Looking at what he got, Jaune was impressed with the rewards. He had a weird thought. He wanted more of these challenges, but the voice explained.
[Beep! Challenges are only available when you reach a particular area or point in a world's story. Here, you reached the 30th floor, which has a significant meaning in the future. Challenges are hard to come by. Not even with luck would you be able to trigger it]
Jaune clicked his tongue and said, "Tsk! That sucks! The rewards are so amazing!"
Sighing, Jaune was done for today. He was only here to scout to ensure everything would go smoothly for the others. He would guide them into the dungeon tomorrow and give them a map, but he would not join them. Instead, Jaune plans to study blacksmithing with Hephaestus and learn everything he can.
Jaune said, "They have a big day ahead of them tomorrow. With preparations done, there should be no accidents. I even placed safe spots for them and listed them on the map I'll give them tomorrow. This should be able to help them grow faster."
As Jaune was about to [Teleport] out of the dungeon, he heard the voice say.
[Beep! Warning! There seemed to be an anomaly with the Beast of the Rift! Its speed of devouring is faster than anticipated!]
[Beep! Searching counter for the increase! Searching…Searching…Searching…]
Jaune was starting to panic as well. There were 99 worlds before it would be Remnant's turn, but now, he did not know as the voice only said it was devouring faster than before.
[Beep! The counter has been found! A way to rapidly increase the strength of the host has been found! Please make haste and open the door to the world #BoG – 012417. Further instructions will be given when the user has arrived in the recommended world]
Without hesitation, Jaune teleported out of the dungeon and into the mansion of Hestia Familia. Rather than entering the mansion, he used the main door as a portal. Whatever the world he was entering, he didn't care. Whatever he needed to do to get stronger faster, he would do it. Saving his world is far too important to him. He may be able to relocate his family, but that was the world he was born in; he would rather die than abandon it.
Upon arriving at the other side of the door, Jaune saw a destroyed world. The word Remnant would be a fitting name for this world. Seeing this, Jaune was unnerved. He activated his [Beast Takeover] as a precaution.
Jaune looking around, said, "What happened to this world?"
[Beep! This is one of the worlds that the Beast of the Rift has devoured. This will be the result of your world if you are not strong enough to stop it. Luckily for you, the Beast of the Rift targeting your world is nothing more than a juvenile one. Otherwise, you would have been long gone]
Jaune had a sour expression, "Bullshit! There are more of those things!"
[Beep! As explained, the one targeting you is only juvenile. Of course, there would be the adolescent and adult versions. So, please, get stronger faster]
Jaune then had a very concerning thought. He said, "Hold on! If that thing is a juvenile, that would mean it has parents. When I kill that thing, the adults would come after me! How would I be able to handle them!"
[Beep! Get stronger than them. The counter that I have calculated and found should be able to help you get stronger exponentially. Please, follow the direction from your map. Further details will be given when the current objective is completed]
Jaune nodded his head and followed the direction. Navigating the area took much work as there were nothing but rubbles. Even when Jaune flew, the floating rubbles were a hindrance. Nonetheless, he made haste to find the place the voice had given him.
It took Jaune an hour before he arrived at his destination. He found a dead body of a young man with a slim figure, black hair, and brown eyes. Using [Analyze], he discovered the person's name, Fate Graphite.
Jaune said, "This guy is younger than me…Voice! What do you want me to do?"
[Beep! Use the [Blank Card] you received earlier and copy his skill [Gluttony]. It is very powerful as it lets you absorb the stats of anything you kill and make it your own. This way, even if you don't level up, you'd be increasing your stats exponentially]
Using his [Analyze] skill, Jaune read the description of [Gluttony].
[Gluttony: A Mortal Sin skill with the ability to steal the skills and stats of a being by consuming its soul. But in exchange for this, the user suffers from uncontrollable hunger, and the only way to ease the pain is to have a constant supply of souls to feed it and never gain any experience level.
Drawback: Once the Gluttony skill knows the taste of Souls, there is no turning back. The more you eat, the stronger you'll get so that you may consume more. And the more you eat, the more you'll want to eat. The user will starve to death and lose sanity when the hunger has reached its limit, causing the user's eye to turn red, and an unsettled aura will emit from the body.
Drawback: If the user defeats a high form of monster [Unique Monster] or stronger enemy, it will activate something worse than the starvation mode, giving the user a delightness for madness and urge to kill]
Jaune thought momentarily and said, "That's quite balanced if you think about it. Sure, you could get stronger very quickly, but you must be careful since you may accidentally turn yourself into a demon who knows nothing but hunger for souls. However, I won't have that problem!"
With a smile, Jaune took out a blank card and copied the skill [Gluttony] without care. Why? Because any skills or abilities that the [Blank Card] copies, it would not carry over its drawbacks.
[Beep! Please, user, grab the weapon on the corpse's body. It would be a valuable tool for you]
Jaune took hold of the sword in the young man's hand and heard the voice say.
[Beep! The consciousness of the weapon has been eliminated]
Jaune was shocked at what the voice did.
[Beep! All objectives have been achieved. Rewards would be given for a timely completion]

Jaune was nodding at his rewards, which he did not even anticipate. However, his smile disappeared when the voice announced.
[Beep! Warning! Warning! Warning! Miscalculation! Leave this dimension right away! The Beast of the Rift is in the vicinity!]
Jaune looked around and searched for a door. Without one, he would not be able to leave. This was the drawback of this skill, and a door was needed to access the ability. As he searched, he heard a roar. Looking in that direction, he saw something moving at high speed toward him. It was grotesque looking, with many tentacles all over its body.
Jaune shouted, "Fuck! Where is a door when you need one!"
His instinct told him to jump away, and he did. The area he was standing on exploded as the Beast of the Rift smashed through it. Activating his [Wings of Wind], he flew as far away as possible while activating [Extreme Concealment].
Once again, Jaunes instinct is telling him to move, but it is too late this time. He was hit with one of the Beast of the Rift's tentacles, sending him flying as he smashed through everything in his path. Luckily, he recently got the [High-Speed Regeneration] though his body was hurting.
Jaune got up and said, "Oum, damn it! That was only a graze from it, and it nearly killed me! I released 30% of the seal and activated Senjutsu, but it did nothing to protect me from a near-fatal blow!"
The Beast of the Rift was looking around for Jaune. The beast was unhappy when Jaune activated the [Extreme Concealment] and started thrashing about. It got lucky and hit him.
Flying away from the beast, Jaune continued to look for a door. He needs it now before the thing kills him. Luckily, he was able to find a door. It was nearly destroyed, but it would do. He grabbed the doorknob and entered through it, returning to Orario.
Upon being safe, Jaune said, "Oh! My body hurts like shit! Huh?" He realized something. He was gone for a while now, and the others should have been back, but no one was there when he entered the door.
Jaune said, "That's weird. I was gone for a while, but they are still not back. It should be close to midnight."
[Beep! When you enter another world, the previous world will be frozen in time, or if you desire, time will slow down]
Jaune was happy, saying, "Seriously! Does that mean I am not missing anything on Remnant?"
[Beep! Correct]
Jaune was exhausted. He nearly died at the hands…? At the tentacles of the Beast of the Rift. He headed to his room and decided to sleep. He was sure the others were capable of making their food tonight.
