It was supposed to be a quick pop-in-and-pick-up some paperwork.
Scott, home from college, had offered to get a needed contract. He hadn't expected to disturb a robbery at the office.
Now, tied to a chair and gagged, he could do nothing but struggle against his bonds as one of the thugs picked up his phone, opening it with his thumbprint.
'Dad, there's an issue here at the office. Come quick.'
The man laughed.
'Your visit was fortuitous. Now we have bait to get your father here, and he will give us everything.'
Scott struggled harder.
But to no avail.
