Beginning A/N: Well, it's been a while, but here's a new chapter for everyone! Now that the email notification problem has been resolved, I can start working at my normal pace again! And just in time, too! I hope you all enjoy this new chapter!

Disclaimer: I don't own Ed, Edd n' Eddy, Marvel, or DC!

A Sister From Tamaran! Part 1

Ed whistled a merry tune as he walked down the street of a town he was patrolling in, carrying a bag of groceries with him.

It has been a month since Ed, Edd and Eddy had reunited and learned about each other's new powers. Ed being a Red Lantern, Double Dee being merged with a Klyntar named Riot, and even Eddy being the Golden Jaguar and the son of the Black Panther himself. And since they took down those members of Intergang who had invaded Gotham City and almost killed several innocent people. Including a pregnant woman and her unborn baby!

Now, however, Ed was doing a bit of personal grocery shopping for things he could only find in Jump City. Which, ironically, is the base of operations for the Teen Titans. Ordinarily, Ed's parents would have just ordered these things for him, but after the Joker's attack and subsequent destruction of the Cul-De-Sac, he had to get them himself now.

"I sure am glad that Double Dee got me into those Japanese snacks that they've started importing. Mochi has become one of my favorite sweets. Next to jawbreakers." Ed said to himself as he took out a gravy catalogue. "I also got my assorted gravies! There's Mexican Tamale gravy, and Scottish Haggis gravy, not to mention Swiss Cheese Chicken gravy! Yum!"

Yup. Some things about the now mostly dimwitted Ed-Boy would never change. And his appetite for gravy is one of them.

But Ed wasn't just there to do some personal grocery shopping. He was patrolling. He knew that the Titans have faced a cadre of villains the likes of which would normally be dealt with by the likes of the Justice League or the Avengers. And he was on the lookout in case one of their more dangerous enemies, such as the cult leader, Brother Blood, attacked. Then he would put them down if they were truly deserving of death. And if they weren't?

Well, he'd just beat them to a gooey pulp and toss them into the nearest prison cell to rethink their lives.

A little aggressive, I know, but can ya blame him? He's a Red Lantern.

"Hm. If I remember correctly, there is one member of the Titans whose sister should be being released from prison and put on parole today. What was her name again? Blackfire?" Ed said to himself.

Suddenly, he heard the unmistakable sound of star bolts being fired from overhead. He looked up and sure enough, there was Blackfire shooting her purple star bolts at what appeared to be galactic police robots. But that struck Ed as odd. Especially since he could see from Blackfire's obviously distressed facial expression that something wasn't right about this situation. So, he did the only logical thing that he could do at a time like this.

He rushed into a nearby alley, used one of the special teleporters that Double Dee created, and brandished his ring as he began to suit up in an eerie red glow.

"With blood and rage of crimson red, ripped from a corpse so wrongfully dead, as we brandish our righteous hate, we'll burn you all… that is your fate!" he recited.

And like that, Ed the Red Lantern was ready for action!

He blasted off towards the battle and quick as a flash created a giant spatula construct as he flew past Blackfire and towards the police drone.

"Out of the way, citizen!" exclaimed Ed.

"What'd you call me?" asked Blackfire.

Ed didn't answer her, but he did smash the drones to pieces with his giant spatula construct. And now that she got a good look at him, Blackfire was seriously shocked. How did a Red Lantern get this far into the galaxy without being noticed by the many resident Green Lanterns that seem to just pop up outta nowhere here on Earth? Still, he did save her, and the former princess of Tamaran wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.

"It's clear that this place isn't safe. Follow me. I'll lead you to a place where we can talk." Ed instructed.

Though reluctant to follow in fear that it might be a trap, Blackfire nodded and flew after Ed as he led her away from Jump City. And Blackfire reasoned that this was probably for the best. If she encountered her sister and her team, then they would stop at nothing to throw her back in jail even though she knows that she's been granted parole. She doesn't know why those police bots had been chasing her, but she didn't want to stick around to find out.

***To Be Continued…***

Ending A/N: I don't really know how to end this chapter gracefully, since I made it so short. I couldn't think of any more dialogue for this chapter, so I, unfortunately, had to split it into two parts. Still, thank you guys for reading, I'm glad the email notifications have been fixed, and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, my hatchlings!
