Vermond's gaming parlor, which was named "FunLand" with a big garish sign up top the building that flashed with bright green and red colors. The building itself resembled a striped patterned tent, but was actually made of brick. Inside was a bunch of arcade machines that beeped aloud with game demos. And as for Vermond, he was a Flamigo who wore a top hat way too big for his own good. He stood in front of his parlor pacing and waiting for the arrival of the teams.

And within a few more minutes they arrived, with Team Hero leading ahead while Team Buster trailed behind.

Vermond happily tapped his feet, "Oh happy day!" He quickly walked up to the Chespin and bowed, "To whom do I owe the honor!"

Chester opened his mouth to respond, but was pushed aside by an impatient Samuel, "What's the problem?" He asked. Him asking that was a formality, and clearly one he didn't enjoy.

Vermond looked offended, but tried to remain positive in his tone. "Well as I've explained in the request, there's these dreadful Pokémon taking up space in my basement. They're chewing on all my spare parts and-" He brought one of his wings to his forehead, "Oh just get rid of them! I don't care how!"

Samuel nodded, "Come on, Ferdand." His ally nodded back and followed him into the building.

Chester breathed out a sigh of frustration. He and Row went along inside to join the abrasive team. After winding through rows of machines to a door that lead to the back. Further in there was a door leading to a set of stairs that lead downwards. Team Buster were already heading down with Team Hero watching from above.

"Jeez, and I thought I was eager." Chester said, looking over at his friend.

"Hope the other teams aren't like this." Row replied.

Row lead down the stairs to meet up with the other team. They were already at the bottom waiting for them, looking out towards the big mostly empty basement. There were some machines put aside, tables, and a whole plastic apple the size of a Snorlax sitting in the corner. But there were no Rattatas in sight. Samuel let out a groan, "Where are they?"

Row walked past him to the middle of the basement, with Chester joining. They looked around, scanning the area. Chester shook his head, "Nothing. Wherever they are, they've hidden themselves good."

Row then sensed an emotion, or rather several emotions. All angry about something. "I can feel a lot of angry Pokémon right now..." He said.

"So they are here and haven't left then." Chester nodded, "When you say angry, do you mean like 'I dropped my sandwich' angry or..."

Row wondered, "More like, 'Get out of here' angry."

"Oooh, in that case-" He suddenly jumped up and down, "Hey look at me! I'm here and not leaving! Bet you guys wanna come beat me up!"

The confirmation his taunting was working came in the form of violent screeching from the walls, as a bunch of Rattata burst out of the walls. A pack of six to be specific. One lunged right at Chester, who responded with a jab forwards, landing it square in the Rattata's face. It went down with a squeak and was out like a light. The rest of the Rattatas circled the two, ignoring the other two still standing by the stairs.

Samuel tried to rush in, but was held back by his partner. "Hold on, let 'em fight. It's their first day after all." He said.

Samuel growled, but stood back anyways to watch the fight unfold.

After circling, a Rattata charged forwards at Row. The Ralts reacted by sidestepping the attacking mon, allowing it to fly into a prepared Chespin who knocked it into the ceiling. It impacted with a massive thud before falling to the ground, right on top of the previously defeated Rattata. Now there were four and they were getting even more enraged. Two decided to tackle Row at the same time, knocking him back hard into the apple, leaving a Ralts shaped indent. The remaining pair managed to get in two good chomps onto Chester's legs making him squeal.

Row groaned as he pulled himself from the fake fruit. The Rattata attacking him were dashing forwards for another tackle. The Ralts groaned as he rubbed his sore back, wondering how to react. He quickly thought of something, and put it into action by sidestepping the attacking Pokemon and causing them to tackle headfirst into the large apple. With them momentarily stunned, he delivered an icy punch to the both of them and leaving them knocked out and with icicles forming on their heads.

Chester grabbed hold of one of the Rattata biting him and tossed it aside, leaving only one chewing on his leg. Slowly, he reeled his leg as back as it could go before kicking it forwards with enough force to launch the biting Pokemon into the ceiling. It slammed against it and fell to the ground out like a light.

Now there was only one Rattata left. Chester smugly grinned as he watched it stare back at him with absolute fury. His grin disappeared instantly when it proceeded to let out an ear shattering screech, causing him to cover his ears in pain.

*THOOM THOOM THOOM*

The sound of massive footsteps were heard approaching. The wall behind the Rattata cracked and crumbled before exploding, revealing an monstrously huge Ratticate. It stomped out from the rubble, creating the image of a small Rattata with a massive Ratticate backing it up.

"O-Oh, hello." Chester said, taking his hands off his ears. He gulped nervously as he stared point blank at the beast before him. From his side, Row came limping in with his jaw agape.

"So, a Krokorok? Sure. That?" He pointed, "I don't think we can handle that right now."

"Then let me."

With a flash and a sparkle, the double trouble before them went from staring with intense anger to completely white-eyed as they both fell over unconscious. Standing in front of them was Samuel with his arms crossed and his back turned to Team Hero. It was as if he had appeared out of thin air.

Chester gasped, "Woah! That was awesome!"

Samuel chuckled, "Naturally." He casually walked past the two, giving them a passive wave gesture to... look cool? Honestly it just looked like he was trying to brush hair that wasn't there.

"Now come on." He said, going up the stairs with Ferdand, "Mission Complete."

Chester sighed, looking down at his arm as he flexed it. "...I really do have a long way to go don't I?"

Row patted him on the back, "You'll get there bud."

Chester responded in kind, only Row's was still sore. Cue a minor yelp of pain from the Ralts, followed by a very jovial apology.

And so Team Hero ascended, a job well done. Save for the damages to the basement... Hope that didn't lose too many marks.
