked the blond teen who was carrying his raven-haired sister.
"Yeah Gunny, we got outta school early and you always said I can get extra hours, so I am taking you up on it, sorry about no notice though."
"We're a little slow right now, I'll have Nancy set up the play pen for the cutie. While she's doing that, I'll get you to work ahead, we have a party coming in at fifteen hundred.", the former Marine informed his favorite cook.
"Thanks Gunny, I'll get changed and get started in the kitchen."
"Let me have your sister then."
Hanna Stoppable had been through this procedure several times and although normally quiet she clapped her hands together at the prospect of the gruff manhandling her. (Of course, Gunny Worschter had watched over recruits in boot camp and handling the tot was a lot easier than yelling at some newbie who couldn't get straight his left foot or his right…AN)
X
"You sure this is the place, Kim? It doesn't look like much although there seem to be a lot of cars in the parking lot.", Monique Jenkins commented.
Sigh, "Wade checked it out, you heard him.", Kim replied, "Anyway, the last time I was here if I remember correctly, it wasn't as busy."
XXX
Drakken's hidey hole:
"Any more intelligence on Kim Possible's buffoon, Shego?"
"Like I told you before, Stoppable's parents are both dead. One, the father, appears to be from an accident, while the mother…she was murdered in her hospital room. And it looks like Possible is backing out of bad guy bustin'…at least for a while. I don't know if we want to take advantage of this though, since the armed services and police forces might be taking up the slack.", the mint-hued former heroine informed her blue-skinned boss.
"Maybe we should stay in the background for now Shego, if the cops think we had anything to do with an assassination they might pull the trigger first instead of arresting us. At least in the case of Stoppable, that is.", Drakken told her.
Sigh, "I agree, this stinks to high heaven and I think we need to speak with Senior. I know he threatened Sheldon a while back when we informed them that we didn't want to go further in taking out Kimmie and her once boytoy."
"Once boytoy? You mean Kimberly and the buffoon were dating?", Drakken gaped.
"Yeah, Kimmie found herself a new squeeze…guess who he looks like?", Shego asked to see just how dumb her boss was.
"You know I don't pay attention…"
"Syntho…Nine…O…one.", Shego told him.
"Huh? Where did she find someone who looked like that drone? Now I admit I have good taste…"
"He was my idea, remember?"
"Uh, not really. That's why I was taking all those notes. Should I go back to taking them again?"
"No, but I want some of that drug that I take for changing my skin color so I can blend in, I want to observe the Princess and Stoppable covertly.", Shego told her boss.
"Meh, you'll have to wait a few hours Shego and I'll have a batch ready for you. Remember it is only good for about sixty hours before the drug loses its effects."
"I remember, I'm just surprised that you do.", Shego snarked as she turned back to the newsfeed on the computer.

The Jar Head Diner:
The two teenagers entered the eatery as one of the staff, Nancy, met them, "We have two booths and six tables left, which would you prefer?"
Monique said, "A booth please."
"Sure, this way.", Nancy Worschter replied as she picked up two menus and led them to a booth along the front wall.
Once Nancy sat the two teens and handed them their menus she stated, "We serve breakfasts all day, but you are coming in at the end of lunch. We do have dinner available at the moment since our night cook is in."
Monique brightened, "Diners like this usually have specials, do you?"
"Uh, yeah. We are having meatloaf as the special tonight; the cook is very good at making something very tasty. He has his own cookbooks and has featured in several chef magazines.", Nancy informed them.
Kim frowned, "I think I have a friend who works here, or so I've been told."
Nancy smiled, "This is a family run business Miss, I would know."
Monique butt in, "Ron Stoppable…"
"Oh! Ron's the new cook and very talented, he can cook for me anytime. It's a wonder that someone like Pace's hasn't scooped him up. Anyway, Dad says he's happy to be working here."
"He's that good?", Monique Jenkins inquired.
"Dad said he is and my father spent four years at culinary school and worked for a very good chef for a while before he decided to move to Colorado to open this place.", Nancy informed the African-American teen.
"Uh, what's with the name of the place?", Kim asked.
Nancy stood erect like her father taught her as a child, "Dad retired from the Marine Corps and is very proud of serving our country, he spent half his life at sea away from home. He's a retired Gunnery Sergeant."
"Oh, I thought it was something else Ma'am. If Ron has a moment, could you send him out to our booth, I'd like to speak with him. Tell him Kim Possible is here."
Nancy raised an eyebrow, "You're the one who's allergic to him?"
"Uh yeah…"
"He told us about the suit he has to wear when he's around you and I'm not sure he has it on at the moment.", Nancy informed Kim.
"I uh…"
"I'll check Miss Possible and will be back to get your order in a few, I see I have other people to seat. Sigh, the word musta got out that Stoppable is in early. He's gonna have a long day."
As 'Nancy' left Monique raised her eyebrow as she saw a 'bulge' under the woman's shirt where said shirt covered the top of her jeans.
"Shit GF, that gal is packin'."
"Huh 'Nique?", Kim responded.
"She has a gun on her."
Our heroine rolled her eyes and informed her BFGF since she was current on the law being an EMT, "Her Father retired from the Marines, I think she has more than an idea about firearms safety, and come to think of it, this is out in the county where concealed carry laws are a little laxer than they are in Middleton."
"I just don't think it's safe Kim…"
The red head glanced around the room and noticed several such 'bulges' then related, "It looks like at least six people are, as you say, packin', Monique. I wouldn't be too worried about being accosted or robbed in here."
The fashionista was used to people carrying guns in her old neighborhood but wasn't used to people in more rural areas doing the same thing. These guys were older, and it looked like some of them had been in the military by the way they carried themselves.
XX
"Hey Ron?", Nancy Worschter asked, "You gotta minute?"
"Yeah, let me move these platters over to the table first, I have ta slice them up.", the blond teen responded.
When he was done, she inquired, "Do you know a Kim somebody, red hair…she's out at twenty-three with a black girl."
Ron rolled his eyes then asked, "Wait a minute, I'll look."
Ten seconds later:
"Yup, that's the world-famous heroine, Kim Possible, and her sometimes flunky, Monique Jenkins; I told you guys I was her sidekick.", Ron revealed as he blew on his knuckles and wiped them on his shirt, "I wonder what she's doing out here?"
Mac called out to Ron while he flipped four steaks, "We gotta move, Stoppable!"
"Yeah, that's my phone ringing. Listen, I have ta drain the potatoes and mash them up before I get to cutting the meatloaf. I'll come out if I can, but we're sorta rushed right now, Nancy. Can you check on your mom to see how she's doing with Hanna?"
"I'll check, that kid is a handful."
Ron laughed, "If you had spikes driven in the walls and ceiling it would make Sis more agile."
"She doesn't need to be more agile you dingbat. I swear when Dad takes care of her, he looks like he got out of the obstacle course."
Ron turned to get the potatoes off the monster stove and had a huge strainer in the sink to keep the taters pristine while he drained the boiling water off.
X
Thirty minutes later:
"How was your dinner?", Nancy asked the teens.
Kim replied, "That was the best meatloaf I've ever had. Who made it?"
"Stoppable, sorry he hasn't been out here, but the kitchen is a little chaotic right now."
"Can I go back to speak with him?", Monique inquired.
"Okay, but you have to wear a hair net and an apron…and wash your hands.", Nancy instructed.
Once she was done, Nancy escorted the gossip queen of Middleton High into the kitchen where she saw the blond teen flipping a grill full of steaks and then checked something on the stove. "You are busy Stoppable."
Without looking Ron Stoppable responded, "Umm yeah, cooks are usually moving fast at peak periods, in a few hours it'll lighten up a little and then I'll get Sis something to eat."
"Where is she?"
"Upstairs, Mac's wife is watching her while doing some laundry."
Said Mac turned around from peeling spuds, "When you have time Ron, we need to discuss that new sauce you made for me last week."
"Which sauce? I had you try three of them last week.", the blond teen pointed out, then said, "I heard Kim came over. Hope you guys enjoyed whatever you got."
"We had the meatloaf special; it was good. The waitress recommended it."
Ron chuckled, "Mom's recipe is a pain in the ass to make, but it sells pretty good. Listen, I have ta get back to work or Mac is gonna have my guts for Missus W's garters. Thanks for coming in."
Said Mac assured the woman, "We aren't this crazy all the time, but some jerk let out that Ron was making meatloaf today. He only does it twice a week, but the goofball is right, we still have the supper rush to finish."
Monique turned around and walked out of the kitchen then stopped, "Oh, I came in to apologize for the way I treated you…"
"Thanks,", Ron replied then muttered to himself after she left, "but most of this was your fault, Monique."
After she was gone, Gunny asked, "She's the source of your problems?"
"Not the source, but she sure didn't help things out either."
"I see, Stoppable everyone has people like that in their lives.", Mac told the teen.
"I know, but I didn't need that attitude then and I sure don't need it now boss."
X
Mac stretched as Connie handed Hanna to Ron, "A good night. We were busy all damned day, setting up for dinner is one of the best money schemes I have ever come up with."
Connie chided her husband, "Ron's help is what is making it work."
The blond teen responded, "If I didn't have childcare I couldn't do it, so it's a big help for me."
XXX
Three men wearing masks walked into the convenience store. One of them walked right up to the clerk and pulled out a semi-auto pistol. "All money in the register…NOW!"
Tank Woodson glanced around then shrugged his shoulders and opened up the cash register, put his hands up and stepped back.
