Hello everybody and Happy New Year!

I already posted a Christmas message on Legion, so I decided to post a New Year's message on Darth Kyofu and The Manifold.

So something I wanted to let you know is that while I'm working on Legion and hopefully Darth Kyofu, as you already know I have plenty of ideas.

I love to write, but focusing all my writing on them kinda burns me out so I do these oneshots to let the juices flow and be a little break from the big stories as well as provide entertainment for you.

As a reward for you all, I'll let you decide what to write from a selection of AUs I'll put in a poll.

NOTICE: GO BACK TO LEGION: CHRISTMAS MESSAGE, THERE WAS SOMETHING I FORGOT TO INCLUDE IN THE TEASERS, IT'S A SMALL DETAIL, BUT IT'S IMPORTANT.

Izuku groaned as the light flashed in his eyes, his vision hazy as pain flooded through him.

"Oh I must show my thanks to Sensei, a quirkless person in this day and age, at your intellectual capacity is so rare! Let alone 5 quirkless! You'll do just fine for my next series of experiments."

"N-no…"

"Oho! You've still got some spunk in you! Don't worry, that will go away real soon."

All he could see was a lab coat, but the voice was familiar.

Why would a doctor do this?

"Somebody…save me!"

"Hahaha, sorry little boy, but no hero's coming for you. No, your fate is quite grim, locked in this little prison."

He then heard something whirring and fear spiked in his heart.

"Now…prepare for surgery."

And pain was all he felt.

"Log 77839: The subject's core functions remain within tolerable levels, despite complications encountered during microsurgery."

He hated this.

"Subject's strength has multiplied at least tenfold, thanks to my rerouting neural pathways from all but the most basic of cerebral functions alongside the cybernetic enhancements and reconstructed body."

All he could feel was pain.

And rage.

"Hardshell, administer stress test 87B."

More pain wracked through his body.

But he'd gotten used to it.

"Tasty…"

"It hardly flinched, let me play with it."

"In due time, Sharpshot. But for now, he has another purpose."

"Is it ready, Doctor?"

"Yes, my lord. The first complete version of our proto-high ends, hopefully with the data I gather, it will give me the push necessary to finish the rest."

"Have you given it a name yet? I know how fond you are of such things."

"Yes, my lord. Grimlock."

Grimlock's eyes glowed.

Like an obedient dog he followed Shigaraki through the portal.

He was the backup plan, if All Might defeated Nomu, Grimlock kills All Might.

"Bah, All Might's not here! What's the point now of having both of you?" Shigaraki complained.

"Whatever, we'll just wreck his pride, make him regret not coming…Grimlock!"

"Hmmm."

"See that glacier? Go kill some kids there."

Grimlock rumbled and stomped away and Shigaraki turned back to watch Eraserhead beat the crap out of the fodder.

Tooru was petrified, she'd seen Todoroki freeze the entire area but the villain that just appeared was treating him like a toy!

He was freakishly tall, about 15 feet and was in some kind of silvery armor with glowing red decals and some yellow on his chest.

And he was stupid strong, too.

First Todoroki tried to freeze him, but then the villain began to glow and the ice simply melted right off of him. Todoroki then sent glacier after glacier but the giant brute simply punched his way through the ice before finally managing to grab Todoroki and started to crush him.

Todoroki even began to use fire, out of panic or something else she didn't know, but it did nothing as the villain just slammed him into the ground.

When the dust settled, Todoroki was unconscious.

The giant raised his foot, ready to crush the boy but a rock hitting his head caught his attention.

He growled and turned, his vision immediately centering on the 'invisible' girl.

"S-stop it!"

He took a step forward and she took one step back.

"Y-you can see me?"

She gasped as she felt something grab her arm and saw that the villains that Todoroki had frozen earlier were now free and angry.

"So, we got ourselves an invisible chick, huh? You know, we didn't appreciate what your friend there did to us, but we'll deal with him soon enough." The villain said with a grin as he tightened his grip.

"How about we deal with you first?"

Tooru trembled, unable to escape, as a last minute resort, she simply cried out for help.

"Somebody, save us, please!"

Inside of Grimlock's head, stuffed deep under the programming and modifications was the personality of Izuku Midoriya.

It was broken, far too broken to retain its identity, having lost most of its memories and sense of self.

But that one cry for help ignited a single spark.

The spark of a true hero.

"Sorry girly, ain't nobody saving you no-"

"ROOAAARRRRR!"

Grimlock approached and grabbed the villain, Tooru falling back in shock. With a simple throw, he spiked the villain through a building before turning his wrath on the others.

"What the hell?"

"What are you doing!?"

"We're on the same side!"

"Nobody." He growled. "Controls Grimlock!"

"I…will save her!"

With great ferocity, Grimlock attacked the other villains, practically tearing them apart with his bare hands.

Once the carnage was finished he turned back to the girl who was huddling near the boy he'd slammed into unconsciousness earlier.

"Girl…safe?"

"Y-yeah…why did you save me?"

Grimlock grunted, holding his head.

"Nothing…feels right…hard to think."

"Grimlock? That's your name?" She said, for some reason getting close.

"What do you mean that nothing feels right? Are…are you ok?"

'Why am I doing this, this guy tried to kill us a few minutes ago!?'

"Ex-exp-experiments!"

Her blood turned cold.

"Doctor…" He growled, falling to his knees.

"Did…somebody do this to you?" She asked, slowly getting closer.

"What did he do to me? My…my friends! I have to find my friends!"

Getting up to his feet, he started thrashing around and Tooru knew that with the unstable ground around them, something was bound to go wrong.

"Hey! Hey! Listen to me! Grimlock! I-I'll help you find your friends!"

Grimlock huffed and turned to her and she took a few steps back.

"I'll help you find your friends, but you need to calm down, big guy, otherwise the ground will collapse around us."

Grimlock was still huffing so she told him to follow her breathing and slowly she managed to get him calm.

"Better?"

"Better…girl help me?"

"Yeah…yeah, I'll help you…I'm a hero student, that's what we do, we help people, but I need you to help me first, alright? I need to get back to the stairs with my classmates, along with him." She said, pointing to Todoroki.

Grimlock turned to the boy before turning back to her and nodding.

"Uh…let me just grab my clothes first."

It was a testament to how thorough the experimentation was that Grimlock didn't react.

Grimlock paused at the plaza, knowing that if they passed through Shigaraki would know the truth.

"Girl…go around. I'll distract."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Okay." Tooru swallowed thickly as she began to drag Todoroki away.

Grimlock stomped forward and rage began to fill his mind.

He remembered Shigaraki now.

He was there once.

Once.

"Finally, you're back. Have fun, Grimlock?"

"I will."

SLAM!

"What the-!? What are you doing!?" Shigaraki yelled from behind Nomu who'd intercepted the punch from Grimlock that would have crushed him.

"Nobody. Controls. GRIMLOCK!"

"You worthless excuse of a nomu! I'll have to send you back to the doctor in pieces!"

At the mention of said doctor, Grimlock's rage increase as he grabbed the Nomu by the chest and ripped its arm off before tossing it away and swiping at Shigaraki who was barely able to dodge, insteading getting clipped and sent flying back.

"AGH! You stupid bot, I'll tear you to pieces! Nomu! Kill Grimlock!"

Grimlock grunted as a devastating force impacted his side, sending him crashing against the stairs.

"Grimlock!"

Turning to the side, he saw Tooru with some other students who were carrying Todoroki and a bloody hobo up the stairs.

"Go. I'll hold them back!" He growled as he got up and extended his arm. From his wrist came a hilt that unfolded into a glowing sword that he then charged forward with.

"Hagakure, who's that!?"

"His name's Grimlock, he's here to help…it's a long story!"

Grimlock ran full speed, the Nomu, unthinking beast that it was, met him head on and impaled itself on his sword. He continued his charge, crashing through the fountain and heading straight to the other end of the USJ.

The Nomu screeched and clawed but was unable to get leverage. Soon enough, they crashed against the USJ's wall before Grimlock tore the sword out and pummeled Nomu.

Grimlock was sent flying back with another punch but this time was able to dig his sword in the ground to halt his momentum. Activating his shield, he took another earth-shattering blow before continuing his attack.

Nomu was fast and strong, made to fight against All Might head to head.

Grimlock may not have been as strong as All Might, but he could fight.

Parrying a blow this time, Grimlock stabbed his sword into Nomu's shoulder, almost splitting it into two. While the beast's regeneration negated damage, it didn't help much if something was blocking the regeneration.

Such as the sword stuck in its body.

Grimlock then grabbed Nomu's arm and using the sword as a fulcrum, tore it in half with a roar.

Panting in exertion, he nonetheless stood tall to face Shigaraki.

"Next."

"Ragh! This isn't right! How is one of my own mobs going against me! How is Nomu down to you!? THIS ISN'T RIGHT!"

"I'll show you what's right!" Grimlock roared as he charged forward before being slammed by a punch from behind that almost snapped his spine.

"ARGH!"

This time eradicating the stairs with his body, Grimlock could only feel pure agony having been striked where the most modifications had been made.

"Grimlock!"

Tooru climbed down the stairs and made it to his face, his eye visor flickering as he struggled to maintain consciousness.

"Why…are you still…here?"

"You saved my life…I…I wanted to return the favor."

"Should…have run…"

"Yeah…but I wouldn't be a good hero then, would I?"

"Hn…" His visor slowly dimmed.

"Grimlock? Grimlock! Get up!" Tooru said as she started to shake his head.

"Just as I thought…just a dumb brute, maybe even stupider than Nomu. I guess I shouldn't expect much. Once again, we have to put you in your place. The Doctor told me all about it, we're going to tear you apart, just like we did to you and your friends!"

Grimlock's visor glowed bright in fury, heat erupting from him so quickly that he burned Tooru who had to quickly move away.

Snarling, he punched the ground as he got back up and faced Shigaraki as orange energy began to emanate from him.

"RRRRRRRRRGGGGHH!"

Planting his fists into the ground as his entire body transformed, Grimlock roared in his new Tyrannosaurus Rex body, fire erupting from his mouth.

Grimlock snarled and charged towards Shigaraki, roaring along the way.

"Impossible! He overrode the Doctor's programming!"

Nomu charged and collided with Grimlock's head, the force creating a shockwave that sent Shigaraki and Kurogiri flying away.

"NEVER! NEVER GIVE UP!"

With a chomp, Grimlock grabbed Nomu in his jaws and slammed it into the ground before charging forward, dragging it through the ground.

"CRUSH YOU!"

With a final slam, Grimlock then pinned Nomu with his tail, the end working like a drill, tearing into the beast before he opened his jaw and unleashed hellfire.

When the fire finally went away, all that was left was a charred husk inside a molten crater, only the tip of Grimlock's tail was red hot, the heat having barely affected him.

Falling to his knees as he transformed back, Grimlock glared at Shigaraki who could only look at his once-subordinate in fear.

"Kurogiri, get us out of here!"

SMASH!

"I AM HERE!"

"No…no…NOT NOW, NOT AFTER EVERYTHING'S ALREADY DONE!"

"SURRENDER, VILLAINS!"

"NEVER, I'LL KILL YOU, ALL MIGHT! IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO. AS FOR YOU, GRIMLOCK, ENJOY YOUR FREEDOM WHILE IT LASTS BECAUSE I'LL DESTROY YOU TOO!" Shigaraki screamed as Kurogiri's mist enveloped them both before it disappeared.

Finally, things were silent in the USJ.

All Might turned to the giant, and it was a bit off-putting having to look up at somebody.

"Who are you? Why are you here? I presume that you're not a villain since those villains just escaped and were against you." All Might said, still tense just in case he proved hostile.

"All…Might…" Grimlock groaned as he took a step before his knee buckled and he fell.

"Grimlock!"

"Young Hagakure, wait!"

Tooru paid him no mind as she came up to Grimlock's face, her hands grabbing his helmet.

"Grimlock, are you alright?"

"Classmates…safe?"

"Yes…we're safe, all of us…"

"Good…finally…got to be…a hero…" He whispered as his visor went dark and he fully collapsed.

"Grimlock!"

So there we go, Grimlock!Izuku, inspired by Fall of Cybertron and with some changes to Izuku's origin if that wasn't obvious enough.
