Road to Osaka Part 2: To the Beach
It's day two of the Amamiya Family (and also Mana, Mitsu, and Kaito's) vacation. We pick up where we last left off in one of the bedrooms where Kimiko and Kaito are seen sleeping soundly in each other's arms. The sun shining through the curtains is what woke the couple up from their slumber.
"Mmm, good morning, Kim," Kaito smiled.
"Morning, babe," Kimiko yawned, "Sleep well?"
"Yeah," Kaito said, "Especially since I was by your side last night."
"My thoughts exactly," Kimiko said, "If I haven't said it before, you're a really good cuddler. I just feel so safe and loved when I'm with you."
"You up for some cuddles before we have to get up and greet the day?" Kaito asked.
"I'm always ready for some cuddles," Kimiko said as she and her boyfriend started to hug each other underneath the sheets. Their cuddle session would be cut short, however, as Minato was heard outside.
"Kim, Kaito, wake up," Minato was heard from outside the bedroom door, "We've got to head downstairs and grab some breakfast before we head over to the beach."
"The beach?" Kaito asked, excitement in his voice, "That sounds great!"
"Come on, Kaito, let's go get ready," Kimiko said as she and her boyfriend got out of bed.
After they got dressed and packed their bags with swimsuits, sunscreen, and towels, the group of eight went down to the hotel's breakfast buffet to grab something to eat. They didn't want to eat too much as they knew they'd be going to the beach in a few moments, just some eggs with toast and fresh cut fruit and orange juice.
With breakfast over and done with, the group piled into the car and drove off for Tokimeki Beach.
After finding a place to park, the group entered the beach and went into the changing rooms, which came in the form of tents, to change into their swimsuits. The boys finished changing first, with Ren wearing red and black striped trunks, Kaito wearing white swim trunks with blue and green floral print (he also has his shell necklace on from the last chapter), and Minato wearing the same trunks he wore when he tried to become a model, that being a pair of light blue swim trunks with purple lightning bolt pattern. The three men and Morgana were now waiting for the girls to get done changing.
"I wonder what's taking the girls so long?" Minato wondered.
"You know how girls are," Kaito said.
"Be patient, Minato," Ren said.
"I'm sorry, dad," Minato said, "It's just that Mana and Mitsu told me they bought new swimsuits and I'm dying to see how they look in them."
"I'm sure it'll be worth the wait," Kaito said.
A few moments later and the girls came out of their respective changing tents. Ann was wearing a burgundy colored bikini with a dark brown and burgundy colored wrap skirt around her waist. Kimiko was wearing a light pink front-tie bikini with white polka-dots and a skirted bottom. Mana is wearing a white bikini with yellow sunflower print. Finally, Mitsu is wearing a black bikini with red rose print.
A blush grew on all of the guys' faces when they saw their respective significant other in their swimsuits.
"How do we look?" All four girls asked in unison.
"I love the look, Ann," Ren said.
"So beautiful, Kimiko," Kaito swooned.
"You girls look amazing," Minato said to Mana and Mitsu.
"Glad you like it, sweetie," Mana smiled.
"What are we doing first, everyone?" Mitsu asked.
"It's the beach Mitsu," Ren said, "Anything goes as long as it's legal. We'll be here for the next few hours, so I say we set up somewhere, then we can enjoy ourselves."
The group found a vacant spot on the beach where they set down their umbrella, which they kept in their car, and laid out their towels. After that, it was time to have some fun.
Scene #1: Mana, Mitsu, and Minato are swimming about in the ocean. The Kitagawa Twins are getting into a splash fight, with Minato staring at them the whole time, unable to take his eyes off of his beautiful girlfriends.
"Take that, Mitsu," Mana said as she splashed water in her sister's face.
"Oh, you're not getting away with that one!" Mitsu said as she splashed Mana back.
Mana and Mitsu keep splashing each other until they notice Minato staring at them, at which point they splash him.
"Hey now!" Minato said as he splashed at his two girlfriends, getting involved in the splash fight as well.
Scene #2: Ren is seen surfing along a wave as Ann watches from the shore. She had hearts in her eyes as she watched her husband surf.
"That's my man," Ann swooned.
Scene #3: Kaito and Kimiko are going snorkeling and they take in all of the sea creatures that pass them by. The two of them are amazed at the underwater environment and they're beyond happy that they get to experience this together.
Scene #4: Ann and Ren are sunbathing together and feeding each other some fruit that they packed for the trip. Next to them, Morgana is taking a nap.
"Enjoying your beach day, my love?" Ren asked.
"Yes," Ann said, "Especially since I'm sharing it with you, babe."
Ren and Ann kiss each other before going back to soaking in the summer rays.
Scene #5: Mana grabbed some seaweed from under the water and put it on her head to make herself look like a sea monster. She's currently seen scaring the likes of Mitsu, Minato, Kimiko and Kaito, laughing all the while.
Scene #6: Ren, Kimiko, Ann, and Morgana are watching Minato and Kaito face off against Mana and Mitsu in volleyball. Kimiko was seen cheering whenever Minato and Kaito scored a point, causing Kaito to give his girlfriend a thumbs up. Eventually, however, Mana and Mitsu ended up winning, leaving Kaito and Kimiko convinced that Minto let the twins win so he can stay in their good graces.
Scene #7: Ren notices a small line of people approaching a jet skier that's offering 'banana boat' rides. Basically, the jet skier will ride his jet ski with the banana boat attached to the back of it, and he'll ride around the bay.
"Anybody down for a banana boat ride?" Ren asked.
"Yeah!" Ren's children and their significant others cheered.
"Count me in!" Ann said.
We then see the seven humans having the time of their lives as they ride on the banana boat while Morgana watches them from the shore.
"Those guys are so crazy," Morgana thought to himself.
The group had such a good time at the beach that they were there for almost the whole day. The sun was starting to go down as everyone was seen eating an assortment of fried foods on their spot on the beach.
"Aw man, today was such a blast," Minato said.
"I haven't been to the beach in so long that I forget just how fun it can be," Kaito said.
"I'm glad you all enjoyed your time here," Ren said.
"Where do you want to go from here, dad?" Kimiko asked.
"Well, since nighttime is coming, I figured we'd go to the Kuchu Teien Observatory and take in the city lights," Ren said, "I hear Osaka really comes alive at night."
"Good plan, Uncle Ren," Mana said.
"So, I say we finish up here, get changed, and head over to the observatory," Ren concluded.
"Okay," His wife, children, cat, and younger friends agreed.
We then cut to after the group finished their fried foods. They all retreated to their own changing tents so they could get out of their swimwear and into their street clothes. We see Minato in his tent as he takes his clothes out and puts them on the bench inside the tent. Before he could get out of his swimsuit though, he heard the sound of two females clearing their throats. Minato looked to find Mana and Mitsu, who were still clad in their bikinis and looking at him with love in their eyes.
"Mana, Mitsu, what's going on?" Minato asked.
"We couldn't help but notice the way you were looking at us, sweetie," Mana giggled.
"So, we figured we'd come in here and give you a little surprise if that's okay with you," Mitsu chimed in.
"Oh, heck yeah!" Minato grinned, "Let's just try and be quiet so no one hears us, okay?"
"Okay," Mana and Mitsu said as they got closer to their boyfriend.
A few moments later, we see Ren, Ann, Kimiko, Kaito, and Morgana, now dressed in their street clothes and standing at the entrance to the beach, still waiting for Minato, Mana, and Mitsu to show up.
"What's taking them so long?" Kimiko asked, impatiently tapping her foot.
"I hope they're okay?" Ann worried, "Maybe we should check on them?"
"Wait, here they come!" Ren said as he saw his son and the Kitagawa Twins approaching them. He couldn't help but notice that Mana and Mitsu had very satisfied smiles on their faces while Minato looked rather flush.
"Ready to go?" Ann asked.
"You bet," Mana nodded, "Next stop, the observatory!"
The group started to walk back to the car. As they did, Ren and Minato quietly talked amongst themselves.
"Did everything go okay in the changing tent, Minato?" Ren asked his son, "You three were over there for a long time."
"Can we talk later dad?" Minato asked, "It's kind of a 'private matter' if you know what I mean."
"Don't worry, son, I get it," Ren said, understanding what went on between Minato and his girlfriends.
We then cut to the group as they're seen at the top of the Kuchu Teien Observatory watching the sunset. As the sun disappeared over the horizon, they made sure to take pictures, and many more once the city lights started to turn on. The whole city of Osaka really came alive once the sun went down, and all eight members of the group just stared in awe, uttering things like 'So beautiful', 'Magnificent', and 'I've never seen anything like it.'
Once they felt like they overstayed their welcome at the observatory, the group returned to their hotel room where they spent the rest of the evening hanging out in the infinity pool and jacuzzi and ordering room service for dinner.
After dinner, they all showered before retiring to their rooms for the night, dreaming about the fun times they'll have in the following day.
