Jaune and the others were talking about what to do next. It was time for the next phase after everything was settled and the shock had subsided. Money! They needed much of it since living in a ruined church was uncomfortable. And they needed money for food! They have veggies and fruit but no meat. That was not acceptable. A balanced diet of meat, veggies, and fruit is essential.

Yang asked, "So, Jaune. Are you planning to head to the Tower of Babel, which I assume is the giant tower that looks like it came from your Dreamscape?"

Jaune nodded and said, "Yup! We need money to repair the place and to buy meat. And I'm guessing you girls would not be comfortable going number 1 and 2 in the ground?"

They all shook their head. Seeing as Jaune was planning to repair the place, he has a way to do so quickly when he gets the material. But Ruby had to ask, "How are you planning to get this place up and running with water, electricity, and everything quickly?"

Jaune smirked and said, "In the Dreamscape, I received it quite a while back, but I had no use for it. I received an item called Building Formula. Essentially, it is a blueprint, which would automatically build itself in a few minutes if you gather the materials needed."

Weiss asked, "Which is why we need the money immediately."

Jaune said, "That's right. But if worse comes to worst, I can open the door back to Remnant."

Pyrrha asked, "How are you planning to get money quickly?"

Jaune replied, "I spoke to Eina earlier, and she recommended me a place to sell the weapons I'm not using. She told me to head to the Tower of Babel and enter the shop of Hephaestus Familia, and they would give us a fair price."

Hestia said to Jaune, "If you want to sell your weapon, I might be able to get an audience with Hephaestus. She is a good friend of mine. But the weapon or armor you plan to sell must be something she would be interested in. Otherwise, she would no longer entertain you next time, which would not be good for me. But, since you guys are my first Familia, I'm willing to vouch for you!"

Hestia held her chest high. She was being helpful to her new Familia.

Jaune took Arondight and Ascalon from his item box and showed it to Hestia. He said, "How about these swords? Do you think she would be interested in them?"

Hestia made a shocked face while holding her cheeks and swaying back and forth. She said, "That's a magic sword! Are you sure you want to sell them? They are worth a lot but are very useful in the dungeon."

The Arondight and Ascalon Jaune took out were a version from Draconic Deus. He didn't know where that was from, but it was inferior to his other weapons.

Jaune nodded and said, "I'm sure. Although they are magic weapons, they don't hold a candle to the other weapons I have, especially against my five main weapons."

Jaune took out Balmung, Caladbolg, Gungnir, Arondight, Murasame, Lostvayne, and Laevatein to demonstrate.

Hestia couldn't believe what she was looking at. There was a collection of very powerful magic weapons before her. And two of them are considered only for making money.

Hestia said, "Selling the two swords you took out should get you around 200 to 300 million Valis. Assuming they are not the crappy magic swords that would be destroyed after one use."

Jaune was weirded out. He said, "I'm sorry, but did you say there are magic swords that are only a one-time use item?"

Hestia nodded, and Jaune added, "That's crap! Are you telling me that when I need its power, I can only use it once and no more? What happens if monsters surround me and I use the sword's ability? Are you telling me I must fight without a weapon, then?"

Jaune started ranting about how something like that could not be called a magic sword.

Shockingly, Ruby spoke and stopped Jaune, saying, "Okay! I thought I was a weapon nut! I didn't think you were this intense!"

Jaune huffed and said, "I may not be a weapon geek like you, but when it comes to something like a magic weapon or magic item, I'm your guy! Which reminds me. Ruby, do you want to do some upgrades for Crescent Rose."

That got Ruby's attention. She said, "I'm listening."

Jaune said, "I can add special effects on weapons using magic stones. For example, I can add a blaze effect. Every time you swing your scythe, it would be coated in flames."

There were stars in Ruby's eyes. They were sparking like the midnight sky. She said, "Will you? Will you? Will you?"

Jaune said with a smile, "Of course! I did offer."

Ruby asked with ungodly energy, "What kind of effects can you give Crescent Rose?"

Jaune said, "As I said earlier, I can give it the ability to be coated in flames as you swing your scythe. I can also add a return function so that if you toss Crescent Rose, you can summon it back to you. I can also make it so only you can wield Crescent Rose."

Hearing Jaune's words made Ruby feel hot under. She had this feeling of jumping him. But there were too many people. Therefore, she settles with a deep passionate kiss.

Hestia covered her eyes with her hands, but there were gaps she could peek through. It was so steamy the way they kissed. Yang had to pull Ruby away before things got out of hand.

Hestia said, "When are you planning to visit Hephaestus?" she wanted to get back on topic and forget about what she saw.

Jaune said, "As soon as possible."

Hestia stood up and pulled Jaune toward the door, saying, "If that's the case, we can go now! I know where she lives! If I speak to the guard, I can ask them to pass a message to Hephaestus. She should be willing to entertain us. If that fails, we can barge in, like I always do!"

Jaune found his Goddess quite entertaining. She was pretty fun to be with. In the beginning, he thought the Goddess that was recommended to him would be uptight because, well, because it was a Goddess. Yet, here she is, Goddess Hestia. She was pretty childish and fantastic to be around, especially when She was making those hilarious expressions when his skills and titles were shown.

Jaune thought, 'I wonder what that was about earlier? Something about a Loki. And something about being better than her Familia. Does Hestia have a rivalry with this Loki person? Or God/Goddess?'

Hestia spoke, saying, "We're here! Give me a moment and speak to the guard."

Hestia headed by the door and called the guards, and gave them a message to give to Hephaestus. Less than a minute later, the guard ran in their direction, bowing to Hestia and bringing them into Hephaestus' office.

Jaune was surprised, "That was fast."

Hestia, holding her chest high, said, "Of course! Hephaestus and I are besties! We've known each other for a long time. I must warn you, though, do not stare at her eye patch. She is quite sensitive about it."

Jaune asked, "Is something wrong with her eye?"

Hestia nodded, "Out of jealousy from a Goddess from Heaven because of Hephaestus' beauty, she used a very rare curse that deformed Hephaestus' eye. Many Gods and Goddesses have tried to remove the curse, but it failed every time."

Jaune said, "That's horrible. Seriously? Just because someone is beautiful, they would deform other people's beauty? That's just sick!"

Hestia nodded in agreement, saying, "Although Hephaestus got over it, there are times when people stare at it for too long. She would get insecure about it and lash out. Just keep that in mind."

Since Hephaestus was Hestia's best friend, Jaune was thinking of a way to help her with her problem. There are two ways he thought of. One, he could use the [Complete Recovery Herb]. Or two, he could use [Absolute Calculation] to destroy the curse.

The first problem is that [Complete Recovery Herb]'s description never mentioned curses. Therefore, it might not work, and he would waste one. Although, he could spare to waste a few since he had unlimited amounts of it thanks to his [Dimensional Farm].

As for the second problem, Jaune was still determining if he could dispel the curse that Gods and Goddesses failed to dispel. Would he, a mortal, be able to dispel such a curse? He didn't know, but it was worth a shot.

As Jaune was thinking, he heard Hestia say, "Hepha! It has been a while!"

The woman, Hephaestus, looked at Hestia with a friendly look, saying, "Oh? But it hasn't been long since I kicked you out."

Hestia pouted at Hephaestus and said, "I'm still annoyed at you for doing that. But, I understand it needed to be done since I did not give effort to forming my Familia and just smooched off of you."

Hephaestus said, "What brings you here? Don't tell me you are quitting forming your Familia."

Hestia gave a proud smile, saying, "He-he! Behold! One of nine new members of my Familia!"

Hephaestus looked at Jaune, and she saw a guy with fox ears. She said, "Oh? You could lure a fox Demi-Human to be part of your Familia. I'm impressed. They are said to be quite cautious people."

Hestia looked confused and said, "Jaune is not a Demi-Human. He is Human. A hundred percent human."

Hephaestus laughed hard. She said, "Come on, Hestia. Who are you kidding? The guy has visible fox ears. There is no way he is human. Besides, it is said that they are great hunters. For a first Familia member, that is not bad."

Hestia said, "Trust me, I know what Jaune is capable of. He doesn't look human, but he is. He only looks like that because he uses one of his magic called [Beast Takeover]."

Hephaestus looked at Jaune and saw him staring at her eye intently. She said, "Is there something interesting in my eye?"

Jaune continued to look while muttering, "Hmm…I think it's possible to get rid of it."

Hephaestus did not hear what Jaune said. So, she said, "Did you hear me? I asked, is there something interesting that you keep staring into my eye."

Jaune, still thinking, mutters, "I think I can remove it. It's possible."

Hephaestus said as she shook Jaune, "What did you say?"

This got Jaune out of his trance. He said, "I think I should be able to get rid of the curse on your eye. I've been analyzing it since the moment I came here."

Hephaestus laughed hard. It had been so long since she heard someone say they could remove her curse. She stopped looking for a way to heal it a long time ago. She said, "That's hilarious. I haven't laughed like that in so long. Sorry to tell you this, but it is impossible. Other Gods and Goddesses have failed to remove it. It's impossible for mere mortal magic to dispel it."

Jaune smirked and said, "Wanna make a bet?"

Hephaestus was amused. She said, "Sure, why not. What are the terms?"

Jaune nodded, took out Arondight and Ascalon, and said, "If I can't dispel it, then I will give these two swords to you."

Hephaestus looked at the swords and was shocked someone was willing to be such items to a fool's bet. However, she was not the one losing. She said, "If you win, what do you want?"

Thinking momentarily, Jaune said, "You are the Goddess of Blacksmithing. How about you become my teacher at the craft?"

Hephaestus said, "I'll take your bet! How long are we going to set the term for this bet? I can't leave it as indefinite."

Jaune said, "We will do it right now. It is my loss if I fail here and now, and the swords are yours."

Hephaestus said, "You are a funny guy. I hope you won't do anything that would harm Hestia. She is someone I care about immensely."

Hestia pulled Jaune away and said, "Jaune! What were you thinking? I told you, you shouldn't stare at her eye patch!"

Jaune said, "I know, but I thought I would do something nice for her since she is your friend. Can you trust me on this?"

Hestia thought for a moment and said, "Hmm…We only technically met today. I don't know. My gut tells me to trust you. So I will trust you."

Jaune nodded at Hestia and approached Hephaestus, saying, "Let's begin."

Hephaestus looked at Jaune, curious about what the man would do. She saw his eye glow golden. His eyes it was as if it was looking at her very being. She was being self-conscious and covered her body with her arms. She was, for unknown reasons, feeling shy. It was then she saw Jaune smiling.

Jaune said to her, "I can do it! It is indeed possible! But, my magic is currently limited."

Hephaestus said, "If that's the case, it is your loss."

Jaune shook his head and said, "I plan to remove it now."

Hephaestus was confused, "You said your magic is not enough. How are you going to solve that issue now?"

Jaune said, "I already have the required magic reserve. I have to loosen my seal."

Hestia said, "Seal?"

Jaune said, "Did my status not mention a seal?"

Hestia shook her head, and he added, "I have something called a [Loop of Binding]. It suppresses my stats to a very low point. If I release ten percent of my stats, I should be able to get rid of the curse."

Hestia and Hephaestus were confused. Why would a Human have a seal on them?

On top of Jaune's forehead, a white crown appeared. They felt it. The surge of power coming from Jaune. It was overwhelming. It was not something that even the strongest of the Hera and Zeus Familia could produce.

Hephaestus said, "Hestia, I think you lured in a monster! What kind of pressure is this?"

On the other hand, Hestia was smirking, thinking, 'Take that Loki! I was able to get a very powerful person to my Familia! Your Sword Princess has nothing on Jaune!'

Jaune said, "Let's begin."

[Absolute Calculation] started to formulize the curse. It took much magical power, but Jaune did it. He destroyed the curse.

Hephaestus looked in the mirror and saw that the curse was gone. She said to Jaune, "It's your victory. Since I lost the bet, I'll personally teach you blacksmithing."

She was happy that the curse was gone. However, the damage has already been done. There was no way to reverse it. She put on a front smile, but on the inside, she was devastated. As it turns out, even with the curse gone, her face would no longer return to normal. She was on the verge of tears but stopped herself since she did not want to look pathetic in front of her best friend.

As Hephaestus spoke, Jaune brought out a [Complete Recovery Herb] and gave it to Hephaestus. He said, "Eat it. It should help."

Hephaestus was smiling at Jaune. He has done something no Gods or Goddesses were able to accomplish. That was enough. Looking at the herb given to her, she looked at Jaune, who gestured for her to eat it. So, she did. However, upon doing so, she felt her face throbbing. Clutching it, she looked at the mirror and saw something she thought she would never see again.

Hephaestus dashed to Jaune and clutched his shoulder, saying, "Is this real? Please tell me this is not an illusion because if it is…"

Jaune shook his head with a smile, saying, "I promise you, this is not an illusion. And an Arc never goes back on his words."

Hephaestus is a strong woman. A Goddess that never bowed down to anyone or any hardship she needed to endure is crying in Jaune's chest as she clutched onto him.
