Chapter 4
(Abandoned Earth Kingdom village)
Naruto was running from Azula, as she fired some azure flames at him, which he dodged.
"Hold still, so that I can hit you!" Azula yelled.
"Nah, you gotta work for that gold eyes. Oh, do I have to pay to look you in the eyes, since they look like gold" Naruto said with a grin over his shoulder, as he jumped away from Azula.
Azula growled, as she followed after Naruto.
"Wow, he's actually in her head, making her make mistakes," Zuko said with a slightly impressive look.

Zuko turned to attack Aang, but a hand grabbed his shoulder, and when he looked, he saw that it was Iroh.
"Uncle? What are you doing here?" Zuko asked in surprise.
"I have been following you since you left, and it looks like you need help with Azula," Iroh said.
"Not really, she's busy stalking her boyfriend," Zuko said with a snicker.
Iroh gained a surprised look on his face at this. "Who would be….brave enough to -" he was saying, before he saw Naruto appear from an alleyway.
"You know, you would have pretty eyes, if I didn't see crazy whenever I look into them," Naruto yelled as he dodged around Azula's attacks, as he ran.
"Do you ever shut up?!" Azula yelled, as she fired a trail of fire in the air with her fingertips, before she brought the fire down in an attempt to burn Naruto.
Naruto spun around, and made the fire disperse as he fell to the ground.
Before Azula could attack again, the earth moved from under her, making her trip and fall to the floor.
"Stay down. You're outnumbered, and I don't think whiskers wants to actually hurt you" Toph said, while in her battle stance.
Azula made a move to fire an attack at Toph, but suddenly both her arms were encased in blocks of ice.
"Are you all ok?" Katara asked, while Yue ran to Naruto, to help him up.
"Yea. She didn't brand you as her pet, did she?" Will asked, as she landed Appa.
"She came quite close a few times," Naruto said, as he dusted himself off.
Azula growled as she used her fire to free her hands, and glared before she ducked and jumped back from Sokka, who swung his mallet at her head from behind.
"Wow, she's got good instincts, even when she's mad," Naruto said.
"Stop checking out your stalker" Toph said, as she threw a few rocks at Azula.
"Why are you jealous?" Naruto asked with a teasing grin.
"You wish," Toph said with a huff.
Azula dodged the attacks of the group, but soon she was cornered and everyone looked at her, and their attacks ready if she did anything.
"Well well, enemies and traitors all working together" Azula said, as she glared at Zuko and Iroh.
"I would give up now. You're good, but not that good" Naruto said with a hard look.
Azula held up her hands in surrender, before she quickly fired an attack at Iroh, which struck him in the chest.
Everyone sent their attacks at Azula, but before the attacks hit, she made a fire sphere around herself, which blocked the attacks and made an explosion.
When the smoke dispersed, they saw that Azula was gone.
"Ok, so maybe she is that good," Will said.
Naruto didn't respond to this and looked at Iroh, who was on the ground with Zuko checking on him.
"Get away!" Zuko yelled at Katara and Yue, who approached them to help.
"Zuko, we can help," Katara said, trying to calm him down.
Zuko turned to attack them, but his fist was caught by Will, who judo flipped him onto his back hard.
Zuko yelled out in pain at this, but jumped onto his feet and pulled two swords off his back, before Naruto slugged him in the stomach hard.
Zuko keeled over, and fell over, knocked out.
"Take a timeout, your highness," Naruto said.
"Ok, heal up the old guy. I like him" Will said to Katara.
Katara nodded at this, and approached Iroh as she used her waterbending to heal his wound.
"So, what's the plan after we heal up the old guy?" Sokka asked curiously.
"Well, we could take these guys with us," Aang said with a smile.
"Yea, they look like they need a good meal" Will said, as she nodded in agreement.
"Really? I feel the old guy is pudgy" Toph said, as she looked towards Iroh.
"Why are we helping the enemy?" Sokka asked, as Naruto picked up Zuko and carried him towards Appa.
"3 reasons ponytail. 1: they are obviously not on the same side as the fire nation, if they are fighting against Azula" Naruto said, as he held up a finger.
"2: working with them actually made fighting Azula a little easier" Will said, holding up two fingers.
"And 3: we need a Firebending teacher for sparky and twinkle toes," Toph said, holding up three fingers.
"Oh yea. The old guy was able to take on Zhao and his men on his own, back at the North Pole" Sokka said with a nod of remembrance.
"Fine. But Naruto is on prince guard duty" Katara said, as she stood up from healing Iroh.
"How is he?" Naruto asked her.
"He will be fine, but he needs rest. So let's get him on Appa" Yue said.
"Ok snoozles, get moving" Toph said, as she and Sokka picked up Iroh, and carried him to Appa.
"Ok, let's go find a campsite and get some sleep," Naruto said, as they all climbed on Appa.
"You're on watch, since we now have a hot head to watch" Toph said, gesturing at Zuko.

"Oh fine. Come on Kurama, let's go finish up dinner for everyone" Will said, as she picked up Kurama, and walked off.
Zuko glared at Will, as she opened a pot that was on the campfire, and when he smelled the food, his stomach growled loudly.
"Are you hungry?" Naruto asked curiously.
Zuko growled at this, and glared at Naruto. "I'm not gonna beg for food, you -" he was saying, before Naruto interrupted him.
Naruto put up his hand at this. "I'm not gonna make you beg for food. I'm actually asking if you're hungry" he said with a friendly smile.
Zuko blinked at this, not expecting this at all.
Will groaned at this, as she stirred the pot of stew.
"How's it going up here?" Toph asked, as she came out of the tent with Yue, as they both stretched themselves.
"Naruto is talking to captain happy, and trying to be his friend," Will said, gesturing the spoon in their direction, before returning to the pot, to continue stirring it.
Yue smiled at this.
"Watch him actually make friends with him," Toph said with a chuckle.
"I'll take that bet!" Sokka yelled, as he came out of the tent with Aang.
"Is Katara still asleep?" Will asked curiously.
"No no, she is checking on….Iroh right?" Aang yelled to Zuko, wanting to make sure he had his name right.
"My uncle? Is he OK?" Zuko asked, sounding worried.
"He's fine. Katara and Yue healed him. He's been resting, while you have been in time out" Will said with a smirk, as Sokka and Toph laughed.
"Hey, I didn't Ok spikes" Aang said with a frown, at the spikes under Zuko.

"Hey, how do we know he won't lie?" Will asked, giving Zuko a hard glare.
"2 reasons. 1: Toph and 2: he's actually got some honor from what Aang says. Right, Blue Spirit?" Naruto asked with a smile at Zuko.
Zuko looked to the side at this, while the others beside Aang looked confused.
"Uh, am I missing something here?" Sokka asked, looking at Aang.
"Well, remember the time I had to go get a cure for you and Katara, when you were sick?" Aang asked them.

"What's going on?" Katara asked, as she and Iroh walked out of the tent.

Aang nodded with a smile. "Anyway, while I was on that adventure, Zhao captured me and Zuko actually saved me," he said.
"I didn't do it because I wanted to save you," Zuko said with a glare.

Zuko growled at this, but looked at Naruto. "Fine. I promise on my honor to not attack any of you. Now get me down!" he yelled, as he squirmed.

Zuko sat next to Iroh, while Will and Katara passed out bowls of stew to everyone.

"So Zuko and Iroh, what happened to your ship? I recall you had a crew too" Sokka said, as he took a spoonful of soup.
Iroh signed at this. "Sadly, Zhao took our crew before the attempt to invade the North Pole. And after that, we had to go on the run because the Fire Lord labeled us as traitors" he said, as he dunked some bread into his soup.
Naruto frowned at this. "I'm gonna assume it's because you tried to stop Zhao from hurting the moon spirit?" he asked.
"And why Naruto's stalker is against you too?" Will said, sipping some soup from her bowl.
Zuko snorted at this while the others laughed

"Whatever, I'm not doing this. Uncle, finish your food, and meet me nearby when you are done" Zuko said.
"Your ostrich thing is by the rock" Will said, as she waved her hand dismissively.
Zuko said nothing, as he walked to where Will had gestured.
Naruto sighed at this, as he followed Zuko.
"Ok, get your bets in. I'm giving 1 in 5 on Zuko joining us, after Naruto talks to him" Toph said.
"You know how to take bets?" Yue asked her curiously.
"I snuck into the city a lot, princess. I know a lot about this kind of thing. Now, who wants in?" Toph asked.

Naruto raised an eyebrow at this. "Ok, I'm lost. How did you lose your honor?" he asked curiously.
Zuko turned around, and gave Naruto a curious look.
"Look, you don't have to tell me, but I have been through a lot. Maybe I can give you a different perspective, if you tell me" Naruto said, as he rested his hands behind his head.
Zuko looked at Naruto, and saw that he was honest with him, and sighed. "Fine" he said, as he sat down on a rock to tell his story.

Zuko looked at her in surprise. "How long have you been here?" he asked her.

"Well?" Will asked.
"No," Zuko said, as he looked at Will and Naruto. "All my life, I was taught that the war was started, to share the Fire Nation's greatness with the rest of the world. But everyone doesn't see our greatness, they hate us" he said with a scowl.
"Yea, they definitely do" Will said bluntly with a nod.
"And what do you think should be done, to make things better?" Naruto asked, as he folded his arms.
Zuko looked at Naruto, and thought about it for a moment. "I think the war should end, and the four nations should be separate, but at peace with each other" he said.
Naruto smiled at this. "Then you should join us, and you will definitely get what you want if we win," he said.
"If we win?" Will asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, Aang still needs a FireBending teacher," Naruto said with a knowing smirk.
