The Hunter: Book Two

Chapter 32

Welcome back to Sentinel's little corner of hell. I am including something from Jimmy1201 (since he edited this chapter). I have completed chapter 94 and have sent it off. Things get rough in chapter 94 BTW, uh that's a hint for those of you are on meds.

I want to thank both betas for their work and I also want to thank everyone who has read, followed, faved, alerted or reviewed. AND speaking of reviews let's get into them: Bobtrumpet, I think Jack has some pretty fine small statues and sometimes he gets annoyed. Let's face it, Hench is there to make money. And for Jacob, well he doesn't think that the stuff he's done is as bad as those who have been in charge before. Also he feels the need to protect Ron because of the previous fall's events; Slayer, Kimmie is more than a typical teen girl when going after the hottie boys….go ahead and prove me wrong, two words…. Josh Mankey. Just the episode with the artist shows that off; CB73, yes. No one knows her Kimness as been affected by drugs. While Hank Perkins works with techno villains he also does some 'honest' work or he'd find himself disbarred quicker than the Road Runner could suck the coyote into dropping a safe on himself.

Jimmy1201, the feds moving fast? You've been paying attention to the news haven't you? And yes, CB has dibbs on Hans' final days although I think a couple bottles of GOOD Scotch may change my mind. I mean making $$$ off this would be a first…

[J: Sentinel has declared this to be a gritty chapter. So, what is 'gritty?' says:

grit· ty | \ ˈgri-tē

\

grittier; grittiest

Definition of gritty

1 : containing or resembling grit

2 : courageously persistent : PLUCKY

/ a gritty heroine

3 : having strong qualities of tough uncompromising realism

/ a gritty novel

In the-10-greatest-gritty-movies/

Jan Griffin says "The word "gritty" is often used by reviewers to describe films which portray graphic physical violence, lone wolf characters, and probably a line of coke or two. While I feel that's accurate, my own personal definition for a gritty film differs slightly. If I describe a film as gritty, expect it to be both emotionally and physically violent and draining. I should use the phrase, "it made me want to crawl in a cave for two weeks to recover," and mean it as a compliment (I have actually said that about a couple films on the list below).

The combination of unpleasantness in plot and honorable drive in characters seems to draw audiences to these types of films. Many times, there is a moral code established (not necessarily in conjunction with civil codes) and the protagonists follow these moral codes to their ends. More often than not, destruction conquers over redemption. Personally, this tends to make the films less watchable than most other movies. This does not speak to their quality, because often they're of the highest echelon, but rather speaks to the visceral nature of their content."

I think that Sentinel's definition of gritty certainly includes graphic physical violence, lone wolf characters, a combination of unpleasantness in plot and honorable drive in characters, and that "it made the reader want to crawl in a cave for two weeks to recover," There is no PLUCKY in his definition.]

Well maybe this one won't be as 'gritty' as the others….we'll see.

Thanks for that Jimmy, have you ever drunk slivovitz? Yes, it's an acquired taste, but I'm sure you'd like it…right before you passed out. Yes, when you go to bed to sleep it off you still have to put your foot on the floor to keep the room from spinning.

So, I just said to Jimmy that this chapter was going to be a little 'gritty' and you can see where it went.

The previous is from Jimmy, but let's get this one on the road.

The Stoppable home:

"Thanks for helping me move the crib and munchkin furniture and the last of the stuff guys," Ron told the friends who were helping him move to his new digs at the Renton house.

Dave asked, "Are you sure you don't want the scooter?"

"Nah, let Eric have that POS unless one of you guys want it. Maybe it'll blow up on him and singe his friends. Kim will sure be annoyed that he can't take care of her."

Mike Little looked at the calamity that had helped save the world and raised his hand, "I'll take it Ron."

"License, title and registration are in the saddlebag, bring the title over and give me a buck and I'll sign it over to make it all legal big guy," Ron smiled seeing that Eric wouldn't even get that thing. The blond teen had already left the dishwasher full of dirty dishes and he hoped it would be a few weeks before Thornbottom or his cronies even checked the place out. He had already had the electric, phone, gas and water shut off along with the trash removal.

X

Three weeks later at the Renton homestead:

"How's that parenting class Tara King talked you into Ron?" the wheelchair bound teen asked his best male friend who was busy playing with his sister.

"It's b*llsh*t," Ron Stoppable responded, "they give you a five-pound sack of flour that you have to carry around and care for and pretend then it's a baby even if I already had one to take care of. Sis exploded a whole pallet of that stuff. Then Tara imitates her boyfriend and draws a smiley face on the bleeping bag. Munchkins are a hell of a lot easier to take care of than that bag of flour."

Felix chuckled, "Sounds like you're having fun. You worried about passing?"

"Considering I may not graduate anyway, NO."

"Why not graduate Ron?"

"Barkin is back on my ass even though my grades are still going up, he's still being a jerk about me going on missions and doing the family thing when I need to. Tara's Mom ripped him a new butt hole at the school board meeting I attended. They asked me all sorts of stuff I'm sure Stevie didn't want them to know."

"Is he getting in trouble?"

"I hope so Wheels, but his lawyer was able to get it tabled for a couple months; can we talk about something else? I don't wanna spend my weekend even thinking about that pompous ass."

Felix looked around and stated, "Sure Ron. You know you brought less here than I thought, what happened to everything?"

"Most of it is storage units Wheels, I gave your mom a key and I gave one to Doctor Possible too," Ron replied as he bounced his sister on his knee.

"Why Doc Possible Ron?"

Sigh, "If something happens to me there's stuff in there that I want Kim to have, but she's gonna have to do some digging."

"Something happen to you?"

"Yeah, like a mission gone bad or something," Ron hinted.

"What about your sister, doesn't she count?"

"Remember that phone call last summer…with the Japanese guy?"

Felix nodded.

"Well, you didn't hear it from me, but he is related to Sis and would probably be the best person to get hold of, I have the Wadester taking care of that with my lawyer."

"Ron, if she had family in Japan how did she come over here?" Felix now had to ask.

The former running back casually checked over both shoulders before he explained, "I guess for a while it is going to be dangerous in Japan for some reason and they felt Hanna would be safer here. She is really special for some reason. Anyway, she's a joy and I'm glad to have her. How did the interview with those people with Health and Family Services go? They told me that they had to check out your house cause we were moving in."

"Mom showed them a clean, safe house with Hanna's room on the first floor….uh why do you sleep in the basement Ron?"

"I don't know Felix, I just do," Ron lied not revealing he worked out for about three hours a night in total silence then took a quick shower.

"Ron, you need to sleep in a bed at night."

"Yeah, I know, but just like I couldn't sleep in Mom and Dad's bed….it's hard to be comfortable, it's hard to relax….I just can't do that for some reason that I can't explain."

"I understand Ron, what did Barkin do with you missing classes?"

"He threatened to toss me out for the rest of the school year, and I told him to go ahead, and I would just make my move to Lowerton happen that much faster. Once I mentioned 'GED' (our hero finger quoted) he backed way off," Ron chuckled as he mugged his kid sister then said, "Hanna, page."

The tot responded with saying 'page' and slapping her brother's face hard enough with a loud 'thwack' to leave a handprint.

"What the hell was that, Ron?"

"Well, a couple weeks ago I was reading to Sis and when I got to the bottom of the page I said 'page' cause I was sorta loopy then and turned the page. She picked up on that, she packs a wallop as you can tell and she's getting stronger and faster. I don't know why she is slapping my face though. Anyway, she's a master of tot kwon do as you can see."

"Ron, what time do you have to go into work?"

"A couple hours, I'll get Hanna her bath and fill the diaper bag first."

"Zita and I can watch her…"

"Wheels, I don't wanna tie you down. It's the weekend and you need to go on a date and have some fun," Ron countered.

"You don't have fun anymore Ron, you hardly even game either all you do is study and work. You need to relax. When was the last time you had a day off?"

The blond former mascot thought for a moment then stated, "Forty-three days." He then smiled then frowned as he thought again and corrected himself, "Fifty-three days."

"You can't keep doing that…."

"I can and I will, after graduation and after me and Sis get moved into our place in Lowerton I'll cut back and basically disappear and grind it out."

"Grind it out?"

"Yeah Wheels, I might have to wait till Hanna is in grade school before I start to go to college, but…."

"Ron, take the help," Felix encouraged.

"Hey, I haven't canceled my plans, just postponed them for a while. I'm going to make something outta myself and prove all the top tier people at Middleton that I can do it."

At that moment Ron's cell phone began to beep.

XXX

Kim followed Eric into the former Stoppable house. It had been three weeks since Ron Stoppable had moved out and except for a mission or two she had no interaction with her childhood friend.

The suave teen whistled having received the keys to the house in question a few hours before from his lawyer Hank Perkins.

Monique was hanging back and muttering to herself.

"Well, it appears the structure was well maintained Kimberly. With a few improvements I should be able to make a tidy profit here and maybe sell it back to your sidekick," the suave 'English' teen grinned.

Kim frowned at the callousness of Eric's attitude as she looked around seeing most of the rooms bare. "Eric you really didn't have to take Ron's house…."

"Their lack of removing snow here caused me to be injured Kimberly, I was due compensation," Eric countered, his grin replaced by a sneer of entitlement.

The fashionista frowned, "If I remember, you weren't invited to that funeral and came on your own Eric. Like you planned for this to happen to Stoppable."

Eric turned to the African American teen, "Miss Jenkins if you don't hold your tongue, you may see yourself off my property."

With a huff Monique walked out the door followed by her friend Kim. In alarm, Eric grabbed the heroine's shoulder. He asked, "What is the matter, Kimberly?"

"Excuse me Eric, I am going home. We might be neighbors, but I won't walk into this house again." Kim replied curtly.

"But Kimberly, I did this for you."

"You partially destroyed my friend's life for me Eric? How cruel do you think I am to condone something like this? I've always tried to help people not make their lives harder, but better. Please excuse me I must think about our continuing relationship." Kim shrugged her shoulder causing the suave 'teen's' hand to fly off as she stepped away.

Eric pulled out his phone and quickly punched in his Uncle's number as he glanced down the driveway to see the two girls walking towards the Possible home. Of course, one thing he didn't understand is that Wade still had Ron's house wired except the genius wasn't monitoring it twenty-four slash three sixty-five since the teen was out of the abode. But the data were quietly recording to a disk farm.

XXX

In a cozy out of the way hotel in Upperton:

Jacob Rockwaller knocked on the door for room three seventeen. In three seconds, the door opened, and he slipped inside. "I don't think I was followed…"

"You weren't Mister Rockwaller, we have had you tailed since you left your favorite bar forty-six minutes ago," Agent Torcher responded, "From now on we will meet in a better place, but it seems for now you have not been compromised."

Sigh, "Good, and how did my story check out?" Jacob inquired.

"We cannot confirm everything you gave us, but there is some data that we could quietly gather. This looks to be a RICCO investigation," Ribbots informed the patriarch of the Rockwaller family, "We will need more information however and as much data to confirm that information."

"Yes Sir," Jacob conceded, "I felt as much and I have been able to get a couple more CDs worth, but I have to watch how much I gather and what rate at which I do it so that I am not observed." He then handed over the CDs, "This should confirm more of what I said, but the Consortium has been in business a very long time and it has ingrained its tentacles into how some of the sports organizations work. I doubt if most government people or news agencies have any idea this is going on, they….sigh we have tried very hard to stay in the background using intimidation tactics, but what happens when they target students' families for real?"

XXX

The Possible home:

"Kimmie, what are you doing home so soon? I thought you would help Eric check out his new property," James Possible asked his daughter as he rethought the relationship between her and her beau. At the moment, he was not very happy with the young man Kim was dating and was seriously considering lecturing her. And revealing what she had with Ron Stoppable the previous year.

(Doctor Possible had just spoken with the blond teen in question and they had again hashed out the prospect of informing the teen heroine about the true relationship between the teens. Ron again prevailed not wanting Kim to be told, but to remember on her own. The teen used the logic that if told Kim would be in a major funk and that would not be a good thing moving forward in her last weeks of high school before she went off to college with Eric and would put stress on their relationship…AN)

"I just need some time to think Daddy. I'll be up in my room with Monique talking about things."

"Very well Kimmie, if you need to speak with me or your mother, we are available, don't lock us out."

"I will Dad….thanks."

After the two girls got into Kim's room Monique asked, "What are you gonna do now?"

Sitting down on her bed, Kim sighed, "Not sure 'Nique, maybe Eric is as bad as Ron thinks he is, I just can't believe that I am this bad of a judge of character."

The fashionista hesitated to tell her BFGF about the real 'sitch' between the heroine and the buffoon, but remembered what Ron had said, "In my opinion, it's just a simple difference of opinion Kim. Give it a rest and see what happens. Anyway, where did your childhood friend move to?"

"I…I'm not sure, I can call Wade. He keeps a closer tab on Ron than I have since Christmas," Kim informed her friend.

"Why is that GF?"

"Well besides the allergies, Eric, work and school stuff takes up most of my time even though we haven't had the normal number of missions so far this year.", Kim explained, "If that picks up, I would see more of Ron and that's good, but again because of the allergies I really won't be able to interact with him like I used to."

(Now Monique was far from stupid, and it had always tickled her mind that within weeks of Kim beginning to date Eric because she didn't remember Ron as her beau, she had become allergic to her lifelong friend. She also knew that some expert told Ron and the other Possibles that the best way for the heroine to remember was to let her remember on her own. Even though she thought that Kim was better off upgrading her former goof of a boyfriend, she decided that she would have to tell Kim eventually, and that she had better also speak with the red head's parents and maybe even the blond teen before she did so…..AN)

Monique replied as quickly as she could and advised, "Let the situation with your BF calm down a little Kim, I think Eric is used to being in charge. Maybe this is how they do things in England. Anyway, what's this with how you and Stoppable used to interact?"

"Oh, Kim brightened, Ron and I used to go to Bueno Nacho together as you know you've joined us in that past cause he lives on the stuff, go swimming, ride bikes when we were younger and go to the movies. We practically did everything together. Sigh, I don't know if I want to move to England to go to college with Eric now Moni because I feel like he broke my trust, if…if he has a cruel streak….I…I don't know if I would be able to deal with that. I mean, Eric means well, but he might be off the mark by trying to do too much to Ron and Hanna," the cheerleader captain responded.

"I agree with you having reservations Kim, but I still think this is just a small glitch in what you and Eric have, and it will eventually work its way out, though I doubt if your guy is going to give the house back," Monique observed.

Sigh, "I sure hope he does 'Nique, I've always tried to do the right thing for everyone. If I turned my back on that now, what would that say about me?"

The fashionista responded, "I agree that your reputation will probably take a hit, but it won't be as large of a hit as Stoppable's finances GF. But thinking of that you have to agree that most people don't even know who Stoppable is so the hit to how people see you might be smaller than you think."

The red head plopped back on her bed, "I know I'm being selfish with both Eric and Ron, but I worry about Hanna. Ron never told me where he was moving to."

Brick Flagg's girlfriend shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know either, most of the guys on the football team won't tell Brick anything about Stoppable like it's some government secret."

Kim thought for a moment, "That's it, I know who should tell me."

"GF, who is that?"

"Someone who I….well Ron and I have worked with in the past. Wade can get them for me."

Monique motioned for Kim to do what she had to.

The heroine pushed the connect button on her wrist unit. Wade's holographic image appeared above Kim's wrist. "Hey Kim, it's all quiet on the western front again today."

Ms Possible smiled at the levity of the genius and replied, "Could you connect me to Ron?"

"He's a little busy right now Kim and he's getting ready for work….his sister and all," Wade responded.

"Okay, then connect me to Doctor Director please and thank you."

The sound of typing came through the unit as he said, "She'll be on in five, she's in a meeting right now."

"Sure Wade, as soon as you can."

"I'll call back in a few," then the connection broke.

X

Seven minutes later:

Beep Beep Da Beep

"Go Wade," Kim responded.

"Doctor Director is on the line, the next voice you hear his hers."

"Thanks Wade."

"Yes Kimberly, you had a question?" the director of the UN's law enforcement arm asked.

"Yes Ma'am, please nothing classified though there is someone in the room with me who doesn't have clearances."

Sigh, "Very well, but what is this about? We are a little busy here."

"Yes Ma'am, I'd like to know a couple of things, the first of them being where does my partner live now? I felt you would know."

"I do know though I doubt Mister Stoppable wants your boyfriend, Eric, to know where he is staying until the school year ends Kimberly."

Kim countered, "Ron is my best friend and mission partner I should be aware of his location Ma'am."

"Ronald has not told you yet? Very well, he is living at the Renton residence."

Monique heard the answer and asked, "Felix Renton?"

"Yes, but who am I speaking with? This is a secure channel, and your voice doesn't match Kim Possible's."

"Monique Jenkins, I was on that mission where Kim and I were captured," the fashionista explained.

"Ah, I remember, since you have already gone on missions, I suppose that the data I just passed to you would not harm anyone."

"Good, I'll look up Felix's phone number in the student directory or speak with him at school, we share two classes," Monique informed the older woman.

"I guess I can see where Ron would go to a friend of his Ma'am, thank you for letting me know that he has a place to stay with Hanna. You are aware that my boyfriend, Eric, wants his family to adopt Hanna Stoppable and give her a stable home?" Kim informed Betty Director.

"Kimberly, I do not think Ronald will do well with taking the child out of the equation. She is giving him a focus…something to give him a reason to hold it together, that young man has lost three family members since the first of the year if you consider his pet. Right now, between taking care of the child, going to school, studying, and working he does not have time to even think about being basically an orphan…well he wouldn't anyway because he is almost old enough to be out on his own. Please try to change your boyfriend's mind about this matter of forcefully adopting Ronald's sister. This situation could become a very sticky political mess. This Eric has you right now and his family, all Ronald has is his sister and we do not want to alienate him from the last thread of normalcy," Betty cautioned.

"I agree, but with the type of influence that Eric's family has I think they could pull strings at our State Department to get their way and thumb their noses at us peons. I will try to get my boyfriend to think about leaving the status quo as it is."

"Do what you can Kimberly, we don't want this to go to family court nor we don't need Ronald to go off the deep end and have a break down right in front of us. We need him available to be your backup when the need arises," Doctor Director cautioned.

"I will speak with Eric about this Ma'am, but I will wait a few days to let my emotions calm down a little. I don't want to lose Eric or Ron and I feel if I move on this right away, I might say something I don't mean."

"GJ will leave this situation up to you Kimberly for the time being but make your parents aware of this, so it doesn't blindside them either," Doctor Director cautioned.

"I will," Kim then disconnected.

Monique inquired, "And who was that?"

"She is the head of an organization Ron and I occasionally do missions for," Kim responded then suggested, "Listen, why don't we go downstairs, get some snacks, and watch a movie? I don't wanna think about this for a while."

XXX

Mayberry's Donut Shop:

(Dang, I can't believe that Middleton has so many coffee and donut shops. What the hell do they think people do with their spare time? AN)

"Where the hell did you find this place?" Spiker Ellis asked Dave Alberts as he took a sip of the 'special' house brew.

"Curt and Tank would come here once in a while, Liz doesn't really care for the donuts here, but the cinnamon rolls are pretty cool," the now former high school QB chuckled.

"Why didn't you invite Little?" Ellis inquired.

"He's in a training session with Curt then he has a date with Justine, me and Liz tonight," Dave responded, "We found a movie the girls could agree to."

"Melissa and Curt are taking Melanie out….she's thinking about moving back to Lowerton when the weather gets nice," Dave informed his friend.

Ellis shook his head as he looked down at his mug of 'joe' and muttered, "I can't believe Tank is gone, I swear I can still hear him calling out defenses and laughing when we screwed up then telling us to get our acts together."

Ellis frowned, "I heard that Melanie's PG…."

Dave half smiled, "Tank was so proud too…Dave's expression changed…. and he'll never be able to see the kid because some jerk wad murdered him and didn't even get the money….Curt said Tank did everything he was supposed to do, open the register and back away. When they catch the guy, it's gonna be murder one. I hope they give him the needle. I wanna be a witness for the victim. Liz is in shock by all this, but someone must stick up for Tank and I vote for me. They'd better hope Stoppable doesn't catch the murderer, he'd snap the asshole's neck in a heartbeat."

"Stoppable is tough, but he wouldn't just murder someone…."

"I think he'd do it; you remember when he was trouble in the lunchroom a couple years ago?" Dave asked.

"Yeah, he was having a bad week…."

"I asked Ron about that, he hinted at some stuff, and he was basically just doing it for fun. Right now, I think he would off the guy, and no one would ever find the body," Dave told his teammate.

XXX

The Renton home:

"Hello?" Ron answered after he pushed the 'connect' button and placed his phone by his ear. The blond teen was busy filling the munchkin's diaper bag

"Ronald?"

"Yes Ma'am, what do you need Doctor Director?"

"Miss Possible wants to speak with you and I think there are some things to talk to her about."

"Uh I get it I have been avoiding her a little unless there's a mission, do you know what she wants, I'm kinda busy here."

"Yes, but it is none of my nor GJ's business, but I want you to know that I believe she has your back in a matter that she and I discussed this morning regarding your sibling."

"Hanna? Well, I do have a few minutes," Ron replied, "I have Wade go through our Team units once I turn it on since you don't want to speak about it."

"Thank you, Ronald I hope things go smoothly."

Our hero rolled his eyes as the connection ended since not much had gone 'smoothly' in the previous nine months. Ron then whipped out his Kimmunicator and pushed the 'connect' button after he powered it up.

The tech guru's face came on the screen, "Yeah Ron."

"Wade can you connect me to Kim please and thank you?"

"Gonna have it out?"

"Nah, well I don't think so. Just connect me, I only have a few minutes before I have ta leave for work."

"Sure…okay I have her, she and Monique were going to call the Renton residence…."

"This will work…."

"Great Ron here she is."

"Ron?"

"Yeah Kim, a little one-eyed birdie told me you wanted to talk. What's up?"

"I'm sorry about Eric and your house…."

"It's not my house anymore Kim, for the time being I am officially homeless," the sidekick responded with a little edge to his voice.

"I didn't want that to happen! Are you and Hanna at Felix's house?"

Ron replied, "Yup, till graduation or the middle of summer at the latest."

"Where are you going then?"

"Well, I wanted to finish school here in Middleton then over the summer I am looking at some newly built villas in Lowerton, I checked, and the prices are reasonable, and I have more than enough insurance money left over. I have the job about twelve miles from there and I might be able to find a better job even closer to the place I'm planning on moving to," Ron informed the red head.

"So, how are you going to go to college?"

"I think by the time Hanna is in grade school I'll be able to go part time Kim, but since I'm kinda new to this parent thing I'll just play it by ear. The most important thing for me is to make sure that I can provide for my sister before anything else, it might get tight, but it is what it is. Listen Kim I'm sorta in a hurry, I have my shift coming up…"

"Ron, Ron don't hang up…please!"

"Okay, sure. What's on your mind?"

"Ron, I wanted you to know, Eric's family might want to adopt Hanna and take care of her and raise her…."

The blond teen's eyes flashed at the thought of Eric being close to Hanna, "Nope."

"Ron, they have the resources to give your sister a great life…."

"It's not about money, or lots of clothes, how great her education is or how big of a house she lives in. It's about love….you should know that. Even if I considered all that I would only be concerned about taking care of Hanna, and I have a plan to let me do that. Because I love the little intruder with all my heart, I will give her the love she deserves. What's Eric's family going to give her? A butler? Listen, I'm going to be late. See ya." The line went dead.

XX

Monique Jenkins heard the whole conversation, "Whoa, your sidekick was a little gruff and brutal when he shot down that plan wasn't he, GF?"

Sigh, "You were right 'Nique, we might have wanted to wait to discuss this with him. I'm not sure what is the right way to go about making sure Hanna has a guardian who will take care of her, though."

"GF you know that I'm on Stoppable's case in most things, but maybe we could just back off a little and warn your BF away from this train wreck before it blows up and we end up alienating any friends that we have at Middleton High. If you try to do something like this for the baby it might just cost you Stoppable's friendship and any credibility that you have with the media. Imagine the scene on the news: A CPS agent rips a screaming little girl out of the arms of her loving brother. The little girl is sobbing, "Brother! I want my brother!" A dozen police restrain Ron who's screaming, "Don't take my little intruder, she's all I have left!" And you are standing there saying, 'Ron, it's all for the best. Eric's family can buy her a pony….' Not a good look for your brand, GF"

"And Eric…...He would have to jump through all kinds of court hearings and unless Stoppable was known to be an abuser it would never fly. You and Eric must be smarter about this. People are not gonna stand for character assassination of some local sports hero especially if he hasn't done anything wrong," the fashionista insisted.

"Moni, I hear what you're saying and I'm not sure this is the best way for Eric to help Ron out, I think I made that clear with him."

Monique soothed her friend, "Kim, I don't think Stoppable even wants Eric's help….Eric took his house….his place to live since before you two met. If I was Stoppable, I might have reacted the same way."

"I'll see if I can prevent Eric from tearing the school apart, I don't want to choose between my two guys," Kim agreed.

(AN here….okay our Ronnie doesn't wear a 'white' hat like others who fight crime, the hat is grayer as evidenced when the blond goofball became Zorpox, but like who turns evil to corner the world's supply of a food item? When he has to, Ronnie boy will get his hands dirty. He isn't a real hero like Kim, and he's done some illegal things during the previous year in dealing with male attackers who had targeted Kim and he has smacked around other criminals. Of course, mostly it was to send messages to people who have wanted to hurt the famous red haired heroine. So, take that into consideration. Will he become the kind of hero everyone adores? I don't know considering how much Yamanouchi has to do with it.)

XXX

The ranch:

The 'teen' sat back in his easy chair and sipped his beir since he had just gotten back from the old Stoppable homestead. Otto asked Hans, "You seem overly smug at the moment nephew, did everything go according to plan?"

"Not quite, but I made my initial point to Kim Possible, now I just have to wait while supporting her and occasionally giving hints as to the idiot's incompetence. While I might have pushed the envelope of our 'relationship,' I feel I have gotten her to think about the child's welfare and I intend to use her concern to further isolate the buffoon from the remaining people who support him," the leader of the 'Casanova Group' informed his uncle.

Otto Schmitt aka Horst Webber chuckled, "I simply must admit you have taken to destroy that young man very well; I just hope this doesn't backfire on us. If Miss Possible has second thoughts and goes in another direction it could make it harder on us."

"Yes, I know Uncle. I would like to interrogate Doctor Possible next.", the leader of the group yawned.

"My contacts have wanted to study what secrets that are in Doctor Possible's head, Nephew, they could provide us with another revenue stream that we haven't realized yet. He might even lead us to other scientists who my friends could study. This may be even larger than what we are doing now."

(AN…Hans and his cronies are moving into out and out espionage, couple that with murder and if they get caught they would be convicted of federal crimes and end up in ADX Florence for the rest of their miserable lives.)

"Maybe so Uncle, but I want to make sure we complete our contract in a satisfactory manner. It's my good name after all," 'Eric' grinned as he brought the glass to his lips again.

Jar Head Diner:

"Hey, right on time Ron. Let me see that cutie," Connie Worschter greeted the teen.

With a grin Ron handed Hanna over, "The runt's been fed, watered and I hope worn out and ready for a nap Connie. I'll change her into her PGs during my break when we get one tonight."

"You know I was thinking, it's almost prom season. Are you going to one?"

"Nope, went to one last year as a backup date for this girl. This year: no attachments, not even going stag," the blond teen responded.

"Backup date? She had guys lined up?"

"Her primary date got sick in the middle of the prom, so she called me up, so she didn't have to look bad in front of the rest of the guys at school," Ron semi-lied. (Not realizing this made Kim Possible out to look like a b*tch….AN)

Connie backed up and let Ron in the diner the rest of the way and asked, "Did you at least get a kiss?"

"Yeah, and a dance too though I tossed the tux after that," Ron laughed.

"You threw out a tuxedo?"

"Yeah, an old one Dad had. Listen it was all I had since I wasn't planning on even going, it even fit. On the plus side it did match the girl's dress though."

"Did you have a good time?"

"Yeah, I did," Ron confessed.

Connie lowered her voice, "I asked Mac when I was in high school. He was home from deployment, and I hadn't seen him in a year, so I asked, he accepted. He went in his dress uniform he was a lance corporal then. All the girls were gaga over him cause he had some medals."

"We got married two years later. He was a sergeant by then."

"Come on Stoppable let's get movin," a gruff voice yelled from the kitchen.

"You'd better get going, I'll watch your sister while I watch TV," Connie told Ron.

The former running back chuckled, "Once more into the breach."

Kim Possible, Ron Stoppable, Felix, Liz and all the other 'canon' characters in the show 'Kim Possible' belong to Bob, Mark and the Disney Corporation and certainly not me nor CajunBear73 or Jimmy1201. We just play around with ideas that started out with 'what if?' then run with it.

We'll see ya down the road, have a good fourth,
