=Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003=
=Darkness of the Edge of the Town Part 6=

The turtles eventually reached to the cannon's platform and began to climb along its scaffolding, heading to the topside, as the four technicians handling the cannon turned the device off and the whirlpool in the river closed in.

The technicians started to gather their stuff and prepared to leave - with one taking the metal glove from the platform and headed towards the sword in the device - until Leo popped his head out from the edge of the platform, surprising all four of them.

"Excuse me, boys, but there's a small matter with some stolen property we need to discuss." Leo said to the technicians with the polite but firm tone.

All four technicians gasped in shock at the sight of the giant talking turtle before their very own eyes, before they attempted to run for it, until Mary appeared to the same edge of the platform where her brother was, blocking their escape.

"And because you're apparently working for the ones who stole it, the four of you can be charged of either participating in the theft or collaborating with the thieves." the turtle in turquoise stated to the technicians.

Panicking now even more, the technicians ran to another end of the platform to get away from the turtles, until Donnie and Dom blocked their way by suddenly popping out from under of the edge.

"Dudes, you really shouldn't be playing with such dangerous toys." Donnie said jokingly to the technicians.

Raph and Louie then appeared beside their brothers.

"So we suggest that the four of you surrender, or face some mean-in-green!" Louie demanded the technicians, pointing his Butterfly sword at them.

The technicians, however, ran off in a different direction to get away from the platform and the turtles, until Mikey and Arcee popped out from under of another corner of the platform, blocking the technicians' last escape route.

"ARR, landlubbers! Prepare to be boarded or we'll put you to walk on plank" Mikey growled to the technicians in the pirate-style, making Arcee to stare at him in puzzlement. The turtle in pink then rolled her eyes at her brother.

"You've been watching too much of pirate films, have you?" Arcee asked her brother with the frown.

The technicians soon realized that they were surrounded from all directions by eight giant talking turtles, who had the advantage over them in numbers and they apparently were not gonna let them get away from the platform so easily.

So, at least half of them decided to fight back to get out of here.

Two technicians pulled out from the small bags in their belts something that resembled somewhat brass knuckles, except that they had two barrels in them. One of those two techs then turned to Donnie, Dom, Raph and Louie while the other one turned to Mary, Mikey and Arcee before they began to point them down at the turtles.

The techs began to shoot the blue beams of lasers from their weird-looking guns at the turtles.

"THESE GUYS HAVE A LASER GUNS?! WOW!" Mikey exclaimed in surprise and shock, before he ducked down beneath the edge of the platform, narrowly dodging the beam that smoothly cut the corner off from the platform like the knife cuts a warm butter.

Before the tech could shoot at Mikey again, Mary lunged forward at the technician and swung her Naginata towards his "laser-gun" to knock it out of his hand. However, the tech noticed her coming and turned around to shoot her instead, thus resulting Mary to miss her original target and ending up to accidentally slice the man's arm off.(1)

"AGH!" the tech yelped in surprise, as his chopped off arm fell to the platform.

Mary's heart missed the beat and she gasped in horror when she realized that what she had just done.

The turtle in turquoise backed away, holding her breath in shock and feeling her stomach going into knot, as she stared the technician who had fallen on his knees to the platform, crying in pain while holding with his remaining hand from the stump of his arm Mary had just a moment ago chopped off.

"I... I... I didn't... I didn't meant to..." Mary stuttered, finding it a difficult to find the words while being horrified and sickened of her actions.

However, instead of blood, the stump of the tech's arm sent out a glowing sparks and both hissing and sparking sounds as if it was like... like... like a damaged machine, much to Mary's surprise and confusion, which quickly replaced her horrific and sickening feelings.

"Whatta...?" she exclaimed in shock and confusion.

Donnie witnessed this as well.

"WHAT?! These... These guys are... ANDROIDS?!" the brainy turtle exclaimed at this shocking revelation.(2)

"LOOK OUT, DONNIE!" Dom shouted in warning to the turtle in purple as the other technician lowered his weapon down at them and pressed the trigger down, firing the laser beam at the turtles and forcing them to duck down. The tech's laser beam cut the platform's edge from Dom's spot, nearly cutting off the turtle in white's head and left arm in the process, forcing him to switch the spots.

However, the technician had let his guard down, which Louie took advantage of and jumped onto the platform. The turtle in black lunged at the technician with his Butterfly swords held over his head before he brought them down on the technician, who noticed him too late and raised his free arm to cover his head from the incoming attack.

However, Louie, having realized along with the rest of the turtles that these four were androids instead of normal people like the ninjas back in the docks, sliced without the hesitation the tech's robotic arm off and into three parts, before he snap-kicked the android to the head, sending him over to the platform.

Louie's kick was a pretty hard that the the technician-android's head, much to everybody's brief shock, was knocked off and sent flying off the platform into the river.

As the headless technician fell onto his back to the platform, his from the "laser-gun" holding hand limply swung towards his one-arm-less colleague behind him as he was taking another laser-gun into his remaining hand from his bag and attempted to fire with it at Mary and the other turtles.

The decapitated technician's finger was still pressed on his own "laser-gun" trigger and the laser-beam was still on, causing it to accidentally sever off his comrade's left leg right at the moment when he was about to press his laser-gun's trigger.

"AGH!" the technician cried in pain after feeling the laser-beam cutting through his left leg's flesh and inner mechanism. The pain also caused him to press on his weapon's trigger out of reflexes and he began to wave his arms - including his weapon as it fired its laser-beam - around to regain his balance, accidentally swinging the weapon's laser beam at Mary.

Alerted by her instincts, the turtle in turquoise managed to narrowly... just narrowly... dodge towards her incoming laser-beam by leaning hard to her left.

The beam, however, managed to cut Mary's Naginata's haft in half, and along with it her turquoise mask's into the ponytails braided ribbons off. The laser-beam also managed to cut her mask off from her right temple and nearly ended up to the contact with Mary's skin and flesh, leaving two-degree burns from the beam's heat in her right temper.

"AHHHH!" Mary cried in pain as the burning hot beam burned her right temple, and the wave of the burning and sickening pain in her head caused her to fall onto her left side to the platform, after which the turtle in turquoise out of instincts pressed her right hand over of the burned spot in her head, gritting her teeth in pain.

"MARY!" Arcee cried, turning on her doctor mode and climbed onto the platform to get to her sister, so that she could give her the first aid.

As this happened, the one-leg-less technician lost his balance and fell onto his back to the platform.

However, his finger was still on his laser-gun's trigger and the weapon kept firing the laser-beams around.

And as he fell to the platform, his weapon-wielding arm got thrown backwards towards the cannon and the laser-beam landed onto the cannon's control table, splitting it in half.

This caused the whole device to go haywire: the sword that was still connected to the cannon began to lightening even more brightly as it overloaded the whole cannon with full power, causing the whole platform to shake.

"WHOOOOAAAA!" the turtles yelled as they tried to keep their hold on the shaking platform.

"SMOOTH MOVE, YOU IDIOT!" Dom yelled to Louie.

"WHAT?!" Louie shrugged, dumbfounded by Dom's accusations. "WHAT DID I DO?!"

Two remaining techs hurriedly rushed to the cannon's controls and attempted to shut down the machine, but it was futile.

"It's overloading! I can't control it!" one of the technician said to his colleague in panic.

"Who cares?! We're leaving!" another technician said dismissively, as the same helicopter flew above of the platform, hovering at a suitable height above the platform to allow technicians to jump on its landing gear and climb into the helicopter.

A third remaining technician-android, the one from whom Mary had sliced off his right hand and who's colleague had accidentally severed off his left leg, hurriedly though laboriously hopped under the helicopter and leaped with his remaining leg at the copter's landing gear.

"THEY'RE GETTING AWAY!" Raphael shouted.

"NOT ON MY WATCH!" Louie replied.

As the third technician-android managed to grab from the landing gear with his one hand, the turtle in black pounced towards the technician and grabbed from him, wrapping his arms around of his waist in attempt to prevent at least him from escaping as the helicopter began to hover upwards.

Thinking quickly before they could hover too high for Louie to jump back down, the turtle in black began to repeatedly tug the technician downwards with his own body weight in attempt to get him to let go from the landing gear.

Despite being the android, the tech-android apparently had a normal human-like strength, as he seemed to be unable to pull himself onto the landing gear and climb into the helicopter. Especially without his right arm and with the extra-weight provided by Louie, that made the technician's attempts futile.

Eventually, before the airborne vehicle could reach any higher and away from the platform, the technician finally lost his grip from the helicopter's landing gear after Louie pulled him downwards with one last and hard pull.

Both the technician-android and the turtle in black fell back to the platform.

Louie landing safely back on his feet to the platform after a short fall but the technician landed a pretty roughly on his back to the platform, presumably severely damaging more circuits he had inside of him.

"Nice! You got one!" Mikey cheered at Louie, who gave his younger brother a high-tree.

"I did, didn't I?" Louie said, proud of his accomplishment, before he turned to the badly damaged technician.

"And now in getting some answers to a few our questions." the turtle in black stated.

"I got it, bro." Raph replied as he knelt over the slightly sparking and apparently due to the rough landing immobilized technician-android, grabbed roughly from his suit and violently lifted him up from the platform before he put the sharp tip of his Sai to his throat.

"Alright, cyborg! We have some questions we want the answers! Who are you guys anyway?! Who are you working for?! And what's the deal with that weird barnacle-covered thing you guys just fished from the water?!" Raph questioned with harsh tone.

However, technician-android spotted one of their laser-guns lying in the platform, within his reach, before he turned back to Raph with the mocking grin.

"You get nothing from me, freak!" the technician said, before he snatched the laser-gun into his hand!

"RAPH! LOOK OUT!" Dom cried in concern as he rushed forward and dragged Raph away from the armed technician-android - causing the turtle in red to let go of him - to avoid them both getting sliced into pieces by the android's gun's laser-beam.

However, much to the turtles shocking surprise, instead of aiming his laser-gun at the turtles in red and white in front of him, the technician-android turned the gun's barrel to his own temple and pressed the trigger down, firing the beam through of his head, "killing" himself.

Almost everybody's eyes widened in shock as now-dead technician fell limp to the platform.

"Seppuku?! C'mon! Too old-fashioned way!" Raph groaned.

Louie then turned his attention to the helicopter that was flying away to the other side of the river. "Those guys are getting away! We have to go after them!" the turtle in black urged them with hurry.

"Forget about those guys, Louie!" Dom snapped, halting his brother back. "How do you think you can catch the helicopter that can fly miles without difficulty on foot?"

"Besides, I think we've got bigger problems than just a couple of escaped androids." Donnie gulped as the concerned turtle in purple pointed at the cannon.

While the turtles were focused on stopping the escaping androids, the damaged and overloading cannon had gone active on its own and it began to shoot the rogue energy beams to everywhere. And to make the situation worse, the cannon strayed from the water and aimed its beam towards the docks close to the Brooklyn Bridge.

And once the spinning cannon's rogue beam hit to the docks, the wooden walkway went crumbling down under of the beam's destructive pressure. It kept going towards the city, and the whole ground beneath the beam's pressure began to crack and crumble threateningly and the warehouses and nearby residential buildings started to shake violently like under of the earthquake, threatening innumerable innocent lives inside of the buildings on the rogue beam's way.

"Great! First the power failures, then ninjas, then androids, then laser cannons and now this part of the city is under of the threat of coming crumbling down!" Dom groaned.

"Talk about bad vibes!" Mikey joked.

"Not funny, Mike!" Raph scowled.

"Yeah! Those innocent people are in the grave danger to get killed inside of those buildings if the beam hits their support structures!" Arcee pointed out as the turtle in pink was checking downed Mary's injuries and gave her big sister the first aid by first cooling her burns with an ice bag.

While Arcee kept treating Mary, the other turtles quickly hurried to the cannon.

"Don, can you shut it down!" Leo asked.

"Well, I might be able to disconnect the sword from the accelerator!" Donatello said as he hopped on top of the cannon and dug a crowbar out from his bag, which the brainy turtle then used to rip open the panel to the cannon's machinery. Once the panel was torn off, Donnie began to examine the cannon's machinery and wires to see what he can do to shut the machine down. "But crossing the power terminal could result in a feedback loop. It might..."

"DONNIE, WHATEVER! Whatever you're going to do, JUST DO IT!" Leo snapped impatiently, cutting his brainy brother short, before the turtle in blue turned to the others. "Meantime, the rest of us will try to point this thing away from civilization!"

Save for the girls, all five turtles hurriedly rushed to the cannon's left side and started all together to push it in the opposite direction with all their strength so that the rogue energy beam would not damage the buildings and kill large numbers of innocent people inside them.

However, all they were capable to do was to slow the cannon down, thus delaying the inevitable and buying to both Donnie and the citizens a little more time, but they didn't managed to turn this thing in the opposite direction. The thing was just too heavy to be turned away by the mere strength of muscle.

Raph and Louie's attentions were then caught by the echoing voice through of the megaphone, and the turtles in red and black turned to its direction, seeing the several police helicopters approaching them from above, with their spotlights on.

"This is the police! You on the pier, stop where you are!" the cop in one of the helicopters demanded.

There was also the echoing sound of distant sirens, implying that a number of police cars were probably heading this way.

"Great! Why the cops always show up to the wrong place at the wrong time?!" Louie complained as he kept pushing the cannon to the opposite direction.

"Hurry up, Don! Before we end up on America's most wanted reptiles!" Raphael urged.

"Just a moment, I'm almost there...!" Donnie stuttered.

Donnie then pulled a couple of cords, one green and one red, out from the cannon and connected them together.

"Uh, oh!" Donnie yelped as the connection of the cords began to spark ominously, telling him that something went awfully wrong.

""Uh, oh?!" What do you mean with "Uh, oh?!" Did you just do something what you shouldn't?!" Dom demanded irritably.

"Sort of..." Donnie replied sheepishly.

The cannon suddenly went out of control and started to spin in a circle a fast rate, tossing Donnie off of device's back and knocking the rest of the turtles off their feet over to the platform. And while spinning around, the cannon kept firing its rogue energy beam all over the place. Thought the beam didn't cause much damage to the rest of the South Street Seaport, it did destroy the surroundings of the pier 16, such as the pier 15's warehouses, both the sail ships where they fought off the ninjas, several nearby port buildings and much of the wooden walkway, leaving behind a vast devastation.

Arcee, who was tying up Mary's head with bandages, was caught by the sudden noise behind her shell-back and turned to look over her shoulder to see that what was going on there, only to see the cannon swinging right towards her head.

"Whatta...? WOW!" The turtle in pink yelped as she threw herself down to the platform, narrowly avoided being hit and knocked over by the cannon.

Rapidly spinning cannon also prevented the turtles from getting back up, giving them no chance to stand up without being knocked over again.

"DONNIE! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Arcee demanded. "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DEACTIVATE THIS THING!"

"I tried, Arcee, but got a little calculation error with the wiring!" Donnie said awkwardly.

"A LITTLE!" Arcee exclaimed in disbelief. " OH, SHELL! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! YOU GOT THE WHOLE THING TO GO INTO RAMPAGE!"

"GUYS! NO TIME FOR THIS!" Leo cut in, before the turtle in blue turned to the rampaging cannon. "WE'VE GOT TO STEADY THIS THING!"

"HOW?! WE CAN'T EVEN GET UP IF IT KEEPS SWINGING WILDLY!" Dom pointed out.

Leo then noticed a crowbar Donnie had dropped after opening the cannon's panel. The turtle in blue grabbed to it and then crawled closer to the underside of the cannon and struck the metal tool to the spot where it could keep the cannon steady.

It worked! The cannon stopped spinning and its rogue beam was aimed to the river, where it couldn't cause any more damage.

The police copters were getting even closer, and judging from the intensity of the sirens, so were the police cars.

"The cops are getting close!" Louie cried, as the turtle in black was helping Arcee to get Mary off the platform and back on her feet, after the turtle in pink had finished with treating and bandaging Mary's burns in her temple and when the turtle in turquoise started to feel herself alright enough to stand up.

"Hurry up! Let's grab that blasted sword and let's get out of here before this pier is swarm with cops!" Dom urged.

Donnie walked next to still brightly lightning sword still connected to the cannon - that was dangerously overloading to the critical level - and reached up to grab it by the handle to remove the blade from the accelerator.

However, once the brainy turtle touched the sword's handle with his right bare hand, the sword shocked his hand with the burning electric shock.

"OWW!" the brainy turtle screamed loudly from the burning pain in his palm and withdrew his hand back out of instincts.

"DONNIE!" Arcee cried when this happened and rushed to his brainy brother's side and aid.

"I... I... I... OW! I cannot... I cannot even... ARGH! Even touch that... that thing! UGH! Not with... not with... AGHH! Not with the bare hands!" Donnie said between the waves of pain running along his arm from his burned palm.

"How we then remove the sword if we cannot touch it?!" Mary questioned as she walked carefully towards the cannon and the sparking sword as if attempting to take the sword off the cannon by herself, while being helped - or tried to be helped - by Louie and Dom, whom the turtle in turquoise shook off nonetheless, telling them that she was fine.

Leo then spotted the glove lying on the platform. The turtle in blue instantly recalled how Tatsu back in the museum had used the same object to grab the sword without danger of getting his hand shocked and burned by the weapon's power.

With their time running out as the cops were getting closer while acknowledging Mary's determination, despite being just recovering from her own injuries, Leo picked up the glove and turned to her sister, who was standing next to the cannon and the sword.

"Here! Try this!" Leo suggested as he tossed it to his sister.

Mary snatched the glove from the air and put it on her left hand, before she turned to the sword. The turtle in turquoise grabbed the sword by its handle with her gloved hand - without getting any electric shock - and disconnected it from the cannon.

And once the sword was disconnected from the accelerator, the weapon's blade's stopped gloving and lightning and the cannon was instantly shut down... but the overloading was still ongoing.

Then, the platform started to wobble back and forth and the scaffolding beneath it started to groan ominously.

Louie peeked under the edge of the platform to see what was going on and spotted that the pier's support pillars and the platform's scaffolding were starting to go, and the whole thing was at risk of collapsing to the river. This was presumably due to the strong vibration of the cannon device, and both the brief struggle on the platform and the cannon's escape out of control had only worsened it.

"Oi! The whole pier and the platform are about to collapse!" Louie warned the others.

"THEN LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" Donnie yelled.

The turtles immediately jumped off the platform and onto the walkway, running away from the collapsing pier with the sword.

They managed to get away just in time when both the pier's support pillars and platform's scaffolding gave in and entire thing collapsed into the water along with the cannon. The damaged and overloaded cannon then caused a huge and bright blue-white explosion instantly after it sank beneath the water.

BOOOOM!

And after the explosion, everything was quiet.

The turtles remained on the edge of the pier - the end of which was severed from the rest of the pier when it collapsed into the water - witnessing this.

"Whoa! Awesome light show." Mikey said in amazement.

The turtles then looked up and saw that the police helicopters were hovering over the area, pointing their spotlights down. And with that, the sirens of incoming police cars started ringing around the corner.

"Speaking of light shows... I think that it's time for us to vanish." Leo suggested.

"Agree." Dom said, and the turtles ran into the shadows.

As the police helicopters began to survey the damage in the area with their spotlights, the turtles, avoiding their spotlights, escaped from the area under of the cover of the shadows without a trace... with the sword in their possession.

###

Later in the lair, as soon as Arcee had tended her siblings wounds - after re-checking Mary's own injury, she had tended the burns in Donnie's right palm and Leo's nasty cut he had got in his temper during of his fight with Tatsu - the turtles told all about the last night's events to Master Splinter and showed him the sword the ninjas had stolen from the museum and which they had managed to get back.

Splinter studied the sword for a moment while wearing the glove in his left hand. The design of the sword appeared to be familiar to him, but he also found in it something very special, something different, something... completely unknown even for him to recognize.

"The sword's design is unmistakably 11th century Japanese. But the metal is unlike any that I've ever seen." Splinter explained to his children.

The turtles exchanged the glances with each others after Master Splinter had said this. They all - or at least the ones with the steel weapons - knew clearly what types of metal were worthy of Japanese blade weapons, but if even their master didn't recognize the type of metal that was used to make this particular sword, the Sword of Tengu, then there were many other mysteries associated with this sword and its origin, along with its mysterious powers and abilities.

"Well, then that means..." Louie started, rubbing his palms together while eyeing the sword in his master's hands. The turtle in black's voice, face and eyes were filled with the interest and even with great desire to have the sword for himself. "...that this thing is the only of its kind? Well, that's perfect!" Louie exclaimed.

Dom noticed that look on his brother's face and sensed his intentions with the sword.

"Don't even think about it, bro." Dom warned strictly.

"What? Don't you realize that a sword is one of a kind and therefore has collectible value?" Louie argued as he pointed at the sword in Splinter's hands. "Think of what a sword would look like on my room's wall along with the Mouser's head and Nanobot's mask. If I only could..." he added, revealing his plans to make Sword of Tengu a part of his collection.

"Out of the question, Lorenzo!" Splinter snapped dead seriously to Louie, making the turtle in black submissively stand down.

"From whatever metal this blade is made of, it does not mean that this sword is a collector's item. Everything you have told me about this weapon's capabilities, and even its mere appearance makes it clear that there is more to this sword than meets the eye." the old rat master told to his sons.

"So what do we do with it then, Sensei? It's too dangerous to be taken back to museum's possession or to police's custody." Leo pointed out.

Without respond, save for a dead-serious look on his face, Splinter then stood up to his feet and walked to Donnie's laboratory, where he placed the sword on a stand on Donnie's table.

"We'll keep it here, Leonardo. It is absolutely best that this sword remains out of the wrong hands." the rat master declared.

###

Back in the palace on top of with the Ninja-symbol branded tower, both bruised and wet Tatsu and two remaining technicians were standing before their master as he was sitting behind of his table. The tree of them had told their master about the events at the piers and he was far from pleased.

"For a long time, longer than you three can possibly imagine, my enemies have managed to elude me." the man hissed angrily to the nervous Tatsu and the technicians.

Tatsu then stepped forward to speak.

"But master, despite some... extenuating circumstances during the mission, we got what we were after at the docks." The scarred ninja master said, trying to use the same way Jennika had convinced him to please their master: about delivering the goods. He then turned to the giant glass case that contained the barnacle-covered metal suit with the giant hole in the abdomen, which the technicians had brought with them. "Here, the proof of your enemies' presence in this city just as you presumed, master."

Tatsu had hoped that at least delivering what his master wanted was enough to please him, but he was wrong.

"Yes." the man agreed with the angry hiss. "And the delivery of that thing cost me MY SWORD OF TENGU!" he snarled in rage, knocking an empty glass case - which was meant for the sword - away, shattering it as it hit the floor.

"Without it, my chances of finding my enemies will be delayed... ONCE AGAIN!" the man roared, getting Tatsu to back away from him nervously.

In the sidelines, Jennika, as he was standing by her master's side on her right, closed her eyes and let out the silent sigh... of relief.

"How could've have one simple mission cost me so much?! Explain that!" the man angrily demanded.

One of the technicians then stood forward, Taking Tatsu's place. "But master, it really wasn't our fault. We did as you asked, but these eight strange creatures... they came out of nowhere."

The man then turned to the technician, raising his eyebrow. "Eight strange creatures?" he questioned.

"Some sort of freaks." the other technician explained. "They looked like... giant, talking turtles dressed like ninjas or something."

"And they fought tough. It's wonder that they managed to get past of Tatsu and his well-trained security forces." the first technician added.

Tatsu gave that technician a side-eye glare, frowning in anger at the reminder of him getting both defeated and humiliated by those turtles, but also worried about what the master might do to him now that he knows that he had failed in his task to keep the area around the pier 16 secured during the mission.

The man gave Tatsu a disappointed glare, before he turned to Jennika, extending his hand towards him.

"The picture, Jennika?" the man demanded.

Jennika nodded and took out the picture, which one of Baxter Stockman's Mousers had taken back in the big fight at Stocktronics building, handing it to her master's hand.

Tatsu then turned back to Tatsu and the technicians, showing them the picture in his hand.

"Were... these... the same eight creatures you saw?" he asked.

Tatsu and the technicians took a close look of the picture that showed the hazy thermal images of eight humanoid turtles - along with the female human with them. All of them were posing their individual combat postures and held up their weapons while standing in triangular formation: Three of them, the ones carrying a pair of Sai daggers, a pair of Katana and Naginata-spear, stood on the left. Another three, the ones carrying the pair of Butterfly swords, pair of Nunchucks and the pair of Tonfas, stood on the right. And the other two, the ones carrying the Bo staff and the Yumi bow and arrow, stood behind the other six, along with the woman.

Though the scarred ninja master and the technicians didn't know who the female human was with them, all three of them recognized the shapes of the turtles from the last night.

"Yes, master. those eight were them." Tatsu confirmed.

"Oh, yes." the technicians said in unison.

Their master was silent for a moment after their confirmation.

"Then... that will be all." the man said finally, before he continued. "Tatsu, you'll stay here. And you two, you can go."

Tatsu gulped nervously, but nodded to his master nonetheless. The two technicians bowed to the man in respect before they turned around and walked towards the door, telling each other on their way out how lucky they were and that how it could've ended up much worse for them.

As the technicians walked away, the man had walked from behind of his table and in front of Tatsu, still a disappointed frown on his face and flashing glare in his eyes as they were locked with Tatsu's own, making the scarred ninja master to breath rapidly and sweat nervously while awaiting what was coming to him. The man then took the pair of Tantō-daggers from Tatsu and held the one's blade in front of Tatsu's scarred face, and the second one's tip against his throat, increasing his nervousness.

However, instead of doing anything to Tatsu with the daggers, the man threw them both with the swift move at the technicians before they could reach the door.

"AHH!" one of the technicians let out in pain as one of the daggers hit and sunk into the back of his head.

"AGH!" the second one gasped as the second dagger split the back of his head in two.

Both technicians then fell on their stomachs to the floor of the room, dead, with the sparks and smoke came out from the wounds in the backs of their heads.

Witnessing the technicians deaths, Jennika closed her eyes and lowered her head slightly.

Tatsu, holding his breath after what his master had just done to the dismissed technicians with his daggers, turned to look at him with the shocked look on his face.

The man's own faces were emotionless and without any sign of remorse about the cold-blooded murder he had just committed.

"Consider yourself luckier that those two, Tatsu. Despite of your failure, and your defeat in the hands of these creatures, I still find you useful to me for now." the man told him coldly, before turned back to his table.

With that, Tatsu could only let out the sigh of great relief for being alive for now, before the scarred ninja master took once again his stern pose.

After walking behind of his table, the man eyes the picture of the creatures in his hand, frowning at it with the murderous and vengeful anger, before he turned to his lieutenants.

"Tatsu! Jennika!"

Two ninja masters immediately stood before their master, waiting for his orders.

"These creatures have crossed their line with me for the last time! Gather your men, as many as you can, and find these creatures! The manhunt on them is on." the man snarled.

"But master... what about your enemies?" Tatsu questioned cautiously.

"They can wait, for now. Right now, I want these freakish thorns in my side to be removed..." the man hissed, throwing the picture to the table before picking up his gauntlet with the pair of claws from the table.

"...PERMANENTLY!" he finished with the snarl, stabbing his gauntlet's claws through of the picture and the table, making the ninja master before him to wince.

OHHHHHHHH!

THE END.

TRIVIA

Author's note: As you saw, chapter by chapter (or episode divided into chapters by episode) I'm starting to take even more darker turns from the original story line of 2003 series, where was not blood or on-screen deaths, and where the majority of the times where the word "kill" is replaced with the words "destroy" or "destroyed". For now, the turtles are holding back from using the lethal force against their enemies. But as my story goes, even the turtles - at least half of them - won't hold back of actually killing their enemies. But that time is not yet.
