Fiver limped his way over to Holly and Bluebell, His wound being felt all the way over.
"I think it cut deep." He said, looking back at his Mark. "It won't stop bleeding."
Holly was in thought.
"We have a choice to make lads." He said at last. "We can stay or we can run."
Before any more could be said, Charlock appeared at the top of the ruined stone fence.
"Alright listen up Mark." He scowled. "I want you to meet… Blackavar."
On que, Blackavar was thrown forward and Prodded along by a Guard across the field.
"Look hard at this Wretch. Said Charlock with a scowl. "And remember him when you think of Daring to defy General Woundwort, Remember him when you think of Running away or leaving this warren."
As Blackavar was shoved along, Holly knew what to do. "Right I think that settles." that. He said. "We're leaving."
"Not with Charlock and the Mark captain watching." Said Bluebell. "What do we do with them."
The Mark captain, Captain Bugloss, seemed a simple fellow, Tired of his Duties, It gave Holly an Idea.
"Wait here." He said and Hopped over to Bigloss.
"Ey?" Asked Bugloss, When Holly came over. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Your Captain Bugloss yes?" Asked Holly.
"Yes." Said Bugloss. "Now what do you want?"
"I've been sent by the Council sir, They wish for a word with you."
"I don't recognize you as a messenger of the Council." Said Bugloss.
"I'm not here to answer questions, Just deliver the message." Said Holly. "I shouldn't keep them waiting if I were you."
Bugloss looked nervously at Charlock who was looking elsewhere than back at Holly. "Alright, I suppose I can leave for a few minutes, If the council wills it." And he scuttled off.
Holly hurried back to Bluebell and Fiver. "Right he's gone, Lets go and don't look back."
They quietly crawled out of the Mark bounds just as Charlock was done talking to a guard and spotted them.
"You there!" He Cried.
Everyone in the Mark looked suddenly, Especially Hyzenthlay, Holly Fiver and Bluebell quickly ran off!
"Stop!" Charlock called as Three other Rabbits joined him.
Holly, Fiver and Bluebell raced across fields as Charlock and his Rabbits pursued them like Dogs, They fled down a dry creek and jumped back up to the top ground again as soon as they reached a closed drain pipe, They then climbed up a Hill.
"Agh!" My leg." Cried Fiver. "Holly I don't think I can run fast enough!"
"We're nearly there Fiver!" Said Holly. "We're nearly-!"
When they got to the Hill they stopped and Looked helplessly out into the long plains of field.
"There's not end to this Place." Said Bluebell.
Suddenly Charlock sidled up behind them, "You rabbits have made a very grave Error." He said Maliciously, But before he could attack, A grey Streak came up from behind and pinned him down.
"Hyzenthlay!" The rabbits gasped.
"Go! I'll hold them off!" She called, And the three rabbits ran off, Charlock managed to overpower Hyzenthlay and pinned her down. "Alarm! Alarm!" He called, then looked to the Three Rabbits that followed him. "Well?" He asked, agitated. "What are you scum waiting for! Get after them! Chase them down!" He snarled as the three Rabbits went ahead of him, He then looked down at Hyzenthlay. "Enjoy this last moment Hyzenthlay." He sneered. "This is the last moment you are ever going to Stand beneath the Stars." He then cuffed Her unconcious and ran off to join his Rabbits.
Holly, Fiver and Bluebell hurried across the land as fast as they could, The Efrafans were doggedly pursuing them, with Charlock leading the way.
"I can't Holly." Panted Fiver as he Started to lag behind. "Leave me."
"Just keep going!" Said Holly. "Just keep looking ahead!"
They ran towards a Hill and began Climbing up the Ballast.
"Run!" Charlock barked. "Faster you swine!"
Holly, Fiver and Bluebell began running up the Hill.
"Tear them to pieces!" Snarled Charlock.
Just as the Rabbits made it up the Hill, Fiver began to slip back down on the Ballast.
"Fiver!" Cried Holly as he rushed back to help, Charlock came up and nearly punched on Fiver, But Holly managed to slash him across the face and pushed Fiver back up the Hill. "Keep moving Forward!" Holly said as they kicked Stones back at the Efrafans. "Keep moving Forward!"
They reached the Top of the Hill, But Charlock caught up to Fiver and Pinned him down, Holly and Bluebell hurried back and tried to fight Charlock off, Suddenly a Puffing noise could be heard and a Light shone through the Night.
"Holly! Bluebell!" Cried Fiver. "Don't look into the Light, you'll go tharn!"
A train whistle could be heard just as Fiver managed to Kick Charlock off him and Ran, Charlocks last screams were drowned out by another whistle and a Crunching sound as Holly, Fiver and Bluebell tumbled down the Hill, When they got up, They saw the train speeding away with it's goods train.
"Thanks guys." Said Fiver. "I would have been a goner back there."
"I think I much preferred it when I was a liability." Rapeseed Bluebell. "What was that thing?"
"I don't know." Said Holly. "I think Frith has decided it's not our time to stop running yet, Must have been one of his great messengers."
Suddenly FIver began to shiver and moan he fell to the ground and Skook all over.
"Fiver?" Asked Holly. "What is it?"
When Fiver opened his eyes he had a panicked look in them.
"HAZEL!"
