Luz and her friends walked around, when Willow and Gus dragged her to the Emperor's Coven Demo.

'The Emperor's Coven, the only coven that lets you study all types of magic.' Luz thought as she and her friends sat in the crowd. 'Let's see what makes this coven so "good" as most people think.'

A man came out with a microphone.

"Greetings, I am Principal Bump, and I am pleased to welcome, the Emperor's Coven."

Suddenly, three people in bird masks appeared in the arena as everyone looked in awe.

"Wow!" Willow and Gus said in awe as Luz looked at them with a bland look.

"The members of the Emperor's Coven can study, not one but all types of magic! Oh! Ah!" Bump said as the three coven members made balls of water, fire, and lightning in their hands.

The crowd cheered, but Luz thought this seemed off. Her training with Batman gave her an edge when it came to seeing things that don't add up.

'Why were only they allowed to study all types when everyone else could only study one type in their coven category? And why are wild witches scolded and outlawed for doing the same but without joining this coven system?' Luz thought as she narrowed her eyes at the flashy presentation. 'It's must be some sort of power trick, mean to keep the masses in line and under control. It wouldn't surprise me if Belos made up some propaganda for the "Savage Ages" before his rule.'

Luz was taken out of her thoughts when a large Raven illusion appeared in the sky.

"Huh?" Luz let out as the raven flew towards the stage.

"And now for our special guest! You know her, you love her, give it up for the head of the Emperor's Coven, Lilith Clawthorne!" Principal Bump shouted with a smile.

'Clawthorne? Is she Eda's sister?' Luz thought.

Lilith removed her mask and cloak.

"Greetings, young witches, it is a privilege to speak to you about your futures in a Coven."

Every young witch in the crowd, minus Luz, cheered for Lilith's call out as she continued to speak.

"Much like you all, I can from humble beginnings and the way to the top is never easy. But if you work hard and let nothing stop you, you may be as I am today and earn the honor of being a Head Coven Witch!" Lilith said as some of the young witches gushed at her, "I wish you all good luck in your journey to joining a Coven!"

To finish her speech, Lilith made a wave of magic move around her to form a large astral raven like before and screeched to everyone. It then burst into a magical sprinkle as everyone looked in awe.

Luz walked out of there, she didn't know why, but she didn't trust Lilith.

'I'll have to thank Bruce when I get home, his training is paying off.'

"Luz wait!" Willow called out as she and Gus rushed out after her. "Why the sudden rush?"

"I just wanted to see more of the Covention on my own. See some of the smaller covens." Luz said, lying to them. "Maybe you should check out the plant coven? I don't think it's too late to switch tracks."

"I doubt I will ever get the ability." Willow said.

Gus and Willow walked off. Luz kept walking but bumped into someone coming around a corner.

Luz stumbled a bit as the person she bumped into fell to the floor.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" Luz asked, looking down to the person.

Amity got up and scoffed.

"Watch where you're going, nitwit." Amity said.

Luz suddenly didn't feel bad anyone if this was the girl's attitude, green hair, palish skin, and gold eyes. Luz apologized and would've helped her up but this girl has to have an attitude about it.

"Look, I said I was sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you, I should've been paying more attention." Luz said to her.

"Maybe you should've." Amity said as she wiped herself off.

'I don't like you.' Luz thought.

Luz decided to stop trying to be nice to her and continue on her way, walking past Amity to continue exploring the Covention.

"Hold on." Amity said, grabbing Luz by her shoulder.

'Seriously? What is it with this girl?' Luz thought.

"What? I already said I was sorry." Luz said.

"I want it want to ask you some questions. Like why are you wearing that cloak?" Amity asked with a glare at Luz.

"What I wear is none of your business." Luz said as she moved her shoulder away from Amity, "And stop glaring at me, not only is that ineffective at intimidating me, but I'm trying to leave you alone, you're the one that keeps pulling me back."

"And you're the one hiding your identity. Why would you do that unless you're a criminal?" Amity asked.

"If I am, then you shouldn't be talking to me. You should find an adult." Luz said to her.

"Now leave me alone, or things will end badly." Luz said, "I don't want to hurt you, I just want to walk away."

Luz turned to walk away again but Amity wouldn't allow it and reached for her hood to jerk it off!

"Hey!" Luz shouted as she turned to Amity.

"Listen here, I do not want to hurt you, but you are making it very hard not to." Luz said, "If I wanted, I could crush you like a bug, but I was trained to hold back... don't make me forget my training."

Amity didn't take her threat seriously, seeing she had round ears and that she wasn't a witch. She was a human.

"What could you do to me? You're a human, which raises the question of how you got here." Amity said to Luz.

"I'm only half human, and how I got here is a mystery to me. I'm here trying to find a way back home." Luz said.

It wasn't a total lie, she was trying to see if someone here might be able to get home.

"We'll if you are trying to find a way home, you're wasting time here since this is only for witches and I know humans don't have magic." Amity said to her.

'Tell that to Zatanna and Zatara.' Luz thought.

"Maybe I am, now let go of me so I can get away from you."

"I still have questions for you, human. Why are hanging around Willow and Augustus?" Amity asked her.

"What does it matter to you?" Luz replied.

"Answer the question."

"I helped Willow from bullies and we became friends, I met Gus from Willow." Luz said, "Now let go of me."

Not waiting for her reply, Luz forced her hand away and walked away from Amity at a brisk pace.

"Well, this is my lucky day."

Luz's arm was grabbed and she looked up and saw Lilith.

"The Emperor wants you, and Amity distracted you long enough for me to find you."

"Emperor Belos? What does he want with me?" Luz asked as she tried pulling away but Lilith's grip was tight.

"That is what we are going to find out. Now come along quietly, I would prefer not to hurt a child." Lilith said to Luz.

"I don't think so." Luz said, "I'm just trying to find a way home, I don't need to deal with him."

Lilith got frustrated and slapped Luz, which surprised both Luz and Amity. Lilith smirked, until her hand started hurting after slapping Luz. It was like slapping a rock.

"Ugh." She groaned a bit as she flexed her hand. "I told you to come quietly. That means no smart mouthing either."

Luz slowly turned her head to Lilith, frowning as her eyes gained a red glow before it faded.

"Did you REALLY just slap me?" Luz asked her.

"Quiet, Human." Lilith said, "You are lucky I don't deliver you to Belos a little... damaged."

"Try it." Luz said, "I promise you, if you do, I'll break your bones without even touching you."

"Is that a threat?" Lilith asked.

"It's a promise."

Lilith didn't take this threat seriously as she tried to drag Luz away but the human didn't budge and held her ground to keep herself from going.

"I'm going to say this one time, let me go, or things will end very badly." Luz said.

Lilith was becoming more and more curious about Luz, first with her hard as stone skin and now her unmoving position? Humans weren't supposed to be this, were they?

"You think your empty threats will scare me?" Lilith asked Luz.

"Want a demonstration?" Luz asked, "I'd be more than glad to show you why I'm being serious."

"If you think-"

Luz cut Lilith off by breaking out of her hold and grabbing Lilith's arm. She pulled Lilith down to eye level and stared at her in the eyes. Lilith immediately felt nervous and she didn't know why.

'Why is this Human making me so nervous?' She thought.

'Oh, if Uncle Bruce could see me now. I might actually make him smile.' Luz thought.

"Now, if you're done playing around, I'm going to leave." Luz said, "And be glad I didn't have to use any of my training. I've been taught by the entire Justice League and know how to destroy you both physically and mentally."

While Amity and Lilith were confused by this "Justice League," they were more focused on the level of strength and intimidation that Luz just displayed as she began walking off. It now made sense why Emperor Belos wanted to bring her in, this human was too dangerous to be left to her own devices!

"Stop, Human, you aren't going any-"

Lilith was cut off when Luz turned around, her eyes glowing red.

"I don't want to hurt you or anyone, but keep pushing my buttons, and you won't be alive to see the sun set." Luz said.

Amity actually gasped at this, fearing Luz as the strange red glow in her eyes made her appear as some sort of monster! Not a demon, not a witch, but a monster! Luz's eyes stopped glowing and began to walk away again. Though Amity was scared, she couldn't just let Luz leave! Not only did she want to know more of her "friendship" with Willow, but she knew how important this was if Emperor Belos wanted her before him!

"Stop, I challenge you to a duel!" Amity said.

Everyone around her and Lilith gasped in shock as Luz stopped, looking to Amity in confusion.

"A duel?" Luz asked her.

"If you win, you can leave freely, but if I win, you give yourself up to the Emperor." Amity said.

"And why would I agree to a duel? I can just say no." Luz said, thinking logically thanks to her training with Batman.

"W-w-well... because my family is powerful, if you don't agree, we'll help the Coven hunt you down." Amity said.

"She's right, by the way. The Blight family has a lot of sway in the Isles. If they wanted, they could have you become the most wanted criminal in the Isles." Lilith said to her.

"Fine, if it gets you off my back, then I'll play your little game." Luz said, "But don't expect me to hold back."

"Hold back? Hold back what? Humans can't do magic and you may be strong, it's take than brute strength to win a witches duel." Amity said to Luz.

"Well said, Amity." Lilith said with a nod.

"Oh, you'll see." Luz said, "I may not have magic, but I'm still my father's daughter."

Luz walked away, leaving Amity and Lilith confused. Luz really hated this place if the head of a government branch was willing to harass and assault a minor.

'Thank goodness Eda isn't here or she would say I told you so.' Luz thought.
