I walk out of the portal and the first thing that greets me are the ruins of a city.
"What the hell?" I mutter under my breath.
[Hm… it looks like we ended up somewhere on Earth]
"Any idea as to where on Earth did we end up?"
[How should I know? You were the one who input the destination. You tell me!?]
"Tehe." I scratch my cheek as I laugh nervously.
[You mean you didn't have a destination in mind!? Oh, you sonuvabitch!]
"Hey, cut me some slack. This is my first time hopping universes." I grumbled.
[Whatever. We gotta figure out where we are first]
"Hm." I start walking through the seemingly abandoned city. As I do, I notice that there is no one in sight, not a single soul. "This is weird. It's like I'm in the [Zombie Dungeon] again." A piece of paper flies in and passes my face. I snatch the paper out of the air and look at it. In the paper is a picture of a pink blob of some kind with a maw of sharp teeth.
"DO NOT APPROACH! If you encounter this, run to the nearest human shelter - AMD." I read out loud. "Looks like the city has gone under lockdown." I narrow my eyes at the illustration. "Where have I seen this before?"
Unbeknownst to me, a small pink blob crawls from the wall. From its perspective, it sees a mass of darkness and at the center what appears to be a red heart.
*PING!* My [Radar] goes off and I turn around only for something sharp to suddenly impale me in the chest.
The pink blob tries to pull the harpoon back, but struggles to do so.
The view switches to reveal that the pink harpoon is stuck in my chest, [Dark Matter] keeping it in place.
"Now that wasn't very nice, was it?" I used [Observe] the creature.

I pull my arm out of the wall. "You know, I think I know where we are now." I turn to the rest of the city beyond. "We're in [Glitchtale]."
[Glitchtale?]
"One of the many Undertale AUs that fans have made, though this one is a little… special." I walk down the road as I continue the explanation.
[What makes you say that?]
"After many Genocide Routes, Frisk had enough and tried to stop the Genocide but when they couldn't, they did the only thing they could do: they gave Sans their [SOUL] and he used it to [Reset]. The problem is that a [Reset] like that should've never happened the way it did and because of that, multiple anomalies started to pop up which caused glitch after glitch to build up in the game's code."
[If that's the case, why don't they just Reset and fix everything?]
"They can't." I answered. "After reaching the surface, Frisk destroyed the [Reset] button. You can imagine the number of problems that caused."
[Does that include the blobs?]
"Yup, along with something much worse." I look up at one of the intact skyscrapers. "Let's get a better view of things." I fly upwards and land on the roof of the skyscraper and see firsthand the destruction IT caused.
"I can sense the magical energy in the air. All coming from one area." I turn to the direction of the source. "If I remember correctly, this is where they enact the plan to trap that giant pink blob. Then again, it could be something different entirely." I adopt a thinking pose. "It's been a while since I last watched the show. My memories of it are a little hazy."
[You should try asking someone what's going on]
"And make myself look like I've been living under a rock? No way." I said. "A simple reconnaissance of the city should jog my memory."
I rise upwards and take off. "This is depressing." I look down at the city and see the monsters helping the humans against these blobs. "All the monsters ever wanted was freedom, now they have to fight for it against an enemy that shouldn't even exist. They shouldn't be fighting at all."
[Even the most honest of intentions have disastrous consequences. Frisk may have had good intentions, but even they must have been aware that those choices would come back to haunt them later on]
"Yeah…" Suddenly, a loud blast catches my ears followed by a massive explosion that sends spiraling out of control and crashing on the pavement.
"Dammit…" I push myself up and proceed to dust myself. "Even though I don't take fall damage, that doesn't mean I enjoy getting tossed around like a ragdoll." Loud shockwaves catch my attention as something rises from the background.
[Looks like a battle's taking place]
"Yeah, and I have an idea on who's fighting who." A small smile forms on my face as I pull my hood up. "This is gonna be fun."
In the middle of the city, a fight is taking place. On one side stands a small skeletal being wearing a blue jacket, a gray sweater, a pair of black shorts with white stripes, and a pair of sneakers. He has blue eyes glowing from his sockets as he blankly stares down at two other skeletons, one healing the other.
The first skeleton is wearing a black trench coat, a black turtleneck, black jeans, and black shoes. His most distinctive feature though are the two cracks on his face; one on right side running upwards and the other on his left side running downwards. On the floor is another skeleton, albeit more injured than the other one. He was wearing a red scarf, red gloves, red boots, a black t-shirt, gray undershirt, and black pants.
In front of them is a human or something that remotely resembles a human. It resembles a young girl with brown hair with pink highlights, wears a pink/violent sweater, a pink skirt, and brown boots. However, this is where the resemblance ends. Instead of hands it has pink claws, instead of a mouth it has a pink maw with white shark-like teeth and has pure pink slitted eyes with pink sclera.
Overall, it was more monstrous than the monsters fighting her.
"Hey Papyrus…" The skeleton said with worry etched in his voice causing the other skeleton, Papyrus, to turn to him.
"G-Gaster…" Papyrus calls out before wheezing in pain. He had a puncture wound near his shoulder as well as several cracked ribs from almost getting crushed as well as some cuts and scratches.
"Stay still." Gaster begins to use green magic on Papyrus to heal his wounds, albeit very slowly.
The short skeleton looks at him and pulls his hood down, his eyes becoming pitch-black voids as his mouth pulls into a snarl.
"I've had enough…" He jumps on a blaster and rises into the air. The monster stares at the skeleton as he rises through the air staring right at her with a fake smile written across his face.
"Listen kid, I'm tired, they're tired, you're tired. so I'm just going to end this quickly, okay?" He said as his eyes glow brightly with anger and with a snap of his bony fingers more gaster blasters were summoned until there were enough that when they began charging the entire sky glowed with the monster girl staring at him in fear as her hair began turning more pink by the second.
Meanwhile, Gaster looks up to see what he was doing with fear written on his face
"SANS! STOP!" He shouts as IT grins before releasing a shock wave of energy. Suddenly the blue glow was replaced with pink and all the blasters are aimed at Sans instead of IT.
Gaster can't help but stare in horror as the dozens of blasters fire at Sans only for the horror to be replaced with shock as a green dome surrounds Sans and deflects the barrage.
"WHAT!?" It screams but before it can react a black blaster appears and fires point-blank, destroying the pavement and sending the creature flying.
"Hm. Looks Like I arrived just in time."
Gaster slowly turns to the direction of the voice to see a human walking towards them with a black-themed Chroma floating next to him.
"A human…?" Gaster mutters, clearly confused. 'How does he have access to my magic?'
"You guys look like you could use some help." I said with a smile.
Sans descends down and jumps off the head of his blaster.
"Who are you?" Sans asks me with an all too serious tone unlike his usual lazy self.
"My name's Asmodeus, as for who I am…" I ponder for a moment. "Let's just say I'm a traveler and I got lost. I saw you guys fighting that pink thing and thought you might need help."
Though a totally different scenario is taking place inside the Gamer's mind.
In my mind
"OMG, I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M MEETING SANS IN THE FLESH! OMG, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! THIS IS SO AWESOME! THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!" I scream as I jump up and down with a Sans plushie in my arms.
[Jesus Chirst dude, calm down]

Sans narrows his eye sockets before they turn pitch-black in shock at what he sees.

"Here, drink this. I'm not sure if it'll completely heal your body but it should be able to keep you together." I state. 'This is a good chance to see the healing properties of a high-tier healing item first hand.'
Sans stares at the bottle before looking at me. Who is this guy? Where did he come from? So many questions are running in his head and the fact that he couldn't see his level didn't help his paranoia.
"Sans." The voice of Gaster suddenly brings him to reality as he glances at the royal scientist who nods his head.

"That's an [Elixir] for you." I said. 'I honestly wasn't sure if it'd worked, especially on a monster like Sans. Glad to see my thoughts were misplaced.'
Betty (AN: I'm gonna call her Betty from now on because Bête Noire is just too long) walks forward and looks at us though her attention is mainly centered on me. "Who are you?" Her voice is a mix of hisses and growls.
"Just a humble traveler who decided to have a closer look at the chaos." I said.
"Oh? I'm glad to see someone is interested in my work." Betty smiles.
I shrug. "Well, when you're making such a ruckus in the city of course someone would want to take a closer look."
"Then you must know that what I am doing is for the sake of all humans." Betty states.
I tilt my head. "Oh? How so?"
Betty giggles. "Simple. These monsters cannot be allowed to roam free. If they did, then the events from a thousand years ago will happen again. So, I'm going to STOP IT before it begins."
"By killing humans and monsters." I surmised.
"Hehehe, yes~" Betty cackles with delight. "It has been going so well, I have killed so many monsters and I've harvested enough [SOULs] from the humans to become all powerful. Nothing can stop me!"
'Does she not see the error in her logic? Then again, she's just a spell so it doesn't really have much in common sense.' I scratch my head. "That's all well and good, but…" I step forward. "You'll have to get through me first."
Quest Unlocked!
Quest: Control the Fear
Bête Noire has laid waste to most of the city, killing monsters and harvesting human souls. She is a construct created by a spell used by a spiteful woman who killed her own brother and little sister that is now running out of control. Her kill count is beyond hundred-thousands. It's time to put this curse to rest.
Objective: Defeat Bête Noire
Rewards: 51,098 EXP, 33,102 Credits, Skills, Perks, Common Gacha Token, Legendary Gacha Tokens
"That's fine. After I kill you, I'll kill those clowns behind you and take their souls." From Betty's perspective, she can see the souls of her opponents: three [Monster SOULs] and a red/black soul.
'His [SOUL] looks valuable… I need it!" Betty thought.
"Speaking of which, you have a very interesting soul yourself. Mind if I take it?" Betty creates a pink spear and charges at high speeds.
"Kid!" Sans yells as he tries to use his magic to move me out of the way.
I snap my fingers.
Betty looks confused before the ground suddenly bursts into a pillar of flames right at her eyes. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" She lets out a screech of pain as she leaps back from the intense heat as her outfit is aflame.
"If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen." I joked.
"I'll kill you!" Betty roars and transforms her arms into blades.
I raise my hands which, at first, made the Bête Noire look at me funny before the ground around her begins to shift and rise, forming a multitude of hand constructs.
"Heh." I throw my arms forward and the constructs copy the action.
Betty dodges the attack but soon multiple earth arms spring from the ground and surround Betty before they dogpile on her and bury her in rocks.
*SHING, SHING, SHING, SHING, SHING!* The pile of earth constructs collapses as a pink blurr surges out of the rubble and rushes towards its target.
But before the attack could even connect, he vanished!
"Wha-" But before Betty can ask her query something cold presses on her back.
*BANG!*
At that moment, Betty's torso explodes outward in a gory mess with a pink and black substance.
The scene switches to smoke before pulling back, revealing me holding the [Super Shotgun] in my hands.
Despite having her torso blown off, the Bête Noire is still alive as she slowly looks at me with rage in her eyes. "Lucky shot." Black ooze surges out and begins to reattach itself to the lower half. It pulls the torso upwards and snaps into place before it disappears, revealing her injury (and her clothes) to be completely restored. "Too bad miracles only happen once."
"We'll see." I said. 'In Glitchtale, Betty was shown to regenerate missing limbs thanks to the [HATE] inside her. Though I wasn't expecting this level of regeneration, it's impressive.' I returned the [Super Shotgun] to my inventory. 'Normal weaponry won't be much use against Betty since she'll just regenerate. I'll just have to continue using magic until something sticks.'
Betty's pink arms begin to grow bigger as her fingers grow sharper. She launches herself at me. To most people, she appears to be moving at supersonic speeds.
But to me… she was slow.
Way too slow.
Without missing a beat, I use [Sonido] to get right in front of Betty and before she can react, I punch her in the gut.
"Gh! Ah…!" Betty staggers back as she holds her stomach in pain before throwing up [HATE] sludge everywhere before her legs give out.
"Ugh, it got on my shoes." I hissed in disgust.
Betty looks at the ground, shock written all over her face. 'This is impossible. How could I be losing to a HUMAN!? I'm supposed to have the most powerful soul in the world! And yet… I'm being beaten by some nobody!' She lifts her head to see him staring down at her. 'At this rate… he'll kill me.' Her eyes blink as she finally notices the monsters behind him. 'But maybe I can still turn this to my favor.' She smiles.
I narrow my eyes at the monstrous girl. 'What is she smiling about?'
Betty suddenly raises her hand and summons dozens of dark magenta triangular projectiles before launching them straight at me.
"Useless." I summon a green [Chroma] and project a green barrier that deflects the onslaught. However, in the midst of the bombardment I catch a glimpse of Betty running past me. "Shit!"
"!" Sans tries to counter with his magic but Betty manages to get in front of him. She morphs her arm, becoming massive and hits the blue skeleton with a haymaker powerful enough to send him crashing into several buildings across the city.
… and away from Gaster and Papyrus.
She grabs the two skeletons with her arms now fully transformed into giant claws.
"Not another step!" Betty shouts, earning a glare from the hooded man. "Take another step and I'll turn these dirty monsters into dust!" 'Even if he is stronger than me, he is still human and that means he cares about others. He won't let these monsters die.' She tightens her grip on the skeletons and begins to crush them. They gave a shout of pain, and she gave a predatory smile.
[It seems she is getting desperate, using hostages like this. What are you gonna do?]
"..." I dismiss the barrier and begin to walk forward, which surprises Betty.
"What are you doing? Why are you coming closer!? Don't you care about what happens to these monsters!?" Betty shouts in confusion.
"I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer. Besides, why should I care about what you do with them? They're just deadweight to me." I told her.
Betty is gobsmacked by his answer as are Gaster and Papyrus. He doesn't care about monsters!? That doesn't make any sense! She thought he came here to save the monsters!
"If you don't care about the monsters, then why are you interfering!?" Betty demands.
"Why?" I glare at her. "You'll be dead soon anyway, so why should I even answer that question?" I summon [Beowulf] and rush at her at blinding speeds before kneeing her in the face causing her to let go of Gaster and Papyrus as she crashes into a nearby building.
I turn my attention to the two skeletons as they struggle to get up. "You two are too weak to fight. You need to get out of here."
"But-" Papyrus is cut off by what I said next.
"Find Sans. Get to the park and help the humans deal with the giant blob." I lean forward a little. "Sorry for calling you deadweight." I then vanish with [Sonido].
Gaster looks on in a trance before shaking his head and stands up. "Come on, Papyrus. Let's find your brother." He gives his hand to the younger skeleton.
"Okay…" Papyrus takes his hand and Gaster pushes him upwards.
As they leave to find Sans, Gaster turns back to where the human went. "That human… he is not normal."
"Do you think he can beat her?" Papyrus asked.
"I don't know to be honest, but at this point, anything is possible." Gaster replies. 'He not only has access to my magic, but a variety of magical items. Not only that but his soul felt… awful. It was cold and dreary, like a void.' He takes a deep breath. 'We may have just replaced one monster with another.'
"Goddammit!" Betty roars as she digs herself out of the rubble. "That bastard! How dare he play me like this! When I see him again, I will make sure he suffers!"
"Then I guess you won't have to wait too long."
Betty blinks in surprise as she sees me standing in front of her before narrowing her eyes. "Grr… how do you do that!?"
"Trade secret~" I quipped.
Betty grits her teeth. "You know there's no hope for them. I will kill everyone in this city. It is only a matter of time." She raises her hand towards me and smiles. "You should join me. With your strength and my power, we can change this world for the better. We can create a true utopia for humanity."
I look at the hand before glancing at Betty's smiling face. In my mind, instead of Betty I see the void and the smiling form of Chara with two buttons in front of them: [ERASE], [DO NOT].
'This feels like the Genocide ending in Undertale. Where Chara greets the player with the choice of either erase the world or go back.' I thought before I let out a huff. 'Except, in actuality, there was no choice at all.'
[Even if you did choose to join her, what would you even do in this AU? Conquering the city does nothing and thanks to the glitches, it's only a matter of time before this timeline is completely erased]
"Sorry, but I'll have to refuse." I said. "This world doesn't interest me at all. Compared to its numerous counterparts, it is very small. Plus, I see no point in conquering this broken world since conquest never peaked my interest."
"Oh, and what does?" Betty asked.
"Anything that stands out to me, things that I haven't experienced yet." I replied. "I want to explore the multiverse, discover new things, eat bizarre foods, fight powerful opponents and so much more." I sigh. "I never cared about strength, I just want to enjoy living." An idea then pops into my head. "You could come with me."
Betty blinks in surprise. "... what?"
"I said you could come with me." I repeated. "You are special, Bête Noire, it would be a waste to kill someone like you. I can show you things, experience things that you could never be able to do in the confines of this broken universe."
"This universe? This is MY universe! I can do whatever the hell I want with it!" Betty screams. "If you think I'm just going to give up my chance at completing my mission then you are insane! I will take your [SOUL] and become the ultimate being!"
I look at her impassively. "A shame. Well then, I guess there is no point in prolonging this any longer." Betty freezes at the absurd [Bloodlust] radiating off him. "You are free to use any trick you can muster but no matter what you do, what you say, what you use as a weapon," Silver light begins to radiate off my eyes. "I am going to kill you."
Betty doesn't have time to blink as in one moment the human grabs her face and proceeds to throw her across the city before crashing in an empty, but destroyed clearing (AN: This is where Frisk and Betty fought each other).
Betty quickly jumps out of the crater. "RAAAAAARH!" She lets out an inhuman scream filled with frustration and rage.
"Rider Kick!"
Betty doesn't have time to react as an object of light hits her in the torso, burying her deeper in the crater she created. She tries to retaliate but something grabs her arms and rips them off her body.
"Do you understand now?" The light disappears as I stand on top of Betty. "You never had a chance against me. Your [Level Of ViolencE] is simply too low to even match me." I crush Betty's arms and throw them away before grabbing Betty by her head and lifting her up to meet my eye level. "You should have taken my offer."
Betty's mind was going haywire. He was holding back. He underestimated her.
This human, no, this Monster was much stronger than she originally thought. As she helplessly stared at those void silver eyes, a single familiar feeling rose within Betty.
Fear.
'I'm going to die…' Betty thought as she sweats profusely. 'I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die!'
"I DON'T WANNA DIE!" Betty's hair glows bright pink as she looks directly at me.
"Hm?" I blink in surprise as in Betty's place was a bloody and near dead Summer Rose, but then her body glitches out revealing an elderly woman whom I knew too well.
It was my mother… my REAL mother.
"Why didn't you help… me…?" She says in a mix of both hers and Summer's voices as she reaches out to me.
Back in reality, Betty manages to free herself from her oppressor's grip and begins to climb out of the crater.
"I put all of my remaining magic into the illusion to make it extra potent, it should be able to keep him trapped there for a while." She looks at the stumps still dripping with [HATE]. "My arms still haven't healed. I need to find someplace to recover my strength."
Back in the illusion
I stared at my mother(s) near-dead form before I opened my mouth. "I was so scared…" I suddenly blurred out as tears began to come out. "I couldn't do anything… my body just refused to move. There hasn't been a single day where I don't think about what I should have done that day. That's why," I raise my hand and summon the [Super Shotgun]. "I'll make sure no one experiences the same pain I have."
*BANG!*
Betty is seen walking out of the area but just as she was about to reach the threshold, she felt an oppressive sensation crawling down her spine. It is cold, deadly, angry and most importantly… familiar.
"Hello, Bête Noire."
That voice sent shivers down her spine. It was hoarse and gravely mixed with hints of sadism and hatred. She slowly turns to look only for a massive blade to pierce through her chest before lifting her up as she now has a good look at the person in front of her. His hoodie is down revealing the long white horns adoring his head with black tattoos running down his face. But the part that makes her squirm is the pitch black aura enveloping him. It felt like [HATE] but it's more intense, more powerful.
This… this was a Demon.
I swing my sword causing Betty to be thrown back into the cliff. Betty struggles to stand as she desperately tries to muster more power from the [HATE] but she is too weakened to do that.
"Did you know that Sans was a judge?" Betty looks up to see me floating in the air. "Weird, right? You wouldn't think someone so lazy and doopy-looking would have such a role, but despite appearances he does live up to the title. And you know something?" I raise my hand up to the sky. "I happen to be a judge, too." A massive, black [Gaster Blaster] materializes right above Betty. "And it's time for the verdict."
Betty's expression is riddled with fear as she stares at the massive dragon skull in the sky charging up.
"Guilty." I close my fist and the blaster fires.
The scene changes to the city as the humans try their hardest to subdue the pink monster. However, they are all caught off guard by a loud shockwave and when they turn to look they see a massive mushroom cloud in the background.
One of the humans looks on in shock before taking off his goggles. He has spiky blonde hair on the top and purple hair on the bottom, pale skin, and yellow-purple irises and wears a purple vest.
He is Rave Rutrow, the CEO of the Rutrow company.
"What… what was that?" Rave asked as he tried to keep his composure.
At the same time, Papyrus and Gaster can be seen carrying an unconscious Sans when they are all thrown off by the massive explosion.
Papyrus' sockets widen as he instantly recognizes the magic. "Gaster!"
"Yes, I know." Gaster said as he narrowed his sockets at the mushroom cloud. 'I have a lot of questions for you boy, and I will get my answers one way or the other.'

The roof of the earth dome begins to crack and soon [HATE] jumps out of the construct and summons a blue platform for support.
I narrow my eyes at the creature's more stable form. "It's evolving at a faster rate than I thought. At this rate, it'll have complete mastery over its traits."
It raises its hands and they glow blue, creating dozens of saw constructs and sends them all after me.
"HA!" I dodge all of the projectiles and activate [DUALITY] above the amalgamate before clasping their hands together and slamming it back into the dome before firing a beam of red and purple into the dome destroying it in a big explosion.
However, as the dust settles, I see the form of the [HATE] having used green magic to form a protective dome around itself, shielding it from the blast.
"You just can't stay down, can't you? Fine." I cross my arms above my face. "I never actually tried using this state, but there's no other choice." Black energy begins to surround me, causing static electricity to rise. My eyes release a silver smoke as I extend my arms outwards and nine [Chromas] of different colors appear followed by four massive hands and one large blaster. "[Polychromatism]."
The [HATE] launches forward only for its limbs to be sawed off by the blue constructs and falls to the ground.
"The black [Chroma] is the trait of [HATE], it enhances all other [Chromas]." I said.
The amalgamate quickly regenerates its limbs but it doesn't get the chance to move as it is completely wrapped in blue strings from the cyan [Chroma].
"You will not escape." All of the blasters lineup above the amalgamate as they begin to charge up. "Goodbye… abomination!" The blasters all fire simultaneously, engulfing the [HATE] completely.
When the blasters stop, all that remains is a large burn mark on the ground.
"Is it… is it gone?" I asked.
[It would seem so]
I sigh. "Finally, I was starting to get worn out. I need to find the others and-"
*SHING!*
-20,034 Damage(-50%)
0/10,050 AP
10,528/18,600 HP
"Ugh!?" I look down to find a massive red greatsword impaled through my chest. When I look up, I see a black hand only for it to explode with red energy.
When the energy dissipates, it shows the [HATE] fully reformed except now looking more humanoid than ever with beady red eyes.
It opens its hand and the sword in my chest disappears, returning back to its wielder.
"*Cough*" I collapse as I hold on tightly to the gaping hole in my chest. "Just… what are you!?" That's when I notice cracks appearing on the abomination's chest, slowly forming into a familiar shape.
A human SOUL.
D̶͙̦͚̙̑͝E̸̢̛̼̮̯̙͚̲͔̾́̌Ţ̵͔̞̘̣̹̯̼͌̉̑̑̕͠Ĕ̶̡͉͖̮̭̖̻͎R̵̡̛̜̝̱͖͈̠̀̾́̽͒͗͘M̴̞̩̳̝̳͕̌̌̀̾͝I̶̧͖̫͔͊̄̓̓̉ͅN̵̬̹̞͓̝̫̑̍̾̀͋͜͝A̶͎̳̼̙̓̏T̴͈̎̐͒̃̔̅ͅI̷̧̧̠͕̥͉̺̳͆͊͂̀̒̌̽ͅƠ̵̮͔͓̩͓͎͗̎͗͛̄͜N̸͙̻͆̂
The abomination leaps high before descending rapidly for a downward strike, only to be stopped by the upper part of the blaster. However, this results in a shockwave so powerful that it blows away everything behind; rocks, trees, you name it.
I summon the lower jaw of the blaster and fire at the creature, before taking to one knee as I use all of my willpower just to keep going.
"Tobi… I can't keep this up for much longer…" I said in between breaths.
[The only thing I can think of is using your Semblance to create a weapon capable of destroying it. But in your current state, you might not survive…]
"We don't have a choice. Either we kill it here… or everyone dies." I said as I straightened myself. I raise my arm and open my hand. [Nemesis] quickly envelops me as I close my eyes as I try to focus on the image.
A majestic sword.
A divine construct created by inhuman hands.
The pinnacle of all legends.
"Ugh!" I can feel my mind and soul burning in an attempt to bring the image to life. "I… have to keep going!" I muster every ounce of [Determination] to ignore the pain and continue.
The sword that defined a kingdom.
The king who used it to forge an era of prosperity.
The [HATE] manages to free itself from the blaster and looks confused as darkness surrounds his prey.
"Gah!" I cough up blood as I take to one knee.
[You have to stop this! At this rate, you'll die!]
"No!" I yell as the [Dark Matter] begins to take form. "I'm so close!"
A sword that represents the hopes and dreams of mankind.
The perfect king who did not understand the feelings of the people.
Light begins to shine underneath the cloak of darkness.
No.
Rather, the darkness is being converted into light.
The Ultimate Sword.
The Last Phantasm.
The [HATE] senses the absurd power and lets out a roar. It launches itself at the human only for it to be blown back by the strong wind currents.
In my hands is a western-style sword with a glowing golden blade. The hilt is blue with a golden guard with letters inscribed into the blade that aren't part of any known human language.
"I… I did it…" I muttered. "How long…?
[You have about another 5 seconds to use it. Anymore and your SOUL will certainly shatter]
"Then there's no time like the present is there? Let's finish this." I raise the sword high above my head. The moment I did, golden particles began to rise from everywhere.
From the earth, the trees, the rivers, the cities, the people.
All of them converge directly to me.
"Ex…" The [HATE] lunges forward and throws its greatsword at me. "CALIBUR!" I bring the sword down, unleashing a massive beam of light at the creature.
The [HATE] has no time to dodge it, nor register that it was even attacked. The moment it was engulfed in the light there was no escape. Its body quickly broke down and whatever was holding it together soon disappeared along with it.
The light is seen by all living creatures as it continues traveling through the mountains and into the sky where it harmlessly dissipates.

Allows you to generate a large negative-color dome that will allow you to commandeer any magical construct (be they weapons or summons) and uses the target's MP instead of your own. This also prevents the affected target from dispelling the stolen constructs but does not affect their ability to create replacement weapons.

[Dark Ray LVL. 1/10]
A variant of the "God Ray". It allows you to fire a blast from your fingers, however instead of instantly killing the person, it leaves them in a near-death state freezing their stats so that they can remain in a constant state of intense agony.

The final shot will kill the target, however, their bodies will be turned into Dark Matter and absorbed into the user.

"Haa… haa…" Excalibur begins to break down in my hands. "And this time… don't come back…" I lose all strength in my legs and fall to the floor. Excalibur touches down and shatters into pieces before evaporating into [Dark Matter].
"I'm… gonna take a nap…" I close my eyes before a silhouette approaches me.
Sometime later
My eyes slowly open and I am greeted by an unfamiliar white ceiling. "What…?"
"Nice to see you still with us, kid."
I turn to the voice and find myself in the presence of an iconic skeleton. "It's you."
"Heya." Sans says in his usual grin. "The name's sans. Sans the skeleton."
"Sans. Like Comic Sans?"
"In the flesh." Sans said, chuckling at his own pun. "You sure went through hell, kid. When G found you, we thought you were dead for sure."
"Honestly, it felt like I was gonna die." I remarked.
Sans chuckles. "Well… everyone in the city is thankful for what you did. They want to throw you a big party."
"I'm sensing a 'but' here." I comment.
"But," Sans' attitude begins to shift. "I'm curious as to how you beat that thing."
"I'm just that special."
"Yes… 'special'." Sans quotes. "Let's be honest, kid. That Betty thing was a Monster. No one in the city could ever hope to match it. Yet somehow, a traveler manages to not only drive it away, but kill it too."
'I have a feeling I know where this is going.' I thought. "Why are you here, Sans?"
Sans raises his hands as a gesture of goodwill. "Hey, hey, no need for violence, don't be so nervous. Relax, kiddo. That said," His eyes open revealing both of them to be bright blue, "if i'm here, then that means I am here for one thing… just Judgment."
The moment I saw his eyes, a shiver began crawling down my back.
"I saw your [SOUL] back then, and I have to say it made my creeped me the hell out. So tell me, kid." The animosity in Sans begins to flare as it swallows the entire room in a black void. "How many monsters did you kill?"
I stare at Sans with visible fear in my face until [Gamer's Mind] calms my nerves. "That's a matter of perspective, Sans. It'll take me a while to explain."
"Well, it's a good thing that I'm on my break. So start explaining." Sans said, his last words were a command.
"It's true that I killed monsters," I admitted, causing Sans to glare at me. "But there weren't [Monsters]."
Sans looks confused. "What do you mean?"
"The monsters I fought were ferocious and merciless creatures. They kill anything that makes eye contact with them." I stated. "And before you say it, no, there can't be reasoned with. They are basically just feral animals."
Beads of sweat begin to roll off Sans' skull.
"I've fought a lot of them. From zombies, to lizardmen. To harpies and demons. Yeah, you heard me, literal demons from [Hell]. And I killed them." I smiled a little. "It wasn't easy, I'll tell you that much. There were many times where I fought and I was gonna die, but in the end, I won."
Sans really didn't have anything to say. If what the kid said was true, then he really didn't have a choice. He had killed monsters and while it was something that he couldn't agree with, he could understand why he did so: survive. It was no wonder his [Level Of ViolencE] was so high to the point that he couldn't properly see it.
'It really is Kill or be Killed, huh?' "Geez, kid. You must have gone through a lot." Sans comments before his face fell. "I'm… sorry I forced you to relive those bad times."
I shrug. "Ah, don't worry about it. And those times weren't really bad, I got cool stuff out of it." I then went on to explain all of the items and cash I got from my dungeon crawling.
"So you're filthy rich and a walking arsenal? Damn, kid." Sans said.
I smirk. "I know, right? And I still haven't used half of my stuff."
Sans laughs. "Oh kid, you are a riot." He calms down. "By the way, I've been meaning to ask you something. How are you able to use G's magic? As far as I know, only [Monsters] can use that type of magic."
"Oh that. Well, where I am from you aren't born with magic, you are taught magic." I lied.
Sans arches a metaphorical eyebrow at me. "Is that so?"
"Yup." 'Just gotta bullshit through this and hope he buys it.'
"You're not from around here, are you?" Sans asked.
"You got it." I confirmed. "You're likely already aware of this, but as you've probably surmised, I'm not from this universe, so my rules are VERY different from your own."
"You said you were taught magic. Who exactly taught you the most complex magical archetype in [Monster] history?" Sans asked.
"An old man named Ozma. He is the headmaster of one of my home's most prestigious schools." I replied. "He also has this mysterious air about him, like he is hiding something or carrying an unusually heavy burden on himself. He may seem friendly on the outside, but that is probably because everyone would be creeped out by his otherworldly nature."
"You talk like this Ozma guy isn't human." Sans points out.
"In a way, he isn't. I don't think he has been human for a long time." I elaborate.
"Hm." Sans hums at the answer. "Welp, looks like my break's over." He stands up and makes his way towards the door. "Get some rest, kid. Tomorrow's gonna be one helluva day." He opens the door and walks out.
I let out a sigh of relief, 'I can't believe he bought it.'
[To be fair you didn't lie much. You only lied about where you got the magic]
"I guess so." That's when something crossed my mind. "Hey Tobi? Is there any chance that Azule is still alive inside me?"
[No. His soul was erased when you defeated him. Why bring this up?]
"It's just that when Betty put me under an illusion, I saw the bloodied remains of my mom; both Summer and my birth mother. They were crawling on the floor, reaching out to me and asking why I didn't help them." I said. "At that moment… I don't know what happened, but I sorta just… lost control of my mouth. I was saying things that didn't make any sense to me. I knew I was under Betty's illusion, but I still went and confronted it." I elaborate. "I… I think I cried."
[Hm… it's probably memory fragments but I'm not too sure. I'll do a thorough scan on you later. Right now, I'm tired from keeping you alive. Please don't pull a stunt like that again]
"Hehe, sorry." I close my eyes and let sleep finally take me.
The next day, the entire city went into party mode. With everyone celebrating, drinking, talking, eating along with um… explicit things in the background.
The [Monsters] were especially excited to see the second savior of their raise. Everyone was either asking for either a dance, or an autograph; Monster Kid specifically.
As I walk through the crowd, I eventually run into Chara. The atmosphere between us was awkward at first but it wasn't until Asriel appeared that the tension was cut. Chara was thankful for ending Betty and was curious about my [SOUL] trait. When I told it was [Determination], Chara didn't seem to believe me but to my surprise Gaster appeared and confirmed that I did have a red soul much like her.
Chara was taken aback by the revelation, knowing that only one person in the world can have a red soul every couple of centuries.
"I just have a question for you." Chara narrows their eyes. "How do I know you didn't save us just so that you can later kill us?"
I didn't reply and simply pointed to the other end of the room. Chara turns to look and sees Undyne leaning against the walk, looking absently at the night sky with a drink in her hand.
"We did it Al… and it's all thanks to you." Undyne says before letting out a sigh. "I wish… I wish you were here to celebrate."
"Un-Undyne?"
Undyne's eyes widen and her neck snaps at the source and sees a short orange lizard-like monster wearing a pair of glasses and a black dress.
"ALPHYS!" Without a beat, Undyne tackles Alphys into a crushing bear hug and begins to cry. "You're here! You're alive!"
"U-Undyne. Y-You're crushing me!" Alphys said.
"If this is a dream, I don't EVER wanna wake up!" Undyne exclaims.
"I-It's not a dream, Undyne. I-I am here." Alphys assures her until her face turns blue. "U-Undyne, c-can't b-breathe…"
"Oh! Hehehe." Undyne lets go of Alphys and gives her a sheepish look. "Sorry, Al."
As the two interact, Chara is dumbstruck by what they're seeing. Alphys is alive, she is alive!
"H-How!?" Chara asks and slowly turns to me.
"Spoilers~" I said with a wink.
The party went on without interruption, everyone was having a good time.
Finally, monsterkind has the happy ending they've always dreamed of.
A few days later
I look at the city from the cliff as the sun sets in the horizon.
"So you're leaving then?" Sans said from behind me.
I smiled. "Yup. I had a good time here. Meeting you all and helping out with repairs was sure fun."
"I still can't believe you donated 5 billion G to the city. I knew you were rich but not that rich." Sans remarks.
"The look on Gaster's face was priceless." I snickered at the memory.
"By the way, did you manage to get that thing you wanted?" The lazy judge asked.
"Sure did~" Multiple pictures appear of the group with a variety of signatures on each of them. "Everyone was pretty happy to give me their autographs, especially your brother." I chuckled. "He just couldn't stop crying about it."
"Hahaha, that's my bro for ya. Oh and, here's mine." Sans takes out a a picture and levitates it my way.
I grab it and look at it; it was Sans sleeping on the couch.
I look back and saw it empty. "You didn't sign it."
"I did sign it." Sans confirmed.
"With what? Invisible ink?" I asked.
"Yup." Sans replied nonchalantly.
I let out a sigh. 'Guess I was expecting too much out of him, huh?'
"Welp, I'm going to Grillby's. See ya around." He teleports away.
I stretch my arms and sigh. "Welp, time to hit the road." I open a portal and go into it. "Off to another adventure."
Unknown dimension
An entity watches from the battle from the blackness of its world. Its figure is obscured by the light of the screen but it has no lower torso.
"Fascinating. To think a human like him could exist." The entity said. "Perhaps he could assist me in my experiment. He could be the missing link I've been looking for."
Author Notes
I know, I know this isn't what you wanted but I've been DYING to write an Undertale chapter for a long time, even before the time I was writing the original story.
After this, I'm going to write a new story. Or maybe I'll write three? Who knows? I haven't decided yet but it's gonna be good.
Rest in peace, Jason David Frank. You will always be the greatest ranger.
Peace~
