There are some forms of alien activity even MIK turns a blind eye to. The truly alien activity between Chupataro and Ohdo Yuhi, for instance.

Chapter 62: The Salaryman Returns

"So Red-Eyes Black Dragon wasn't able to keep her subdued. Be careful! That's Energy Copyko!" Asaka cautioned.

"Her? The prison guard Chupa had voice Meeeg-chan in Chupa's big hit anime, chupa? Ena…ko?"

"Hehe…After that, I was chosen to become part of MIK's leadership because of my special abilities."

"She can copy the personalities and powers of those she Rush Duels!"

"Phaser-sama, are we retreating?"

"MIK was caught flat-footed today. But we're not done, UTS! Sevens!"

Tremolo's desiccated near-corpse on the dais with them, Phaser and Energy took off on the Relic.

"Is this okay?"

"Should we not go after them?"

"Let them be," The*Providence dismissed Yuhi and Yudias' concerns. "Providence has a greater plan in store."

"Doesn't he always, chupa?"

Evidently, they meant that guy, and not The*Providence or the concept of providence itself.

"Well, at least Chupa's back with Yuhi!"

Yuhi shook himself out of Chupataro's arms. "I don't recall forgivin' you."

"No way~! After Chupa went through all that, cabra!" Chupataro whimpered.

"Yudias Velgear. That guy expected you to play a role too. Atachi Manya. Do you have it?"

"Yes, Atachi Manya! On set!"

"Manya, is that…Guy-kun's robot?"

"Manabu was just like an extra."

"Bochi's main target was what was in Goha Company's basement!"

The "extra" in Manya and Bochi's conversation groaned.

"Kaizo, was it?" Yuamu polished the drone, but nothing happened.

"Is he broken, jersey?"

"That guy surely wouldn't have left him lying around without safeguards to keep MIK out, sky."

"That's my cue! Nanahoshi Ranran of the Nanahoshi clan is here!"

"A card?"

"This is that guy's card."

"WHAT?"

"The truth is, I was also there when Ryugu Phaser duelled that guy. I stole his card and defected, and before Phaser could revoke my access as Director General of the MIK Central Ward, I sent an SOS into space via the Astronomical Observation Division's space telescope, getting into contact with the Great King of Terror's ship."

"Nn-o!" The*Providence lost his cool for a second. "You just forced your way into our private communications! MIK can have you back!"

"So hand it over, why dontcha?" Yuhi held out his palm.

"The reason is…"

Yuamu took it from her, and gasped.

"Yuamu? What is it?"

"This card…It says Guy-kun's name…is Ohdo Yuga!"

"Ohdo Yuga? Who's that?"

"You don't know? I showed you the card before!" Ranran chided Yuhi.

"Your flashbang went off in my eyes! How was I supposed to see?"

"That guy is…Ohdo Yuga?"

"We don't have any relatives by that name, Yudias."

"So it was really true? Him being from the future?"

"Does that make him our damn descendant?"

"Whatever the reality, Nanahoshi Ranran made the correct assumption: That card and both Ohdo Yuamu and Ohdo Yuhi's presence are necessary to unlock what that guy – what Ohdo Yuga – left you."

"But why is the art on this card of a cat?"

Cat queries could wait. Kaizo was coming online.

"Beep, beep, beep! Kaizo! My name is Kaizo! Restoring 'Kaizo' version 7S-47. Beep, beep, beep!"

A shiny new body raced rush delivery to the rooftop. On booster rockets!

"Heh-heh-heh-heh. I won't let you past this point, Yudias-san." Kaizo was now rocking arms, legs, and alloyed business attire. "This job interview is a Rush Duel."

"Umm, didn't his personality change a bit?"

Yuamu cringed. "Wow. Annoying."

"If it is a Rush Duel, I accept! Velgear Riva! Yudias Velgear!"

"Corporate Warrior Kaizo."

"GO RUSH!"

"It is my turn! Velgear Draw! When the blade of light sweeps across the celestial river, the hero appears to the call of his name! Transamu Rainac! I release him, and Advance Summon! Silver Seyfert!" (Level 6 LIGHT Galaxy/Normal ATK 2000 DEF 800)

"You're 6:66 behind schedule, Yudias-san."

"I summon two more monsters, and set a card. Turn end!"

"My turn. I will draw. I summon Overhauled Warrior Employee Organizer to tyrannize our shiny new candidate, and activate its effect! By sending a Trap from my hand to the Graveyard and signing a contract to only attack with Machine-Types this turn, I Special Summon! Eternal overtime. Unpaid wages. Disposable employees! I'll push onward on the red carpet of harassment and refuse to comply with company policy! Dark Employee King Arktalk's inauguration!" (Level 7 LIGHT Machine/Effect ATK 2400 DEF 600)

"That's Kaizo-kun's Ace Monster?"

"It isn't over! Dark Employee King Arktalk and Overhauled Warrior Employee Organizer will be fused! With the new power bestowed by the board of directors! The sinister CEO cancels all benefits and bonuses! Wield your demonic calibre! Pitch-Black Employee King Great Arktalk's promotion!" (Level 9 LIGHT Machine/Effect ATK 2800 DEF 2400)

"A Fusion Summon!"

"And then, and then! I pay 600 Life Points to activate Pitch-Black Employee King Great Arktalk's effect! Employee Resource Embezzlement!" (Kaizo LP 4000 ↓ 3400)

Great Arktalk's cigar smouldered. (ATK 2800 ↑ ATK 3200)

"Great Arktalk's ATK was –!"

"Due to its effect, the corrupt Arktalk gains ATK equal to the Machine-Types in my Graveyard x 200 until end of turn, and I can place the Attack Salary Slash I kept off the books earlier to the bottom of my Deck to draw a card."

"BY 400?"

"I set two cards! Pitch-Black Employee King Great Arktalk fires Silver Seyfert without severance!"

"Kaizo, I need you to do something for me."

"More work? We arrived at a time before Solid Vision was even invented, much less Rush Duels, and you're still bossing me around! Ask the team you assembled!"

"I did. But they –"

"Yes. Jeez. You're such a slavedriver, Yuga! Even if you don't want to admit it, all this overuse and controlling behaviour is as bad as O –"

"Kaizo, your sacrifice will not have been in vain." Yudias inherited Super Magical Flagship Magnum Over Road from the rundown drone's Duel Disk after only destroying the Maximum with Eternal Galactica Oblivion moments ago.

Static.

"Wait, what was that just now?"

"N-n-n-no way! Will I not be able to use this Maximum?"

"No, that is also providence. Chupataro, Tell, Mitsuko, Bochi, Badlove, Nomuratodamas. It's time."

Chupataro, Tell, Mitsuko, Bochi, Badlove, and Nomuratodamas presented their Maximum Monsters. The cards fluctuated, and gradually, they turned blank, while Super Magical Flagship Magnum Over Road stabilized.

"Er…What? What about the eighteen people in those cards?"

"Our Maximums aren't made out of people, chupa."

"They aren't?"

"They were created by me on blank cards," The*Providence explained. "I reverse-engineered them from Yggdrago, and encoded on them were the blueprints Ohdo Yuga gave me to reformat his Maximum into the form you see before you."

"Super Magical Railroad Magnum Over Road. Does that guy…Does Ohdo Yuga desire for me to compete with the Ryugu brothers with this Maximum?"

A memento from Yudias' two-year tour of duty breezed in out the roof door.

"It is not yet time for you to confront the enemy, Yudias Velgear."
