Frisk took a right turn and arrived at a hall with a tree with fallen red leaves, ignoring Chara for the time being.

"Oh my, it took longer than I expected," Toriel said while walking up to Frisk.

"You seem tired, let me heal you, I am sorry, it was irresponsible to try and surprise you like this…"

"Surprise? " Frisk asked with a tone full of hope, he loved surprises!

"Err… oh well, I cannot hide it any longer, come inside! " she urged Frisk into the house.

Before going inside, Frisk saved, he vaguely remembered the place from the previous…

timeline… jeez this is just abusing time and space, and I have full control of it… doesn't that mean I'm immortal? T-this is godly…

This scared Frisk a bit, but it also opened a lot of possibilities!

He followed Toriel inside and instantly a joyous scent caught his attention.

His mouth started watering.

"Is that the surprise? It smells really good!" he cheerfully said as he followed Toriel, she couldn't be too bad if she risked her life to save him. (in the previous run)

"Well yes, but that is not all, I welcome you to your room." Toriel gave a small tour of the room.

A bedside table with a pie and a lamp, a closet in the middle of the room, followed by another bed with a bedside table, on the other side of the room where there seemed to be toys and a shelf with many shoes. Just as it was before

"Ah thanks, I'll be sure to keep it clean while I am in it," Frisk said. This was a habit he developed in the orphanage, keeping things tidy was much more convenient.

"What a responsible child."

"Oh right, the name's Frisk… just Frisk. Though I don't mind what you call me." as an apprentice mage, he was used to being called anything but his name.

"Very well Frisk." Toriel nodded.

What I'm about to do is risky but-

Frisk decided to sleep, though he was pressed by the time he really couldn't afford to not sleep.

He slept soundly.

What a nice scent… let's eat for now

Frisk woke up and saw a pie on the table next to him.

He took a bite and was delighted.

"T-this is so good!"

What type of magic was made to use this?

Frisk easily wolfed down the pie slice. He felt regretful he didn't save any for later.

"Wait what am I on about? I only have like 3 days!"

He had slept for 3 days and slept another 1, in 3 days the Regalia tournament would.

"No time to wait!" he said while he had bits of pie outside his mouth, but first he reset to save the Pie.

[that was so unnecessary ]

Like I care, that was too good! I'll eat it every day and reset the timeline!

Frisk ignored Chara and went outside the room, he went to the living room and saw Toriel read some books.

Oh yeah, I remember I took a book…

Frisk took a book about the history of monsters.

"Being afraid of a human ambush as well as being overcrowded, we retreated deeper into the cave. Once we reached the end of the cavern we made it to our new home, which was named "home". As great as our royal family is, they are lousy at names."

Pft, who names anything so literally? Frisk chuckled, which caught the attention of Toriel.

"Oh, my child, you are awake, I see you are keen on reading."

"Er, it's pretty much necessary if you want to become a mage, in hindsight, maybe that's why nobody wants to be a mage these days…" Frisk muttered the last part.

"Oh? Do you want to become a mage at a such young age? Why is that so?"

"Well… I just think it is very interesting." Frisk's reason to learn magic was personal, so he wouldn't tell Toriel.

"Is that so… perhaps I should add magic to your curriculum."

"Are you also a mage- wait curriculum?"

"Well, this may be surprising for you… but I always wanted to be a teacher."

"..." I'm not even staying that long…

"Well, maybe it is not that surprising… should I add magic to your learning schedule?"

"Er… about that…"

"Hmm? What is it?"

"How do I go home?"

"Um, this is your home now."

oh no…

An awkward silence ensued.

"Um, would you like to read this book with me? It's called '72 facts about humans.' did you know that humans developed the bones near their eyes to soften the blow to salvage their eyes?"

"Interesting…" too bad it doesn't work against cuts Frisk grimaced, at least he would keep that in mind when dealing with human mages.

I should use a knife that can just gouge their eyes out…

[are you going to stay?]

No way!

"I'll think about it…"

Frisk then used summoning magic to suck the air, this time at a faster speed, it didn't do much besides giving him a slight breeze.

[you can't do anything with summoning air unless you go underwater]

Ugh…

Frisk had been stubborn and thought that his idea, however, was simply not going to work, he did not have enough mana to do what he wanted.

"Uhm, Is there a way outside the Ruins?"

Toriel's expression turned sullen.

"I have something to do… I will be right back. Stay here, please.

However, Frisk immediately felt something was wrong and chased after her.

He soon went downstairs.

"You want to know a way 'home' right? Ahead of us lies the end of the ruins, a one-way exit to the rest of the underground, I am going to destroy-"

Poof!

Frisk had morphed and gone past Toriel, he quickly turned back into a human.

"Sorry but I am pressed by time!" he bolted towards the door, however, before he could go, a wall of fireballs stopped his way.

"Every human that falls here meets the same fate… they come, they leave… they die."

"Huh? I'm gonna be fine! I just need to get out!"

"Naive child, I cannot let you go, if you do…the monsters… Asgore will kill you…"

No, I'm currently unable to die, but there's no way she'll believe that.

Frisk braved the fire wall and went through it. He quickly got rid of his shirt that had caught fire, revealing some freakishly developed muscles for a kid.

At the sight of this Toriel was confused, how can a kid that focuses on learning magic could have such a physique?

However it didn't matter, she dashed and got in front of the door.

[!]

[toriel blocks the way!]

Uh… goddamn I don't want to hurt her

[what will you do?]

[act]

It's regretful, but I can't use magic to escape.

[talk]

"Uh, remember the 72 facts about the human body?"

[Toriel does not seem in the mood to talk]

Then a barrage of fireballs went frisk's way, he had difficulty dodging even when enveloped by mana.

She's quick on casting, how come she can use magic and I can't?

[-3]

[-3]

Hmm, I'm oddly calm for someone who's dying…

He then recalled something he learned along the way.

'Sometimes you have to spare even when they aren't outlined yellow. '

"I will not fight you."

More like I can't fight you…

After a couple of spares, the fight went smoothly.

"Haha, I can't even save a child… If you truly want to leave, I will not stop you, however when you do, please don't come back…"

She seems… lonely. As one of the youngest apprentice mages in history, Frisk did not have peers.

Frisk slowly went towards Toriel and hugged her. As a believer of the god of love he was used to giving hugs in congregations, Toriel healed frisk during their embrace.

"Goodbye, my child…"

"Erm… my shirt."

"Oh…"

They both went upstairs in awkward silence, Frisk eventually had gotten a green and yellow striped shirt, and he eyed the oddly quiet Chara, who had been wearing the same shirt.

"Thanks for everything I guess…"

"Good luck my child."

Frisk entered the dark hallway, but nobody came, he was soon greeted by the cold of the outside.

Damn… I wish I had fire magic right now… shivered as he made his way towards the underground. He saw a big branch on the ground.

Hmm, it's a little too big for me… what a pity, it is very sturdy too.

Crack!

Just as he was walking he heard a crack.

This… it's completely broken!

Frisk brandished the toy knife with eyes full of wariness. However, he saw nobody but he wouldn't let his guard down either way.

Frisk went his way onto a small bridge when he suddenly felt a chill on his spine.

" N."

!

Frisk froze up, he was scared out of his wits, how did he get so close without him noticing?

"Don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and shake my hand."

Frisk gulped and turned around… and then shook the stranger's hand.

Pfffftttt!

On the Ruins.

"M-mom?"

"It cannot be… is that you?" Toriel asked the yellow flower. "My child I'm so sorry-"

Shank!

"Ah, thanks mom~ I will make sure to use this well!" Flowey said as he stabbed Toriel in the heart.

"It sure is nice taking your soul, I would have never been able to do so without you Frisk!" Flowey's form changed. Later that day after frisk left, the ruins were filled with Dust.
