Guys, I'm a little unsure about this one. It was hard because we hardly see Lizzie on screen. But I hope you guys enjoy it anyway.
The time is written like that because I'm brazilian, we use 'military time' in daily basis, but if its a problem let me know :)
Still only own my crazy ideas 3
"Dickie, can you please stop it ?" She says annoyed to her twin who was trying to squeeze between her and the newest Stabler unofficial member.
"You've hogged Noah ever since we got here, seriously it's bad enough Katie is his favorite. I gotta have some bro time because we men have to stick together." Dickie says finally getting more or less comfortable in the tiny space.
Noah giggled at the silliness of the two grown ups. Being an only child, he found all too fascinating gaining 5 almost-siblings all at once.
"It so happens that Noah loves to talk to me about musical theater. It's not my fault you are an uncultured ass" Lizzie says defying her brother.
"Hey, language!" they hear Olivia say from the kitchen where she was washing the dishes while her partner's twins and her little boy were choosing a movie for them to watch. "Honestly guys, you're not kids anymore, enough with the bickering"
" She started it "
" No- He started it " they both said. Olivia rolled her eyes at their antics, finishing her task moving on to cleaning the table. In the background she could hear Noah say, in his exuberant manner "Calm down, guys. There's enough of me for everyone"
She laughed quietly from her spot. Her boy was so happy being the center of the older Stablers attention. She was pleasantly surprised to get a call from Lizzie asking if her and her twin could come for dinner and a movie. Even more since their father was out of town for a few days.
"We want to spend time with you guys. We see dad all the time" The girl had said.
Right. See them . More like fight over Noah's attention. She got it. Her boy could charm his way out of anything. And the twins seemed genuinely excited to have one more to the bunch. She suddenly felt her phone buzzing in her pocket and picked it up to see her partner's name on the screen indicating a new text message.
[19:46 Elliot]
Hope everything is going well
[19:46 Olivia]
Sure. If well means regressing to 2000 to see the twins fight over everything
[19:47 Elliot]
Well, baby, I'm sorry to say they never grew out of that phase.
[19:47 Olivia]
Jesus. It's like they forget they are adults. And don't call me baby.
[19:48 Elliot]
What are they fighting over anyway?
[19:48 Olivia]
Not a What, a Who. They are fighting over Noah.
[19:49 Elliot]
Ha! Bet he is loving it. Told ya didn't have to worry about my kids meeting him.
[19:49 Olivia]
I'm actually worried about how to separate them now.
[19:50 Olivia]
And how dare you say "I Told You" to me, mister.
[19:50 Elliot]
Sorry, Captain.
She grinned at her phone. How could this man make her all tingling not even being in the same room as her? "Hey, Liv" Olivia was so focused on her phone she didn't even see Lizzie approaching her. She looked up startled, putting her hand to her heart. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you"
"Oh no, it's ok, I just didn't see you coming" Olivia half laughed at her. "You need anything?"
"No, just wanted to chat, really. I mean, Dickie stole Noah so…"
"So I guess I'll do, right?"
"What? Ohhhh no. Liv, you don't just do, it's just that we all know you have a favorite already, we are still hoping with Noah, and Katie got a head start. It's a very serious matter to us" she said grumpy.
"I absolutely do not have a favorite" Olivia answered full captain mode with hands in the waist.
"Right…"
"I'm serious, Lizzie. I don't, I love you all equally. It just happens that some of you are more open to talking to me than the others." She explained.
"That's such a mom answer."
"Well, young lady, I just happen to be a mother, in case you were confused" Lizzie let out a laugh at her response. Lizzie looked around like she was deciding if she should say what she was thinking or not.
"So…"
"So what?" Olivia looked confused now. They both made their way to the table and pulled chairs sitting facing one another.
"How is it going with dad?" She asked.
"Hmm… what do you mean?" She bit her lower lip, blushing.
"Wew, not that . I just mean, are you happy?"
"Oh, yeah, sweetie. I'm absolutely happy" She beamed at Lizzie, sincerely smiling.
"I know dad can be difficult sometimes but don't let him walk over you or your feelings"
"Lizzie, thank you for your concern. But I'm really not the kind of person who lets that sort of thing happen" Liv said.
"That's just it, Liv. Normally I would totally agree with you, but you forget something about me being the quiet one."
"What is that?" She was intrigued about what the younger girl would say.
"I saw how dad treated you after mom died. How he couldn't be bothered to acknowledge what happened between you in the past and just assumed you would be there for him. And that declaration in that intervention from hell, that pulled you in an absolutely awful spot." She explained.
"Lizzie, you have to understand that was a terrible time for him, he was dealing with a lot" Lizzie interrupted her.
"That's where you're wrong, Liv. I know he was in a terrible situation, but that didn't give him the right to treat you that way. And then the trial and all the Angela situation" Olivia winced at that "He let you sit through that knowing what was about to be said. You deserved better from him, so please be aware of that." Then she quietly completed "Even more after all you been through"
Olivia looked up as Lizzie continued "You know I went into journalism, right?" She continued, looking down "I had this class, a few months ago, about criminal cases. I know I shouldn't have, but I looked you up. My intent was to use one of your solved cases in an article" Olivia drew in a sharp breath, knowing what was about to come and not understanding how she could possibly be talking more about Lewis in the last few months than in the last 10 years "I remember seeing you kidnapping on the news. But I never knew the details. I actually put it on the back of my mind, mostly because mom said so. But then we went to the beach on that weekend after you and dad got together and I noticed you didn't go into the water. I was about to ask you why when you bent forward to grab sunscreen from your bag and I saw some faded scars. And It came back to me. I thought it couldn't be that bad seeing you as you are now. Not until I read the court transcripts. I'm so sorry you went through that, Liv." Some tears leaked out of her eyes.
"Honey, I know you and your siblings are worried about me. Mostly because the details are new to you, but you guys have to understand that they are not new to me, I know all about it, I lived through it." She took a deep breath "All this recent talking about it makes me relive it, and I always want to be honest with all of you, and for you to be comfortable coming to me about anything. You said I gave you a 'mom' answer, Lizzie, I need you to know that you guys are like my own, I love you like it. And I know I'm not your mother, and would never, ever want to take her place."
"We know that" Lizzie hurried to say, still trying to understand where Olivia was going with her speech.
"I've been preparing for years to the day Noah asks me about it, and I dreaded it ever since. When your dad and I began seeing each other I didn't factor the way you guys asking me about it would make me feel."
Sorrow draws to Lizzie's face "We never wanted to make you feel uncomfortable, Liv"
Quick to make the girl feel better, Olivia said "You don't get it, Lizzie. You guys aren't making me feel bad or uncomfortable. I've dealt with all of that, but what is really hurting me is seeing how hurt you become on my behalf when you find out about what happened."
"No, Liv. You are the one who is not getting it. We hurt because you were hurt, because we love you and you are a part of us just as much as mom and dad. This is not pity, it is absolut agony for us to know you went through this terrible experience and none of us were there to support you, and for that we can never apologize enough, there is no excuse for it, we just choose the easier way out"
"You don't need to apologize, but I see how absorption is important to all of you. I don't blame or hold it against any of you, I just hope we can all move one from it together"
"We absolutely can and will" She said, smiling. "And don't worry, I will talk to Dickhead so he will know not to bring it up. I think we've talked about it enough" Olivia agreed with her and they fell into a comfortable silence, both thinking about the conversation they just had.
The phone comes to life with a buzz and Olivia holds her's up to see if she had been the one receiving a text. Her screen is empty and she sees Lizzie doing the same, but seeing a new text in the sibling group chat.
"Son of a bitch" she says under her breath as she leaps from the chair leaving the phone unlocked on the table and running towards the living room saying loudly "How dare you?!" to her twin.
Curiosity gets the best of Liv as she turns the phone to see what the hell had happened that made the girl so mad.
[Stabler sibling group chat]
[20:32] Dickie: Noah says and I quote 'spending my night with my favorite sibling'
A photo of both boys smiling at the camera was attached
[20:32] Maureen: No way he said that
[20:32] Eli:You just made that up
[20:32] Kathleen: Oh hell, no!
[20:32] Kathleen: Dickie, get way from him
[20:32] Kathleen: Dickie?
[20:32] Kathleen: Dickie?
[20:33] Kathleen: That's it, tell Livie I'm coming over
Olivia laughed at the texts, shaking her head. It was good to finally have the family she always dreamed of.

Don't worry, we'll have a Dickie chapter, only a little different.
I'm always open to suggestions!
