It was a misty, cloudy, moonlit night in the harbor town of Port Royal, and all was peaceful and quiet as everyone was settling down for the night after all the excitement of Commodore Norrington's promotion ceremony, the Heartless attacks, and the capture of notorious pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow.
Having been captured by the Royal Navy, Jack was incarcerated in the prison block of Fort Charles, sitting in his cell alone in the back left corner with his back against the wall, his left-arm resting on his bent left-knee. Four seedy prisoners, who were desperate to avoid the hangman's noose, were next to him in another cell on his right, trying to coax a medium-sized Griffon Nivernais dog with grey-brown hair, who held a ring with a single key tauntingly in its mouth. One prisoner held a loop of rope and another waggled a bone in his right-hand through the bars to lure the creature closer to them. However, the dog just sat on his hindquarters and silently stared at the prisoners, taunting them.
"Come here, boy! Come here, boy!" Prisoner #1 calls
"Want a nice, juicy bone?" Prisoner #2 says
Jack knew that the efforts of his fellow prisoners were pointless. The dog was no more likely to hand over the key than a human guard.
"You can keep doing that forever. The dog is never going to move." Jack says
"Oh, excuse us if we haven't resigned ourselves to the gallows just yet." Prisoner #3 says glancing back at Jack's cell over his left-side
Jack looked over at the four men as they continued to coax the dog and just smiled at the humor.
At the Governor's Mansion, Elizabeth Swann was in bed reading a book and being tended to by a maid named Estrella, who had blue eyes and brown hair, wearing a maid's uniform consisting of a long-sleeved red shirt, a white head gown, and a white apron. Estrella took a bed warmer from the nearby fireplace and slid it between the sheets at the end of Elizabeth's bed.
"There you go, miss. It was a difficult day for you, I'm sure." Estrella says
"I suspected Commodore Norrington would propose, but I admit I wasn't entirely prepared for it." Elizabeth says
"I meant you being threatened by that pirate. And those devilish creatures. Sounds terrifying." Estrella says
"Oh. Yes, it was terrifying." Elizabeth says
"But the Commodore proposed! Fancy that. That's a smart match, miss, if it's not too bold to say." Estrella says
"I think it is a smart match. He's a fine man. He's what any woman should dream of marrying." Elizabeth says
"That Will Turner, he's a fine man, too." Estrella says
"That is too bold." Elizabeth says looking up at the maid
"Beggin' your pardon, miss. It was not my place." Estrella apologizes bowing her head
Having finished with her task, Estrella leaves the room, closing the door behind her. As soon as she was gone, Elizabeth absently toys with the medallion around her neck in her right-hand. Suddenly, a gust of wind blows out the fireplace and the fire lamp standing on the left-side of the bed, plunging the bedroom into darkness. Elizabeth watches as the flame of her lamp goes out, then looks over towards the open window on her right where the wind came from with a look of concern.
In the town of Port Royal, Will Turner was in the blacksmith shop, working on another sword as he laid it down on the large anvil and hammered it into shape. However, he stops halfway on his fifth strike and glances back over his right-shoulder as if he sensed something. He walks over to the entrance of the forge and pushes the wooden windowsill open with his left-hand, looking down the street on his right, then up the other way on his left.
Elsewhere in town, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut were out in the streets on patrol for Heartless and any sign of trouble with Luna, Toothless, Stormfly, Meatlug, Hookfang, and Barf and Belch walking alongside their riders. As they did, they noticed how eerily quiet the town was at night, not to mention the thick fog that blanketed the entire settlement, decreasing visibility down to only a few meters.
"No sign of Heartless yet." Sora says
"It sure is quiet." Goofy says
"Doesn't mean they're not here. Keep your eyes peeled." Devon says
"Um, anyone else notice this fog?" Fishlegs asks
"Yeah. It's very thick." Hiccup says
"I can barely see the end of the street." Astrid says
"Ooh... Maybe it's a fog monster." Tuffnut teases with a spooky voice
"Or creepy ghosts." Ruffnut teases with a spooky voice
Fishlegs looked around nervously, whimpering with fright. Snotlout noticed his fearful expression and chuckles mischievously, creeping back into the fog behind him without anyone noticing. Hookfang watched his rider, but didn't care much as he shook his head and rolled his eyes with a growl and just continued walking. It wasn't long before Fishlegs noticed Snotlout's disappearance from his left.
"Hey, has anyone seen Snotlout?" Fishlegs asks
While the chubby Viking was looking around, a spooky sound is heard, catching everyone's attention.
"OoOoOoOoOoOo..." A voice moans
"W-W-What is that?" Fishlegs asks nervously
Suddenly, the group saw a human-shaped figure appear in the fog, walking towards them and moaning like a zombie with its arms extended straight and seaweed hanging from its body.
"OoOoOoOo... OoOoOoOoOoOo..." The voice moans
The heroes stood their ground, while Fishlegs was cowering with fear, whimpering with his frightened voice. It was soon revealed to be Snotlout, who had covered most of his body with seaweed to make himself look like a pirate ghost.
"Boo!" Snotlout exclaims
Only Fishlegs screamed, but calmed down once he and everyone else saw it was just the arrogant Jorgenson Viking. Devon facepalmed himself with his right-hand as he and the others groaned and sighed in annoyance, while Donald and the Thorston Twins laughed, thinking that Snotlout's prank was actually funny.
"Ugh... Snotlout. Really?" Hiccup groans
"Gee. He coulda fooled me." Goofy says
"Ha ha ha ha ha! Nice one." Tuffnut laughs
"Heh heh heh! Yeah." Ruffnut laughs
"Would you guys get serious? We're supposed to be on lookout." Astrid says
"Right. C'mon." Devon says
And so, the heroes continued on down the street, passing Snotlout as he watched them, brushing off the seaweed from his body. He then turns toward Fishlegs, the primary target of his prank and teases him of his nervous demeanor.
"Ha! You should've seen your face!" Snotlout says pointing at the chubby Viking with his right index finger
Fishlegs growls under his breath, casting a glare at the Jorgenson, and walks past him with Meatlug, who held an angry look on her face as she leans toward Snotlout, growling menacingly at him for scaring her precious rider. Snotlout scoffs and follows along with his Monstrous Nightmare.
Unknown to everyone on the Jamaican island, a ghostly pirate ship was making its approach to Port Royal, traveling silently across the sea with its black sails, hidden by the fog and the dark cover of the night. The Black Pearl had come. To raid, pillage, pilfer, and burn.
Up at Fort Charles, Governor Weatherby Swann and Commodore Norrington took a stroll along the far wall of the courtyard with the gallows returned to its position down below.
"Has my daughter given you an answer yet?" Weatherby asks
"No, she hasn't." Norrington says
"Well, she has had a very trying day. Ghastly weather, don't you think?" Weatherby says
"Bleak. Very bleak." Norrington says
Suddenly, there was a distant rumbling sound, which caught the attention of Commodore Norrington and Governor Swann, causing them to stop.
"What's that?" Weatherby asks
The Commodore looks off toward the sea and his eyes widened with horror.
"Cannon fire!" Norrington exclaims
Reacting quickly, Norrington dives toward the Governor and tackles him down to the ground just as a cannonball strikes close to their position, exploding on impact. More cannon shots followed as they struck the garrison. Pushing himself back up, the Commodore turns to his men and shouts an order.
"Return fire!" Norrington commands
In the prison, Jack Sparrow heard the sounds of cannons blasting from outside and he immediately recognized them.
"I know those guns!" Jack says
Springing up from his hard stone seat, Jack looks through the barred window at the British garrison outside on his right as its walls exploded, then shifts his gaze down toward the bay on his left, tracing the cannon fire to the attacking black ship far below.
"It's the Pearl." Jack says
"The Black Pearl?" Prisoner #2 says
The prisoners moved over to the side of Jack's cell.
"I've heard stories. She's been preying on ships and settlements for near ten years. Never leaves any survivors." Prisoner #1 says with a terrified voice
"No survivors? Then where do the stories come from, I wonder." Jack says glancing back over his left-shoulder at his fellow prisoners
Out on the sea, the Black Pearl continued laying siege to Fort Charles on its port side, and the town of Port Royal on its starboard side with each boom of her cannons. Streets, buildings, docks and ships shatter and explode beneath the onslaught, while the colonists ran for their lives, screaming in terror as they ran for cover. Some unfortunate souls were blasted away by the cannon fire, while others incinerated by the fiery explosions as a result. Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens and the dragons ran through the streets, dodging the cannon fire and flying debris, while trying to escort the civilians to safety. The group stopped and directed the fleeing people away from the carnage with Devon, Sora, Hiccup, and Astrid waving them by with their hands.
"C'mon! Let's go! Let's go! Get outta here!" Devon shouts
"Keep going!" Sora shouts
"Go! Go! Run!" Hiccup shouts
"This way!" Astrid shouts
"Mommy!" A young voice screams
Astrid looks over at her right and gasps as she saw a little boy no more than four years of age wandering around amongst the chaos of fleeing people, close to a destroyed building. Then, her face turned to horror at what she saw next. A burning balcony hanged precariously above the small boy, which looked like it could collapse at any moment. In a moment of human instinct, she dashes over to save the child, much to the surprise of Hiccup and everyone else as they watched her run off.
"Astrid!" Hiccup exclaims
Soon, the burning balcony rips away from its foundation and descends toward the young child, but Astrid manages to quickly snatch him up and saves him from certain death, just as the flaming wood crashes down where he once stood. The boy's mother runs over to Astrid, and she takes her child from her, deeply grateful to the Viking Shieldmaiden for her heroic deed.
"He's alright." Astrid says
"Oh, bless you, lass! Thank you! Thank you very much!" The woman says hugging her child tightly in her arms
After that, the woman runs for safety, carrying her small boy in her arms. Astrid watches them as they go, then turns back to her friends, who were happy for her. Devon and Hiccup were especially proud of Astrid as they smiled, and the Keyblade Wielder nodded his head. Astrid smiled herself and nods back. The moment was soon interrupted by an exploding building down the street as it was struck by a cannonball, forcing the group to focus back on their objective as they follow the townsfolk further into town.
Dozens of longboats emerged from the fog, each carrying armed pirates that growled and shouted loudly. Soon, the boats reached the shore and the pirates head into town to begin their raid. Among them were two pirates of particular interest: Pintel and Ragetti. Both men were partners in crime, and one was rarely seen without the other.
Pintel was a short, round, sallow-looking pirate with balding gray hair, gray eyes, and a great deal of black facial hair, wearing a faded blue coat and a shirt that was torn down to his waist. Around his neck was a torn neckerchief, and strapped on his brown trousers was a faded black leather belt.
Ragetti was a tall, skinny man with short, blond hair, a small moustache and a short beard, wearing a faded blue-green coat stolen from a French nobleman and a red shirt. Draping over his grey pants was a long faded red scarf. The most interesting feature about him was his wooden right-eye, a replacement for the one he lost in battle.
Pintel held a burning torch in his right-hand with a gruff look on his face, while Ragetti was tending to his wooden eye on his left, carving the round pupil and blowing it clean before popping it back in his eye socket and spinning it so that it was properly aligned. The two pirates looked at each other and smiled, then joined the others as they went to cause some chaos.
The pirates fanned out across the streets of Port Royal, destroying everything in sight and slaughtering anyone that stood in their path. One pirate lit the fuse of two grenades in his hands, then threw them into the buildings through the stained-glass windows on his left before running and chasing a woman. A few seconds later, the grenades detonated, sending glass and debris flying in medium-sized explosions. Devon, Sora, and Co. ran into the street and stare at the chaos that was happening around them. People were running from the pirates that were chasing them, while others were breaking into shops and taverns to steal whatever loot they could find. Soon, a group of pirates approached the heroes, armed with torches, hatchets, daggers, swords, and flintlock pistols. One of these pirates named Jacoby, who acted as the group's leader steps forward with a dagger in his right-hand.
"Avast, you scurvy dogs! Surrender your plunder and say yer prayers. We'll be sendin' ya to Davy Jones." Jacoby says
In response, Devon, Sora, Donald, and Goofy summoned their weapons and got into their stances, while Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Toothless and the other dragons growled.
"Think again, pirate. If you're looking for a fight, try and take us on. We're more than a match for you marauders." Devon says pointing Soul Calibur straight at the pirates with his right-arm
"And we have dragons. So, if you pirates are smart, you'll go back to wherever you came from." Hiccup says
Toothless unleashes a loud roar at the pirates to prove Hiccup's point, but they weren't scared whatsoever.
"We ain't scared of your beasts." A dark-skinned pirate says
"Just makes it more challengin'." A tan pirate says
"And we like a good challenge." Another pirate says
"Oh ho ho. You pirates are in for a world of pain." Snotlout says punching his left-fist into the palm of his other hand
"I'll show you pain, whelp!" Jacoby says
Jacoby twists the dagger in his hand and holds the blade with his fingers, then throws it straight at Devon as his target. In a split second, Devon quickly brings up Soul Calibur in defense, holding it horizontally upward to the left, and the dagger strikes the flat side of the crystal Keyblade, bouncing off harmlessly as he deflects the attack.
"That all you got?" Devon says smiling
The pirates growled at the Keyblade Wielder as he stood there with his smug expression. Jacoby draws his cutlass from his scabbard and points it at the heroes.
"Get 'em!" Jacoby says
All at once, the pirates ran toward the heroes, yelling and shouting for battle. Devon lowers down on his right-knee and extends his other leg back like a runner on a track, getting ready to sprint down the one-mile run. Luna stood alongside her rider on his right, lowering down on all fours, baring her teeth, and growling as she prepared to charge. Soon, Devon dashes forward with the rest of his friends behind him as they all charged towards the pirates.
"Hyaaaaa!" Devon yells
Within moments, the two sides clashed, and Devon strikes first, hitting Jacoby in the face with a brutal left-elbow strike.
"Tyaaaaa!" Devon yells
Jacoby was knocked back by the strong blow, but he recovers and attempts to stab the whelp with a lunging strike of his cutlass. Devon dodges the attack, leaping sideways to the left, grabs his wrist with his left-hand and twists Jacoby's arm backwards, forcing the pirate to drop his weapon, then he knees him in the stomach with his right-knee, causing the man to lurch forward, and finally hits Jacoby with an uppercut slash across his body, knocking him off the ground, and a leaping roundhouse kick to the chest, sending him flying into two other pirates behind him. A bald, dark-skinned, shirtless pirate, wearing only brown boots, baggy, tan pants, a brown belt, and a tan sash on his left-hip charges at Devon with his dual hatchets to attack him next. He swings his axes left and right at the young teen four times in a dancing motion, but the Keyblade Wielder leaps away, repeatedly dodging his attacks, and counters with a right slash, knocking the pirate away.
Not far from Devon's position, Luna shoots a plasma blast at a pirate with a direct shot to the chest, blasting him back into another pirate. A third pirate charges at Luna with his cutlass raised over his head and attacks her with a downward strike, but she leaps sideways to the left and swats him away with her tail. Turning around to her right, the female Night Fury saw her rider fighting two pirates at once as they both swinged their swords at him, while he switched back and forth between opponents and parried their strikes with Soul Calibur. Looking off to her left, she gasped when she saw another pirate heading straight for him with a torch in his left-hand and cutlass in the other. Desperate to protect her beloved rider, the black dragoness rushes to his aid.
On his side of the street, Devon held his crystal Keyblade infront of him horizontally to the left in defense as the two pirates swing their swords at him, forcing the three warriors in a blade lock. After a six second struggle, the young teen shoves the pirates back and knocks them away with a wide left slash. Behind him, the pirate that Luna spotted was closing in on the Keyblade Wielder, pulling his burning torch back as he prepared to strike. But just as he swings his torch at Devon, the female Night Fury leaps in from the side and grabs the torch with her mouth, biting down on the wood and stopping the pirate's attack mid-way. Devon spins around to his right to face them and watches his dragon and the pirate wrestle with one another. Soon, Luna yanks the flaming torch out of the man's grip, tossing it aside to the left, then spins around to the right, slamming her tail into the pirate's side and knocking him away.
"Thanks, Luna." Devon says
"Mmm-hmm. No problem, Devon." Luna says nodding her head
On another side of the street, Sora, Donald, and Goofy took on a group of pirates of their own. Sora attacks a dark-skinned pirate with a downward slash, a thrusting strike, a right slash, an uppercut slash, and another downward slash. The pirate attempts to hit Sora with an overhead slash, swinging his dual axes in a wide arc, but the spikey-haired teen blocks the attack with his Keyblade and knocks the pirate away with a wide right slash. Donald aims his Mage Staff at two pirates and zaps them with a Thunder spell, shooting yellow electricity from his staff, while Goofy whirls around with a floating spin attack, bashing three pirates multiple times with his Knight Shield.
Not far from them, Spyro and Cynder stood together as several pirates approached them. A bald, tan-skinned pirate wearing a black vest and red and black-striped trousers steps forward with a cutlass held in his right-hand, pointing his blade at the purple dragon and the black dragoness.
"I'll cut ya down to pieces!" The pirate says
The pirate pulls his sword across his body and swings it with a wide arc to the right. The two dragons leap back and dodge the blade, then make their move. Spyro rams his horns hard into the pirate's stomach, causing him to lurch forward, then Cynder moves up and performs a backflip, hitting the pirate's chin underneath with her hind legs and her tail and sending him flying. After that, the rest of the pirates ran forward to attack the two dragons. Spyro breathes a stream of flames from his mouth, burning away five pirates using his Fire Breath, while Cynder leaps up into the air and spins counterclockwise, creating a miniature tornado using her Wind element that sucks up the remaining six pirates and sends them flying all at once in multiple directions. Two pirates crash into stacks of crates and barrels, one crashes through the window of a burning building, another pirate crashes into a stall, smashing it to pieces, one crashes through the door of another building, and the last pirate crashes into a wooden chicken coop, causing dozens of the white, brown, and black feathered creatures to run away as they clucked and flapped their wings in panic.
And on their side of the street, the Viking Teens and their dragons faced off against their group of pirates.
Toothless smacks away a charging pirate with his left-wing and whips another one on the right with his tail. A dark-skinned pirate charges at Hiccup and Toothless with a cutlass in his right-hand and a torch in the other, yelling loudly with ferocity, but the Night Fury shoots him with a plasma blast.
Stormfly spews her Magnesium fire at two pirates, blasting them away, then flicks her tail to the left, launching several of her spikes at two other pirates, each spine piercing their bodies in numerous places. Another pirate runs up to the Deadly Nadder and throws his hatchet, aiming for the Viking Shieldmaiden on her back. Stormfly folds her wings infront of her and shields her rider from the hatchet, causing the weapon to bounce off harmlessly, then flicks her tail again, shooting more spikes at the pirate.
Meatlug shoots an explosive lava blast, sending three pirates flying through the air, then rams her head straight into another pirate, knocking him back. The tan-skinned pirate staggers backwards, clutching his stomach with his hands. Before he could recover, the Gronckle charges into the pirate with a spin attack, swinging her bludgeon-like tail to the left into the man and knocking him away.
Four pirates charge at Snotlout and Hookfang, but the Monstrous Nightmare breathes a stream of his Kerosene Gel, sweeping his head from left to right as he sends away the pirates. Another pirate charges at Hookfang from the right, but the large dragon smacks him away with a whip of his long tail.
Barf and Belch both snatch up a pirate in their jaws and slam them together, then toss the two men away. Five more pirates charge at the two-headed Zippleback and its riders, yelling loudly with their torches, swords, and axes raised over their heads. Barf breathes a cloud of gas onto the pirates, and Belch ignites the gas with his sparks, creating a large explosion that blows them all away.
At the blacksmith shop, Will Turner slipped a boarding axe into his belt at the small of his back, puts a dirk in his belt, then a second and a third, and picked up a second axe and a sword in his left-hand as he heads out to help in the defense of Port Royal. Stepping out through the door, Will looked down the street and saw Devon, Sora, and the others as they finish off the last of their group of pirates. Jacoby rises back onto his feet as he recovers and sets his gaze on Devon. Growling in anger, he pulls out a hand grenade from his jacket in his right-hand, intent on blowing the Keyblade Wielder and his friends to bits. But before he could light the fuse, Will Turner throws the axe in his right-hand square into Jacoby's back, causing the pirate to drop his grenade and scream in agony. The world-travelers heard Jacoby's scream and looked over in his direction, watching as he falls face forward to the ground. Will runs over to the group, removing the axe from the pirate's back as he did.
"Devon! Sora!" Will says
"Will!" Devon says
Devon, Sora, Will, and the others turned to the street and faced another group of pirates. Then, as if things couldn't get any worse, the Heartless make their appearance as they spawned in bursts of darkness alongside the pirates. These Heartless were Shadows, Cannon Guns, and Spear Lizards, but there was also some new additions called Anchor Raiders and Hunchclaws.
Anchor Raiders were humanoid Heartless dressed in swashbuckling attire. They wore a red captain's jacket with grey feathers around the collar, gold and black pads on the shoulders with additional feathers, a blue shirt underneath and a white caveat. Their face was similar to a white skull, wearing a black bicorn hat with the Heartless emblem on it. They carried a large red sword in their left-hand, while their right-hand was replaced by one with a chain and anchor, which literally pierces a hole in reality, allowing them to hover in the air and hang down from anywhere.
And Hunchclaws were large, hunched, crawfish humanoid Heartless horribly disfigured, standing completely hunched over with large, serrated pincer claws, a flat whipping tail, big glaring eyes, and a durable exoskeleton, though it had a giant crack on its back.
The Hunchclaw in the center of the group rears back and leans forward, spreading its claws as it unleashes a deep, loud roar at the heroes.
"Great. Now the Heartless are joining the party." Devon says
"Those big ones are new." Hiccup says
"They look strong too." Astrid says
"We can take 'em!" Sora says
"And I'll fight with you!" Will says
Devon glances over at Will as he stood alongside him and Luna on his right and nods his head, then turns to face the Heartless and the bloodthirsty pirates as they charge toward them.
Up at Fort Charles, cannon fire from the Black Pearl continued to rain down on the British garrison, destroying the gallows in the courtyard and a section of the north tower above the battlements, killing a few Royal Marines positioned up high and sending them flying. The garrison's gunners fought back as they fired their cannons, but most of the shots from the Fort fell short, while all the shots from the pirate ship hit their targets. Commodore Norrington walked along the ramparts, shouting orders to his men.
"Sight the muzzle flash! I need a full spread, fore and aft! Mr. Stevens, more cartridges!" Norrington commands
Norrington looks over at Weatherby Swann on his left, who turned right to face him, quaking with fear from every blast.
"Governor, barricade yourself in my office." Norrington says
A cannonball strikes the ramparts behind Norrington and the Governor shields his head with his arms in fright, while the Commodore stood perfectly calm.
"That's an order." Norrington says
Governor Swann simply stood silent and stared at Norrington, dazed by the cannon fire.
At the Governor's mansion, Elizabeth Swann looks out the window of her bedroom, gazing down at the scene of devastation below. Even through the fog, dozens of fires were visible as structures and ships burned in the harbor. Then, she noticed movement directly below her. A group of pirates were heading straight toward the Governor's mansion, pushing past the gates and running to the front door. Downstairs, the butler heard knocking at the door and goes to answer it. Running out of her room, Elizabeth reached the railing overlooking the foyer, and cried out to the butler.
"Don't!" Elizabeth says
Unfortunately, she was too late. The butler opens the door and was greeted by Pintel with Ragetti standing alongside him on his right, and the rest of their group behind them.
"'Ello, chum." Pintel greets sarcastically
Pintel aims his pistol at the butler and shoots him dead with a headshot. Elizabeth screams as she watches the poor butler collapses to the floor on his back. The pirates storm through door and began pillaging the mansion, running off down the halls of the establishment. Pintel and Ragetti enter the foyer and spots Elizabeth on the stairs.
"Up there!" Ragetti says pointing up at Elizabeth with the torch in his left-hand
Elizabeth gasps and immediately ran back up the stairs with Pintel and Ragetti in pursuit. The young woman quickly heads into her bedroom, closes the door, and locks it, then turns around and runs into Estrella, who grabs her by her arms, looking just as terrified as she was. Elizabeth screamed with fright, but relaxed when she recognized the maid. The two women move off to the left, away from the door, and Estrella warns her mistress of the danger.
"Miss Swann! They've come to kidnap you!" Estrella says
"What?" Elizabeth says
"You're the Governors daughter!" Estrella says
Elizabeth stared at Estrella and realized she was right. To the pirates, she would be very valuable in a trade if she was captured.
"In here!" Ragetti yells
The door shook violently and the knob rattles as the pirates banged against it, trying to break inside. Elizabeth looks over at the door, then turns back to Estrella, pushing her back and out of sight.
"Listen. They haven't seen you. Hide, and the first chance you get, run to the fort." Elizabeth says
The maid nods her head and goes to hide behind a chair, while Elizabeth runs in the opposite direction to lead the pirates away. Soon, the door gives way as Pintel and Ragetti burst into the room, and they catch a glimpse of her white dress darting into the adjoining room through an open door on their right. The two pirates run and chase after her. Just as they reach the door, a metal pan swings into Pintel's face from the right as Elizabeth attacks him with the bed warmer, leaving the pirate dazed and stunned with his eyes crossed. Seeing her chance, Estrella breaks from cover and runs out of the bedroom, slipping away unnoticed. After striking Pintel, Elizabeth tries to hit Ragetti next, but he catches the bed warmer with his right-hand.
"Gotcha!" Ragetti says
After a short struggle, Elizabeth pulls down a ring trigger on the bed warmer with her right index finger, releasing the hot coals onto Ragetti's head.
"No, no! It's hot! I'm burning!" Ragetti exclaims
While the one-eyed pirate screams in pain, Elizabeth slips past Pintel and Ragetti and dashes out of the bedroom for the hallway stairs.
"Come on!" Pintel says
The two pirates quickly recovered and run back out into the foyer, continuing their pursuit of the Governor's daughter. Downstairs, Estrella screams as she saw the butler's dead body, but continues running out the still-open front door. Elizabeth hastily descends down the stairs and heads for the door to make her escape until her path was blocked by Ragetti as he jumps over the handrail and lands between her and the front door, growling angrily. She turns around to head back upstairs, only for Pintel to block her from behind. Elizabeth catches movement in the corner of her eye and turns to the left as another pirate exits the dining room with his arms full of golden chalices, plates, and other priceless baubles. A few seconds later, a cannonball fired from the Black Pearl flies into the mansion through a window in the foyer and hits the pirate with the loot, sending him smashing through the doors to the dining room. Then, Elizabeth, Pintel, and Ragetti look up to see the suspended chandelier break off from its chain. Elizabeth quickly runs for the dining room and moves out of the way, avoiding the chandelier as it crashes down onto the foyer floor.
Inside the dining room, Elizabeth closes the doors behind her and seals it off with a three-branched candelabra, setting it upside-down on the door knobs. After that, she runs over to the fireplace and grabs one of the crossed swords above it, but they were stuck in the ornamental shield as she pulls the entire decoration piece off from its position. Unable to defend herself, Elizabeth drops the ornamental shield and runs to find someplace to hide. Soon, Pintel and Ragetti break through the door and look around the room. Elizabeth was nowhere in sight. Ragetti wanted to head out the open window, thinking the girl had escaped, but Pintel grabbed him by his left-shoulder and stopped him. He knew that she was still inside the mansion. Turning around to their right, the pirates face the rest of the dining room.
"We know you're 'ere, poppet!" Pintel says
"Poppet!" Ragetti calls
"Come out. We promise we won't hurt you." Pintel says
"Eh?" Ragetti says looking at his partner on his left with a confused expression
Pintel turns to Ragetti with an annoyed expression, raising his right-eyebrow. Ragetti soon realized that he was only bluffing to lure Elizabeth out of hiding, and the pirates continued to look around for any possible hiding spots.
"We will find you, poppet." Pintel says
Elizabeth was hidden away in a closet, watching the pirates silently through the crack in the doors with the orange light of Ragetti's torch shining through.
"You've got something of ours, and it calls to us." Pintel says
Pintel looks down at the floor and noticed that a corner of the carpet had been folded over from movement, but not by them. He then lifts his head up and looks over at the closet, tracing it back to there.
"The gold calls to us..." Pintel says
"The gold." Ragetti chuckles
Elizabeth glances down and gazes upon the medallion in her hands. She realized that these pirates were searching for the gold coin in her possession. And as she stared down at the medallion, Elizabeth realized something else. Perhaps the ship outside was the same one she saw eight years ago when she was a child, and these pirates were the ones searching for their treasure. A shadow blocks out the light of Ragetti's torch, forcing Elizabeth to look up, and her eyes widened with fear when she saw Pintel looking right at her.
"'Ello, poppet." Pintel says smiling
The pirates open the closet and close in on the trapped Elizabeth. But before they could do anything to her, she stops them with a single word.
"Parley!" Elizabeth says
Pintel and Ragetti stop and stare at Elizabeth in surprise as though they were familiar with the term.
"What?" Pintel says
"Parley. I invoke the right of parley. According to the Code of the Brethren set down by the pirates Morgan and Bartholomew, you have to take me to your captain." Elizabeth says
"I know the Code." Pintel says narrowing his eyes
"If an adversary demands parley, you can do them no harm until the parley is complete." Elizabeth says
"To blazes with the Code!" Ragetti growls
"She wants to be taken to the captain!" Pintel says turning to his partner
Pintel turns back as he and Ragetti faced Elizabeth once more, keeping his pistol pointed at her.
"And she'll go without a fuss. We must honor the Code." Pintel says
Returning to the town, the pirates continued their rampage with two men throw a large barrel through the glass window of a shop, breaking into the building to steal its valuables. Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Barf and Belch, and Will Turner were in the midst of a fierce battle as they fought waves of both Heartless and the pirate crew of the Black Pearl. Will Turner focused more on the pirates as he was familiar in fighting them, while Devon, Sora, and the others focused on the Heartless since they were the greater threat to Port Royal, though they helped deal with the pirates wherever they could.
Luna shoots a plasma blast at a Shadow on her left, rams her head into another one, smacks a third Shadow away with her right-wing, then stomps her right-paw down on a third one infront of her. Three pirates charge toward the female Night Fury to attack her, but she spins around to the left and sweeps them away with a wide stroke of her tail. Suddenly, a large anchor shoots towards the black dragoness with incredible speed. Luna senses the incoming danger and leaps backwards, dodging the anchor as it hits her former spot. The attack came from an Anchor Raider, who pulls its anchor back and spins its chain in the air like the propeller of a helicopter as it approaches her. Luna shoots two plasma blasts at the Heartless, her shots striking its chest. The Anchor Raider responds by launching its anchor at Luna again. This time, the female Night Fury leaps over to the left and catches the chain in her mouth. Both sides engaged in a tug of war as the Anchor Raider pulled its chain, while the black dragoness stood her ground and pulled back. Eventually, after a six second struggle, Luna's strength overpowers the Heartless and she yanks the humanoid creature down to her with a strong pull. Then, she tackles the Anchor Raider to the ground, bites down on its head with her powerful jaws, and finishes the Heartless off by ripping its head from its body, causing the dark creature to vanish back into darkness.
Goofy launches himself forward like a rocket and smashes into several Shadows, Spear Lizards, and Lance Soldiers at high speed, while Donald covers him with his Flare spell, summoning a barrage of orange and blue colored rockets and sending them flying into multiple targets, hitting both Heartless and the pirates with colorful explosions.
Toothless jumps over to the left and grabs a Lance Soldier as it lunges forward with its lance, catching its weapon with his teeth, then turns around to his right and throws it into another Lance Soldier behind him.
Stormfly swings her tail and shoots her spines at two Cannon Guns, hitting them with multiple shots. Two pirates run toward the Deadly Nadder and her rider with an aggressive frontal charge and swing their swords at them. Stormfly leaps away into the air, dodging the blades of the pirates, then swoops back down and snatches up the two marauders in her talons, forcing them to dropping their weapons in the process. The pirates struggle in the dragon's talons, but were helpless against her grip. The Deadly Nadder soon throws away the pirates with a kick of her legs, sending them crashing through the glass window and the roof of a building.
Meatlug clamps down on a pirate infront of her with the lower half of his body sticking out of her mouth, while the man flailed his legs and screamed with pain. Eventually, the brown Gronckle turns to her right and tosses the pirate away. Four Lance Soldiers rush towards Meatlug and her rider at high speed, thrusting their lances forward as they attack, but she runs at the Heartless and rams her head into them, plowing straight through the dark creatures like a charging bull.
Hookfang grabs a Cannon Gun in his mouth and shook it around a bit before throwing the Heartless down to the ground and crushing it underneath his right-foot. On the right, three Spear Lizards throw their fish skeleton spears at the Monstrous Nightmare, but he shields himself with his right-wing and roars loudly before breathing a stream of fire at the Heartless.
Barf breathes a stream of gas from left to right onto a group of Shadows, Lance Soldiers, and Spear Lizards, and Belch ignites the gas with his sparks, creating a series of explosions that blasts away the Heartless. Four pirates rush towards the Hideous Zippleback and its riders to attack from behind, but the two-headed dragon sweeps them away as it swings its two tails from right to left.
Devon and Sora slashed through several Shadows each with a swipe of their Keyblades. Devon swings Soul Calibur with a left upward slash, a two-handed over-the-shoulder slash, four left and right slashes, a roundhouse uppercut slash, and a reverse roundhouse slash, cutting through his batch of Heartless, while Sora attacks with three thrusting strikes, a right slash, an uppercut slash, a jumping strike, and a lunging outward slash. Two Anchor Raiders approached the Keyblade Wielders and fly them with their large swords pulled across their bodies, poised to strike. Devon and Sora leap upwards to meet them head-on and block their attacks, causing the Heartless to flinch. From there, the young teens make their move. In the air, Devon strikes his Anchor Raider with five roundhouse kicks, three right spinning slashes, four somersault slashes, and a strong overhead slash all in quick succession. Sora hits his Anchor Raider with a flurry of aerial slashes, beginning with four somersault slashes, alternating between a tilt left and right, four left spinning slashes, two backwards somersault slashes, a wide right slash, and finishes with downward arc slash. Both Heartless are defeated and the boys drop down and land on their feet.
After defeating their group of Heartless, Devon and Sora looked around as the rest of their friends continued fighting. Then, they noticed that Spyro and Cynder were both fighting against several Spear Lizards and a Hunchclaw.
Spyro leaps backwards, dodging a downward swing from one of the aquatic creatures, and dodges another Spear Lizard as it shoots water with a swing of its fish skeleton spear in an arc-shaped motion. After evading their attacks, the purple dragon uses his Ice Breath and freezes the three Spear Lizards infront of him with a blast of cold frost from his mouth, then rams his horns into the frozen Heartless, smashing them to pieces. Cynder spits a boiling green blast of acidic venom at a Spear Lizard infront of her, which spreads to the other two alongside it, and she rams her head into the Heartless, bashing it away. Moving onto her next target, the black dragoness spins around to the left and swings her tail at the second Spear Lizard, knocking it into the air, then leaps up and kicks it back down with her hind legs, sending it flying into the third one. After dealing with the Spear Lizards, the two dragons turned to face the Hunchclaw as it stomps toward them with heavy footsteps, uttering a deep, monstrous growl.
The two Keyblade Wielders were about to rush over and help them, when they heard the same heavy footsteps behind them. Turning around, Devon and Sora faced another Hunchclaw as it towered over them. The large Heartless lets out a roar and snaps both its crab-like pincers at the young teens, but they jump away and dodge the attack. Devon strikes the Hunchclaw in the face with a two-handed left downward slash, a single-handed outward right slash, a right upward sweeping slash, and a reverse roundhouse slash, while Sora swings his Kingdom Key with a spinning left slash, a right slash, a wide left slash, an overhead slash, an uppercut slash, three right spinning slashes, and a roundhouse slash. Their attacks inflicted some slight damage to the Heartless, but not much since its keratin exoskeleton was strong. Again, the Hunchclaw attacks the Keyblade Wielders, snapping its right-claw at them with a wide swing. Devon dashes around to the left toward the back of the Heartless, sliding underneath its large pincer, while Sora jumps backwards. Facing the rear of the Hunchclaw, Devon noticed the crack in its exoskeleton, which he assumed was its weak spot. The Hunchclaw turned to face him and snaps its claws at him again. This time, Devon leaps up and vaults over the Heartless with an inverted flip, striking the weak spot on its back with a downward slash. The Hunchclaw roars in pain as it felt the strong blow, and it falls forward onto its stomach. The crack in its shell grew larger. Devon lands on his feet beside Sora on his left.
"Devon! Look! On its back!" Sora exclaims
"Yeah. I know. Let's crack it wide open." Devon says
"Got it!" Sora says
Sora runs up to the downed Heartless and hammers its weak spot with several strikes, swinging his Keyblade left and right. Every hit created more and more cracks in the Hunchclaw's exoskeleton until it finally breaks open on the tenth strike, revealing a large spot of black and red-orange in its body. With his target in view, Devon dashes toward the Heartless, leaps up into the air, pulls Soul Calibur back and thrusts his crystal Keyblade forward, stabbing straight into the Hunchclaw's back. The large crawfish creature lets out a loud, agonizing roar as it felt the fatal blow and it falls still. Devon removes his Keyblade from the creature's back and jumps down to Sora's side as they watched the Heartless glowed with light and vanish into oblivion, releasing its captive heart into the sky.
With the Heartless taken care of, Devon and Sora looked back at Spyro and Cynder and saw they were having trouble dealing with their Hunchclaw. Spyro shoots a blast of red-orange flames against the large Heartless using his Fire Breath, while Cynder uses her Shadow Breath, breathing a blast of dark blue flames to help out her partner. The Hunchclaw shields its face from the dragons' attacks with left-claw, and responds by smashing down with its large pincers. The purple dragon and black dragoness leap away, dodging the pincers as they smash down on their former position. Without delay, Devon and Sora rush over to lend their aid. Luna had just finished dealing with her group of enemies and looks over to her right as she notices the two Keyblade Wielders running towards Spyro and Cynder. The female Night Fury heads over to join them and offer her assistance.
Will held up his weapons above his head, blocking an overhead strike from a pirate that attacked him, and fights back with a swing of his sword in his right-hand. The pirate blocks the attack and swings his sword away to the right, then grabs Will by his left-arm and pulls him closer.
"Say good-bye." The pirate says holding up his hatchet
Before the pirate could do anything to Will, a cannonball fired from the Black Pearl hits the top of the building above them, breaking the chains that held the wooden sign of the establishment. Will immediately moves out of the way to the left as the sign swings down from its post, knocking the pirate through the glass window.
"Good-bye." Will says
Will turns around to his right towards the world-travelers as they mopped up the last of the Heartless and runs over to join them. The final Hunchclaw collapses to the ground and fades away into oblivion with Devon, Sora, and the others standing infront of it. With the Heartless vanquished, Devon turns to his right and faces his friends.
"Is everyone alright?" Devon asks
Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, the Viking Teens, the dragons, and Will Turner all nod their heads. Then, the group notice Elizabeth Swann being forced through the street by Pintel and Ragetti.
"Elizabeth..." Will says
"Wait! Stop!" Devon shouts
Devon, Sora, and Co. run ahead to chase after the two pirates as they hastily continued down the street. Will was about to join them in the pursuit, but stopped when he saw Jacoby, the pirate he supposedly 'killed' earlier.
"Hello." Jacoby says waving his left-hand
Will Turner tilted his head to the left in confusion. How could the pirate have survived a deadly blow to the back? Before he could think of it further, Will follows Jacoby's gaze as they look down. A hand grenade was only inches from Will's feet with its fuse lit! Luckily, the grenade failed to detonate. It was a dud. Jacoby's smile faded when he saw this and he looks back up at Will, who was now smiling. But before the blacksmith could do anything, another pirate runs up behind him.
"Out of my way, scum!" The pirate says
The pirate bashes Will in the head from behind with a pan and continues running past him, while he falls to the ground unconscious. Jacoby cackles with laughter and runs off elsewhere in the town.
Over at the prison in Fort Charles, Jack Sparrow continued watching the attack as it raged on, until a shot from the Black Pearl is blasted toward the prison. He ducks down from the window as the walls of the cells exploded inwards. Pushing himself up, Jack saw freedom beyond the gaping hole created by the cannonball. Unfortunately, it was centered on the other cell. His criminal companions saw their chance for escape and began making their way out. One of the prisoners looks back at the locked Jack and expressed his regret.
"My sympathies, friend. You've no manner of luck at all." Prisoner #1 says
The seedy prisoners began their descent down the walls of the British garrison, cackling as they experienced the relief of freedom. Above Port Royal, the clouds shift and a blue full moon shines its light down on the island, through the gaping hole in the fort and the prison bars.
Now alone the cell block, Jack Sparrow picks up the bone from the other cell and sticks it out of his cell, whistling and calling out to the Prison Dog, who was cowering under a long bench.
"Come on, doggy. It's just you and me now. It's you and 'ol Jack. Come on." Jack says
The dog crawled out from under the bench and slowly starts to walk toward Jack's cell as he continued coaxing him closer.
"Come on. That's a boy. Good boy. Come and get the bone. That's a good boy. Come on. Bit closer. Bit closer. That's it. That's it, doggy. Come on, you filthy, slimy, mangy cur!" Jack says
The key ring was nearly within Jack's reach, when a loud bang is heard. The dog looks back over its right-side toward the door into the cell block, whining with fright, and dashes away past Jack.
"No, no, no! I didn't mean it! I didn't... Oh!" Jack says
Jack turns back to the cell block's entrance and watched as a dead Royal Marine rolls down to the bottom of the stone stairs, followed by a pair of pirates named Koehler and Twigg, who were members of Jack's old crew.
Koehler was a skinny, dark-skinned man with brown eyes, black dreadlocks, and a Jamaican accent, wearing a dark brown jacket, tan trousers, and black shoes. A strap from his right-shoulder carried the scabbard of his cutlass, which hung over the left-side of his waist.
Twigg was a tan-skinned man with green eyes, bearing a scar on the left-side of his face, and a bushy brown beard, wearing a tan bandanna over his head, a tan jacket, brown trousers, and tan shoes.
"This ain't the armory!" Twigg shouts
The two pirates soon spotted their former captain in his cell and approached him.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here, Twigg. Captain Jack Sparrow." Koehler says
Koehler spits down at the floor near Jack's feet.
"Last time I saw you, you were all alone on a godforsaken island, shrinking in the distance. His fortunes aren't improved much." Twigg says
"Worry about your own fortunes, gentlemen. The deepest circle of Hell is reserved for betrayers and mutineers." Jack says
Koehler growls with anger and suddenly grabs Jack's throat through the bars of his cell with his right-hand. In the shaft of the moonlight, his arm, wrist, and hand took on a skeletal appearance. Jack's eyes widened as he looked down at Koehler's skeleton arm.
"So there is a curse. That's interesting." Jack says
"You know nothing of Hell." Koehler says with a sneer
The dark-skinned Jamaican pirate releases his grip on Jack's throat and pulls his hand away, which returns to normal, then he and Twigg took their leave of the prison block, heading out the same way they came. Jack Sparrow watched them leave, then looks down at the bone in his right-hand as he mulls over what he just saw.
"That's very interesting." Jack says
Outside, the moon disappears behind the clouds as they slowly move infront of it, blotting out its light. Amid the thunder of cannon fire, a longboat full of pirates, and Elizabeth Swann, slipped through the fog. Columns of water from the cannonballs geyser up around the boat. Elizabeth looked up and saw the Black Pearl looming high above her. At the bow was an ornately carved figurehead of a beautiful woman, her left-arm held high with a small bird taking wing from her outstretched hand. On the deck, by the ship's wheel, stood an imposing silhouetted figure, more than likely the Captain of the Black Pearl, who watched the pirates under his command as they shouted excitedly and continued laying siege to Port Royal.
Elizabeth boards the ship with Pintel and Ragetti and looks over to her left to see the Pirate Captain watching her. A capuchin monkey with a white face and brown fur swings down from a rope and perches itself onto his left-shoulder, wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and a black vest. They made their way across the deck until they were confronted by a large, tall, dark-skinned African pirate named Bo'sun, who had tattooed dots surrounding his eyes and mouth, and ritualistic scars covering his face and his shirtless, muscular body, wearing tan pants with a brown belt, a tan sash on his left-hip, black boots, and a black leather strap over his right-shoulder, which carried the scabbard of his scimitar. Seeing the young woman in Pintel and Ragetti's custody, Bo'sun questioned their motive as he spoke with a heavily accented voice.
"I didn't know we was takin' on captives." Bo'sun says
"She's invoked the right of parley with Captain Barbossa." Pintel says
"I am here to negotiate-" Elizabeth says
Bo'sun slaps Elizabeth across the face with the back of his right-hand, silencing her.
"You will speak when spoken to." Bo'sun says
Suddenly, the wrist of Bo'sun's hand was grabbed by the hand of another individual, causing all activity on the deck to cease.
This hand belonged to Captain Hector Barbossa, who was a ruthless and cunning English/Irish pirate of treacherous morality. Grim and rough-edged, he had a weathered, gaunt face covered with pockmarks or freckles, and he had many scars, the most notable one under his right-eye. The white of his blue eyes was more yellow, giving him His brown, greying hair was long, shoulder-length, and partially loose, partially tied up to a thin plait. A thick, wiry, straggly beard lined his face, running down to the base of his neck, and a braid descended from the top of his head to the back. As a Pirate Captain, Barbossa wore fine clothing befitting a man of his stature and status. A long, black dress coat, full breeches, a brown, double-breasted waistcoat elaborately ornamented by a pattern, and a grey dress coat with black cuffs, black liner and thin black brims around the buttonholes, fitted with buttons made from melted down Inca silver stolen from Spanish ships. He also wore brown leather swash boots, a faded light-green bandanna, a gold sash worn under a leather black belt with a patinated bronze buckle and a leather baldric with a big, frame-shaped silver buckle, a smaller silver loop and a silver cover at the end, all three elaborately ornamented. From his neck and over his right-shoulder, Barbossa wore a brown belt decorated with many silver ornaments, which held the holster for his pistol and the scabbard for his basket-handled rapier at his left-hip. On his left-hand, he wore a black fingerless glove, and a black leather gauntlet, presumably for protection. And atop his head was a big, round dark hat decorated with blue ostrich feathers as a show of vanity.
Still holding Bo'sun's wrist with his left-hand, Captain Barboss spoke to his first mate with a voice gravelly with age, but still powerful.
"And ye will not lay a hand to those under the protection of parley." Barbossa says
"Aye, sir." Bo'sun says
Barbossa released his grip on Bo'sun's wrist, and turned his attention to the young maiden that stood before him.
"Apologies, miss." Barbossa says
"Captain Barbossa, I am here to negotiate the cessation of hostilities against Port Royal." Elizabeth says
"There were a lot of long words there, miss. We're not but humble pirates. What is it that you want?" Barbossa says
"I want you to leave and never come back." Elizabeth says
All the pirates laughed.
"I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request." Barbossa says
Elizabeth stares at the Pirate Captain in confusion.
"Means 'No'." Barbossa says
Again, Elizabeth stares at the pirates and nods her head, noting their refusal to cooperate, but she was anything if not clever, and she knew of a way that would get them to change their mind.
"Very well." Elizabeth says
Turning around to her left, the young woman moves onto the next part of her negotiations. She slips off the medallion from around her neck and dangles it over the side of the ship, threatening to release the gold coin into the deep waters of the bay.
"I'll drop it." Elizabeth says
Barbossa seemed a bit surprised to see the medallion in her possession as the light from the cannon fire showed it in her left-hand. However, he simply smiled and scoffed at her threat.
"Me holds are burstin' with swag. That bit of shine matters to us? Why?" Barbossa asks
"It's what you've been searching for. I recognize this ship. I saw it eight years ago on the crossing of England." Elizabeth says
"Did you now?" Barbossa says raising his right-eyebrow with slight interest
Elizabeth glances around at the pirates that surrounded her, then faces Barbossa.
"Fine. Well, I suppose if it is worthless, there's no point in me keeping it." Elizabeth says
The medallion dropped a few inches as Elizabeth loosened her grip on the chain, and both Barbossa and his crew all gasped and jumped forward.
"No!" Barbossa gasps
Elizabeth smiled as she saw the pirates' need for the treasure. She knew they cared for the medallion, and if they wanted it, they would have to agree to her terms. Barbossa chuckled in amusement and steps forward to approach the young maiden.
"You have a name, missy?" Barbossa asks
Elizabeth gave the pirates her first name as she introduced herself, but paused for a moment before giving them a different surname, remembering Estrella's warning about the Governor's daughter being valuable.
"Elizabeth... Turner. I'm a maid in the Governor's household." Elizabeth says
Barbossa nodded his head with great interest and turned to the rest of his crew. His reaction to the name 'Turner' obviously had some kind of significance to him.
"Miss Turner!" Barbossa says
The other pirates were fascinated as they surreptitiously exchanged glances and nods, murmuring amongst themselves.
"Bootstrap!" Pintel gasps
Barbossa turns back to his left and faces Elizabeth, curious as to how the medallion came into her possession.
"And how does a maid come to own a trinket such as that? Family heirloom, perhaps?" Barbossa asks
"I didn't steal it, if that's what you're asking." Elizabeth says
"Very well. You hand it over and we'll put your town to our rudder and ne'er return." Barbossa says holding out his right-hand
Elizabeth was a bit hesitant to surrender her precious treasure, but knew she had no choice. She had to save the people of Port Royal from the senseless bloodshed. And so, she drops the medallion into the open palm of the Pirate Captain's hand. Barbossa hands the gold coin to his pet monkey, who takes it away and climbs up the rigging of the ship.
"Our bargain?" Elizabeth asks
Barbossa turns away to his right and walks across the deck, nodding his head to Bo'sun as he passes him by.
"Still the guns and stow 'em. Signal the men and make good to clear port." Bo'sun commands
As the pirates hustle to follow orders, Elizabeth weaves her way through them and chases after Barbossa as he walks toward the stern of his ship, demanding that he returns her back to the town.
"Wait! You have to take me to shore! According to the Code of the Order of the Brethren-" Elizabeth says
Before he could climb the stairs that led up to the stern, Barbossa turns around to his right and faces Elizabeth Swann once more, explaining the three flaws in her negotiations.
"First, your return to shore was not part of our negotiations nor our agreement, so I must do nothing. And secondly, you must be a pirate for the Pirates' Code to apply, and you're not. And thirdly, the Code is more what'd you call guidelines than actual rules. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner." Barbossa says turning back to Elizabeth
After saying that, Barbossa turns away and continues up toward the stern, while Elizabeth stares in speechless terror. Pintel and Ragetti grab the young woman by her arms and take her away down to the ship's brig.
Back on Port Royal, after fighting their way through dozens of Heartless that blocked their path, Devon, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Luna, Spyro, Cynder, Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Snotlout, Hookfang, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Barf and Belch finally make it to the docks as they run out onto the boardwalk, but they were too late. The Black Pearl was already sailing out of the bay towards the open sea, followed by longboats that carried the pirates and their stolen loot.
"Oh no! We're too late!" Goofy says
As they gazed out at the Black Pearl, the heroes noticed a tall figure standing alone on the ship's stern. It was Captain Barbossa, staring out at them with his pet monkey, Jack, perched on his right-shoulder. Devon clenched his hands into fists and narrowed his eyes as he stared the Pirate Captain down. Barbossa clearly saw the expression on Devon's face and chuckled in amusement.
"Heh heh heh heh..." Barbossa chuckles
After staring at the heroes for long enough, Barbossa turns to his left and walks away out of view. Unable to pursue the pirates without a ship or a crew, Devon, Sora and their friends could only watch as the Black Pearl sails off into the night with a captured Elizabeth Swann onboard.
