To those who followed and faved this story I thank you and for those wondering Skarlet will take after her appearance in MK11 since that is the best look she had compared to her in MK9. For anyone who might complain Skarlet is WAY out of character I'm just giving her a personality since she is starting out young here and we don't know how she was when she was starving on the streets of Outworld so I am just giving it to her for the story's sake and to answer the important question will there be any other MK characters? No, it's just Skarlet based off her MK11 appearance.

Chapter 2: Questions

-Konoha General Hospital-

''My name...is Skarlet.''

Naruto was caught off guard by the girl's name as he had never heard it before but needless to say he found it quite a nice name since it matched her appearance perfectly and the name made him assume she wasn't from the Land of Fire so she was definitely a foreigner.

''Oh that's a cool name! Where are you from? Are you from Iwa since you were wearing red?''

Skarlet winced hearing the question and it reminded her of the abusive village she grew up in when she was in blood country. However, she felt that it was wrong to hide the truth from the blonde beside her so she settled on telling him the truth.

''I...I am not from Iwa or any of the other great nations.'' Skarlet replied.

''Oh really? So you're from somewhere like Kusa or Ame?''

A moment of silence filled the air before Skarlet replied to the blonde's question. Blood country was relatively irrelevant in world affairs and wasn't too well known to the great nations but still she wasn't the type to lie at all.

''Well, I'm actually not from any of those countries. Let's just say I'm from a place that is very far away." Skarlet said.

"Very far away? So you're not even from Yuki or Tetsu? Those two are pretty far away."

Skarlet shook her head.

''Not exactly...you see...I am from a really small village in a really small country. The closest of the great nations is Iwa...it is called blood country.''

This was a surprise to Naruto because he had never heard of blood country before. I knew of the smaller nations like Ame, Kusa, Hoshi and Nami and Yumi but Chi No Kuni? What the heck is a Chi No Kuni?

''Huh? Chi? I never heard of it. I would bet all the ramen in the world you were from Iwa since red is the color of their outfits.'' said the blonde.

Skarlet wasn't surprised to know that Naruto had never heard of her country since it was the smallest village with the smallest amount of territory in terms of square miles with relatively mediocre ninja with no specialization in an element with a relatively poor economy and quality of life. So there was a huge chance Naruto had no idea her kekkei genkai would even be a thing since she is basically the only one to ever have that hellish blood release.

''It does not surprise me you have never heard of my country.'' Skarlet said stoically.

''Yeah yeah never heard of it or whatever but if it's really that far then why are you in my country? Are you lost or something?" questioned the blonde.

Skarlet took a moment to think of the words Naruto was saying because yes, she was lost in a sense. She just wants to have a purpose in her life but ever since she was born she was abused, hurt and lied to which left a huge mental scar on her. Once again she closed her eyes and used her blood sensory abilities to read Naruto and after taking a minute to read him like before she did not sense one bit of hostility coming from him.

Naruto tilted his head in confusion at the girl wondering what she was doing with her eyes closed and the slow, steady breathing she was doing.

''You alright?''

The sound of his voice caused her to open her eyes and she slowly turned her head to look at the blonde teen.

''Yes, I'm fine I just needed to think about something.''

''Gotcha! I kinda thought something was wrong but anyway, what are you doing all the way here in Konoha?''

Before Skarlet could answer the door to her room opened and in walked three figures. One was a tall man who she recognized as the Jonin who questioned her and the other was the black haired kid Naruto was with Sasuke. The other was a very beautiful woman with blonde hair and a rather huge chest.

''Ah, I see our guest is finally awake.'' the blonde woman said.

''Yeah she is granny. I was just making small talk with her to make her feel comfortable. I mean who likes to be in a hospital room?'' Naruto joked.

''You do.'' Sasuke chuckled.

Tsunade, Kakashi and Sasuke walked over to stand beside the seated Naruto and began to introduce themselves to Skarlet.

''I hope my blonde student here wasn't being too loud with you. If he was I apologize on his behalf Naruto tends to be that way. Anyway I hope you are feeling better after collapsing like that. I'm Kakashi Hatake, Naruto's sensei. Sorry for questioning you like that when you found us it's just a habit when I see foreigners within our borders.'' said the Jonin, not looking up from his book.

''Oh, that is okay. I understand.'' Skarlet said with a slight bow of respect for the higher ranked ninja, ''I am pleased to meet you.''

''Likewise.'' Kakashi said with a slight nod, still reading his book.

Skarlet then looked at Sasuke who began to introduce himself.

''Hey, Sasuke Uchiha. I'm teammates with this blonde moron here but I guess he's my blonde moron, a pleasure.''

''I can already sense the difference in personality between the two of them. Their personalities are like fire and ice.'' Skarlet thought before nodding at Sasuke.

She then looked at the final person being the blonde haired woman with the massive chest and she began to introduce herself.

''Hope you're feeling much better because you were really messed up when they brought you here. I'm Tsunade, the Konoha's fifth Hokage.''

Immediately upon hearing that she was in the presence of a Kage Skarlet bowed her head down in respect.

''Lady Hokage graces me with her presence?'' Skarlet questioned in confusion.

Tsunade couldn't help but giggle at how silly Skarlet looked bowing while she was sitting on her hospital bed. She was one to dislike formalities so she waved off the bow.

''No need to be formal dear I don't mind if you just call me Tsunade-sama. So anyway what is your name if you don't mind me asking?''

Skarlet was taken by surprised at how laid back and relaxed the Hokage was because when she was teaching herself about village heads back in Blood country she learned about the Kage of each great nation so she just assumed they all were very strict and uptight much like herself. If it was okay with the Hokage then she saw no reason to question it so she'll go with the flow.

''Oh I understand and my name is Skarlet...just Skarlet.''

Kakashi, Sasuke and Tsunade did not expect a name like that and they had a feeling she was from a different country but a name like that was even heard of among not only the great villages, but the smaller ones too so this was quite a surprise but needless to say Tsunade thought it was a beautiful name for a beautiful young lady.

''Skarlet huh? That's really different than what we're used to in Konoha much less the other great nations.'' Kakashi commented.

''I also noticed your clothing when we found you. Love the red huh?'' Sasuke asked jokingly, ''I almost assumed you were from Iwa.''

''It's an awesome name it fits you!'' Naruto chimed.

''I made that assumption too but your name says otherwise. Which village are you from?'' Tsunade questioned.

Skarlet really hated her home village and she really did not want to be associated with that place whatsoever but what reason would she have for lying about her home village to the Hokage? Telling the truth was always the way to go and they either heard about her country before in the history books or did not know it existed.

''I do not know if any of you have heard of it, but I am from the Land of Blood.'' declared the red-haired girl shyly.

Skarlet looked at everyone and saw that Kakashi, Sasuke and Tsunade were all staring at her with blank expressions that soon turned into what looked like shock and awe and she was hoping they wouldn't judge her for coming from that place.

''Oh no they are judging me like everyone else...''

''You're from the Land of Blood?'' Tsunade questioned incredulously.

''I've heard about that place and how unpleasant it is over there. Lots of people getting murdered every day.'' Sasuke thought.

''You came from a place that far away? That's way past Iwa's borders. What are you doing all the way here in Konoha?'' Kakashi asked.

''Hey I was gonna ask that question!'' Naruto shouted. The booming sound of his voice caused Skarlet to flinch and cover her ears in pain since she still had a bad headache and her reaction wasn't unnoticed by the blonde, ''Oh sorry about that Skarlet.''

''Ugh, no need to apologize Naruto and yes, I am from Chi No Kuni.''

''What are you doing all the way here in Konoha?'' Kakashi asked repeating his question.

She really did not want to remember the events and her life when she live in blood country but there was a reason why she ran off and did not stop for a whole week but since they wanted an answer she will give them one.

''Do you all really want to know?'' she asked earning a nod from everyone.

''Of course it's strange you're all the way out this way let alone hurt and tired when we found you in the forest.'' Naruto commented.

She sighed as she had to think back to the week before and remembering such unpleasant memories she had a feeling that if she were to feel such strong emotions it would cause her lose control of her blood release. So she took in a deep breath and felt a bit more calm before explaining why she was even in Konoha in the first place.

''I am a stranger in your village yet you all have done nothing but treat me fairly so I will tell you. Right before I came here I was being picked on by the other students in class and...I ended up killing all of them.''

Everyone else's face softened hearing that and put two and two together as to why she was their country.

''What happened after that?'' Tsunade asked already knowing the answer.

Skarlet took in another deep breath before continuing her story.

''After that I ran through the village and word got out quick that I had murdered some of my classmates so a mob was assembled to kill me then...''

Skarlet took a pause as she was visualizing the blood bath she caused when she absolutely decimated the crowd on accident with her blood release and she soon felt the fear fill her body and could feel herself losing control of her emotional state. Not wanting to repeat that mess she quickly dismissed all these negative and powerful emotions before she accidentally kills Naruto and the others. She took in a long, deep breath and exhaled before speaking.

''I ended up killing those people too and after that I ran. I ran past the border into Hoshi, then went through Iwa, Kusa and Ame before I ended up in the forests outside of your village. That's when I was found by Naruto and his team.'' Skarlet concluded in a soft voice.

''What about your parents? Wouldn't they be worried about you?'' Tsunade asked to which Skarlet shook her head no.

''I was an orphan ever since I was born. Apparently my father was a drunkard and was killed in a bar fight while my mother died during childbirth. Ever since then I've been living on my own. I was abused, insulted, treated like rubbish and I had to forage for my clothing and stole all the food I ate.''

Naruto frowned slightly hearing that story and could see that he and Skarlet already had two things in common. Being bullied and picked on by the villagers and other children and both growing up orphans and basically having nobody. In Naruto's case he did have Sasuke growing up since Sasuke's mother was good friends with his parents as well as Tsunade ensuring no harm would come to Naruto as he grew up and although he thought it was dumb to compare the big difference between him and her was she had absolutely no one.

"Dang that's really tough Skarlet, sorry to hear that." Naruto said sympathetically.

"Well damn, sorry you had to go through that." Sasuke seconded.

"I don't think any of us could blame you for running away like that. Pretty sure we'd all do the same." Kakashi added, a sympathetic tone present in his voice.

''You poor thing it must have been really hard for you.'' Tsunade said, ''Children going through what you did always turn out for the worst later in life but we're glad you managed to escape. Is there any reason you ended up in our country?''

Skarlet shook her head in response.

''During my free time I read that Konohagakure is the most friendly toward foreigners while Iwa was the least. I figured that maybe if I came here I could possibly be accepted and seen as a person and not some witch.''

''What happened that caused the people of Chi No Kuni to treat you that way?'' Tsunade asked curiously.

Skarlet really did not want to answer that question because she was afraid if she revealed that she had the blood release kekkei genkai she would be ostracized here in Konoha like she was in Chi No Kuni. However, she thought it would still be better to give a good enough reason to why she was treated so bad by the villagers than lie completely.

''Let's just say I'm one of a kind.'' Skarlet replied uncomfortably.

Tsunade and Kakashi caught the saddened tone in her voice and they immediately knew that she was very uncomfortable answering the question with complete honesty but for the Hokage it was good enough for her since she could see the truth in them. There were plenty of ninja with special abilities that were ostracized by their village so they were under the assumption that Skarlet's case was the same. Naruto was hurt by the villagers in his younger years and when she took over as Hokage after Hiruzen Sarutobi stepped down she made sure he was safe from harm.

''One of a kind? Could it be she has some kekkei genkai?'' Kakashi thought.

''The Yuki clan from Kiri was under threat with their Ice release so I'm sure Skarlet's case is the same. I won't pressure the girl into telling us what her abilities are until she is comfortable if she has any at all.'' Tsunade pondered.

''That sounds an awful lot like someone I know.'' Sasuke said looking at Naruto.

''One of a kind? So you have some special powers or something?'' Naruto questioned.

Skarlet looked away from her company and out the nearest window and saw that it was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Konoha and she thought it was a beautiful view.

''Yes, something like that.''

Tsunade looked to Kakashi and the two older ninja nodded to each other. While Kakashi was a bit cautious of the girl when she appeared from the bushes he did not have a problem with the girl and felt her pain since his father committed suicide when he was a boy. The girl really looked like she was just done with the abuse she faced back in Chi and Kakashi saw no reason to send her on her way when she recovers because where can she go? She can't keep running away forever.

In Tsunade's mind she did not want to send Skarlet back into the world after hearing her story so the Hokage decided that since she has no home anymore maybe she can give the girl a second chance at life and a better environment to grow up in by letting her stay in Konoha. Naruto and Sasuke were thinking the same thing because in their case they wanted to commit suicide. In Naruto's case he never knew his parents and was beaten up by the villagers before Tsunade stepped in and for Sasuke when his brother Itachi killed of their entire clan he wanted to die to be with his mother and father but Naruto was there to help him cope with the pain which was the reason he was still around today. If Skarlet had such a troubled life up to this point the two Genin saw no reason to not welcome her into their village with opens arms and Sasuke felt he and the girl could get along and become allies.

''You three wait here a few minutes okay? I need to discuss something with Kakashi real quick.''

Taking Kakashi by the arm she leads the Jonin away from the younger ninja in the room and head out into the hallway leaving the three of them confused. Now that they were in the hallway Kakashi freed himself from Tsunade's intense grip and patted his vest back into a uniform appearance.

''This is quite sudden. So what did you want to talk about?'' Kakashi asked.

''She is from a village whose ninja are relatively weak and not worth anyone's time. I was reading her body language the entire time and I can sense a great deal of talent from her and I've been sensing her chakra throughout the conversation and I can tell she's telling the truth. From what I've been getting her chakra is incredibly powerful but it is a bit unstable. I noticed when she was feeling uncomfortable thinking about Chi I felt her chakra intensify but the moment she calmed down her chakra calmed down as well.'' Tsunade replied.

Kakashi had a feeling where the Hokage was going with this.

''Are you suggesting we give her an assessment or a knowledge check and have me help her increase her chakra control? You're saying it's an emotional thing like with Naruto and the...you know.''

Tsunade nodded and Kakashi made an 'O' face in response.

''That's right and another thing is your boys have been wanting to go on a C-rank mission since you guys started right? I mean look at what happened to Sakura her incompetence got her discharged from service and now you guys are one person short from being a real team. Think about it Skarlet seems like a very intelligent girl and someone like that would be incredibly valuable on your team. Seriously her chakra is really strong I mean, I'm not saying Naruto and Sasuke aren't smart...well maybe Naruto is a bit idiotic at times but think about it Kakashi. I can run the necessary knowledge check with her and we'll see how well she does. If she scores high she will no doubt be enlisted as a kunoichi for the village. She has no home to go to and with chakra this powerful we could have someone like her around. Who knows what potential she has if she can keep her chakra under control she could potentially be one of Konoha's most powerful kunoichi.''

''You do got a point there Lady Tsunade though I would feel that Naruto and Sasuke should have a say in this before we do this.'' Kakashi suggested.

''I understand Kakashi but don't worry I'm getting a real good vibe from her. From what she's told us she and the gaki have quite a few things in common and stuff like that brings people together so there's no doubt they'd become good friends and when you have three Genin that are good friends it makes for good teamwork and teamwork makes the dreamwork.'' Tsunade inquired.

''Yeah that's true. Alright, let's head back in and tell her.''

The two older ninja then opened the door and went back into the room to see three pairs of eyes staring at them. Ignoring the stares Kakashi and Tsunade walked over to Skarlet's bed and Tsunade cleared her throat before she told the crimson haired girl of her proposal.

''Say, Skarlet.''

Hearing her name being called and recognizing that it was the Hokage calling her she looked at the blonde woman with a look of uncertainty and saw that she had a warm look in her eyes.

''Yes Lady Hokage?''

''Chi No Kuni has ninja but from what I read in the history books they have no specialty in any of the elements right and obviously your loyalty isn't with them anymore correct?'' Tsunade asked earning a nod from the girl, ''Since you have no where to go I would like to ask would you be interested in being a kunoichi for Konohagakure no Sato? If you are I can make that happen.''

Skarlet went wide eyed at the offer as this was the first time in her young life that she was offered something generous instead of being offered abuse. Is the Hokage being serious with her offer? Would she really be welcomed to become a kunoichi for a real village with competent ninja and good people?

''A-are you serious Tsunade-sama?'' the girl questioned incredulously.

''Of course. I can sense a great deal of talent from you and considering how you grew up I think I can offer you a much better home and I can and am interested in having a talented young lady like you be of service to this village because I don't want to send you back out there with no place to go. That's just not how we work in Konoha because anyone who wishes to live here will be able to do so with my permission and assuming they aren't a threat which I see that you are not.'' continued the Hokage.

A big smile formed on Naruto's face as he thought about asking Tsunade if Skarlet can live in the village and to know that the toads of Mt. Myoboku answered his prayers he was almost giddy from the excitement. He already had a feeling deep down that he and the girl could become good friends due to their similar past. In Sasuke's case he had an eyebrow raised at this proposal and felt like it if she became a kunoichi for Konoha and put on their team it would provide a great opportunity for him, Kakashi and Naruto to know her much better so personally he didn't have a problem with it because if they can get another member for the team they can go on much more advanced missions so he had no complaints.

Skarlet on the other hand had a wide-eyed expression plastering her face as she did not know how to take the information being given to her. Back in Chi No Kuni all proposals given to her ended up with her being hurt both physically and mentally and she did not doubt these Konoha ninja at all since she was sensing their blood the entire time she sensed they were all being truthful with her which was something she was not used to. Positivity, honesty and bring upfront was something so alien to her and all she knew growing up with negativity, pain, abuse and ostracism but not once did she sense an ounce of deception in their blood. All she wanted was to be accepted and seen as a person and not wanting to take any chances she decided that it would be in her best interests to accept the Hokage's proposal because to her something like this comes once in a life time.

''I-It's just so much to take in right now Tsunade-sama.'' Skarlet said apprehensively.

''Why's that dear?''

''Like I said before I only knew abuse, pain and negativity growing up and such positive energy from you all is just so strange and alien to me I don't know how to take it.'' explained the girl.

Tsunade's face softened hearing that and she couldn't blame the girl one bit.

''I understand dear but I do mean what I say.''

''That's right Skarlet the Hokage is being one-hundred percent serious.'' Kakashi chimed.

''Yeah baa-chan never says stuff like that unless she senses good in you!'' Naruto exclaimed.

''I back up what she says too. Having the Hokage asking if you want to join Konoha sounds like a pretty good idea in my opinion.'' Sasuke said.

The overwhelming positive energy coming from the four of them was making her feel a bit scared since she just wasn't use to it. She closed her eyes and once more used her blood sensory abilities and took a few seconds to read them and saw that they were only giving off positive and friendly energy. She has been treated fairly so far by these strangers and while that was scary to her she did feel a brand new emotion within her that she could only describe as happiness.

''All I ever wanted was to be treated fairly and respected and you all have done nothing but give me that.'' Skarlet said, her voice a bit shaky.

Tsunade could tell it would take a little bit for Skarlet to accept the proposal so she decided it would be best to let the girl rest up and recover for a few more days before coming back for her answer.

''There's no pressure in saying yes dear. Would you like for me to give you a few days to think about it?'' said the Hokage.

Skarlet nodded.

''Yes, I just need a little bit of time to make my decision.''

In reality she wanted to see how they would treat her within the next few days and if they continue the fair and kind treatment then her answer would be yes.

''Alright dear I'll give you a few days.'' Tsunade said before motioning for everyone to leave the room with her.

Seeing the physical gesture Kakashi looked at his students and beckoned them over to leave the room as well.

''Okay you two let's leave Skarlet to rest up. Come on we have to go report in for the mail delivery mission we did earlier.''

Sasuke rolled his eyes and walked toward the silver-haired Jonin while Naruto had an annoyed look on his face.

''Whaaaa I want to stay and talk with Skarlet. You guys can do that without me you've done it plenty of times before!''

Kakashi did not want to hear this as they actually had more important things to discuss with the Hokage he casually walked over to the blonde and held a hand over his mouth and dragged him toward the door much to the amusement of Skarlet. Was he always this loud?

''Don't mind this babbling blonde Skarlet. Anyway rest up and we can't wait to hear your decision.'' Kakashi chuckled before heading out the door with the blonde in his grasp.

''See you later.'' Sasuke said with a wave before exiting the room.

That left Tsunade alone with the girl and just as Skarlet bowed her farewell to the Hokage Tsunade simply waved it off much like she did before.

''Dear you really don't have to be formal with me you can just call me Tsunade-sama. I await your answer in a few days.''

Tsunade then closed the door gently leaving the girl alone and lost in her own thoughts and the only sounds that were heard was the ceiling fan spinning and the sounds of the village during the early afternoon. She looked out the window again and from the parts of the village she could see it seemed very lively and warm compared to the miserable and dreadful atmosphere of her old village. She could hear children laughing and adults chatting happily with each other which was such a drastic difference from blood village. She thought the positive emotions from the four was alien? The positive sounds she was hearing from her window were just as overwhelming is not more so than how Naruto and company treated her earlier because usually back in that terrible village someone was being murdered twice a day and it was only called that because of the constant blood being spilled from murders and daily deaths that plagued the village.

''Is the Hokage being honest with me? I believe so because I haven't sensed any hostile or negative emotion from them. Maybe Konoha can be my new home and I will finally be accepted.''

-Hokage's Office-

Shizune Kato, one of Konoha's best medical kunoichi and Tsunade's personal assistant was seen arranging the daily paperwork for the busty Hokage when suddenly the door busted open and in walked her mentor and idol.

''Oh there you are Lady Tsunade! I've arranged the daily paperwork how you like it...''

''Give me a second Shizune.'' the Hokage said cutting off her assistant.

Tsunade made her way over to the desk and Shizune simply watched as she took a seat behind the desk and right after she does that Shizune saw Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke walking in with Kakashi closing the door.

''What's going on?'' Shizune questioned in confusion.

Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke walked over to the desk and Tsunade motioned for Kakashi to explain what they discussed earlier in the hallways of the hospital.

''Okay, Naruto, Sasuke me and the Hokage have something important to talk to you about so please pay attention to what we have to say alright?''

Naruto and Sasuke were a bit confused with the situation since from what they recall the only reason they came to the Hokage's office after each mission was to report it complete and receive their pay and since their last one wasn't brought up immediately they knew something was up.

''What is it?'' Naruto asked.

''Aren't we supposed to report the mission complete?'' Sasuke seconded.

Tsunade whispered something into Shizune's ear and complying the assistant went to a cabinet and grabbed a paper from it and hands it over to the Hokage who looks it over before speaking.

''You two remember when we were talking to Skarlet me and Kakashi went into the hallway for a few minutes?'' Tsunade asked earning nods from the two Genin, ''Well we were discussing how you two don't have a third teammate and since you don't you aren't able to go on any missions above a D-rank and while we both agreed to this we want to know what you two think.''

''Skarlet? Is that the injured girl they found out in the forest a few days ago? What a strange name.'' Shizune thought.

''Yeah, but what does this have to do with the mission we completed?'' asked a confused Sasuke.

''C'mon granny get to the point!'' said an impatient Naruto.

''Ugh alright I'm sure Naruto would agree anyway but we were talking about giving Skarlet a knowledge check and if she passes I'll put her in the roster as a kunoichi for the village and I can place her on your team. If that happens you guys are finally a full team and qualified to go on higher ranked missions. How's that sound?'' said Tsunade.

Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other and while the latter had his usual blank look the former had a smile form on his face.

''No more stupid chores?'' both boys said in unison.

''Remember it's not just a knowledge check Lady Tsunade will have to do guys she has to do some psychological evaluations as well. Remember what she said when she was growing up in blood village? We'd have to see if she doesn't have any lasting emotional and psychological effects from that too which could disqualify her from being a kunoichi.'' Kakashi added.

''Oh yeah that's true. Look at what happened with Sakura her mind was too focused on Sasuke she failed her psych eval so bad.'' Naruto said rolling his eyes.

''I'm sure Skarlet would do fine in my opinion. She may have dealt with that trauma but I can say she's like us and has become toughened by it.'' Sasuke said.

''Trauma? What kind of trauma? Where is she from?'' Shizune questioned in confusion, ''I'm totally lost here.''

''Skarlet is from a village in a country very far away from here and ran away to escape abuse and neglect.'' answered the Hokage.

Shizune's heart sank hearing that and it only reminded her of how Naruto grew up when he was younger so it all made sense to her how they even encountered the girl in the forest.

''Oh, I see. It makes sense to me now but if she came from somewhere that far it must have been really bad and that explains why her name is so foreign sounding. I kinda like it actually.''

''I agree she has a very lovely name.'' Tsunade seconded, ''I told her I wanted her to be part of our village and gave her a few days to make her decision.''

Naruto was excited because it would give him a better chance of knowing Skarlet better and would add more company whenever they had downtime as a team. Not that Sasuke was boring but it was lame hanging out and looking at the same face every other day so he needed something new.

''I don't think we should say if, I think she'll do well on the knowledge check.'' the blonde quipped.

''Confident are we? We'll see Naruto.'' Tsunade said.

''So Naruto, Sasuke what do you guys think? When Skarlet passes would you accept her into the team?'' Kakashi questioned with a serious tone, ''If the Hokage believes she is a talented young lady then I trust and believe her words.''

''Sure if the Hokage says that I trust in her words as well. Skarlet doesn't seem like a bad person and all of us being orphans could make the team bond strong and a team with a strong bond would be very effective and we'd be able to work together properly.'' Sasuke said with a nod.

Kakashi then looked at Naruto.

''What do you say Naruto?''

''Of course! You don't need to convince me.'' Naruto quipped.

Tsunade smiled at Naruto's enthusiasm and with a nod picked up the paper Shizune gave to her earlier and looked at it and the words at the top confirmed what the paper was meant for.

It read ''Ninja Registration Form'' on the top.

''In a few days Shizune I want you to check up on her and hand her the form. I'm sure her answer will be yes.''

''I understand Lady Tsunade.'' Shizune said with a bow.

''Awesome! Can't wait til she joins Team 7!'' Naruto exclaimed excitedly.

''When that happens we'll be done with those pathetic chores.'' Sasuke said with a smirk.

''You're awfully excited Naruto settle down now.'' Kakashi chuckled.

With the current topic out of the way Tsunade then ushered for Naruto to settle down as well so they can finally conduct official business..that business being the boring and simple mission of delivering mail and some packages for the fire daimyo.

''Okay guys...now back to business...firstly I need to find a way to stop the fire daimyo's mail from showing up in my mailbox...''

-Konoha General Hospital, several days later-

It was a bright and early morning and most of the patients currently in the hospital were either asleep or awake. Very few were awake actually and one of them was none other than Skarlet herself. A few minutes ago she was given breakfast by one of the staff and was treated to scrambled eggs, orange juice and some pancakes which was easily the best breakfast she had since she ate bugs while surviving in the wilderness for a week. After finishing her breakfast she looked at her dagger on her left side and reached for it and took the blade out of it's sheath and examined it. No one told her where it came from but for as long as she could remember it was by her side as she grew up and not once did she harm another human being with it.

The steel on it had a very nice shine to it and the blood red elongated 'u' shape on the blade itself looked very nice to her and she wondered maybe it belonged to her mother. She then took the blade and proceeded to feel the metal of the blade and was always entranced by how smooth the steel was. A second later she accidentally cut herself on the thumb where it drew a small amount of blood and while the pain caused her discomfort she had an idea pop in her head.

She looked at the blade and her bleeding thumb and with her free hand she performed a one handed tiger seal and focusing her chakra into the blood seeping out of the cut she was shocked when she saw the blood slowly make its way onto her dagger and soon the dagger became a longsword made solely of blood. She was beyond the definition of the word shock as she did not expect this to happen since she never really took the time to control her blood release but one question had her thinking. Did she end up killing all those people because she experienced strong, negative emotions?

She took a few swings with the blood longsword and saw that the blood held strong like the metal of a real sword.

She took a few more practice swings with it until she heard footsteps approach her door and she deactivated the jutsu and the blood that surrounded her dagger began to seep back into her wound and she quickly placed the dagger back onto the side table just as the door opened and it was revealed to be Shizune the Hokage's assistant.

''Hey how are you feeling?'' Shizune questioned.

Skarlet looked at her thumb and saw that the wound was still bleeding.

''Oh hello..I accidentally hurt myself but I'm fine.''

The girl showed her bleeding thumb to Shizune to prove that she 'hurt' herself on accident and nodding Shizune walked over and took out a bandage from a medical kit she was carrying and before she applied the adhesive she took a small alcohol wipe and cleaned the wound. The stinging pain made Skarlet flinch and a second later Shizune wrapped the bandage around her thumb.

''There, all done.''

Skarlet looked at the bandage and gave Shizune a small and barely noticeable smile.

''Thank you. If I may ask who are you?''

''I'm the Hokage's assistant and the one you treated you when Naruto and his team when they brought you.'' Shizune answered with a smile.

''Oh um, thank you again.'' Skarlet said with a slight bow.

Shizune smiled at the amount of respect the girl had even though she herself was just a Jonin so the bowing was really unnecessary in her opinion.

''No need to bow I'm just happy to help. So anyway Skarlet, I was told by the Hokage about her proposal for you to become a kunoichi for the village and today was the day she wanted to know your answer. Have you taken the time to make your decision yet?''

Skarlet looked at her dagger before looking down onto her lap and closed her eyes to sense Shizune's blood and much like the others she sensed positive energy. Opening her eyes she had a new look of fire in her eyes and understood that what she was being offered would give her a much better life and the chance to be treated equally not only as a human being, but as a respectable kunoichi of the most powerful village among the great nations.

''Yes, nothing would quicken my pulse more than to be of service to Konoha and a Hokage as kind as Tsunade-sama.'' Skarlet replied with newfound confidence.

Shizune had a big smile on her face and nodded. She then reached into her pouch for a pen and the registration form Tsunade instructed to give to the girl and handed it to her.

''If that is the case then fill out this form and I will give it to Tsunade-sama.''

Skarlet took the form and pen and placed it on her tray to use as a table and looked over the form and saw that it required her to fill it out with basic information about herself. Taking the pen she then jot down her name at the top

Skarlet Ketsueki.
