Sorry for the delay. The internet has been becoming really bad here, which is made it very difficult to publish new chapters, and I am pretty occupied thinking of future stories that I would make, but let's cut this short and let's get right into the story.

Chapter:27 The Grimm Strikes
It was now in the middle of the day as Port is currently fixing one of the control centers with the rest scouting the area for Grimms.
Most of them are walking around the perimeter with Ruby, Blue, Green, Sabrina and Surge staying behind to keep an eye on the elderly professor. Blake, Ren and Yellow went to the tree tops as they jump to each large fauna to cover more ground. The rest are on the forest floor in pairs as they carefully move around the large thickets to not alert the Grimms.
Red was paired with Jaune as the two leaders keeps scouting the area with their weapons out.
"This area is also clear," Red said as he look around the area and saw no signs of any Grimms anywhere.
"The others called and they also said the same," Jaune said as he was holding a map with a lot grids crossed out and he was crossing out another.
"Anywhere else we haven't checked?" Red asked.
"We already covered the east, Weiss and Yang are going further out south, Pyrrha and Nora doing the same to the west, so we could further east or go north," Jaune suggested.
"Let's go at least near north, we can't let that place get looked over," Red said as he and Jaune moved out.
They carefully walk pass the thicket as they held on their weapons tightly.
"So..." Jaune wanted to pass some time talking till they reached their destination.
"What do you want to talk about?" Red asked as they continued walking.
"Any reason why you want to keep your singing a secret?" The blonde asked as Red sighs.
"It's not a secret when I already did it in public twice, but... I have another reason not to," Red said as Jaune looks at him.
"Want to talk about it?" Jaune asked as Red shrugs.
"Since we are alone and I do trust you, but please keep your mouth shut. You can be a blabbermouth," Red said as Jaune sheepishly rub the back of his head.
"I'll try."
"Okay here's why," Red said as he soon told Jaune what he told to Yellow. That very incident in Sanctum, his life as a singer, Diantha's kidnapping, Red saving her, then his epiphany over everything.
Jaune was in awe from his tale, especially with the singer part as he began to realize something, but came to understand where Red is coming from. Having siblings do give you a strong attachment to them.
"Do you still sing?" Jaune asked.
"Called time to time but that's just a side gig now," Red said.
"Can I guess your stage name?" Jaune asked.
Red shrugs and said, "Sure."
Jaune began to think while rubbing his chin before he finally got an answer.
"You're Narune Donaru," The blonde said as Red gave him a small round of applause.
"Correct," Red sarcastically said but in a way to complement his fellow leader.
"So that means your sister is Shizuka then, Narune Shizuka," Jaune said as he rub the back of his head. "Man, I guess the fans who ship your personas will be devastated."
"Let them," Red said dryly with an angered look on his face. "I hated the very day someone decided to ship me with my own sister and I would gladly see them cry while I dance over their despair."
Jaune flinches from this but he doesn't blame him. Some people are really adamant with what they want to believe because they like it, despite the two having the same surname.
BOOM!
The two then heard an explosion from the west as they look towards it.
"We need to go," Red said as he and Jaune quickly ran for it.
Weiss and Yang heard this as well as they look at each ither before running for it.
Ren, Blake, and Yellow also heard this as they ran for it.
The rest also heard this as Port hasten his repair on the control center.
"What do we do?" Ruby asked Surge, the only other adult of the group.
"We stay here. We could trust them handling this while we keep this area safe, but we will send someone to check for them if they haven't returned after an hour," Surge said as the others were worried for their friends.

Red and Jaune continued running till they finally heard a lot of bashing, slashing, and roaring as they reached their destination.
There they saw Pyrrha and Nora fighting off a horde of Grimm as the two immediately entered the scene.
Red quickly grappled onto an Ursa and reeled himself in to deliver a devastating kick, he soon wrap his legs around its neck and snaps it before letting it die and ran off to kill more.
Jaune had his new weapon in hand as he charges in with a warcry, pierced the lower jaw of a Beowolf before slamming it on a a Creep. He then get the dead Grimm off his pole arm by flicking it off towards another Beowolf before following Red.
Both Pyrrha and Nora are continuing to fight off the Grimms as the redhead continues to cut down her adversaries with her blade and continues to block their strikes with her shield.
Nora meanwhile, uses her hammer to crush her opponents to smithereens. Smashing different parts of their body to either kill or maim them to get an easier kill.
Soon enough, the four of them were now back to back as more Grimms surrounded them.
"Are you guys alright?" Red asked as he has his arms up.
"Yeah, they almost caught us off guard but we manage to get out of it," Pyrrha said as she held tightly on her weapons.
"Did you saw where they came from?" Jaune asked as he put back his spear and unsheated his own sword and shield.
"They came from the north, but it is strange for a ton of them to suddenly attack us," The redhead said as both leaders thought about it.
"Less talking, more smashing!" Nora called out to them as the Grimms soon began their attack.
Red and Nora soon charge as the both of them began to attack their enemies.
The cap wearing teen destroyed the entire head of a Creep with a single punch to it. Before it could turn to ash, Red grabbed the corpse and threw it to an Ursa as a distraction then fired his grapples behind it so he could deliver a powerful kick to its gut. As the Grimm keeled over, Red delivered a devastating uppercut that broke the Ursa's entire muzzle.
With Nora, the eccentric girl is happily swinging her hammer around as she smashes the head of a Beowolf with a strong right and shatters a Creep with a strong left. A Boarbatusk then charge at her but she delivered a downward swing that leaves the rolling Grimm flat on the ground.
With Jaune and Pyrrha, the two are easily handling their enemies with their backs against each other. They move in perfect sync, their blades killing those that charges at them while they use their shields to protect each other.
(End Music)
As they continued to fight, they could hear explosions nearby and ice came flying out of the forest. Soon both Yang and Weiss entered the scene and helped the four repel the horde.
They soon finish off every Grimm as they pant in exhaustion before looking at each other.
"Where are the others?" Jaune asked, referring to Ren, Blake, and Yellow.
"We just passed them a few minutes ago, they went to warn the others," Weiss said.
"Then we better go back, their attacks are so unnatural that we can't rely on the normal information we have," Red as he and the group quickly head back to join the rest of their squadron.
Port then closed the panel on the control center as he wipe his brow.
"This one is done, we must head out to the next one just a few miles from here," Port said to the group as they immediately gathered around.
"Let's call the others and say that we are moving to the next one," Blue said.
RUSTLE!
Everyone immediately aimed where the rustlingcame from but were relieved that it was just Ren and the two Faunus.
"What happened?" Ruby asked the three.
"Grimm, lots of them," Ren explained to them as they grew worried.
"Red, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Yang and Weiss could easily handle them," Blake said as she looks towards the east. "For now, we must continue our mission."
"You heard her, let's move," Surge said to everyone as they began to move to the next command center but were still worried for their friends.
"So they have completed the first one," Yang said as they just received a message from the others.
"Then let's move, we can meet them there after searching the place," Red said as they immediately moved out.
Unbeknownst to them, something green and glowing prowls in the shadows.
It was in the afternoon as Red's group have just reached the second control center and pushed away the Grimms so the others would arrive and they would easily finish this one as well.
Red just stomped on the head of an Ursa, the remaining Grimm in the area, and looked around to see the others tired.
"That's the last of them, we just need to wait for the others," Jaune said as he stabbed his sword on the ground and sat on a medium sized rock.
"The numbers of Grimm are quite worrying thou," Weiss said as everyone with the heiress.
These attacks are so... unnatural. As if they are being led to attack them no matter what, but why?
"For now, let's keep out the Grimms out of the area, we can't let them hold us back in our mission," Red said.
"Aye aye Captain Red," Yang said as she and everyone began to secure the perimeter with their respective scouting partners.
They scour the area, to check every nook and crannies for any ways the Grimm would attack them.
Red and Jaune checked the area just near enough to their objective while Pyrrha and Nora handled the outer ring while Weiss and Yang handled the inner ring.
"This just became even weirder," Jaune said to Red.
"Yeah, I just can't seem to put a finger on what is causing these Grimms to attack us," Red said.
Suddenly, heard something beneath his shoes as he moved his foot away and saw that it was...
"Scraps?" The cap wearing teen said as he picked the piece of scrap metal that he stepped on.
"What are scraps doing here?" Jaune asked.
"I don't know but I got the feeling that we're going to find out soon," Red said as he and Jaune moved further in the forest for any more clues.
With Surge's group, they had to trek a bit slower to accommodate everyone. Some are giving each other snack and water while some are just chatting along to pass the time.
In the front, Blue is reading the map as he traced where they are to their next destination.
"We're getting closer to the next one," Blue said as he looked towards the hundred of trees that towers over them.
"This just became so surreal," Green said as a minute ago, the three that came back told them of how many Grimms there are and they just couldn't believe something that many would just gather together to attack.
"You have no idea," Blue said as he look back to see the rest catching up a bit after some rest.
"Does this happen often?" She asked her partner as Blue shook his head.
"Only if there's a high concentration of negative energy around here but there's clearly nothing to cause it other than us worrying," He said to the brunette as he began to look around. "Clearly something wrong is happening in this forest and we need to be careful."
"You're gods damn right brat," Surge said as he was also listening to Blue.
RUSTLE!
Everyone yet again aimed their weapons at the source of the rustling but it was just Yang and Weiss.
"Yang!" Ruby shouted in joy as she ran up to her sister.
"Ruby!" Yang did the same and Ruby immediately tackled her.
"We're glad to see you two but where are the rest of your classmates?" Professor Port asked.
"They are near the second control center, we are scouting the area for any signs of Grimm activity," Weiss explained to them.
"Then we better move before some do came," Ren said as the group then continued their trek through the Emerald Forest.
Red and Jaune were still continuing their investigation in the forest as they noticed more pieces of glass in their path along with some pieces of scrap metal.
"This is really getting stranger," Jaune said as they kept following the trail of glass and scrap.
"We're getting close," Red said as he and his leader soon saw a small ruin with strange transparent crates on them.
The two continued their approach as they investigate the crates while checking the area around.
Jaune would then saw an emblem on the crates, a green hexagon with an M on the middle.
"Hey Red!" Jaune called out to the cap wearing teen as Red soon approached the blonde. "Check this out."
Red then look at insignia and was puzzled by it.
"Do you know who could own this?" Jaune asked.
"Don't know but I should take a picture for the Headmaster to see," Red said as he pulled out his Scroll and took pictures of the emblem on the crates.
BOOM!
They quickly turn towards the source of the explosion and realized where it was.
"Let's move," Red said as he and Jaune quickly ran for it.

The others are now fighting off a huge horde of Grimms with Pyrrha and Nora while Port hastily fixes the control center.
"This is ridiculous!" Green yelled as she fired another pressurized water bullet that exploded on impact. She and the others with long ranged weapons continously fire at the Grimms.
"Don't stop now!" Ruby called out to everyone as those who prefer close range went to the front line and fought the Grimms there.
Blue keeps slashing at the Grimms that are charging at him with Yang pummeling one that was charging to his right while Pyrrha decapitated one from his left. Bullets went pass them, killing the Grimms with each shot and giving the front liners the advantage to move forward.
"Nora!" Ren called out to the eccentric girl as he was holding back an Ursa.
Nora then came and smashes the Ursa's head and the two of them continued their charge.
As they continue, Port is halfway done but the horde keeps coming and they were slowly being overwhelmed by the Grimms.
BOOM!
A violent red explosion then appeared on the middle of the horde as Jaune and Red have come out of the forest and helped killing the Grimm by attacking them from behind.
Red whips the Grimm with his grapples while Jaune had his spear out and he twirls it around, hitting and cutting down those who charged at him.
Red then grabbed another vial pocket before throwing it far away from him. Ruby saw this and fired at the vial and caused it to kill more of the Grimms.
"RAAAHHH!" Sabrina then threw a bunch of uprooted trees as it crushed more of the Grimms.
As everyone kept fighting, Red was pummeling a poor Creep till he was tackled off it.
He quickly managed to recover as he was about to attack till he was shocked to what he sees.
It was a Beowolf yet it is not. It had a larger upper body with glowing green spikes on its back, glowing green eyes, and glowing markings around it.
The strange Beowolf then pounce at him as Red quickly rolled away to avoid its strikes. He soon began his assault against it as he continously punch the Grimm while it fails to strike him with its claws. He then put the Grimm in an arm lock as the Grimm struggles to get free before Red finally decides to just snap its neck and let it die on the ground.
Red then look back to see that the horde was no more, everyone began to relax while Port finally returned after fixing the second control center.

Red's team then approached him as they saw the abnormal Grimm disintegrating to ashes.
"What the hell is that?" Green asked as Blue snapped a photo of it before it fully disappears.
"I don't know but we surely going to expect more of them," Blue said as he then look back to see the sun going to set. "Let's head back to camp before it goes dark."
The other three nod as they soon relay this information to the rest and they soon began their trek back to their campsite.
And that is it for this chapter!
I am raising the stakes here now.
The next chapter will be more on the development of the characters and I'm going to do everything to do it.
It has been 3 years now for this story and I'm going to make this story very special till I finally reached the epilogue of this one.
I still do different stories more earlier than this so you guys can have more content while waiting for the next chapters.
