Chapter 5: An Assignment
-Hokage's Office-
''Come in.'' Tsunade instructed.
The door to her office opens and in walks Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke and Skarlet and the four of them made their way toward her desk and stood in front of it and the boys had huge smiles on their faces.
''Yo Lady Tsunade, we're here for our first mission as a full team.'' Kakashi greeted with a wave.
''Give us a good mission baa-chan I'm dying for something exciting!'' Naruto quipped.
''Oh good morning team seven. What's with the big smile Naruto? Sasuke?'' Tsunade asked upon noticing their facial expressions.
''Well, we have a third member on our team that isn't insane and is actually normal.'' Sasuke answered.
''Oh yes that's right Sakura is locked up for life in the psych ward. I did not want to send you guys on a mission with someone like that because her mental state and uselessness would've gotten you boys killed.'' Tsunade joked before looking at Skarlet, ''Good morning Skarlet dear how are you feeling today?''
''Good morning Tsunade-sama, I am feeling good compared to when I was on the run from my village. It feels good that I am beginning to be a part of something so thank you for this opportunity.'' Skarlet said with a smile.
''I'm glad to hear that. So how did she do in the spar Kakashi?''
''She did really well and if I were to be honest she did WAY better than both Naruto and Sasuke when Sakura was on the team. I was thinking of having her work with the boys to see if they can already work well in a team but decided to go at her one on one and she exceeded my expectations.'' Kakashi explained.
''Yeah she was pretty scrappy against sensei.'' Sasuke added.
''She is also really fast too that she caught Kakashi-sensei off guard at the start.'' Naruto said.
''True true, anyway Lady Tsunade you said you had a mission that might be of interest for us?'' Kakashi asked.
Tsunade then began to rummage through some papers on her desk before picking up a scroll.
''Oh right ahem.'' she then unrolls the scroll and begins reading the contents of it, ''As you know Kakashi the ANBU have noted that at our border with Kumo and Oto there have been suspicious activity going on and our guys have spotted what they believe to be Oto and Kumo ninja wondering toward our country together as a group. As you know I've been wanting to at least have normal relations with the Hidden Cloud since the last war but the fact that their ninja are seen with Sound ninja makes me suspicious about them.'' Tsunade said.
''Kumo and Oto ninja near our border? From my experience that usually means they are probably conducting reconnaissance and trying to find a weak spot in our border patrol.'' Kakashi inquired.
''I'm thinking the same thing. Now, the mission is an upper C-rank one and you will be sent toward the border where they were last seen. Should you confront any Oto or Kumo ninja I want you to question them on their intentions and expect combat with them.''
Kakashi then turned to face his students, ''Well you three what do you think of this as our first mission as a team? You guys think you can handle coming into contact with foreign ninja?''
''Isn't that dangerous Kakashi-sensei? I mean what if we get into a fight with them? I mean, I'm not scared or anything but wouldn't that be an international incident if we clash?'' Naruto questioned curiously.
''He's got a point we're not on the best terms with Kumo and we don't know what the Oto ninja are capable of with their sound techniques.'' Sasuke inquired.
''Wait how do you know ninja from Oto use sound based jutsu when either you nor I met anyone from there?'' Naruto questioned curiously.
Skarlet and Sasuke looked at their blonde teammate like he was the biggest idiot in the world while Kakashi and Tsunade just rubbed their foreheads like they had headaches and this did not go unnoticed by Naruto. He looked at each and every one of them and noticing the reactions they had from him asking the question earlier made him sweatdrop.
''What? Why are you guys looking at me like that?''
Skarlet would be the one to speak.
''Did...did you really just ask Sasuke how he knows that ninja from the land of SOUND can use SOUND jutsu? It could not be anymore obvious on what jutsu they utilize?''
''I don't get your question Skarlet, what's wrong with asking Sasuke how he knew they use sound jutsu?'' Naruto replied.
Kakashi and Tsunade decided to let the young girl scold the blonde and simply kept their mouths shut just so they can watch the hilarious exchange they knew was coming.
''What kind of jutsu do ninja from the land of WIND use Naruto?'' Skarlet questioned.
''Well they use wind release jutsus duh.''
''How do you know that? Have you ever met a ninja from Sunagakure?''
''Uh, no. I just assume they know wind because they are from the land of wind.''
''If that's the case then you should have assumed ninja from the land of SOUND use SOUND jutsu.'' concluded the girl.
''I can't just assume that without fighting someone from there first.''
''That is not the point.'' Skarlet knew that explaining something to Naruto before he understood it was futile so she relented. ''You know what, never mind.''
''Okay let me end this, Naruto sound jutsu do exist but it's rare compared to say fire. Are we done now?'' asked the amused Kakashi.
Seeing his students were done talking he turned to face Tsunade and motioned for her to continue.
''Anyway, as I was saying the ANBU have spotted ninja from both Oto and Kumo gathering near the border and I would like for you guys to go and check this out. You won't be doing this alone since I have requested another team to come and join you for backup. You'll meet them at the gate when you leave and the mission will begin shortly so go ahead and take the next hour or two to gather supplies since you'll be out there for a few days alright? Also, remember how the Raikage rudely refused my invitation to participate in the Chunin exams later this year? I believe this may have something to do with it.'' explained the Hokage.
Tsunade then handed Kakashi the scroll containing the mission objectives before she dismissed them.
''Crap, I forgot to tell them which team was joining them.'' Tsunade thought.
Kakashi and team exit the office into the hallway and together they walk down the stairs to exit the building as a whole.
''You guys heard her, we'll meet at the gate in one hour so go home and pack some food, water and anything you might need since we'll be out for a bit got it? I'll be waiting at the gate to meet up with the team that's gonna back us up.''
''Got it, see you in a bit.'' Sasuke said.
''Okay sensei!'' Naruto quipped.
''I understand Kakashi-sensei.'' Skarlet said politely.
With that the team went their separate ways.
-Konoha Main Gate, 1 hour later-
''You're on this mission with me?'' Kakashi asked incredulously.
Standing before him was one of his colleagues who was a man that stood around the same height as him clad in a green jumpsuit with his Konoha headband wrapped around his waist. One thing that made him noticeable among his peers was his big smile and his bowlcut hair.
''YOSH! It is I Kakashi! When Lady Tsunade informed me of you getting a new student I youthfully requested to accompany you on this mission to see how youthful they are!'' the revealed Might Guy yelled happily.
Two of the Genin accompanying Guy, Neji Hyuga and Tenten only sweatdropped at their sensei's loud mouthed and youthful antics while their third teammate who was dressed in identical clothing, Rock Lee shouted out as loud as he could with as much youthful energy he could muster.
''YOSH! Kakashi-sensei you shall be graced by our youthful presence!'' exclaimed Rock Lee.
''Um, yeah what Lee said.'' Neji groaned.
''Be quiet Lee.'' Tenten ordered.
Kakashi, Skarlet, Naruto and Sasuke much like Neji and Tenten sweatdropped at their antics.
''What in the world is this?'' Skarlet thought in pure annoyance.
After snapping out of his unyouthful daze Kakashi then moved to introduce his newest student to his colleague and his students.
''Uh, right anyway so. Might Guy and team you guys already know Naruto and Sasuke so I would like to introduce you to my newest student, Skarlet Ketsueki.''
Skarlet waved shyly at the other three Genin to which Neji and Tenten returned with their own waves and in Neji's case, a simple nod.
''Greetings.'' said Neji.
''Hi! I'm Tenten, this is Neji and...''
Before the bun-haired girl could even introduce Lee she noticed that he was looking at Skarlet with a wide-eyed puppy look and she along with Naruto, Sasuke and Neji could see that there were sparkles and hearts all around him.
''Uh...''
While she did notice the look Lee was giving her Skarlet did not have the chance to say anything to the bowl headed Genin as he rushed forward, got on one knee and took one of her hands into his much to her annoyance.
''Excuse me what are you doing?'' asked the now annoyed Skarlet.
Sasuke and Naruto could only stare in shock at how bold the bowl-headed boy was with their teammate and they could only look on at the weird spectacle before them and their level of annoyance only grew when a romantic sunset appeared beside Lee and Skarlet.
''What the actual hell!?'' Naruto cried out.
''Oh for crying out loud.'' Sasuke said.
''What in the world?'' Tenten thought.
''I don't know him.'' said an agitated Neji.
"Oh no, this can't be good." Kakashi thought with a deadpan expression.
"Oh my youth! Lee you are about to make me cry from how youthful your love for Skarlet is!" Guy sobbed.
Rock Lee stared into Skarlet with love and passion in his eyes and gave the girl a big smile and he had a huge blush plastered over his cheeks.
"Hello beautiful, how are you this morning?" Lee asked.
"Um, excuse me but who in the world are you and why are you holding my hand and looking at me like that?" Skarlet questioned.
Lee gave the girl another bright smile before winking at her and uses one of his hands to point at himself with his thumb.
"I am glad you asked gorgeous! My name is Rock Lee and I am known as Konoha's Handsome Devil!" declared the boy.
Skarlet was just giving Lee a very agitated look as she just didn't have anything to say to such stupidity in her eyes. He introduced himself to her but that still begs an answer to why he was holding her hand and if she was honest with herself if he didn't let her go within the next few seconds she would disembowel this strange boy. The killer intent she shot at Lee was noticed by everyone else and while Tenten, Neji, Naruto and Sasuke wouldn't mind her smacking the crap out of Lee Kakashi was thinking otherwise.
"Dear God Skarlet don't do anything rash please. First impressions count for a lot." Kakashi thought in fear.
"Please forgive me for moving so fast gorgeous but may I ask your name?" Lee asked politely.
"Um, it is Skarlet did you not hear my sensei say it?"
Her foreign name sounded so exotic to him and it only made him swoon more for her.
"Such a beautiful name full of youth! My dearest Skarlet I have a favor to ask if it behooves you!"
"This guy moved fast like how he does when he uses taijutsu." Naruto thought with annoyance.
"...and what would that be?"
Rock Lee then lets go of her hands and produces a bouquet of roses and presents it to the girl as well as a heart shaped box of chocolate from who knows where.
"Please be my girlfriend!"
Immediately the sunset genjutsu disappeared and silence filled the air as Kakashi and the other Genin just stared at how awkward Lee looked while Guy on the other hand was shouting out words of encouragement to his prized pupil.
"YOSH! That is a magnificent and youthful display of confessing one's love! I'm so proud of you Lee!" Might Guy said as he began to bawl his eyes out.
"What the? Are you really crying?" Kakashi asked incredulously.
"I will never get used to their ridiculous levels of testorone and intensity." Neji spat condescendingly.
"Well, we're stuck with them for a while Neji so all we have to do is accept them for how and who they are." Tenten said with a sigh.
"Okay, who asks a girl to be their girlfriend within seconds of meeting them? I've kept my mouth shut before but you know what? Lee, you and your sensei are freaks." Sasuke thought.
"Dude, what the hell? You can't talk to Skarlet like that she doesn't even know you!" Naruto shouted.
Rock Lee simply stared lovingly at Skarlet and ignored Naruto's comment and he was hoping the crimson-haired girl will say yes to his offer. Lee wasn't much of a romantic type but he promised himself deep down should he ever acquire a girlfriend he will give her the utmost respect and as much youthful love he can give until the day they die. After all he was a believer in the saying of till death do us apart but in his eyes, death won't separate him and Skarlet.
"No, you are an annoying person. I do not know you and if you ever touch me or come near me again I will hurt you." Skarlet said coldly.
She then yanked her hand free from his and went to stand beside Naruto leaving Lee devastated.
"YOSH?! Why not my dearest Skarlet?!" Lee asked.
"Because you are a weird boy and your haircut is stupid." Skarlet said not looking at the boy.
"But Skarlet I vow to protect you with my life!" Lee said as proudly as he could hoping to change her mind.
"No."
Kakashi, Naruto, Skarlet, Sasuke, Neji and Tenten then headed out of the main gate leaving Lee to sulk and he fell to the ground in a fetal position.
Not wanting his beloved pupil to sulk in rejection and misery Guy walked over to Lee and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Do not be sad Lee! I know what will lift your spirits up! We will do hand stands and do one-thousand laps around the village clad in only our underwear! What do you say? It will be excellent training!"
Lee's head shot up and the bowl-cut boy had a look of happiness and his eyes were practically gleaming with joy.
"Yes Guy-sensei! I shall finish this exercise before you to show you how much I've improved!" declared the Genin.
Guy and placed a hand on Lee's head and gave the boy a huge smile and a wink before pointing toward the sunset.
"Just make sure not to mess up your hair.''
As much as Skarlet, Naruto and Sasuke wanted to look away from the idiotic, intense and youthful exchange and banter between Lee and Guy was just so strange they for some reason were unable to take their eyes off of it.
"Just what is wrong with these two? They're always acting so freaking weird!" Naruto thought in disbelief.
"I just can't with these two freaks." Sasuke muttered.
"I do not wish to be associated with these two. Especially the younger one.'' Skarlet said under her breath.
Tenten couldn't help but laugh at Team 7's reaction, especially Skarlet's because if the bun-haired girl had to guess the crimson-haired girl has never met any human thar acted like her friend and sensei and she had grown used to it though it still agitated her time to time. Neji was in the same boat as Team 7, he was used to it but with a personality like his he just did not think people like that should be around him as it made him a little uncomfortable but hey, what can he do? Guy was his sensei and Lee was his teammate and friend so he dealt with it. Naruto and Sasuke have had interactions with Team Guy before but they seriously couldn't with the act both bowl-cut weirdos were always putting.
''Ignore them everyone, they're just ridiculous.'' Neji said.
Seeing as they had a mission to embark on Kakashi snapped his fingers to get the attention of his students.
"Yo you guys good?" he questioned.
His voice snaps his Genin out of their shocked state.
"Uh yeah! I'm all set! How bout you guys?" Naruto asked turning to face his teammates.
"Sure, I just hope I never have to see that crap again." Sasuke huffed.
''I hope he never touches me or comes near me again or else I will kill him.'' Skarlet thought angrily.
Nodding, Kakashi turned to face Guy to try to get him to focus on the task at hand but saw him and Lee still looking off into the sunset and decided to take his team as well as Tenten and Neji with him so they can travel toward the border with Kumo and begin their mission.
-Land of Fire Countryside-
It was about an hour now since Skarlet and team met up with Team Guy and soon after Guy and Lee finally concluded their humorous and strange exchange the two bowl-cut men finally caught up with the rest of the group and after about fifteen minutes of them walking in silence with Guy and Kakashi leading the way while the six Genin all walked behind the two Jonin. Tenten decided to initiate conversation with Naruto's team, specifically Skarlet as her name much like everyone else caught their attention for how foreign it sounds.
Tenten then matched Skarlet's pace so that she and the crimson-haired girl were walking side by side much to Skarlet's surprise.
''So, Skarlet was it?'' Tenten asked.
''Yes, what can I do for you?''
''I've never seen you around the village before and if I had to guess by your name itself you're from another country right?''
Before Skarlet could answer Lee appeared behind her making her almost jump at his sudden appearance.
''Yosh! You have the most youthful name ever my dearest Skarlet!''
Naruto, Neji and Sasuke ran up to the bowl-cut Genin and restrained him.
''Shut up Lee!'' Neji exclaimed.
Skarlet and Tenten then turned around to pay no more attention to Lee as he was restrained by the boys so they can resume their conversation in peace. Guy and Kakashi on the other hand were inwardly laughing at the exchange between their Genin.
''Anyway, are you from any of the other great nations? Your red clothes tell me you might be from Iwagakure originally?'' asked Tenten.
Skarlet shook her head in response.
''No and before you ask me I'm not from Kiri, Suna or even Kumo for that matter. No I'm not from Kusa, Ame, Hoshi, Taki or Oto either.''
Skarlet's answer caught Tenten by surprise, if she wasn't from any village whether it be a great village or a smaller one then where in the world was she from? As far as Tenten knows only the great nations, the smaller ones and other countries like Cha, Yumi, Yuki, and Tetsu were all the countries on the continent. If she wasn't from any of these then there was no way Tenten could guess where she is from at least to her knowledge.
''Really? You're not even from the smaller villages? Not even far countries like Yuki and Tetsu?'' questioned the brown-haired girl.
''I'm from a place that is really far from the great nations and the closest country would be Iwa but even then Iwa is still pretty far away from my homeland.'' Skarlet replied.
''How far are we talking here?''
''So far that it would take you at least a week to get there. I am from Chi no Kuni.''
Tenten was shocked hearing this as she much like everyone else had never met someone from that country. She had read books about a small nation that was very far away that was so weak it wasn't worth Iwa's time during the last war. However she did hear about Iwa potentially trying to assimilate a smaller country during the war and she always thought it was Ame or Kusa but that would've been too obvious. She also read that Chi did have ninja but they did not specialize in any element and were considered fodder by the other great nations they didn't even bother to go to war with the small nation and Chi was left alone.
Skarlet and Tenten's conversation did not go unnoticed by Kakashi and Guy who were listening intently to their female students chatting away and neither did the boys. Lee didn't bother saying anything this time as he found the entire exchange between the girls interesting as well as Neji.
''Blood country? That is a really far country.'' Neji thought.
''Yosh! My dearest Skarlet is from a rather unyouthful nation?! No matter for she is still beautiful in my eyes!'' Lee thought with fire in his eyes.
''Ugh, there he goes again.'' Naruto whispered to Sasuke.
''Get ready to restrain him again just in case.'' Sasuke replied.
Skarlet and Tenten turned to look at Lee and knew why he was reacting that way and just shook their heads at the bushy boy before resuming their conversation once more.
''So anyway, yes I am from Chi no Kuni. It is a very insignificant country with a terrible village filled with terrible people. I was an outcast among the villagers.'' Skarlet said.
''Why is it called Blood country though?'' Tenten asked.
''Because there was always someone dying every day, all you can smell in that place is just blood in the air. It was just a miserable place full of people killing each other which is why it is called Chi. I was not liked which is why I fled that dreary place and after a week of running I came here.'' Skarlet concluded before looking at Tenten, ''Anymore questions you want to ask?''
Tenten noticed the venom in her voice and knew it was directed at her old village and decided to drop the topic right then and there.
''Uh, no I think I'm good.''
The two teams continued their trek toward the border and when they came across a small stream that had a bridge going over it and up ahead was a sign that said they were almost at the border with Kumo and Oto.
''Well, we're almost there everyone.'' Kakashi said pointing toward the sign.
''Yosh, if it is true that Kumo and Oto are seen at the border it is a very bad sign. Do any of you know why?'' Guy asked as he turned to face the Genin.
''It means that they're doing recon. Though I do not understand why from what I have read in books relations between Kumo and Konoha are stable so I see no need for them to be doing this especially with a newer village like Oto.'' Skarlet answered, ''I know Kumo lost to our village in the last war but it would make no sense in Oto's case.''
''I agree with her sensei.'' Tenten said.
''I do as well.'' Lee seconded.
''Same here.'' Neji said.
''Yeah that does make sense. I may be stupid but I'm not THAT stupid.'' Naruto chuckled.
''No you literally are that stupid.'' Sasuke joked.
''Hey!''
''Okay Naruto settle down. You're right on that one Skarlet, good observation. Remember if we do make contact with these guys we can only fight back in self-defense so me and Guy want all of you to prepare for that. You're all trained to kill so if it has to come to that fight them with all you got. Skarlet I understand you wouldn't have problems since you've have your fair share of well, those things growing up so I'm not too worried about you.'' Kakashi said.
''I'm with Kakashi there. Don't be afraid to fight for your youth against the enemy.'' Guy said in agreement.
''I understand Kakashi-sensei, but those were villagers so fighting foreign ninja would be new to me since they can fight back and potentially kill me.'' Skarlet quipped.
Soon enough both teams arrived at a heavily forested areathat was near where the ANBU had last spotted Kumo and Oto ninja meeting and nearby was a clearing where they were last spotted meeting up. All of the Konoha ninja all individually took up positions behind trees and Kakashi looked at his pocket watch to check the time. They all felt a change in the weather and it became slightly cooler since they were near the border line with Kumo.
''The ANBU reports that every time they've spotted the foreign ninja it's usually around this time. Usually between one o' clock to two is when they meet.'' Kakashi then turned the Genin, ''Let's settle in because we'll be waiting a bit for them to show up.''
''Hey look someone's coming!'' Naruto said.
Everyone looked down toward the clearing and saw two figures coming out of the woods from both the left side which was the direction Oto was in and the right side which was where Kumo was located. The shinobi coming out of the Oto side was one male and female wearing the standard tan outfit of Oto. The male was a young man in his late teens that had gray haired tied into a ponytail and he had glasses on while the female was a teenager around the same age as Naruto and company which long, untamed red hair and an Oto bandana on her head and she appeared to be carrying a flute. The Kumo ninja were the same as the Oto ones, one female and one male. The two Kumo shinobi were of darker complexion with the male had short spiky white hair and was sucking on a lollypop. The girl had spiky red hair and amber eyes and the two sides began to talk allowing the Konoha ninja to eavesdrop.
''So what's the word from Lord Orochimaru? We still doing this?'' Omoi, the male Kumo ninja asked.
''Yeah, we have plans to attack Konoha during the Chunin exams but Lord Orochimaru didn't specify which part we will attack.'' Kabuto, the male Oto ninja replied.
''Well Lord Raikage has mobilized a division sized element for the invasion we're just waiting on you guys.'' Karui the female Kumo kunoichi added.
''Tch, you know you Kumo ninja specialize in lighting but you're sure slow as fuck when replying and mobilizing, no wonder you lost the last war to Konoha.'' Tayuya the Oto kunoichi sneered.
The Oto girl's comment earned a glare from Karui and before she could argue with the Oto kunoichi Omoi placed a hand on his shoulder prompting her to stop.
''Karui chill the hell out will you?''
''Tayuya cut it out. Lord Orochimaru has gotten two company sized elements since we're you know, a smaller village so that's really all we got but we're skilled nonetheless.'' Kabuto said.
Guy and Kakashi caught wind of who was mentioned and they only looked at each other with wide-eyed expressions.
''Orochimaru? Are you kidding me? So this must be why Kumo outright refused Lady Tsunade's invitation to the Chunin exams.'' Kakashi thought in disbelief.
''How unyouthful of you Lord Orochimaru to conspire with a former enemy nation. Especially you Lord Raikage that man is one of our village's most wanted!'' Guy thought angrily.
''Orochimaru? Where have I heard that name before?'' Naruto whispered to himself.
Just then the Konoha shinobi noticed a change in the air and heard what sounded like lightning coming from where Karui and Omoi came from and in a split second a figure cloaked in lightning appeared right in front of the two Kumo shinobi and when the figure landed it sounded like lightning striking the very ground. However, Tayuya and Kabuto were unfazed by the sudden appearance of the figure which was a rather tall man that had a very muscular body and blonde hair that was combed back.
Guy and Kakashi were completely shocked at the new person at the meeting as it was Kumo's fourth Raikage.
''What the hell is the Raikage doing here!?'' Kakashi thought in pure shock.
''Oh my goodness! Lord A you are really conspiring with Orochimaru!'' Guy thought, also shocked.
The Genin were in the same state as their senseis as well, especially Naruto as he had never met another Kage besides Tsunade and to see Kumo's Raikage in person was a huge surprise to him.
The Konoha shinobi did not have time to process this as the Raikage began to speak on behalf of his ninja. He points at Tayuya and gives her a look that demanded her respect.
''Watch how you talk about my village and shinobi you spoiled brat.'' A demanded with authority.
Tayuya simply shrugged off the Raikage's demand as if his title meant nothing to her.
''Kay, whatever.'' she said rolling her eyes.
A almost smashed Tayuya's skull in but before he could do that Kabuto stepped in front of his colleague.
''Forgive her Lord Raikage, if it's any consolation I am glad to tell you this.'' Kabuto adjusted his glases and looked in the direction Kakashi, Guy and the teams where a few hundred yards away, ''We have company.''
Without warning Tayuya took her flute and played a quick song that summons what looked like gray worm things with sharp teeth.
''Demon Flute: Chains of Fantasia.''
The worm like constructs then flew straight at the Konoha shinobi.
''Everyone outta the way!'' Kakashi exclaimed.
They all then dodged the attack and the force of which the constructs were sent destroyed the section of forest they were in and when they land they looked up to see the Raikage coming at them shrouded in lightning chakra and they all just barely managed to dodge the attack. The Raikage smashes into the dirt with so much force that a deep crater was left where the impact was.
Kakashi, Guy, Naruto, Skarlet, Sasuke, Lee, Neji and Tenten all regained their bearing and looked to see Kabuto, Tayuya, Omoi and Karui standing beside the Raikage who had an even more angry look on his face from when Tayuya insulted his village.
''Typical of Konoha to be nosy! How much did you hear? ANSWER ME NOW!'' A shouted.
Kakashi and Guy looked at their teams and saw that they were in battle stances before turning their attention back to the Raikage and his company. Kakashi reached into his pocket and drew out a tanto blade and held it in front of him while Guy went into his offensive taijutsu stance.
''Better question is what are you and Oto ninja doing near our border Lord Raikage? You just created an international incident attacking us as well.'' Kakashi said sternly.
''Correct! Lord Raikage it is advised you explain yourself!'' Guy exclaimed.
''Yeah! What are you doing here meeting up with Oto ninja huh?'' Naruto questioned.
A only sneered at the Konoha ninja and noticed the blonde Genin staring angrily at him and he smirked to himself.
''You look like someone I know brat. If I couldn't defeat him I will take you out instead.'' A thought with smug grin.
''It is no business of yours so if you wish to go home with no broken bones I suggest you walk away.''
Seeing as Kakashi, Guy and their team maintained their defensive stances and activating his lightning release chakra mode he goes flying straight toward Naruto.
''Naruto look out!'' Skarlet cried out.
''Here he comes!'' Sasuke shouted.
Naruto did not have time to react as the Raikage came flying at him and before he could have his face smashed in Kakashi activated his chidori covering his chakra sabre with lightning and manages to intercept the Raikage's punch just a hair away from punching Naruto's face in. Taking the chance Guy goes into full on taijutsu mode and delivers a rather powerful kick straight into the Raikage's side sending the man flying into a nearby tree.
''Dynamic Entry!'' Guy exclaimed at the top of his lungs.
''Lord Raikage!'' Karui and Omoi shouted.
The Raikage recovers from the blow and rubs his side and even though he had his lightning armor on he felt the hit pretty good.
''Damn, that was quite a kick you got there, Might Guy of Konoha and that was a fast reaction there, Kakashi Hatake, son of the White Fang.'' A said a bit impressed.
Guy and Kakashi only looked at the Raikage angrily for trying to attack one of their Genin. Both Konoha Jonin turned to face their teams once more.
''You guys handle the other four, me and Guy will deal with the Raikage.'' instructed the silver-haired Jonin.
''Yes, you all are not strong enough to take on an opponent this powerful so leave him to us.'' Guy seconded.
''No!'' Naruto protested.
''Huh? Naruto follow your orders!'' Kakashi shouted.
''Hell no, I got a bone to pick with this guy for trying to punch me in the face!'' Naruto yelled while drawing a kunai.
''Naruto you cannot hope to fight a Kage level ninja on equal footing!'' Skarlet said.
''You moron what are you thinking?!'' Sasuke growled.
''Naruto stop being so reckless!'' Tenten cried out.
''Don't be an idiot Naruto!'' Neji exclaimed.
''A very unwise decision Naruto, please reconsider!'' Lee shouted.
Their argument was cut short when Kabuto and Tayuya attacked Sasuke and Skarlet while Omoi and Karui went straight for Neji, Lee and Tenten and they separated the group so that they won't be able to help each other out in time. Sasuke would end up getting into it with Kabuto while Omoi and Karui took on Team Guy.
''Quit crying for that blonde idiot and fight me bitch.'' Tayuya spat.
Skarlet did not take kindly to the Oto kunoichi's insult and drew her dagger from its holster and held it protectively in front of her.
''Do not call me that, how rude.'' Skarlet snarked.
Kakashi saw that there was no convincing Naruto to change his mind so he begrudgingly accepted Naruto's presence in the fight. Even with strong ninja like him and Guy against a man like the Raikage he knew they were in for one hell of a fight.
''Which one of you wants to get their head smashed in first?'' the Raikage asked.
Both Konoha Jonin charges at the Raikage ready to fight and though they did not intend to fight the Raikage with the mentality to kill they only planned on doing what they can to fight A to a stalemate despite the reputation he has. Kakashi and Guy both go for a thrust and a kick respectively only for the speedster ninja to duck under it and he zips right pass them and with the perfect position he found himself in which was right behind them he goes for a karate chop aimed at Guy's neck with the intent to break it to pieces but Kakashi was able to react fast enough with a chidori infused hand to catch the Raikage's hand in his own. Seizing his opportunity Guy then goes for a full force punch only for the Raikage to break free from Kakashi's grip and goes zipping away to create some distance between him and the two Konoha Jonin.
Kakashi activated his chidori once again while Guy prepared to deliver another dynamic entry and went both flying straight for the Raikage who manages to catch both of their attacks and manages to kick them both away and the two before they could recover the Raikage reactivates his lightning release chakra mode and goes to deliver lightning speed punches to both Guy and Kakashi's guts making them both double over in pain before he kicks them away making the both of them hit a tree leaving them temporarily stunned for the moment. He was simply too fast for them to react to despite being some of Konoha's best ninja.
''Damn! That really hurt!'' Kakashi groaned.
''Oh my goodness what a blow!'' Guy exclaimed.
''I am simply too fast for any of you so you all might as well throw in the towel. Only the fourth Hokage surpassed me in speed.'' gloated the Raikage as he deactivates his lightning armor.
Naruto would take the chance to go in with a kunai hoping to at least get a cut on the Raikage but the older ninja simply grabs the Genin by his throat and holds him in place.
''You are one foolish kid and now you'll pay for your stupidity.''
Naruto's only response was to spit in the Raikage's face making the man flinch from the unpleasant substance hitting his face and he did not notice Naruto taking his kunai and before the Raikage could see it the blonde Genin takes his blade and stabs the arrogant man in his forearm making him groan in pain and he tosses Naruto aside to clutch his bloody wound.
The force in which he was thrown knocked the wind out of him as he struck the ground hard, after coughing and rubbing his sore back he looked to to see the Raikage activating his lightning armor again.
''For that you will be punished!'' the Raikage growled before blitzing his way toward Naruto.
Naruto tried to crawl away but the Raikage grabbed him and held him upside down high into the air.
Kakashi and Guy managed to recover from the hit A had delivered to them and saw what was about to happen to Naruto.
''No! Naruto!'' Kakashi cried out.
''Don't you dare hurt him!'' Guy yelled in a way that was uncharacteristic of him.
-With Skarlet and Tayuya-
Tayuya had proven to be a much tougher opponent than Skarlet could've imagined and while she was a scrappy fighter she was no match for the girl despite being the same age Tayuya seemed to have more experience as she now had her fellow redhead held close to her by her hair making Skarlet whimper at the discomfort of having her hair being pulled so forcefully and Tayuya holding her own dagger against her throat only added insult to injury.
''You were pretty good bitch, I ain't gonna lie but you're just no match for an Oto kunoichi like me.'' Tayuya spat condescendingly.
''Let me go!'' Skarlet screamed in pure anger.
The pain became too much for her and feeling completely insulted by the other girl she takes her left hand and with her nails claws Tayuya across the face leaving horrible wounds on the girl.
''Agh! Fuck!'' Tayuya cried out as she dropped Skarlet's dagger and held her face in pain.
Tayuya then felt a strange feeling coming from her wounds and saw that the blood was making its way toward Skarlet and she went wide eyed as she saw her own blood form into a tanto.
''What the fuck?''
Tayuya couldn't comprehend what had happened before Skarlet lunged forward and goes to stab her in the gut but Tayuya barely manages to raise her forearm and gets stabbed there instead saving her own life. With her attack blocked Skarlet then takes the chance to deliver a punch that struck Tayuya in the face so hard the Oto kunoichi was sent flying a few feet away almost knocking her unconscious and walks over to scoop her dagger up hoping no one but her enemy saw what she had just done. Hearing Guy and Kakashi shouting she turns to see the Raikage raise Naruto into the air as he was just about to smash his head into the ground.
''Oh no! Naruto!''
With his prey in his grasp the Raikage brings Naruto down headfirst into the dirt using his signature Liger Bomb technique and just before he can smash him to smithereens a shadow loomed over him. Looking up the Raikage sees a toad the size of a car come crashing down his way and he lets go of Naruto to avoid being smashed himself. The force of the toad's impact sent him and the blonde flying away in opposite directions and the blonde lands on his butt and he rubs his sore head and behind before getting his senses straight.
''What the hell? I'm breathing still? Sweet!'' Naruto declared optimistically before noticing the toad in front of him, ''Uh, what is that?''
The sound of the crashing caught everyone's attention and they all looked at the toad with Guy and Kakashi being the most stunned out of all of them as they saw a figure standing on top of the toad.
''Wait a minute, is that...?'' Kakashi thought in disbelief.
''Oh my youth it's him!'' Guy exclaimed.
''Could that possibly be one of the...this is bad.'' thought an annoyed Raikage.
''What in the world? How is a toad that big?'' Skarlet said to herself.
''Huh?!'' Naruto cried out.
''Uh, what the hell?'' Sasuke said.
''Damn, it's your former colleague Lord Orochimaru.'' Kabuto thought angrily.
The figure had spiky white hair tied into a ponytail and he was simply striking a pose trying to look as cool as he possibly could.
''Master Jiraiya?!'' Kakashi and Guy exclaimed in shock.
''I sure hope you don't mind me crashing the party!'' Jiraiya declared as he whips his head around, his long spiky hair flowing smoothly with his spinning head.
He then gives them all a big smile.
