"Jacket," Dean reached behind him and gestured to Sam.

"What?" His brother asked, brow furrowed.

Ji-a was already hard asleep on Dean's lap. He knew he wouldn't be able to focus and drive if he couldn't touch her easily, make sure her temperature hadn't dropped. Her fleece was still damp, so he'd had her take that off. The Impala's heater was decent, but still…he didn't want her in wet clothes.

She'd fallen asleep near instantly, but her skin felt cold to the touch. That needed fixing.

"Jacket," Dean said again, "She's freezing."

Sam grumbled, but complied.

"What were you and Ruby talking about so long?" Dean asked over his shoulder as he pulled onto the highway.

"The omens," Sam replied, already sounding defensive.

"And…" Dean prompted, "There's no way you talked to her about electrical storms for twelve minutes. You know a lot about a lot Sam, but you're no meteorologist."

"And about how to kill Lilith," Sam admitted.

"More psychic stuff?" Dean asked.

"Yeah," Sam admitted.

"Be careful," Dean said.

"You know I will be," Sam snapped.

It was nearing eight o'clock when they stopped outside of Vegas to find a hotel. Ji-a was still out. Dean figured that was for the best. He planned to get some food then spend the next few hours training her before they drove to Death Valley. Whatever was going down - it was likely to occur after dark. She'd picked up on the machete fast enough. He was hoping a pistol would be just as easy.

"Hey," Dean shook Ji-a's shoulder gently as Sam got them a room at the Desert Side Inn.

"What time is it?" Ji-a asked, groggy.

"7:45," Dean replied, "We're about an hour from Death Valley. Sam's getting us a room. We're gonna get dinner then head out to the desert to teach you how to shoot?"

Ji-a sat up and looked around.

"In the dark?" She asked.

"Demon hunting generally goes on after sundown," Dean smiled and brushed the hair back from her face, "How you feeling? Don't think your temperatures too low anymore."

"Not shivering," Ji-a replied, "Not particularly tired. A little worried my days and nights will be backwards. Very hungry."

"We can work with that," he kissed her head and helped her out of the car.
