Road to Osaka Part 4: Night on the Town
Very early on the fourth day of the group's stay in Osaka, we see Kaito, Minato, Ren, and Morgana making their way to the edge of a dock. They have fishing rods, nets, and a bucket of bait on hand. As they walk, however, Ren is dragging a very tired Morgana by his tail as the cat whines and complains about having to get up so early, but to the likes of Minato and Kaito, the cat's cries sounded like irritated yowls.
"WHY!? WHY?!" Morgana cried at Ren, "Why do we have to be up so early in the morning!? Why can't I go back to bed!? YOU DEVIL WOMAN!"
"We can take a nap later, Morgana," Ren said, "Besides we have to be out here early as that's when we're the most likely to catch some fish."
"I wish I was Lady Ann, Miss Kimiko, and Mana and Mitsu," Morgana muttered, "They don't have to get up early to go to the spa."
Ren and Ann decided to use the start of Day Four of the vacation as a Boys/Girls Day Out Scenario. Ren would take his son, Kaito, and Morgana fishing while Ann took Kimiko, Mana, and Mitsu to the spa.
The three men and one cat find a place on the dock and sit on the edge of it. Minato passes a rod to his father and friend before getting one for himself. Once the men put their bait on their respective lines, they cast them out into the water and wait for the fish to come.
"I'll be honest, guys," Kaito said, "I've never gone fishing before."
"Really?" Minato asked.
"Yeah," Kaito answered, "My dad always wanted to take me, but my mom was always afraid something would happen to me. I don't even think she knows we're out here right now."
"Don't worry, Kaito," Ren said in a reassuring tone, "We'll keep this our little secret."
"Great," Kaito chuckled.
As the three of them waited for a fish to get caught on one of their lines, they decided to engage in small talk.
"So how are things going with Mana and Mitsu, Minato?" Ren asked his son.
"They're going great," Minato smiled, "I'll admit, I wasn't sure how to go about a 'three-way relationship', but we're making it work. We're giving each other equal amounts of love, and Mana and Mitsu don't mind sharing me."
"Glad everything's working out for you," Ren said, "And how about you, Kaito? Are you treating Kimiko okay?"
"She hasn't complained to you yet has she?" Kaito asked.
"No," Ren said, "Anytime I ask her how things are going between you two she has nothing but great things to say about you. And for the record, I'm glad that you're the guy my daughter fell in love with. I look at you as though you were my own son, you know?"
"Thanks Uncle Ren," Kaito smiled, "I'm happy to hear that…So, you think we might get to a point where I can start calling you 'dad'?"
"Don't push it," Ren chuckled.
"Anyway, dad, Kim, Mana, Mitsu, Kaito, and I were thinking about going down to the Dotombori District later tonight for a sort of 'night out'," Minato said, "Is that okay?"
"I don't see why not," Ren said, "It's you guys' vacation too and you, Mana, and Mitsu are legal adults. Of course that means you three are responsible for Kaito and your sister."
"Of course," Minato said.
"Do you and Auntie Ann want to come with us?" Kaito asked.
"Thanks, but no thanks, Kaito," Ren said, "I think Ann might want to use this opportunity for us to get some 'alone time'."
"Want us to take Morgana with us so you and mom are completely alone?" Minato asked.
"If you want," Ren said as Kaito suddenly felt a tugging on his line.
"Oh! Oh! I think I got a bite!" Kaito exclaimed as he started to reel the line in, "Oh, he's a big one!"
"I hope it's a tuna!" Morgana thought to himself.
As Minato helped Kaito reel the fish in, Ren got the camera ready. Eventually, Kaito successfully caught his fish and he held it up proudly so Ren could take the picture. Kaito wore a big smile on his face the whole time.
Meanwhile, at the spa, Ann, Kimiko, Mana, and Mitsu are seen enjoying a nice, relaxing outing. They're getting shoulder/back massages, manicures and pedicures, and they're seen taking a soothing soak in the hot springs that were there.
"I can just feel my pores opening up," Mana said with a relaxed smile on her face.
"I needed a day like this so badly," Mitsu said, "Thanks for inviting us, Auntie Ann."
"You're welcome, Mitsu," Ann smiled, "How are you girls enjoying your vacation so far?"
"The best," Kimiko said as she sank a little bit deeper into the water.
"We can't thank you or Uncle Ren enough for bringing us along," Mana said gratefully.
"We've known you and Mitsu since you were babies," Ann said, "And you two are dating my son. We're happy to bring you two along. On that note I assume you're treating my baby boy like gold?"
"Of course," Mitsu said, "Mana and I wouldn't dare hurt him. Isn't that right, Mana?"
"You bet," Mana said.
"And how are things going between you and Kaito, Kimiko?" Ann asked.
"Kaito is the best boyfriend I could've ever asked for," Kimiko swooned, "He's sweet, he's smart, he understands me, he supports me, and…well, I know you're my mom but…he's pretty good in bed."
That last part Kimiko said in a low but audible whisper as Mana and Mitsu were heard snickering at her comment.
"I'm just happy that you're happy, Kim," Ann said before moving on to another topic, "Anyway, from what I hear you kids are going to the Dotonbori District for a night out?"
"That's right, mom," Kimiko said.
"Well, you girls have fun, I won't stop you," Ann said, "It's your vacation too, just please be careful."
"We will," Kimiko and the Kitagawa Twins said.
"Why don't you and Uncle Ren come with us, Auntie Ann?" Mana suggested.
"As tempting as that is, I think we're just going to stay in tonight," Ann said.
"Okay," Mana said as the four women went back to enjoying their hot springs.
After the girls' spa trap and the boys' fishing trip, they all met up at a restaurant for some lunch where they talked about how each other's respective mornings went. The guys immediately noticed how the girls were 'glowing' from their spa trip, complimenting them and stroking their ego.
After lunch, everyone returned to the hotel room for some much needed naptime. Once everyone awoke, however, Minato, Kimiko, Kaito, Mana, and Mitsu got into their best party clothes and readied themselves for a night out in the Dotonbori District. Morgana was also with the five younger members of the group. Ren wanted to see the five younger members of the group off as he's seen by the door with them.
"Remember, kids, don't be afraid to call us if something goes wrong," Ren said.
"Yes, dad," Kimiko said.
"Don't talk to anyone you don't know, and don't accept anything anyone tries to give you," Ren added.
"Read you loud and clear, pop," Minato said.
"And most importantly, have fun," Ren concluded with a smile.
"Can do, Uncle Ren!" Mana cheered.
"Let's go, everyone," Minato said, "the Dotonbori District awaits!"
Minato led his sister, girlfriends, cat, and friend out of the hotel suite and towards the Dotonbori District. Once they were gone, Ren closed and locked the door before a naughty smile appeared on his face.
"Alone at last!" Ren said to himself as he walked over to the dresser in his and Ann's room.
The dresser was where Ren had stored the bottle of Takemi's Love Potion for the vacation. But when he opened the drawer, he didn't see the bottle anywhere. He started to get worried as he began looking through more drawers in the dresser. That was when the bathroom door opened behind him. He turned around to find Ann standing at the bathroom door wearing nothing but a skimpy blue bathrobe, the bottle of love potion in her hand, and behind her was a nice warm bubble bath made for just the two of them.
"Ann…" Ren said with a deep blush.
"Looking for this?" Ann asked, seductively, as she held up the bottle of love potion, "Come and get it, handsome."
Ren didn't need any more incentive than that. He walked right into the bathroom with Ann, closing the door behind them in the process.
Meanwhile at the Dotonbori District, the five young adults and one cat were having the time of their lives.
Scene #1: The six of them are riding on the Tombori River Cruise, waving at onlookers and admiring the lights and 3D statues as they pass.
Scene #2: The group pays a visit to the Hozenji Mizukake Fudo-son Temple, home of a moss covered statue of the deity Fudoson. The take pictures in front of it before sprinkling water on it as a way to pay their respects.
Scene #3: The humans of the group are at Dotonbori Tsuribori: A Fishing Game Experience, where they compete to see who can catch the most fish. Mana comes in third place, Kimiko comes in second, and Kaito comes in first.
Scene #4: The six of them are at a souvenir shop looking through an assortment of dolls and other baubles to remember their vacation by.
Scene #5: They're at the Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum looking at all of the different types of art exhibits on display. While they're there, Mitsu learns how to make a traditional Ukiyo-e picture, which she proudly holds up when she's finished.
Scene #6: The six of them are now riding the Dotonbori Ebisu Tower Ferris Wheel to get a good aerial view of the district.
We end this montage with the six of them eating dinner at a karaoke bar where they laugh and chat over sodas and fried foods.
"Can we all agree that tonight rules?" Minato asked.
"Totally," Kaito said.
"Best night ever!" Mana cheered.
"I love tonight!" Mitsu smiled.
"I never want to leave this city," Kimiko said, "Osaka is the bomb!"
Morgana was heard meowing in agreement.
As the group continued to converse and chat, Kaito noticed that no one was occupying the karaoke stage. That was when he got an idea.
"Hey, babe," Kaito said to Kimiko, "No one's up on stage. You want to sing with me?"
"Let's do it, babe!" Kimiko nodded confidently as she and her boyfriend got up on stage and grabbed the microphones.
"Pick a song, Kim, any song," Kaito said as Kimiko walked over to a touch screen behind them and picked a duet for her and Kaito to sing. As soon as she selected the song, the music started playing through the loudspeakers.
(Cue: 'Señorita' by Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello)
"Oh, I gotta record this," Minato said as he, Mana, and Mitsu recorded her sister and her boyfriend on their phones.
And with that, they started singing.
Kimiko: I love it when you call me señorita. I wish I could pretend I didn't need you. But every touch is ooh, la-la-la! It's true, la-la-la! Ooh, I should be running. Ooh, you keep me coming for you!
Kaito: Land in Miami; the air was hot from summer rain. Sweat dripping off me. Before I even knew her name, la-la-la. It felt like ooh, la-la-la. (Yeah, no) Sapphire moonlight, we danced for hours in the sand. Tequila sunrise, her body fit right in my hands, la-la-la. It felt like ooh, la-la-la, yeah!

Kimiko: And I hope it meant something to you.

(End song)
With the song over, Kimiko and Kaito took a bow as everyone gave them a round of applause. As the applause died down, the couple went back to their seat so Mana, Mitsu, Minato, and Morgana could sing their praises.
"That was awesome, guys!" Mana exclaimed.
"Thanks, Mana," Kaito smiled.
"Did you guys record any of that?" Kimiko asked.
"We'd have to be idiots not to," Minato said as he held up his phone.
"Post that on Tweeter right now," Kimiko said, "Our friends back home are going to love that!"
"Doing it right now!" Minato said as he logged onto his Tweeter page to post the video.
"I had so much fun singing with you, Kim," Kaito said as he wrapped an arm around Kimiko's waist.
"Me too," Kimiko said, "We have to go karaoking again sometime."
"I'd love that," Kaito said as he kissed his girlfriend.
After that, the group continued to eat their fried foods and drink their sodas before paying for it and returning back to their hotel suite for the night.
When the group returned to their hotel suite, they noticed it was dead quiet and from Ren and Ann's room they heard the couple snoring. Minato goes over to the room and opens the door ever so slightly to see his parents asleep in each other's arms under the covers.
"Whatever mom and dad did while we were gone, it must've tired them out," Minato said.
"I think I can piece together what happened, but I'd rather not say," Mitsu said.
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm still wide awake," Kimiko said.
"Yeah, so am I," Kaito said, "What do you guys want to do now?"
A moment of silence passed before Mana had a suggestion.
"Anyone down for some night swimming?" Mana asked.
"As long as we're quiet so we don't wake mom and dad," Minato said.
With that, the five young adults got into their swimsuits and went out to the infinity pool where they had a nice quiet night swim session and conversed about the day's events. After a while, they went back inside and freshened up.
(Kaito and Kimiko showered together, and Minato, Mana, and Mitsu showered together, but nothing explicit happened. Just two different group of lovers cleaning each other off with nothing but smiles on their faces)
Once they cleaned themselves up and got into some pajamas, they played some video games on Minato's Funtendo Switch before going to sleep.
