Chapter 389: Irene Joins Fairy Tail
"The time lock should end soon right" asked Dante as he stood beside Erza, both of them dressed once more. Irene was also dressed as she nodded her head and started to speak.
"Yes master, the time lock only has about a few more minutes before it ends" responded Irene in a somewhat sad tone since her time with her new master was coming to an end. Soon the time lock would end and reality would come crashing back down on them. Seeing the sad look on Irene's face, Dante started to speak.
"Hey don't be sad, everything is going to be fine" responded Dante with a comforting smile. Still worried for the future, Irene started to speak.
"There's still so much that needs to be done before the war is over master. There are so many strong opponents that will need to be defeated and I will be too injured to help" responded Irene in a worried tone, knowing that once the time lock ended all of her injuries would return. With how injured Irene had become after her fight against Erza, it was assured she would be unable to assist her master in the fights yet to come. With a worried look still on her face, Irene continued to speak.
"There is still August, the other members of the twelve and Zeref. There's also Acnologia" stated Irene, hating that she would not be able to help when there were still impossible odds for her master to face. Smiling warmly at Irene, Dante started to speak.
"That's true but it doesn't matter" responded Dante in a warm tone. Seeing that Irene was looking at him with a curious look on her face, Dante continued to speak.
"This isn't the first time Fairy Tail has faced impossible odds" stated Dante with a friendly smile. Nodding her head in agreement, Erza started to speak.
"Master is right. Fairy Tail has faced numerous dark times but has always prevailed" responded Erza with a smile.
"As long as we have each other, Fairy Tail will never fail" responded Dante in a confident tone despite the looming threats still on the horizon. Deciding to trust her master, Irene smiled at Dante as she started to speak.
"Just please be careful master and keep my daughter safe" responded Irene with a smile, praying that everything will turn out okay. Laughing slightly at Irene's words, Dante started to speak.
"Trust me, Erza doesn't need me to be safe. Erza is one of the strongest women I know, she's not called the Fairy Queen for nothing" responded Dante in an amused tone since he knew Erza didn't need his help. Erza blushed at her master's words; she always enjoyed it when he praised her skills.
"Thank you for those words master" responded Erza with a cute blush spreading across her face. Taking a moment to smile at Erza, Dante turned his attention back towards Irene as he started to speak.
"Before the time lock ends, there is one more thing that needs to be done" stated Dante with a smile. Giving her master a curious look, Irene started to speak.
"What is it master" asked Irene in a curious tone. Smiling warmly at Irene, Dante started to speak.
"First I need you to answer a question for me. Do you wish to join Fairy Tail" asked Dante with a friendly smile. Irene's reaction was immediate, she smiled from ear to ear as she started to speak.
"Yes master, I'd love to" responded Irene in a happy and excited tone before she remembered the results of her past actions against the Fairy Tail guild. With a sad look, Irene continued to speak.
"but I don't think I can" responded Irene in a sad and guilty tone, unable to look her master in the eyes as a strong sense of regret overtook her.
"Why can't you" asked Dante in a comforting tone. Irene was silent for a moment before she started to speak.
"Master I was the one that forced Markov to cast Fairy Law. It's because of me that you lost Markov" responded Irene in a guilty tone, the tears in her eyes showing that she truly regretted her actions. Dante and Erza shared a look as they thought about Irene's words. While Dante and Erza were beyond hurt at the loss of Markov, they knew what he would want them to forgive and move on. While smiling warmly at Irene, Dante started to speak.
"Irene could you please look at me" asked Dante in a comforting tone, no malice in his voice. Surprised that she didn't hear a trace of anger in her master's voice despite the devastating loss she was responsible for, Irene shyly looked her master in the eyes. While Dante smiled at Irene, he continued to speak.
"Master Markov taught Erza and I that one's past actions do not matter. If a person is truly repentant and wants to become a better person then they should be given a chance at redemption" stated Dante with a warm smile. Still not understanding how she could be forgiven, Irene started to speak.
"But Master my actions were terrible. I don't understand how you can look past my actions" responded Irene in a guilty tone, tears gathering in her eyes.
"Master Markov taught us to forgive rather than let hatred consume us" responded Erza with a smile that showed Irene that she harbored no hatred towards her for what she did. Nodding his head in agreement, Dante started to speak.
"Erza's right. Master Markov would have wanted us to forgive you. The rest of the guild will understand as well, there are no issues with you joining Fairy Tail if that is what you want" responded Dante in a comforting tone as he walked towards Irene. Stopping in front of Irene, Dante cupped her chin and had her look him in the eyes as he continued to speak.
"So I will ask again Irene. Do you want to join Fairy Tail" asked Dante with a loving smile that made Irene's heart melt at it's warmth. With tears in her eyes, Irene started to speak.
"Yes master, I want to be a part of your guild" responded Irene, tears of joy running down her face. After saying these words, Irene surged forward and crashed her lips onto Dante's. Moaning into her master's mouth, Irene enjoyed the wonderful warmth of Dante's embrace as he kissed her back. After a few moments Dante leaned back from Irene's sweet lips, happy to have a new member of his Fairy Tail family. Smiling lovingly at Irene as he took a step back from her, Dante started to speak.
"In that case, as the Seventh Guild Master of Fairy Tail, I herby welcome you into the guild" responded Dante with a loving smile. After saying these words, Dante placed the Fairy Tail guild mark where Irene's former Alvarez Empire mark was. Smiling at her new guild mark, Irene felt pure joy fill her. Irene was so happy to be a part of a guild that clearly treasured one another. No longer will Irene feel alone, she was in the same guild as her master and daughter. Smiling at her master with tears in her eyes, Irene started to speak.
"Thank you master. This means everything to me" stated Irene in a grateful tone, vowing to spend the rest of her life redeeming herself for causing Markov's death. Smiling warmly at the newest member of Fairy Tail, Dante started to speak.
"We're glad to have you as part of the guild Irene, honestly we are" responded Dante with a loving smile. After Dante said these words, he felt the magical power holding the time lock together start to fade away. With a more serious expression spreading across his face, Dante continued to speak to Irene.
"Are you going to be okay once the time lock ends? You were injured pretty bad during your fight with Erza" asked Dante with concern in his voice since he knew that Irene's injuries were about to return to her. Touched by her master's concern for her, Irene started to speak.
"I won't be able to stand for a while and I will likely fall unconscious, but I will live. I refuse to pass away now that you've given me a new lease on life master" responded Irene with a loving smile. Nodding his head, Dante was glad to hear that Irene would be in mortal danger when her injuries suddenly returned to her.
"We have a lot of friends who use healing magic. When we get out of this time lock, Erza and I will make sure you are healed as soon as possible" responded Dante with a smile before he turned his attention towards Erza and continued to speak.
"What about you Erza? Are you going to be okay when your injuries return" asked Dante in a concerned tone. Smiling at her master, Erza started to speak.
"Thank you for your concern master but I will be fine. I might be sore, but I will be able to stand and keep fighting" responded Erza, determined to keep fighting as long needed in order to protect Fairy Tail. Smiling at Erza, Dante started to speak.
"Don't push yourself too hard Erza" responded Dante with a warm smile. Giving Dante an amused smile, Erza started to speak.
"Should you be the one telling me that master? You push yourself past your limits all the time for the guild" responded Erza in an amused tone, remembering all the times Dante fought on the front lines for the guild. Laughing lightly at Erza's words, Dante started to speak.
"Haha yah I guess your right about that Erza. Just make sure you live through the war, I have big plans for you Erza" responded Dante in an amused tone, thinking about his promise to knock Erza up when the war was over. Smiling at her master, Erza started to speak.
"Mmm I can't wait for those plans master" responded Erza, vowing to herself to fight her hardest and protect the man she loved. Erza could not wait until the war was over, her pussy throbbing with lust at the thought of being knocked up by her master.
"Get ready you two, the time lock is about to fade away" stated Irene, the magic barely holding the time lock together. Nodding his head in understanding, Dante started to speak.
"We understand. I promise you two that I will protect you, it doesn't matter what comes against us" responded Dante in a determined tone, thinking that he would do anything to protect the ones that he loved. Smiling lovingly at her master, Erza started to speak.
"You won't have to do it alone master, I'll be right by your side" responded Erza in a loving tone, ready to face the entire world as long as her master was beside her. Shortly after Erza said these words, the time lock faded away. Seeing Irene's injuries return to her, Dante caught her as she fell to the ground. Catching Irene in his arms, Dante started to speak.
"I got you" stated Dante in a warm tone as he gently set Irene on the ground. Turning to face Erza, Dante continued to speak.
"Are you okay Erza" asked Dante with concern in his voice, seeing that Erza's injuries had returned, and she was struggling to remain standing. Smiling at her master, Erza started to speak.
"Yes master, I'm fine. There is no need to worry about" Erza started to say before she was cut off when she and Dante felt a massive magical power loom over them. Dante's heart skipped a beat when he felt the massive magical power, he had felt this power before and he knew who it was.
"You've hunted down more of my prey, you're starting to make me angry" stated Acnologia in a menacing tone as he radiated his magical power, making Dante and Erza shake from the immense power.
