Ravage
When Rumble and Frenzy left with the Stolls, I knew the four of them were up to some antics. As they left, Laserbeak also left to fly around camp.
While they were put, Soundwave, Nico, and I were guessing what kind of antics they would be up to. I guessed that they were going to find the biggest monster nearby and pick a fight, Nico guessed that they would be pranking people, and Soundwave guessed that they'd be showing off.
We got our answer shortly after, with Rumble abd Frenzy running back over to us. When we asked what was going on, Frenzy explained that they were showing off his skills with shurikens. So, Soundwave was right. To be expected, since he knew his kids best.
They plopped down near Nico and began bragging about their exploit. Soon, they got a third narrator to their story, as Reyna came by the infirmary. She was curious about where we came from and why we had so many weapons built in.
Soundwave began giving her a brief but accurate description of the Great Cybertronian War, from the uprising against corrupt governments, to the corruption of the Decepticons, leading to the Civil War, and ending with the truce. Reyna listened to Soundwave intently the entire time.
While he was explaining the War, Reyna's gold and silver wolves took an interest in me. We do look sort of similar, being mechanical mammal-like creatures. Interestingly, I could understand them. Probably due to us both being similar.
They began to play-bow, a sign of wanting games. I decided to play along, nipping at their tails for a game of tag. I admit, it was fun. Although, they had some choice words when complaining about me climbing trees and swimming across creeks to get ahead.
We also played tug-of-war, using vines, branches, and whatever else didn't immediately snap in our jaws. This game was much more balanced, with them having numbers while I had strength. Although, sometimes the object we were tugging would snap.
Eventually, we had exhausted the number of games we could think of, and returned to our masters. Aurum and Argentum returned to Reyna's side while I returned with Soundwave. I do believe they saw us play, as Reyna had a slight smile and Soundwave slightly chuckled. I do admit, it was a good time of games. Although, I noticed that Rumble and Frenzy had left again.
Laserbeak
When Rumble and Frenzy ran off with the Stolls to mess around, I wanted to stretch my wings for a bit, as well as get my bearings. Soundwave allowed me to fly around, recording whatever I found interesting.
Flying above camp was a peaceful experience, feeling my wings cut through the air. I recorded several small things, including Percy and Jason sparring, Frenzy doing an apple-shot, and Frank and Hazel walking around camp.
Soon, I saw Rumble and Frenzy return from the archery range, with Reyna following soon after. The twins were chatting with Nico, Soundwave was talking with Reyna, and Ravage went into the forest with Aurum and Argentum.
I went to watch what Ravage and the wolves were doing, and it turns out they were playing. Ravage nipped at Aurum and Argentum's ankles to get them to chase him, and he began running through the forest. When they were done with tag, they went into tug-of-war. It was nice to see Ravage relax once in a while.
I flew overhead for a bit before going around camp again. I noticed that Rumble and Frenzy had left with the Stolls again. Shortly after they left, Ravage, Aurum, and Argentum came out of the forest. It was a nice day.
Rumble
While Frenzy and I were sitting, having a chat with Nico, the Stolls came over again.
Connor greeted, "Hey guys!"
"'Sup?" I responded.
"Up for some pranking?"
"Eh, why not?"
"Sweet!"
With that, we were off again. This time, we didn't really have any goal, we just wanted to mess with people. We found our first opportunity when we went by the Aphrodite cabin.
Frenzy heard that this gal named Drew was in the bathroom doing her makeup. We heard she was a real piece of slag, and made the lives of the Aphrodite campers miserable. I decided to pay her back in kind by using my pile drivers to make a small earthquake. Not enough to damage the building, as Annabeth fixed it, but just enough to knock her down. Frenzy heard the thud of her falling over, and that was our cue to leave.
Next, we saw some Ares kids milling around, checking on the landmines near their cabin. That was Frenzy's time, as he threw some shurikens to detonate some of the landmines that were far enough away to not hurt anyone, but close enough to give them a scare. We waited to make sure that the shurikens hit, then dipped.
Lastly, we encountered a group of Roman guys chatting. This was a job for the Stolls. As Frenzy and I made a bit of noise to distract them, the Stolls picked their pockets, making off with a couple of drachmas. They even managed to nearly steal one of their weapons. We dropped it on the ground in a place where they could find it, just wanting to be an inconvenience.
The reason that was the last prank was because Soundwave was calling us. He told us that we were doing a performance, so we had to be there. We were excited, as music was the only thing we liked more than pranks or fighting.
We took a moment to invite the Stolls before hightailing it to Soundwave. We saw hum setting up, and we also saw Laserbeak flying over.
Soundwave
As we were standing near the infirmary, Will came out to tell us something.
Will asked, "Hey, Soundwave?"
"Yes?" I responded.
"Since today's been pretty slow, I can take a bit of time off. How about you show off some of your music skills?"
"That would be good."
"Nice! Now, just to make sure, is there anything you'd need?"
"Just a stage and a drum kit for Rumble."
"Got it. Although, don't Ravage and Frenzy need instruments as well?"
"Negative. Ravage is Frenzy'a instrument, like Laserbeak is mine."
"Whoa, cool!"
"Thank you."
"Alright, I'll get everything set in the sword fighting arena, so just get everyone there. Okay?"
"Affirmative."
"Nice! See you in a bit."
Will went off to get a drum kit for Rumble. While he usually used Buzzsaw as his guitar, he could also play the drums in his absence. As such, all I needed was to get them to the arena.
I sent out a message as Nico, Ravage, and I were walking over. It only took me a bit, and I saw that the Hephaestus and Apollo campers had worked together for a temporary stage and a drum kit that could handle Rumble's strength.
A few seconds later, Laserbeak and the twins came over. We set up, Rumble at the drums, Frenzy with the synth (Ravage), and me at lead guitar (Laserbeak.)
A small crowd, consisting mainly of Apollo and Hephaestus campers with a few other miscellaneous campers. I was able to see Annabeth, Percy, Nico, Will, Reyna, the Stolls, Frank, Hazel, and Chiron in the crowd.
After a bit of set up, we began playing. [Author's note: I recommend listening to Soundwave's theme from Transformers: Devastation at this moment, as that's what they're playing.]
I lead with a hitting riff, Rumble provided a beat, and Frenzy came in with cascading synth. We had practiced this song in our spare time, as we found it fun. Clearly, the crowd also enjoyed the music. Many looked pleasantly surprised, while Apollo camper musicians looked impressed.
We proceded with the song, emulating 80's metal, a human genre I, along with many other Cybertronians that were on earth, was partial to.
In the middle, I began to let Frenzy take a bit of the lead, with Rumble still providing the drum beat. Then, I re-entered near the end of the song, joining with Frenzy and Rumble in a higher-energy climax. Then, I played the final part of the song, with Frenzy topping it off with some synth.
The crowd of demigods appreciatively applauded, impressed. Although, I am aware that 80's metal isn't exactly what they play most of the time. Still, it was nice.
As the crowd dispersed, returning to their activities, Annabeth approached me.
So! This chapter was sort-of inspired by the Avatar: the Last Airbender episode about the cast's standalone mini-adventures. This is sort of a way to add a bit of lower-energy stuff to break up some of the pacing so it's not constantly action.
Also, I do recommend listening to the entire "Transformers: Devastation" soundtrack if you haven't, 'cause their music is great! I recommend you go to MtnDew BahaBlast for the soundtrack, as they uploaded everything. I seriously love the music from that game.
