The ancient abomination towered over the field, an arachnoid being formed from chunks of mountain and crystal spikes. Its legs were obsidian-tipped. Pieces of its body orbited around it in alien patterns, and it shone with its own corona, bright as a star.
"How's that? This is Crystal God Tistina!" Ishida gloated.
"Yeah, we heard ya! But 2000 ATK? That's God? Tazaki-san's monster still has higher ATK, y'know?" Yuhi talked back.
Drilling Tractiger (ATK 2500)
"Before such power without rival, all opposition is useless! All are meaningless! Crystal God Tistina's continuous effect! God can change as many monsters on the old man's side of the field as possible to face-down Defence Position, and after that, all face-up cards on the old man's field go to the Graveyard!"

"I don't need to remind you that had Drilling Tractiger been equipped with any Equip Magic Cards or had you played a Field Magic Card, they would be ground into pebbles right now!"

"God chooses what lives and what dies! Crystal God Tistina switches Tractiger to face-down Defence Position! I activate Hound of the Tistina and Sentinel of the Tistina's effects! When I control God, Hound and Sentinel can be Special Summoned from my Graveyard! Be revived! Hound! Sentinel!"

"When Tainted of the Tistina is sent to the Graveyard except from the field, Crystal God Tistina gains the ability to attack twice if only God and no other monsters attack this turn!"
"Crap! Tractiger'll be destroyed!"
"And Tazaki-san's Life Points will be wide open!"
"Just try it, young'un!" Tazaki-san hid his sweat. That's it…Attack Tractiger! When you do, I'll use my Trap and –!
"Hound also has a continuous effect! While you control a face-down Defence Position monster, God can attack directly!"

"Hidey ho!" the huge disembodied head of Kuaidul Velgear greeted them.
"You! I thought we –" Ishida was the proxy for Tistina's contempt.
"Locked me out? It's true you created quite a problem for my Kartios Project by sowing discord throughout my Deck. But…That ends here."
"Your space-time is already overrun with crystal! You've lost!"
"No need to be patronizing. Or are you disappointed to see me? The cards in my Deck are mine. I won't let anyone have them!"
One could just imagine the clouds roaring "Seto!" in a vengeful adoptive father's voice, free of context.
"Kuaidul! What you are doing is wrong! Let the people of Mutsuba Town go!"
"Yudias Velgear, our fight is coming soon enough! But before that…Shall we get rid of a certain meddling 'God' first?"
"Kuaidul, ya damned Velgearian!" Yuhi fumed. "Let us out!"

Tazaki-san's Deck underwent covert adjustment.

"Wait, Kuaidul!" Yudias called, but Kuaidul had made himself scarce.

The crystal cavern caved in.

"Tazaki-san has four cards!"

"My sympathies, young'un. Wyrm Ex-cavator not only can't be destroyed by Traps, Maximums can't be in Defence Position!"
"WHAT? Having no DEF isn't the same as DEF 0?"
"INFINITE GRAND CRUSH!" Wyrm Ex-cavator shredded through Tistina with its dual bucket wheels.

The scourge of the old universe was expelled from Ishida, its crystal rot afflicting Mutsuba Town eroding and sloughed off like sand.
Wyrm Ex-cavator's building blocks regressed to three Bull Breakers on Tazaki-san's Duel Disk, and the cards on Kuaidul's screen lost the amethyst-coloured rectangles denoting their corruption.
"Ishida? Hey, Ishida, ya good?"
"Rock Specialist-kun?"
"Ishi…Ishi dabba doo?"
"I think he's good," Yuamu sighed.

"Well done, Yudias," Zuwijo muttered, ignorant it was Tazaki-san who'd dealt the blow that purged Crystal God Tistina from Kuaidul's space-time, the deity's digitized malevolence stone-cold dead.
