Meg and Hayley continue to be friends from then on, but once news of Meg's "death" reaches all of Quahog the four secretly attend the funeral themselves, Meg is angered to find barely anyone even there, and Chris is more focused on all the pity dates he started receiving from his recent loss. Hayley comforting her, yet Meg still decides she wants to move away, Jeff saying he knows a place.

Said place turns out to a crappy old apartment building, but least it's something. It's in a town just between Quohag and Langley Falls, which in this timeline are right next to each other, how the characters find each other so easily. Meg gets her own room, as do Jeff and Hayley. Klaus meanwhile is denied a room cause he's a fish and is literary tossed into the buildings fish tank, his new roommates being just normal non talking fish, who mostly just stare at him.

"Well still better than my apartment in Germany." Klaus admitted to himself.

Meg and Hayley, while off together trying to find something to do, get found by a group of girls who also live in the building. Seeing this gives Jeff the idea to do something with Klaus, being the only other guy around.

"Don't play dumb, you know there's always been a spark between us." Klaus flirted towards a red betta fish, which doesn't talk and simply gives off some bubbles in response. Just then Jeff comes into the room.

"She told me she was 18!" Klaus said to Jeff in a panic.

"What?"

"... So what brings you here?" Klaus asked, avoiding the conversation altogether.

"Dude I wanna do something, and you're the only other dude here which I know." Jeff admitted, Klaus happily saying he's just glad to be included at all.
