Chapter:26 A Stroll in the Forest

'Where am I?'

Green opens her eyes as she saw that she was in a cold wasteland and she was standing by a giant tall wall.

'Why am I in Mantle?!'

Green looked around frantically and noticed that she looks like a small child. She wore a black dress, a pair of white gloves, and a pair of white shoes.

'What is going on!?'

SCREEECH!

She then look up and she watches in horror as a black, white and green blur descends upon her.

"AHHHH!"

"AHHHH!" Green screamed in fright as she sits up from her bed, sweating and her eyes filled with fear.

She looked around and saw that she was still in Beacon, she slowly calms down and noticed Yellow sleeping on Red's bed with her boyfriend and Sabrina.

Yellow was looking at her very tired as she was rubbing her eyes.

"Are you okay?" Yellow asked, she was tired but she was still worried for her teammate.

Green just smiles, trying to hide her fears, and said, "I'm fine, it's just a random nightmare. You can go back to sleep."

Yellow was a bit hesitant and reluctantly went back to sleep, quickly embracing Red while Sabrina trying to hog the only guy on bed to herself and Red just grunting in annoyance.

Green then let out a sigh as she look up at the ceiling, a look of uneasiness on her face as she really can't sleep at all. She just try to let herself sleep by closing her eyes and just waited.

Unbeknownst to her, Blue was listening when he heard her scream and he was really worried for her. He doesn't what her problem is and couldn't think of anything to help.

He would just think of it tomorrow, he was a bit groggy and still needed some sleep.

In the next early morning, Team RABG, RWBY, and JNPR are currently on the Bullhead hangar as they waited for Professor Port.

Most of them are ready for their mission while some didn't get enough sleep and looked lile they were about to fall off.

"So how is your sleep Red?" Jaune asked as he have a cup of coffee with him. He and the boys are standing with each other while the girls have their own group.

The cap wearing leader is somewhat tired but he is clearly wide awake.

"I did get enough but the girls would sometimes wake me up when they try to pull me away from each other," Red simply said as he let out a small yawn.

"So a rough time?" Ren asked.

"That's a definite yes," Blue said as he also sometimes woken up by Yellow and Sabrina trying to take away Red from one another.

Then he looked to Green as the brunette happily chat with the rest of the girls and he was worried about everything happening that night.

What could've shook her so bad that it terrifies her so much and why did this happen now? It has been months now and she haven't said anything about it.

"Ah! Good morning students!" Everyone then paid attention as Professor Port finally came with his own weapon and supplies with Lieutenant Surge right behind him. "I see you arrived early, such dedication that you are showing. I hope all of you are ready for this mission."

Everyone then nods as Port let out a boisterous laugh while Surge took a step forward and faced all of the teens.

"Alright you maggots!" He shouted to them. "Get your stuff ready in the Bullhead! We'll be going ahead of schedule! Make sure to have everything every before we leave!"

Everyone quickly grabbed all of the necessary stuff that they needed and placed them all in a Bullhead that they will be using. Food, supplies, and camping gear are being stored inside it one by one as everyone had to help each other putting all of them safely.

When Blue went to take a tent, he looked towards something and scoffed before leaving to put the tent into the Bullhead.

A few minutes later, all three teams, their teacher and Team RABG's guardians are now in the air in their Bullhead as they now head for the Emerald Forest to do their task. Everyone on board are sitting down while Blue began to check all of their supplies.

"I am so excited! I really appreciate for letting us join again," Ruby said.

"Yeah! Let's smash some Grimm skulls!" Nora happily pump her fists into the air while Red let's out a chuckle.

"Well we couldn't have this if it wasn't for Blue for picking one and Professor Port giving us this mission," He said as Blue keeps checking and Port let out a jolly laugh.

"You are such a humble young man Mister Ketchum, just like your grandmother back in the good old days," Port said as Red seems to bright up from this.

"Still, this going to be awesome," Yang said as she put her hands behind her hand with a wide smile on her face.

"Well..." Blue said as he faced her. "It would be awesome if you didn't bring this along."

Blue then showed everyone a case of alcohol that he found before and now found with the rest of their supplies.

Yang looked pale as her sister, Weiss, Pyrrha, and Red glares at her.

In the air, the door of the Bullhead opens up and the case of alcohol was thrown overboard before blowing up in a small red cloud with nothing left of it.

The Bullhead was now landing onto the forest bed as the group began to remove all of their stuff inside it before it leaves all of them in their mission.

The three teams immediately went up to set up the tents while the two adults went out to scout the area.

"So how many of these control centers that needs to be fixed?" Green asked as she was setting up another tent with Blue, Blake, and Jaune.

"There are exactly five of them that we need to protect while Professor Port fixes them. Ever since the Breach, there are a lot of Grimms in these woods," Blue said as he and the others began to pull on the rope to raise the tent up.

"So we are going to expect a lot of attacks on every side," Blake said as she and everyone began to tie the tent down. "Having these much Grimms in one place would be very difficult if we didn't have this many people."

"So we just need to watch our backs and put everyone on different positions," Jaune said.

"Game logic?" Blue asked the blonde.

"Game logic," Jaune said as the two did a fist bump while Green just laugh at this while Blake rolled her eyes.

With Ruby, she was organizing the supplies with Yang, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren.

"This is going to be exciting," Ruby said with a bright smile on her face as she was carrying a box of strawberries.

"Calm down Rubes, we are still setting things up and you better not eat all of those strawberries," Yang said as she was carrying a bundle of sticks and her little sister pouts. Then a frown appeared on her face.

"Still sad about the alcohol?" Ren asked as he was carrying a large pot filled with the food that they need to heat up first so they could eat it.

"Yeah! That was a waste of perfectly good booze," Yang said, clearly annoyed.

"Yang, we don't need alcohol in a mission. We don't want to get a hangover when we are surrounded by Grimms," Pyrrha reprimanded the blonde girl.

"It isn't even that strong. Just a little buzz but not enough to get a hangover," Yang defended herself.

"It's still alcohol Yang and we need to be serious about this," Pyrrha rebutted.

"Jeez, can a girl have some fun?" Yang asked.

"You know that Professor Port is here right?" Ren reminded her. "He might have told this to Miss Goodwitch if she ever heard of this."

Yang shivers and said, "You got me there."

The four kept quiet as they continued organizing their supplies till Ruby speaks up.

"So any more stories about Red and Blue?" The young girl asked the redhead spartan.

"Well..." Pyrrha began to think of one then finally picked one she remembered. "I could only remember one but it is still hilarious."

"Ooo~ That sounds interesting," Yang said as she and Ruby went up to the same pace as the spartan while Ren kept doing his job while still listening in. "What is it about?"

"Well..." Pyrrha then smiled as she told them about it. "It was during Red's 14th birthday and we were just waiting for Blue to get him into his house for a surprise party but..."

"But?" Yang really wanted to hear this as Ruby listened closely.

Pyrrha began to laugh and said, "One of our juniors decided to prank Red with the old classic glue and feathers but Blue was also hit in the crossfire. The junior even had a t-shirt gun that shoots out a paper cone and a single red rubber glove that only hit Blue and made him look like a giant chicken."

The sisters snickers at this while Ren was amused by this.

"But that's not all," Pyrrha said as she couldn't help but laugh as well. "Blue tried to chase him but he was still attached to Red and had to drag him around while our junior began to run and everyone in the party laughs from it."

The two sisters couldn't help it anymore as they laugh out loudly while Ren just cracks a smile.

"So what happened after that?" Ruby asked as she calms down a bit.

"Well we manage to get the two of each other but took a while because of the amount of glue, but we continue to party while our pranking junior was sent to the time out corner."

The sisters laugh a bit more before continuing there duties alongside the two members of their sister team.

With Red... he is in another situation again.

"Now this is just stupid," Red grumbles as he was hiding behind a rock

In front of him are Yellow and Sabrina roughhousing, he knows he could call out the Psychic of this but knew better than to anger a woman even more, so he just stays back and waited because they were near the supplies they needed for their weapons and very volatile Fire Dust.

Yeah he needed to do something. FAST!

'What to do?! What to do?!' Red began to think hastily as the two girl continued fighting. They almost reach the volatile substances till he got an idea. 'Please forgive me Yellow, I promise that I will let you decide what to do with me, I really need to do this.'

"Hey Sabrina! I will let you have another kiss! Just stop fighting Yellow!" Red called out to the two as they immediately stop when they heard this.

Sabrina looked really gleeful while Yellow just glared at Red, who was looking at her apologetically, but couldn't help but forgive him since she noticed the Fire Dust that they might have triggered along with custom grenades that Nora needed. Like wow, they almost blew up almost half of their weapon supplies.

The three then went to carry all of their supplies as Sabrina happily skips ahead the two while Red and Yellow walked side by side.

"I am really getting tired of this," Red said as he was carrying a box of empty glass vials while Yellow is carrying a box of sniper and shotgun ammo.

"Why can't you just tell her to stop?" Yellow asked.

Red let out a sigh and said, "I just really can't. Believe me, after everything that happened between us, it is hard to avoid her and telling her stop would just make it harder. And I... I don't have the guts to tell her that."

Yellow look at Red and realized something but kept quiet about it as he saw the solemn look on his face.

It was now lunch time as the two adults came back to eat with everyone else. They were all eating some fish stew and Blake was already on her 4th serving while everyone were still on their first.

"Woah kitty cat! Slow down," Yang said to her feline companion but the Faunus simply ignored her while she enjoys her fishy delight.

"Yeah I think that's enough for her," Blue said as he, Red, Jaune, Surge and Yellow have just finished theirs and they went to take another serving.

Blake already finished another and was about to get another before letting out a frightened yelp as a massive shield blocked her.

"Don't even think about it," Green said in annoyance as she also finished and took another serving. Blake just grumbles as she placed down her bowl and crossed her arms in annoyance, which is quite funny for everyone to see how stingy the older Faunus was.

"Ah. Just like the good old days, it reminds of the time-" Professor Port then went on in his legendary rambling while the others continued eating and ignoring the elderly man's tale.

"So how has it been since the past weeks?" Red asked his fellow leaders.

"We have been training for the festival and we manage to create more team moves," Ruby said as she took another bite of her stew.

"Yeah, our moves are pretty wicked," Yang said with a smile on her face.

"Maybe we could do the same," Jaune said to his team.

"That could be very cool," Nora said in excitement.

"It can be exciting," Pyrrha said while Ren nods in agreement.

"We should do some as well," Green said to her team as they also agreed with it.

"How about your team Jaune?" Red asked the younger male blonde.

"We only managed to get used working in a single group, we have a lot of back up plans if our defense ever breaches. I even train more with my weapon," Jaune said.

"Speaking of weapons, we haven't really known the names of them," Ruby said as her and Jaune's team look at Team RABG.

"Now that you mentioned it, I guess we haven't told of it because you didn't asked," Yellow asked.

"Hey Pyrrha, you've known Red and Blue for a long time. Do you know the name of their weapons?" Nora asked the redhead spartan.

"I don't think I should be the one saying it, they should have the honor of doing it," Pyrrha said as she gestured to both Red and Blue.

"Well if you really want to know," Red said as he then let his weapon form on his arms. Blue brandished his weapon, Green grabbing the handle of her weapon while Yellow brought out hers.

"These bad boys are Solis Radium, and power and mobility are their thing," Red said as his weapon turn back to its knuckle-duster form.

It was then Blue's turn as his weapon turn its gun form, "Mine is called Spitfire. Precision is its specialty."

"Mine is called Hülse," Green said as she took her turn and stabbed the ground with her sword. "It can be a sword, a shield, and even a glider in a some situations. I even got myself a new gun that I named Druck."

Lastly, it was now Yellow's turn as she reeled in the line of her fishing rod.

"Mine is called Angler. It is just a simple fishing rod but I make it work as a weapon," Yellow said as the four of them then return their weapons.

"They are quite unique," Weiss complimented them.

"Why thank you," Green said in appreciation. "But all of our weapons are unique of their own."

"Their history," Ren said as he brought out his own weapon.

"Their purpose," Pyrrha said as she also brought out her own.

"Their value," Jaune then brought out his sword and banner.

"And their power!" Nora happily brought out her weapon over her head.

"I think you meant strength," Ren pointed it out as Nora brushed it off and Team JNPR returned their weapons.

"If you wanted power, then I'm your gal," Yang said as she brought out her own weapon out.

"Please, elegance is more important," Weiss said as she also brought out her weapon.

"No, it's doing it swiftly," Blake said as she also do what the rest did.

"I think you just made everyone show off their weapons," Red said to the younger leader of the trio as Ruby has a bashful look on her face.

Surge then put down his empty bowl as he look to everyone and said, "Alright you damn brats. We need to access our current mission."

All of the teens were then listening to the only serviceman in the group.

"Like Port already said, we have to fix five control centers that is spread across this very forest. We can't really fix all of them in a single day, we can if we aren't getting surrounded, so we must do each separately one or two of them or we could split up with Port telling you what to do with your Scrolls," Surge said

"We already decided to do this in a single unit," Blue said as the lieutenant nods.

"Then we better save up more of our supplies. There would be a lot of Grimms so I prefer all of you only going in close quarters, only use your ammo as a last resort. I'm looking at you Rose," Surge warned everyone as he specifically say the last one while looking at the youngest leader, who was pouting from it. "Now, we will continue setting up camp for today and continue our mission tomorrow."

Everyone then nods as they then continued eating their lunch before continuing setting up their camp.

It was now nighttime as everyone were now sleeping after checking the area around and eating their dinner.

Red had just came back from searching around the campground and was about to enter his assigned tent before it suddenly opened and was dragged into it by an invisible force.

He was soon inside the tent and was immediately embraced by Sabrina before Yellow also embraced him with a bit of a tug. Red just groans as he noticed that the two were actually asleep, he could guess that they felt his presence and tried to take him before the other do.

Red managed to get his arms free from their confines as the two girls just kept their hold on him.

"The things I do for love," He mutters as he gave Yellow a head pat, getting a satisfied twitch from her long yellow ears. He then look at Sabrina as he looked at her with fear, he just lay his head down on his pillow while gazing on the ceiling of the tent.

Suddenly, he began to hear whimpering as he look to see Sabrina quivering in her sleep.

"Don't leave me," He could her whimper those words out as there was clear shame in his eyes, he hesitantly move his arm before embracing the two girls close to him as he continues to look up.

'I'm really sorry,' Red said as he looked up for a while before looking at Sabrina again, he then gave her a kiss on the forehead, which calmed her down a bit.

He then looked back up before he closed his eyes and went to sleep.

And that is it for this chapter. The second chapter for Volume 2.5, better known as RWBY: Grimm Eclipse.

I did this in VTR and was really wonky because I was rushing its production, but I have a more wider schedule so I could properly make this part of the story.

There will be more development here and I will try my best to do it for you guys to enjoy.
