Beep* ( Suki: I guess this is the way I will normally start. )
I turned off my alarm. It was 4 am. I got up from bed and washed up. I changed into my gym clothes and tried opening the window but realized that they were bulletproof so they couldn't be opened. I guess I had to risk it and go out the main door. I quietly opened my bedroom door and walked up the hallway. Then I tiptoed down the stairs. I was walking through the living room when I felt goosebumps and I froze.
???: Y/n?
I turned around and saw Jungkook. He was stared at me with eyebrows raised.
Jungkook: What on earth are you doing? Are you going out?
Y/n: Yes, I'm umm...
I couldn't make up a lie this early in the morning. Even if I was being cold this was as awkward as hell.
Jungkook: Tell the truth.
He said in a serious, cold voice.
Y/n: Fine, I'm sneaking out to the nearest gym.
His head tilted in disbelief.
Jungkook: Your sneaking off to the gym at 4 in the morning.
He said in a disbelieved cold voice.
Y/n: Yes, I usually go to the gym at this time. I had a gym in my mansion back in California and here but I'm not there now.
I said with a straight face.
Jungkook: We have a gym here as well.
He said walking away, I followed him.
Y/n: What are you doing awake this late at night.
I asked him being curious.
Jungkook: Going to do the same thing just not the sneaking part.
He said walking up the stairs. After that there was silence after that and then we stopped infront of a door. He opened it and saw a mini version of a public gym. We both we both started to workout.
And if you are asking how he didn't see my scars. I had hid them with a special powder which hid scars.
As usual, I worked out for two hours and within it all the Kims joined and left. After I finished I sat down to rest for a few minutes. Jungkook was beside me.
Jungkook: We both worked out for two hours but there's a difference, I took a break within it while you kept going on until now.
He said with a bottle in his hand. Then I got up and left to shower. After I showered, I changed into a hoodie out of my 30 in stock with pants and went down with my bag. I saw that the Kims were sitting down to eat.
Kai: Y/n, let's eat.
Y/n: No thanks, I'll eat from outside.
Jisoo: But you'll get fat if you eat from outside to much. Listen to your unnie and eat with us.
I was happy that she excepted me as her sister. So I sat with her and Kai oppa at the table. She put four pancakes and lots of strawberries on my plate. After she looked back, I put three of them back.
Kai: You eat too less, Y/niee...
He said.
Y/n: I've always eaten this much.
Mr Kim: Y/n.
Y/n: Yes?
I looked at him. He was staring at me in concern.
Mr Kim: Your really thin, last time when you wore a turtleneck it was more visible. Do you eat well?
Actually now I was fine but years ago even before Papa died, Mrs Kim use to starve me if I made a mistake when Papa was on his business trips.
Y/n: I've always been like this Mr Kim.
I saw Mrs Kim looking away trying not to catch my eye. Mr Kim somewhat nodded and began to eat. After I finishing, I took my bag and headed out.
Lisa: Where are you going Y/n?
Asked Lisa unnie who was sitting on the sofa.
Y/n: School.
Lisa: But it's too early.
She said checking the time.
Y/n: I'll go to Eomma Ji's shop first.
Kai: Who?
Y/n: The Ajumma who owns the shop down the road.
Lisa: Oh, you know her?
Y/n: Yeah, she's really sweet to me.
Jisoo: The badass Ajumma whose stubborness is as big as the universe?
Jisoo unnie said coming into the living room.
Y/n: That's the one. Anyways I'll get going, bye.
They also said bye and I went out. I drove to her shop at full speed.
Y/n: Hello Eomma!
Jia: You seem to be in a bright mood. What's the cause of this, sunshine?
She said wrapping paper around a sandwich and handing it to me.
Y/n: I have no idea, I just feel happy today.
Jia: And here the new addition to the store boba tea.
She said handing me it.
Y/n: How do you know that I have an obsession for boba tea?
Jia: Remember how much you asked me for it when you were small, I had added to the store the year you left but after knowing about it I removed from stocks.
Y/n: Wait, you added it just for me!
I said surprised. She nodded and I rushed to hug her.
After we broke the hug, I said goodbye and left for school. I had finalyy for once not heard the screaming of the students when I arrived as I was really early. I walked through the hallway to my friends. Once I found them I said hi and pulled D aside.
Y/n: So?
Dong-min: So?
He said cluelessly. I became annoyed.
Y/n: Have you made a move yet?
Dong-min: Umm..kind of..
He raised rubbing his neck.
Y/n: What do you mean by that?
I said sternly. This boy was one of the most confident people you could ever find and he was as nervous as hell currently.
Dong-min: I helped her with her homework and carried her things for her.
I smiled at him.
Y/n: Even though she doesn't need help with her homework really, as she is a genius, good job!
I said patting him on the back. He nervously smiled.
Aera: What time is it?
She asked. I checked the time and told her it was 7 am.
A-jin: We came earlier than usual. Do you guys wanna do something.
Y/n: Have any on ya'll ever been to the vip rooms, cause I haven't?
They shook their heads.
Y/n: Then let's venture them.
I said grabbing So-ra's hand and running there with her. We stopped after a while infront of black door. I opened the door and we walked in. We were all impressed by everything there. There were many places to sit and relax, there was a basketball game and many other stuff. There was even a snack bar.
Tae-sook: We could spend an entire day here.
He said plopping himself onto a sofa.
???: But you will not.
We jumped and turned to the voice. It was Namjoon. I sighed.
Y/n: You gave us the shock of a lifetime.
I said coldly but in an annoyed tone. He stood up from his chair. He had a book in his hands
Y/n: What are even doing here at 7 am?
Namjoon: Your here as well.
He said approaching me. His voice wasn't cold but hard
Y/n: Yes we all come early so we can spend more time.
He stopped infront of a side table and put his book down.
Namjoon: Well then, enjoy but I better not hear from Riki and Jungwon the you weren't in class.
He said strictly.
Y/n: Yes captain!
I said sarcastically and saluting him. He went away afterward.
Eunji: You have a weird relationship with them.
She said from her spot in the hanging chair.
Tae-sook: Yeah, it's like you care for one another but at the same time hate one another.
I turned towards them.
Y/n: I mean yeah I care for them but I'm also cautious if they will hurt me or not.
Aera: They probably feel the same way.
I shrugged. Then Aera stood up after checking her the time on her phone.
Aera: Let's go, we have five minutes till class starts. We went our owm ways as we had seperate classes at this day. I entered the class with the teacher and sat down in the usual only empty seat with Riki.
Riki: You were in the vip room?
Y/n: Let me guess, Namjoon told you?
He nodded.
Riki: What did you talk to that boy about?
I turned to him.
Y/n: Hmm?
Riki: Baby face, you pulled him to the side to talk.
He was talking about Dong-min. He had a baby face.
Y/n: I just asked him if he did his doings yesterday.
Riki: What?
I was starting to get annoyed at his questions.
Y/n: About minding your own business.
I said smiling sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and turned away as the teacher was calling our names.
We were at our lockers taking our books when I saw Mi-young, the toad walking towards us. She was glaring at me in the ugliest way possible.
God, I forgot she existed.
Mi-young: Hey b*tch!
I scoffed. Didn't she have anything better to do?
Y/n: Do I look like a mirror to you?
I stated calmly. She opened her mouth and closed it again. Then she just huffed and gritted her teeth being speechless.
Y/n: Speechless already are you. Tsk! If you wanted to start a fight, you should have come prepared dumbass. You literally shut up after a small snap back, What whould have happened if I continued.
Mi-young: What do you mean by speechless. I'm just staying quiet because I think that your not ready for my roasts.
She said quickly.
Y/n: Oh please, try me.
I scoffed.
Mi-young: You only hang out with your friends and the Kims because your a gold-digging b*tch.
That didn't affect me an inch. But it did trigger the boys. And saw through the corner of my eye that the girls were giving death glares.
Tae-sook: Mi-young, shut up! You don't know a shi-
Tae said with the rest of the boys advancing towards Mi-young with him.
Y/n: It's fine guys, don't make her cry yet, I'm just getting started.
I said with a smirk on my face.
Y/n: If I'm a gold-digging b*tch then what are you? A cake face, a spoiled brat who has nothing to do better then getting into people's busses instead of minding her own shit and a toad face.
I said smoothly smirking.
Mi-young: Oh yeah, you had fake big ugly chest, you two faced b*tch!
She said angrily.
Y/n: And neither of my faces are like yours, make-up plastered. You know what Mi-young, maybe from tomorrow when your busy plastering make up in that pathetic face of yours, you eat your make-up. Maybe it'll help you become pretty on the inside too.
I said laughing out loud with the rest.
Mi-young: You ugly f*ucking b*tch!
I looked up.
Y/n: And I'm sure that 99% of your beauty can be wiped of with bleach.
I said crossing my arms. She stomped her feet.
Mi-young: You fat ass nerd.
I snorted.
Y/n: Thank you for calling me smart darling and being fat can be changed while your b*tchy face can't.
I said tilting my head.
Mi-young: Go to hell b*tch!
Y/n: But honey, that's your home.
I said in a sarcastically sweet voice. While behind me my peeps were laughing their asses off.
Mi-young: Why do you boys always hang out with this loser.
She said pouting like a frog.
A-jin: Cause she's our best friend, our ride or die, she's pretty, intelligent, charming and badass.
Mi-young: But I'm prettier.
I snorted again.
Y/n: I knew babies were dropped on the head but you were clearly thrown against the wall.
I said dramatically sighing.
Mi-young: Your such a b*tch!
I looked at her innocently.
Y/n: You forgot to add bad.
She looked livid.
Mi-young: I hate you!
Y/n: But my middle finger sure loves you.
Mi-young looked red in the face and glared at me, then she stomped her foot and walked away as people started whispering about us.
Ahyeon put an arm around my shoulder. And the rest came closer.
Ahyeon: Gurl, slaaaay!
I smiled at her.
Lisa: Well that's a way to relax during break.
She said walking towards us. Jisoo unnie was with her.
Jisoo: I'm actually glad someone put her in her place, it's hard to handle that toad.
Jisoo unnie said matter-of-factly. Kai oppa came walking behind them with Beomgyu.
Beomgyu: See my sister is the coolest.
I was a little surprised. He smiled at me.
Kai: She's my sister too!
Beomgyu: I know she is.
He said in weirdly calm tone. I just shrugged it off.
It was the end of last period. I grabbed my bag and walked out with the gang. The the Kims walking together with Seo-jun.
Beomgyu: Y/n, arent you coming home now?
He said turning to look at me.
Y/n: No I have work but I'll come back before dinner.
He nodded.
We went out into the parking lot after everyone left. I put my hair up into a bun as it wouldnt get in the way. As usual we wore our masks and lenses and drove to A-jin's old house.
We arrived there. A-jin opened the door and let us in. We seached the place from top to bottom. Ther was a dry aquarium there. I decided to check it. I put it down on the floor and examined it and found a crack at the bottom. I lifted the crack and saw a piece of paper. I opened it and it had 'Jung' written on it.
A-jin had just come out. His had his head down. It was even harder for him because he hadn't his parent for a year before they died. They wanted to see him a few days before he died but he arrived to late. It was a life regret for him.
Y/n: Hey guys, I found another paper.
They quickly came closer to look at it.
So-ra: Jung, Lee Jung...Could it be someone from your family, Y/n?
She said with the paper in her hand.
Y/n: It could be, almost all men born into the family were named Jung and then something at the end.
A-jin: I don't think there's anywhere else to search for here...
His voice a little hoarse. I nodded and got up. We went back out. A-jin locked the door and came down the stairs. I looked at Tae and saw his eyes growing darker every minute.
Y/n: You sure you wanna do this Tae?
I said looking at my cheer up child. He was kind of the life and soul of the group, the most unserious guy you could find. He nodded.
We started driving and after a while stood infront a simple apartment. Ahyeon held one one Tae's hands while I stood behind him. He took a key from the necklace on his neck and unlocked the door. We slowly walked him. Tae nodded to let us touch stuff in the apartment.
Tae-sook: Not that.
He said quietly. I turned and saw him looking at Dong-min who was about to pick up a picture of Nayeon unnie and Tae himself.
Tae-sook: I'll check the pictures, you can see the rest.
We check almost everywhere but nothing could be found. We hadn't checked unnie's room as Tae hadn't gone there.
Tae-sook: Y/n...
He said in a soft voice. I looked at him. He gestured me to come with him. We were going to unnie's room. My heart sank even more. Tae and I both walked in with our hands together. The room as it always had. Covered in down to earth colours. We started looking over everything to find a clue. The opened the wardrobe and saw her clothes.
Y/n: *chuckle* Tae, unnie wore this to her 15th birthday, remember?
He turned around and stared at the dress. He nodded. Then I saw another one. It was a dark blue jacket, it was one the most simple but beautiful clothes she owned.
Tae-sook: I remember you wanting that jacket.
I nodded. She had said that she would give it to me for my 16th birthday.
Tae-sook: I think she'd want you to have that.
I nodded again then something dropped out from one of the pockets. It was a nother piece of paper, maybe the last to the name. Tae and I caught eachother's eye for a second and then picked up the paper. Inside the paper was 'ho' written on it. My Papa's name, Lee Jung ho.
We both went out of the room and showed it to the rest.
Dong-min: Let's go now!
Jae-hyun: But we still have your house to investigate.
Eunji: But we have the entire clue.
Y/n: We still don't know the meaning of the box.
They looked at me. They could tell that I didn't want to go there just yet so we went to Dong-min's parents house. It was stories tall. It would take a long time to search. Dong-min unlocked the door and we got in. Just as he stepped on on the carpet of the hall, something fell from the chandelier. A paper and inside was a drawing of a key.
Everything connected in my mind.
Aera: Y/n, you okay?
I came back to reality.
Y/n: I'm fine unnie, but something just clicked in my mind. That drawing of the box, Ahyeon do you have it?
She took it out of her pocket and gave it to me. And I took the drawing of the key from Dong-min.
Y/n: This box, I remember it now. It was in a room of our old house. And the key...
My hand went to my neck. It had a three keys on it.
Y/n: These are the keys for the door and the box. Papa banned all of from going into that room. But one night he took me into that room and showed me the box. But he never opened it.
I looked at them. I crumbled the paper into my pocket and we rushed out. We all had remembered that the house was broken into once when we were back in California. We drove to the house at full speed. When we arrived it was evening. We all got of and walked to the front door. I took the largest key from my necklace and put it into the keyhole and turned it. It clicked and the door unlocked.
They were about to walk forward when I stopped them.
Y/n: Stop
I said putting my hands infront of them.
Zuko: What's wrong?
He said from behind me.
Y/n: Follow me and do everything I say.
They looked cautious and nodded. I stepped frowards and they did the same. Someone pushed down.
Y/n: Duck!
I said said and everyone bent down. Arrows shot above our heads.
A-jin: Security?
Y/n: Security.
I replied back. I stepped on left side of the hallway. I looked back at them and they nodded. At the end there were two steps left. I looked at both sides of wall and saw holes and the bottom. I stepped on one and it sank slightly.
Y/n: Jump!
And arrows shot beneath our feet. They all sighed. Then they followed me as I walked up the stairs.
Tae-sook: Did Uncle Jung have to put this much security into the house.
He said in a slightly exhausted voice.
Y/n: Yes he did and the system didn't detect the entrance of it's owner for some reason.
Dong-min: What system?
Y/n: Papa had a system made so that when a Lee from the our bloddline enters all security would shut down for us. I'm guessing that since it's been years, it's either rusted or has shut down.
I said shrugging. We stopped infront of a humongous, royal looking door. I took the second key from my necklace and unlocked the door. There was a click sound and the door opened. The room was large. It had a vaste place the size of a huge living room. It was also entirely empty besides a medium sized box in the middle. I walked to it and picked it up.
I took the smallest key from my necklace and unlocked the box. Inside were two pendrives. I turned around to the rest and held up the two pendrives.
Dong-min: I don't have a laptop with me.
Tae-sook: Neither do I
Eunji unnie also shook her head.
Aera: Then we'll have to do it tomorrow.
Y/n: Can't we-
Aera unnie shook her head.
Aera: It's 8:30, if we go back to base now and then try, it'll be midnight and your family will be worried. We can do it tomorrow.
I nodded.
We all headed out and I locked the door. I turned to face them. So-ra had the box with her.
Y/n: Keep the box with you, the Kims will be suspicious if I bring a random box the their house.
A-jin: K, see you tomorrow.
Tae-sook: Bye, sis.
He said as we drove to our own destinations. After a while of driving I arrived at the Kim house. I went in and saw the house empty.
I went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water and saw a not on the table. It said that Mrs Kim had taken my stepsiblings and Yuri out to dinner and that Jake was home as he had a fever.
Then I saw another note from Lisa unnie. She wrote that they wanted to wait for me but Mrs Kim said that I couldn't come as I had work. I guess it was fine for them to go since I wouldn't have gone even if I wasn't busy.
I ate a few biscuits from the snack cupboard and put the oacket back inside.
I went up to my room and changed my clothes. I took my hair out of the bun and wore a headband. I took my phone and headed down stairs. I was walking towards the stairs when I heard a cough. I turned around to see no one. I saw that the door to my left was open so I peeked inside and saw Jake.
I forgot that the guy had a fever. He was coughing non-stop. And as a medical student, I rushed to help him. I got him a warm glass of water and a pill to lessen the cough.
He instantly took it and drank the water. He sighed.
Jake: Thank you...
Y/n: Your welcome.
I took out a hard candy from my pocket. I gave it to him. He looked at me confused as he took the candy.
Y/n: It's a hard candy, it's made of honey, it'll sooth your throat and will help with your cough.
He nodded and put it into his mouth. I was about to leave when he grabbed my hand. I turned around.
Jake: Can you stay?
I nodded and sat down on the floor while holding his hand. After a while I dozed off.
